[Music] this is probably the biggest kitchen organization video ever in this video i organize all of the top cabinets all of the lower cabinets all of the drawers the pantry and the refrigerator my name is michelle and i'm gonna start from the beginning so we moved into this house about six years ago and over the course of six years we've accumulated so much stuff and i have actually never done a massive organization in the kitchen before until now it takes me several months to completely organize this entire kitchen and it's actually grouped into four different videos so all of these videos combined gives you about two hours of massive organizing inspiration different ideas anything that can help motivate you or inspire you to take that leap of faith and organize the spaces that are the most painful for you right now i'm definitely not a professional at organizing but the transformations in my entire kitchen are completely shocking i did tons of research on trying to find budget friendly organizing products that would work for me and my lifestyle and also work in the kitchen so from one real life busy mom to another i never want you to feel embarrassed about spaces just getting out of control because that is totally where i was at before i decided to take on this project so whether it takes you a couple days or it takes you a few months we all have to start somewhere so stick around and get ready for some massive kitchen organizing and if you enjoy this content today i provide lots like it so make sure you are subscribed so that you don't miss any upcoming videos so let's get started [Music] floats around me keeping me safe and sound and when i fall you tied a rope to me you're blessing me every day i was down with an illusion like a sparrow with broken wings but now i shine with your reflection on me i'm getting back up [Music] you [Music] set me free [Music] set me free [Music] hey y'all welcome back to my channel or welcome if you are new today's video is a massive kitchen declutter and reorganization if you can't already tell we have a pretty large kitchen we have a total of 13 drawers and 19 cabinets so this project took me about a week to go through and reorganize everything there were a couple drawers and cabinets that were already organized so in this video i actually go through eight drawers and 13 cabinets i take everything out i rearrange and make everything so much more functional and i'm gonna show you guys exactly how i did it and how to get started and hopefully this video will motivate you to actually do it if you are new here and you like this video then go ahead and click that red subscribe button and then leave me a comment letting me know because i love to welcome each and every single one of you to my channel my name is michelle and i'm a mom of two little girls and i am just a normal person so if i can do it then you can do it so let's get started [Music] another thing i wanted to quickly mention is that i'm also going to be doing a little redecorating and moving things around and i just got my package in from rose forever i was really excited to get these roses in and i think that they will be perfect kitchen decor you have never heard of rose forever they are a new york based company that launched in 2019 they create luxurious flower bouquets that last for a whole year they are hand crafted and they smell so good they use natural oils to preserve the roses to make them last a full year so these are real roses you can get them in either round or square shaped boxes and they come in a variety of colors i ended up going with the black velvet box and the light pink roses now they have a ton of different bouquets that are up to 50 off and they've given me a discount gold for an additional 15 off by clicking the link in my description code below and using code michelle015 what i love most about these roses is that they're so beautiful they smell so good and they last a year long i'll show you how i rearranged some of my kitchen decor to add these beautiful roses to my kitchen a little later in this video so getting started is typically the hardest part when you're starting a organization project if you have a lot of clutter like i do in my kitchen then it tends to be a little bit overwhelming which is why it has taken me so long to actually do this project i'm going to share some tips along the way i have read two of the home edit books and one of nikki boyd's beautifully organized books so i've gotten a few ideas on how i began this project and i've used some of these tips on some of the other videos i did like reorganizing our playroom and also reorganizing our pantry the first tip that they both recommend is starting in your storage spaces so if you're going to begin an organization project then you want to start in either your drawers and cabinets or maybe in your closets or attics or garages this is because once you make it to your main areas then and you find stuff that you are not ready to get rid of then you have space to put it in storage if you need to the next tip they recommended is to always start with the bottom and work your way to the top so as you can see here in my kitchen i'm starting with all of the lower cabinets and i am just taking everything out i began with this main section and i took everything out i didn't start with one cabinet at a time and that is because i plan to rearrange so i'm going to utilize some different spaces and make it more functional than it was before typically start with the biggest pain point and the smallest task and the one thing that i knew that i wanted for sure to be reorganized was my pots and pans my bakeware and my cutting boards so when looking at product that is what i started with how can i better reorganize my pans how can i better reorganize my pots and how can i better reorganize my bakeware everything else in my kitchen i can worry about getting product later if i even need product at all it definitely doesn't have to be expensive but just start with what you want to be the most functional and easy to reach [Music] this upcoming summer will be six years that we have been into this house and when we first moved in we our old house used to have like maybe four cabinets total and my husband said when we moved into this house there's no way we're ever gonna fill all of these cabinets and somehow we have managed to do just that [Music] [Music] well welcome to my world sailor got into my lipstick drawer while i was organizing and it's probably nine o'clock at night and i have stuff everywhere [Music] i did have a little bit of a challenge picking out product for our cabinets only because in our cabinets we have a shelf so in order to put the cutting boards upright i had to kind of figure out how i was able to do that i needed longer ones and i i couldn't put them in completely left to right i really couldn't put them in long ways so i was just trying to figure out how to utilize the space the best my first initial thought when i bought these was to utilize them horizontally that way i could utilize all of the space even below the cabinet but i quickly realized that that wasn't going to work i did just to stack the really tall heavy bigger cutting boards onto one side of the cabinet this way i can utilize all of the space in the back and then the organizing racks i just will put upright and put all of the pans in there some of the smaller cutting boards i also put in there as well [Music] this used to be one of our junk cabinets where we just had random stuff but since it's right next to the stove i wanted to make sure that i put anything related to baking in this cabinet and utilize that space another pro tip recommended from the home edit is to try and fill only 80 of your space and leave the remaining 20 percent open this way you can easily see find and grab what you need my next pain point was my pots and pans so that's what i began working on next i ordered two of these expandable pot and pan racks and i am just putting it together you can input different sizes if you need so i was reading the directions and trying to figure out exactly how to put it together it was actually easier than i made it look these little dividers you can make them as white as you need to so i first just made sure that it fit in there and then i went to put it in my drawer so that i could get the right size once i got an idea of the size that i needed to be then i knew that i had about six pans so i was just calculating the space that i needed to put in between [Music] these are little stoppers that you can put attached to the bottom and that just helps so that it doesn't slide back and forth especially when you're taking out and putting back in the pans of course for me it ended up not fitting i accidentally expanded it out a little too much so i had to go back and redo them but now i have everything the right size and i am just putting in all of the pans i used to have both pots and pans in here so i lost a little bit of space which is why i reorganized to the next cabinet the top drawer i had previously organized this drawer in another video and that holds all of the tupperware i purchased one more of these expandable drawers and that is where i am going to put all of my pots this time i set all of the pots in the cabinet already before adding the dividers that way i know where to put each divider [Music] also my friend marlene cardenas just created a kitchen organization video so i'll link her video down below so you guys can go check her out [Music] i already had this lid organizer so i'm going to use it to store the lids for the pots this way i can keep everything easy and available in one spot [Music] these are just extra tupperware containers that i usually store our fruit in so usually they are in the refrigerator but now i have a space for them when they are not the next cabinet is what was across from the pots and pans i don't have any organizing racks to go in here i really didn't know how to organize that so i just placed it into where i could easily see the last thing that i am doing in this section is working on everything else so everything else that i have is pretty much what was in one of our junk drawers which consists of 100 million koozies that i probably need to get rid of some of these and just some extra stuff do you guys have a good system to organize your koozies leave me a comment below and let me know so what i'm using this cabinet for is to put our drying mat and rack on as well as the koozies and anything extra it's nothing too fancy but at least i can see what i have and i can easily access the koozies and the drying racks it is now a day or so later and i am moving on to the next section of the kitchen here i'm going to start with this cabinet which just consists of a lot of our bigger pots and some appliances like our crock pot and instant pot i didn't really change much in this cabinet the main thing that i did and wanted to do was clean it and wipe everything down again we have that shelf in there i don't really want to remove it because i think that it might rip the cabinet out but i still like having it in there but we do lose some of the space in the back so i just basically put the pots and pans back in and tried to configure it where it was functional [Music] this next cabinet is across from the one that i just did it is closest to our living room i had organized this one already i got rid of a bunch of junk in there this is also where we store the blanket so i just kind of refolded that one this cabinet is right next to that one and it has also already been reorganized i did that one in a previous video but just wanted to show you next down the line we have both of these cabinets which have more kitchen type appliances and just a bunch of random stuff i'm doing both of these at the same time because both of these hold similar random stuff so i'm just going to go through declutter re-categorize and then put back everything that needs to go together [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Applause] just from those two cabinets i have stuff all over the ground as well as on the countertops so my next assignment is to categorize like or similar items together [Music] if you can tell i didn't really get a whole lot of product for the cabinet space i basically when i just started out and determining what type of product i wanted again i just focused on pots and pans and cutting boards and you can always go and reorganize your cabinets just make sure everything's cleaned out you can get rid of stuff and then come back and add additional product if you need to in fact in what i've noticed in most of the home edit series and videos is that they actually take everything out clean out and declutter and then go to the store and buy the product if i had all day long to do that and i had time to leave the clutter all day while i went shopping then that would probably be the preferable way but for me i just kind of planned out the things that i needed the things that i wanted it to go bought some product beforehand did all of my club decluttering and organizing and then know that i can always go back and purchase more if i need to that way i'm not spending a whole bunch of money up front and this cabinet is a meat grinder that belongs to my husband i didn't realize how many parts were all tied to this meat grinder until i pulled out both from the cabinets i was just making sure that it would shut all the way so that complete cabinet is dedicated to that [Music] [Applause] [Music] this next cabinet i have more of the smaller appliances that i just grouped together like an old george foreman that was given to us a quesadilla maker waffle maker my blender and any of those smaller kitchen appliances i actually didn't even know i had some of this stuff but now that i've organized it i will finally be able to get to it so i can use it i also went through and got rid of a lot of stuff some stuff is on the counters this is my last short and i saved this one for last because this is the biggest hardest task i was avoid taking over this cabinet and it's just a mess it looks like i have my own pharmacy in here but in all honesty most of these medicines were expired and i didn't even know half the medicines we have because if i can't see it and get to it then i don't use it so i just end up buying more stuff and then it just becomes a mess also right before covid hit people were saying you need to stock up on all different types of cold medicines so we have a pretty big stash another reason why i wanted to complete this kitchen reorganization is because this kitchen has never really been organized as we've accumulated stuff we just started filling up the cabinets and before we had kids this was our medicine cabinet or this is our medicine cabinet now but now that we have kids i planned on moving all of this medicine up to a top cabinet even though we have child proof locks on a lot of our cabinets i just feel a little bit safer if we can get the medicine moved up top the next thing i'm doing is going through the medicines and categorizing them based on like cold and flu sore throat or if they are vitamins or if they are more for your stomach or if they are ointments and bandages all of the bins that i'm using to categorize these medicines are from target they're super affordable and i plan on getting labels and labeling them but i cannot find my label maker i am typically a pretty healthy person but after having kids i promise you we were getting sick at least once a month so this is another reason why i have so much medicine luckily it has gotten so much better while they're building their immune system and it's helped keeping the sickness out of our house [Music] now that i have everything categorized based on what type of sickness it is then i am just going to start unloading this cabinet this cabinet also needs to be decluttered i do not have time in this video to do all of my upper cabinets this is why i started at the bottom and i will eventually work my way up but now i have just cleared out some space so that i can move all of the medicines into this cabinet also having all of this organized is going to save me so much money because instead of just buying a new ointment or something that i need i can actually find it and see that i already have it [Music] baby i'm finishing throwing out some of the stuff that we aren't going to use now that i have opened up this cabinet i can input all of the remaining items in here this is the last cabinet and it is just filling in all of the random stuff now we are on to a new day and i am finally moving on to our drawers this is one of my most annoying drawers it is a junk drawer where it just has so much random stuff that has been accumulated and i have been avoiding it because i mean just opening it is stressful so i finally just going to tackle it and get it done i guess i'm gonna stay but i'm just gonna wait in the background watching you talk to her [Music] [Music] when i thought about tackling my drawers i did want a little bit of product and these white trays i found at ikea i actually purchased three of them i think they were super affordable and i have several junk drawers this is the only one that i'm cleaning out for this video but i do have two more that i plan on using later on i thought this was absolutely perfect for just like the small little random stuff that we need like pins and pads and phone chargers and anything that we need what i also like about it is underneath this is where i used to store a ton of coupons so underneath i do have a couple coupons that are not yet expired but mainly all of the main stuff is on top my next drawer is our main silverware drawer i did have a couple containers in there and because my coffee pot i use an espresso and my husband uses the keurig which is on the other side i just had been putting all of my coffee randomly right next to all the silverware these bamboo bins i got at target several years ago and i used to have one of those bins in another drawer so i actually cleared it out from that door and i'm just moving it into this drawer [Music] next drawer right next to the dishwasher is where i keep some kitchen utensils and that other drawer is a lot bigger drawer and that's where i keep like party stuff so i plan on switching the two around hey i have more space for the kitchen utensils the rubber organizer that i'm putting all of this stuff on i got that at ikea as well and i wasn't sure if i was going to use it for that so what i did was kind of place everything on it and see if it works and then if i like it the way it is then i'll just take the whole mat and move it to the other drawer [Music] now i'm going to clean out this larger drawer because this is where i want all of those kitchen utensils to end up [Music] but just wait i really need to tell you something [Music] now i'm going to move everything over and then kind of shuffle and reorganize everything so that i know that it'll function right i'm also taking containers from other drawers and seeing how that will work so whenever you are organizing don't forget of all of the other stuff you have and maybe it is time to use it in a different spot [Music] [Music] i feel like [Music] this smaller drawer is now going to be the drawer where we keep some party supplies and straws and things like that [Music] these wooden drawer dividers i got on amazon and i planned on using them in a couple drawers just to use as a separator they come in a pack of four i believe and they are expandable [Music] this next drawer is everything that is related to grilling i had this drawer a tiny bit organized and i had a container in there that i ended up moving so i am just going to take everything out like i've been doing with the other cabinets clean it out and then i'm going to use those bamboo drawer dividers i think that that would work perfect in this area [Music] i initially bought two boxes of these bamboo drawer dividers i didn't have an idea of exactly where i wanted to put them i just knew once i got organizing then i would figure it out and i always have bathroom drawers to do so anything that is left over or extra i know that i can always use it in the bathroom too [Music] so this is an extra silverware drawer and also some extra grilling stuff that we have some random stuff as well [Applause] [Music] after i cleaned everything out i'm going to start slowly placing things back i had those metal containers from a long time ago so i don't remember where i got them and the clear ones or they're kind of white-ish clear those ones are from target and they're super affordable [Music] with you i'm gonna leave it all behind find myself i'm gonna start with you yeah i'm on my way now this last drawer has our dish towels and oven mitts in them so this is going to be the final drawer that i organized for this video [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] these are the bamboo drawer dividers that i used from amazon so i am just going to take one and use it in this drawer as well [Music] even though this drawer looked like a nightmare whenever i first opened it it's actually a fairly easy drawer to organize the only thing that i had to take a little bit of time to do was to roll up all the dish towels that way that they would fit perfectly in that drawer [Music] now i'm going to start placing everything back and i have all of the dish towels divided from the oven mitts using that drawer divider [Music] now i'm just going to clean up the countertops a little bit and rearrange a couple things in the kitchen in this center tray i'm going to place my roses that i received from rose forever as well as a couple more easter decorations and spring candles i wanted to move these spring vases in between our main windows right now they have little easter eggs in them but once easter's over ice can simply just take those out and have those against the window [Music] i also picked up a new utensil holder from target i thought that that was really cute so i'm just going to switch out the one that i currently have and move all of those utensils into my new one [Music] always feels good to have a clean kitchen on the inside and out but i'll give you the space so you can figure this out very last thing that i wanted to show you was how to create a sashay board i think i'm pronouncing that right but basically i created one i just started with three different types of cheeses then i added three to four different types of meat and i'm kind of just spreading it around the board i got the idea from pinterest and next i am going to add the fruit i just cut up some apples and then i will add some grapes and then lastly i add a little thing full of nuts and crackers but i am going to end the video here thank you guys so much for sticking with me i hope that you got some great ideas and make sure you're subscribed and you hit that bell notification so you don't miss another video [Music] [Music] your is i would let you know how i feel stop dancing to the news again [Music] stop pretending [Music] hey y'all welcome back to my channel before i get started on my massive kitchen organization i wanted to introduce to you a company called factor if you have been following me for a while then you know that i am big on health and fitness so i was really excited to partner with factor actor provides healthy and delicious meals that are delivered straight to your door i know for me personally after having sailor and savannah it's become increasingly hard to find healthy meals that are simple and easy because it's always so easy just to eat the extra chicken nugget off of the girl's plate that they didn't finish and then over time it just becomes a bunch of junk food i lose my energy i just feel bloated and i need something that is simple that is healthy and that can really keep me on track and as a busy mom i also need something that is really convenient and especially if chris is working late and i don't cook dinner then it's so easy for me to grab like a little mac and cheese or a bowl of cereal and then i always regret it afterwards factor has pretty much come to my rescue because they take all of the work out of meal prepping and planning and make it really easy to stay on track all of their meat is sourced from pasture-raised grass-fed animals that are antibiotic and hormone-free they are non-gmo and preservative-free and also have no refined sugar added each meal is cooked from scratch from real chefs using the freshest ingredients each meal can be chosen for you or you can pick based on your taste preferences and dietary restrictions i had them pick the meals for me and everything i got looks so delicious but they do have tons of different options you can choose from such as seafood veggie meals different types of meat options you can even do keto if you're doing keto specific paleo paleo-specific high-protein lower calorie low carb dairy free i mean you can customize your meals based on any type of preferences you need you can also add on options like protein bites desserts and juices the really cool thing about it is that nothing is ever frozen so it just takes like either two minutes in the microwave or i just stuck it in the toaster oven for about five minutes for my first meal i made the queso fundido and y'all this was so good and lastly with a subscription you can actually get a 20-minute consult with a registered dietitian i shared a little bit of my meal with savannah and she absolutely loved it try out factor which i know that you will love make sure you use the link below to get 90 off your first three orders plus free shipping on every order so let's get started on this massive kitchen organization this is actually the last part of my kitchen that i am finishing up organizing in this video i am focusing on all of my upper cabinets in the kitchen as well as two drawers that i didn't get to in my last kitchen declutter video the reason why i didn't get to these two drawers in my last video when i did all of the other drawers is because i really have to think about how i'm going to organize it and and also make it more functional i know that it's more simple to take everything out and then declutter it and then put everything back in but i needed to figure out how i can maintain it meaning what kind of product do i want to use do i want to use any product at all what will make it easier for me to after i do this huge project how can i keep it this way and because that is my main focus when i am thinking about organizing not just doing a declutter but actually maintaining the consistency of it that's why it takes me a little bit longer to start and finish a product because i like to think about how i'm going to actually do it so in every single cabinet and drawer i have new products that i'm trying out either really really cheap products from ikea or dollar tree or some more maybe more expensive ones that i know are going to last a while that are from amazon i know everyone has a drawer like this so this drawer in particular is for electronics like where you keep all of your phone chargers any type of phone chargers we have flashlights electronic stuff like nuts and bolts or like loose parts that came with different stuff like light fixtures or loose parts to different appliances or anything like that that is what this drawer is designated for the white tray that i put in there and that clear tray as well those are both from ikea i think that they were only a couple of dollars i actually bought three of them and i used them in one of my other drawers as well but what i'm doing now with the plastic bags is that if there was a set of something like i said some of the light fixtures had came with loose parts or loose screws that go specific to that light fixture opposed to taking everything out and organizing it by um nails and screws and and everything like that i decided to just keep the sets together so that's what i'm doing there is putting everything into little baggies and saying like these screws are for this specific thing and then that way it's categorized by what the loose part is supposed to go to everything else i'm just randomly picking a spot for and seeing how it goes there what it looks like there if i have enough space in that little compartment for it and then if i don't then i'll just move it to a bigger space or just kind of rearrange and play around with it [Music] i also get got rid of a lot of stuff so everything i was left with was all of these cords and they go to like phone chargers and basically they're pretty much all phone chargers or chargers for something so i have an iphone and chris has an android so i feel like a lot of the things we have like headphones or anything extra they all use that android charger so that's why we have so many of those like android android chargers and chris when he got a new phone his phone charger changed as well so that's why we have different sets of chargers do we need them all probably not but i know that some of those chargers go out so that's just why we have some extra whenever i'm putting everything back in here i realized i needed a better system for how to keep those phone chargers rolled up so it's actually the next day i went on amazon and tried to find something that i could keep those chargers rolled up and they came in i had a couple different options to choose from to help keep phone chargers rolled up but for some reason i just liked these they're little magnets so they're silicone and you put it around the after you roll up the charger then you wrap that around and then the magnet is what hold it holds it together there are ones that are velcro and those were a little bit cheaper but i decided just to go with these silicone little roll up things and see how it goes so there there were a little bit of mixed reviews on these saying that the magnet part doesn't stick well but for me i didn't have any issues with this magnet i think that it fit perfectly and it kept everything rolled up and nothing ever came undone so for me this product was a win [Music] i'll probably be doing a lot of talking and explaining throughout the video just so that you can get an understanding of what i did and what worked and what didn't and what products that i thought were really useful um but i'll go ahead and introduce myself if you are new i know i'm late in the video to do that my name is michelle i'm a mom of two and this is the last series to my kitchen organization video but i mainly do lots of cleaning videos um sometimes i do home decor and lots of organizing projects i am fairly new to organizing so i just kind of got tons of inspiration and ideas and i decided that after six years in this house i was going to start organizing one space at a time if you like getting organizing and cleaning inspiration then be sure that you're subscribed so you don't miss any of my videos i also share some on my instagram michelle o'malley 7-eleven so you can follow me there as well once i got all of the cords organized and i'll show you just how big of a difference this was before and after [Music] [Applause] [Music] of those cord wrappers so the chargers that we do keep plugged in i just wrapped it around there so that way it doesn't make a big mess on the counter [Music] the next cabinet that i'm moving on to is a cabinet that's kind of on the end of our kitchen and this is where i have been keeping all of our yeti or those arctic insulated um different cups or those really insulated koozies and at the very top i've had some random candles like if they're off season candles like fall candles or christmas candles i'll just put them up there at the very top and then we also had some of those glass beer glasses which i forgot that they were up there because i never go up there or see them so my whole idea with this space was that i needed something to be able to grab those yeti cups as well as the lids those cups we use on a daily basis more so than any plastic or glass cup that we use so i really needed to find something to where i can see them i can grab them i can match the lids easily and and when i wash them i can put them back a lot easier without having to try and make room and shove everything in there and then just hope that the cabinet door will shut but leave me a comment below let me know the last project that you organized or if you are getting inspired to organize a different space let me know which space you are planning on organizing next in your house [Music] so once i have everything off of the cabinets and i've cleaned up the cabinets a little bit i can actually see what i have what we use and what i need to get rid of but because my main focus is making the yeti cups more functional in the space i got these m design cup holders from amazon um they were a little bit pricey i guess they were about 39.99 for for four racks and each racks holds three cups so that's a total of 12 cups i did read the reviews and these only fit the regular size cups so if you have the extra large yetis like if you can see that blue cup and that camo cup on the very end of this video those are the larger cup the larger round cups those racks will not fit those cups which i knew that before i bought them but i did count and i have enough of the regular size cups and coffee cups that um i went ahead and got them anyway and because the this shelf allows me to stack these cups vertically then i get so much more space out of the cabinet we have so many of these cups and most of them were either given to us as a gift or through work [Music] you can see that i could fit two racks on the bottom shelf and two racks on that middle shelf and then with those bigger cups since i only have i think i have like four of them or maybe a couple more then i still have space on the right side where i can store those in my part one kitchen organization video which i've talked about before and i'll also link below i completed that one a couple months ago and i've recently been getting a lot of comments on that video why do you have so many pans and why do you have so many pots and um yes i have six pans and several size pots so i know i'm gonna get a lot of questions on why do you have so many yeti or arctic cups and i i'm just gonna say right now i'm not a minimalist i'm just trying to make sure that the items i have fit the space i also read this with the home edit there they don't go by the minimalist philosophy they just say don't have too much stuff for the space you have so if it looks way too cluttered or i have way too much stuff for the space then i will go down and declutter i don't like a lot of clutter but i'm not a minimalist either so hopefully that makes sense i just need it to work for me and you guys should organize to make it work for you as well but now you can see the before and after in this space [Music] next thing i'm going to go through is all of our cabinets with cups so we have plastic cups we have coffee cups we have the kids sippy cups and then we have glass cups so we do have a lot of cups so i already mentioned before that we mainly just used the yeti cups but we have a lot of those plastic cups for when we have tons of friends and family that come over like almost every single weekend we're entertaining so the kids like some of the older kids will just come in and get a plastic cup i'd rather them grab a little plastic cup than a glass cup especially when they're outside playing i use the regular coffee cups i like having the regular coffee cups better chris uses the yeti coffee cups so i always like having the coffee cups with the handles because they would fit in my car cup holder and chris always uses the yeti the smaller yeti cups for coffee so leave me a comment below what do you typically drink out of your either your co your coffee or maybe you just drink tea in the morning what do you typically like to use those smaller yeti cups are real coffee mugs [Music] and the last kind of cups we have are all of the kids cups and sippy cups we don't typically use the glass cups very often unless it's a special occasion but my goal here is to take everything out except the glass cups i think i'm going to keep the glass cups there something that's really dysfunctional in this space is all of the coffee cups all of the kids cups i have too many kids cups so i am constantly trying to shove them in there and then hopefully when i shut the cabinet they don't all fall out when i reopen it and then a lot of those plastic cups that we just get from random restaurants or if we go somewhere and they give you um a souvenir cup we have all of those cups so i'm going to go through and declutter a lot of those plastic cups that we don't need and try to make the space more functional another thing that i found on amazon were these like coffee lids to where you can stack your coffee cups so that you get double the space so right now i have two areas where i keep coffee mugs so i wanted to just move that down to one area so these little lid organizers they're expandable so they can fit different size coffee cups and you just place them on the top of one and then you stack the other one you feel so far away so you're close where's your mind that i wanna [Music] so here i'm just expanding that lid out because this is a larger coffee cup and then i'm putting um another larger coffee cup on top so now i have just one area that holds all of the coffee mugs and i get double the space out of it the bottom space where i used to store coffee mugs i decided to make this kid cups because these are probably the cups that we use the most i also went through some of the cups that they have outgrown and those also went in the donate pile now these are all the souvenir plastic cups so i think that i have a whole box of cups that i have gotten rid of and i'm just basically using the plastic cups that are that we use the most often [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] now before this space wasn't like terribly unorganized it there was just too much stuff in it and it was really hard to put away and get stuff so i am really excited the way that it turned out and these are all the cups that i've gotten rid of so far the next space i'm organizing is our other junk drawer this drawer just got piled up with mainly manuals so like every time we bought something and it came with like a user manual or a warranty or something we just started throwing them into this drawer and then to be completely honest i didn't know what else was in this drawer because you know it's kind of like if you don't can't see it then it just pretend like it's not there so that's kind of this feeling i got with this drawer is that it just every time i opened it it stressed me out so now it's time to go through it and see what actually is in there i have the girls actually helping me go through this drawer so when i start pulling out everything i would hand it to them and then they would help me put it in a little trash bag and that way we were had just i had decided to throw away most of these manuals i have seen before that some people store them in filing cabinets we do have a filing cabinet and it is jam-packed i don't know exactly what's in there but i probably eventually need to go through that too but my whole idea with all of those user manuals is that nowadays you can pretty much find everything online so anything that i bought like for example like the dyson vacuum or any kind of thing that i bought that i needed instructions on how to use you can basically find that online so that's why i threw majority of them away the only ones that i kept was that if i had a specific warranty number tied to it then those were the papers that i decided to keep for every word so i want you guys to leave me a comment below do you have right now any type of junk drawers that are like crazy cluttered like i have or for the most part is your kitchen already organized [Music] here are all the trash bags of papers and things that i have thrown out from that drawer so now i have used these bamboo drawer dividers i had i already had these because i bought them when i did all the other cabinets in the kitchen and they work really well so they're adjustable so you just have to get the size that will fit into your cabinet and i decided that any of the warranty type stuff i was going to put on one side of the drawer and divide that and then i was going to see what i had and then divide everything else on the other side those blue trays i actually got from dollar tree a long time ago and after the girls help me throw everything away savannah is like we are done organizing today we need to go outside and have fun which we do later on that day but the those blue bins are from dollar tree i really don't go to dollar tree that often i think i went once and i bought a couple of trays and i was gonna put them in another drawer and i just didn't like the way they looked so i had those from a while ago and i remembered i had them so since i really don't open up this drawer that much then i decided just to put them in there those little yellow things with the things on the end those go to our robo vacuum and then i also just have a bunch of other more random stuff too so this is what it looked like before and now i can actually see everything in the drawer [Music] next i am moving on to this cabinet i try to organize this i think when my girls were babies and this used to have like tons of bottles and everything that i needed for baby and newborn phase and i just have not gone and reorganized it ever since they have grown out of that stage this is also where i keep all of their different medicines and vitamins and stuff like that and then where we keep all of the adult medicine is in the cabinet next to it which i it used to be in one of our lower cabinets but in my last kitchen organization video i cleaned out the lower cabinet and moved it up top so all of our medicines are organized on to the cabinet to the left but the thing that i still need to organize is the top two shelves in that cabinet a main pain point in this cabinet is i just don't know what medicine we have and what is expired that was a cough syrup and i don't know i i when i pulled it out of the box the very end of it had busted and i don't know how long it had been leaking in there but it was already expired so i had to go ahead and get rid of that so i have tons of baby stuff like i mentioned before in this cabinet and i've had a hard time or let's just say i've been putting it off organizing this because i not sure what to do with all that stuff because we haven't fully decided yet if we are going to have another kid so do we save all of it do we not save all of it do we donate it i just had a hard time deciding exactly what to do with a lot of this stuff and then when i think okay yeah i'll just donate all of it or get rid of all of it and then i just never go in and actually do it so the first thing i need to do in this cabinet is clean it out clean out all of that cough syrup that's act it actually was almost like molasses so it was hard to to scrub up but i got it all cleaned up [Music] the next thing i'm doing is going through all of the medicine or everything that was in these little trays i know you're looking at it and thinking oh my goodness that is a lot of different medicine and you're right i have like children stuff i have infant stuff i have extra stuff for like when we have traveled um teething stuff like this is stuff from when my kitten sailor is three and a half now and this is probably stuff from when she was a newborn so i am going through all of it and discarding anything that's expired i'm getting rid of all the boxes and then putting everything back in in a little container where i can easily see it and i don't know about you guys maybe you can leave me a comment below but when my kids were a lot younger i feel like they were sick like at least once a month so we do have a lot of stuff from antibiotics and prescriptions and just things that they needed throughout the years so the whole bottom drawer is dedicated to like medicines and the little cup lids to take the medicine and the little syringes that all of the medicine comes with as well as vitamins or anything else that they need um i went ahead and organized this and this is all baby stuff that i don't really use so i decided that i was just going to put it in that third shelf and um at least it's organized so if i just decide to get rid of it i can just pick it up and and do something with it or if we decide to keep it then i know where it is and i can keep it there next i had plastic bags full of old bottles that were at the very top shelf and then now this is the other cabinet the top two shelves from the cabinet on the very left that i also had like baby stuff pregnancy stuff nursing stuff and i decided that i was going to just take everything out that was baby related and go through it and then figure out what i wanted to actually do with it now i know this might not be typical kitchen appliances type stuff to have in your cabinets but when we moved into this house i mean we have tons of cabinet space in our old house we probably had about four cabinets total so when we moved into this house you know the first thing we thought is there's no way we're ever gonna fill all of these cabinets um so there are some random stuff here and there that we keep in the kitchen just because that's just where most of our space is but like i mentioned we have tons of bottles i decided to keep like a few bottles just in case you know something happens i really wasn't sure what to do with all of the other used bottles um the first set of bottles i got when sailor was born i kept them because we knew we were going to have a second kid but then i ended up buying new bottles anyway so in my mind i'm thinking you know if there is a chance for another kid then we i might just end up buying new bottles anyway or i don't know if you're supposed to reuse them i don't know if you're really supposed to donate them but i wasn't sure what to do but i probably got rid of a ton of bottles and i just kept a handful and one cool thing about cabinets that i didn't know about is i saw it in another video i actually didn't know that you could move the shelves from the cabinets by just like unscrewing this little thing and moving it up i know that seems obvious i've just never done it before so in order to get the bottles way up there because i don't we don't use them anymore i had to lower that cabinet so that they would fit but definitely the bottom two shelves are the ones that i need to get to quite often and then the top two shelves are more for storage [Music] and here is the before and after in this cabinet [Music] and this is the before and after in the top two levels of my other cabinet [Music] all right if you've made it this far in the video then leave me a comment below and let me know your favorite type of food to cook in the kitchen but i saved this part for last because this would take the most work so this little wood cabinet or shelf that we have i bought it a few years ago at a company called paul michael and this is the same company where i got a lot of my christmas decorations so it's kind of a local company but i always wanted to use it as a spice rack so we finally hung it in our pantry and this is the last cabinet i'm organizing that has all of our spices now this cabinet does not look terrible from the outside but let me tell you it is very dysfunctional it is very difficult to find a spice and if i am looking for something then i have to like take out five or ten spices to get to the one that i need and then put everything back and then it gets all unorganized again so this is just not working so i'm just going to clear everything out of this cabinet and i did find these spice organizers on amazon i've actually seen a lot of people have them like on instagram and stuff so i just decided to get a 24 pack of these like glass containers and they come with all the different labels it comes with a little funnel so that you can pour the spices and then it comes with a pen so that you can write if there's not a label then you can write which spice it is so chris is my husband and he's actually helping me this evening um do all this so i asked him to go ahead and find 24 spices that we're going to pour into the containers we have duplicates of spices because like i said if i don't see a spice and i need it for a recipe then i end up just wasting money buying another spice of something that we already have so hopefully this will also not only save time but also save money so he is going through all of them picking the top 24 spices that we use the most and also getting all of the duplicates lining them out and then we're just gonna begin pouring um each spice into those glass jars and then labeling them [Music] maybe if i change the way i love that little rubber funnel was a great thing to have whenever we were pouring the spices that way the spices don't get everywhere but the only thing is that almost every single spice if there was um spices that stayed in that funnel we would have to go rinse it out and then dry it because you don't want it wet while you're trying to pour it otherwise it would just stick so that kind of became a little time consuming so there was a few we just kind of poured free-handedly without that funnel [Music] this kit came with two different labels there was a clear label and then there was also that black label so the black round label i have seen people put on the top of the spice so that if you like have them in in a drawer then you can see the top of it and pull it out but since we are going to be putting them on on that shelf we put them at the front um the front of the jar [Music] so i realized now that i put the curry powder on a little bit crooked i had savannah in my hand and i was trying to get a good angle for the camera and pouring all of these spices i feel like took forever i don't remember like the exact time but i know that it just felt like it took a long time maybe because there was just stuff everywhere on the counter we were also trying to get the kids ready for bed and i was just trying to finish up this project but i am obviously incredibly glad that we did it the hardest part of doing anything is actually just getting started and and although i know that you're watching this whole video and maybe you're feeling a little bit overwhelmed if you're planning to do some organizing in your own kitchen but just remember that i just did this one day at a time i set a goal for the entire week that i was going to tackle one drawer or cabinet a day so over a week's time is when i finished this whole project and even on top of that it's taken me years to realize the benefit of having an organized space in the past i would just make excuses and say i'm too busy to do anything and it's true i am busy but getting these types of projects done really save time in the future so i do really encourage all of you to give it a go it does not have to look pinterest pretty just make it work for your space that's always my goal in these projects is just to make it work for me and my home but now that i have all 24 spices poured i have plenty of space to add to these 10 shelves for now we just kept it simple and put it in alphabetical order and it's been so much easier to find even if just looking for the salt and pepper we've been able to get it so much easier and faster i'm really happy with the way that this turned out the last thing i have is all of the extra spices so when i watch videos and when i see pinterest nobody has all of these extra spices and i'm like what do you do with all of your extra spices that are not in the in the little jars or don't fit in the little jars and um so i'm still using this cabinet to store all of those extra spices [Music] one thing i wanted to be able to do is to see all the spices so i ordered this little rack from amazon and this will help me level the different spices so i can see what we have [Music] so again i'm moving this rack up because the extra spices that we have that are not like your common spices you could say uh are in a lot bigger tube tubs and jars so i'm gonna move this shelf up so that way i can fit everything that we use consistently on that bottom shelf and like three tiers and then um some of those bigger bigger bottles i'll i'll put in the shelf right above that with these spices i didn't categorize them by the type of spice i just categorized it by the container size [Music] i ended up having to move that second shelf one more rack up and then everything that went in the top of that cabinet was things that we kind of used on a seasonal basis so for example if we have a crawfish boil we don't use crawfish seasoning all the time so that's kind of like a yearly thing so anything we didn't use very often was at the very top and some of the spices that we used a little bit more that didn't go into one of those glass containers that wasn't a common spice went into this cabinet [Music] so i am extremely pleased with the way that this turned out and even more so than when whatever it looks like which i think it looks great but the fact that i can just find stuff so much easier makes it that much better i will show you guys a before and after here in just a minute but i just wanted to say thank you so much for watching i really hope that you got lots of inspiration and ideas from this video and make sure that you're subscribed so that way you don't miss one of my videos and here are the final before and [Music] i just afters [Music] lose my breath [Music] get this party started i got the music playing loud how you like my outfit i have to say i'm kind of proud i got my dancing shields on and i'm feeling dangerous let's get this party started yeah we gonna be adventurous we went to the club like we always do this girl caught my eye said how do you do she said i am not interested thank you that she left the room i'll have the usual give me the usual [Music] give me the usual another usual [Music] [Music] hey y'all welcome back to my channel and it is finally time for the pantry reveal i organized my pantry about a month ago right before christmas and i actually didn't notice how dysfunctional it is until looking back at it now at this point in the five and a half years that we have been living in this house i have only organized this pantry once and that was because of a totally disgusting gross reason and i'll get into that story a little bit later but other than that this pantry has never been organized as you can tell this is not a pantry remake over or reorganization this is me organizing my pantry for the very first time and i promise i'm not a hoarder like most of us aren't it's just that things get carried away and they become not important and then you don't really realize how dysfunctional it is until you step back and see how dysfunctional it was my name is michelle and my channel is on cleaning and organizing content and motivation in all aspects of your life and if you are new here then please leave me a comment below i love welcoming each and every single one of you who are new to my channel or if you've been here before so let's get started [Music] so planning this project when i first thought about reorganizing my pantry i had no idea where to start sometimes watching someone else do something can make it seem a lot easier than it is but when you're getting into your own space then you kind of just draw a blank and don't know where to start i started off with the same issue and here are some of my tips that i started planning before actually getting started the first place i started was kind of picking a theme that i wanted for my pantry if you go on pinterest or watch other videos you can get lots of ideas and then maybe it starts becoming overwhelming because you'll see some with wicker baskets wired baskets clear containers different types of dividers clear turntables white turntables acrylic turntables glass jars seal type bends and you get you get what i'm saying so what i first started with was picking a theme for example if i were to use the wood wicker baskets then i would probably try and coordinate the whole pantry with like a wood or wicker theme if i wanted to use black wired baskets to store some of the breads and stuff then i might look for containers that have black tops to kind of match it together but what i ultimately ended up doing was going with anything that was white i guess to keep it a little more modern looking so i went to ikea and got white baskets i'm using clear containers and any type of top or lids that i was going to plan on using i was going to make sure that those were also white or clear since on the home edit if you ever notice they take everything out of the pantry see what they're going to use go to the store buy a bunch of stuff and come back i didn't have enough time to do that so i tried to get a good amount of inventory taken before i went to the store so if i ended up buying extras or less i would just adjust later on the first thing i started with was baking i looked at all of the different types of baking things that i needed like the brown sugar the flour the oats and just wrote down the number of containers i would need for my top items in there the next thing i took inventory of was cereals and pastas so we do like to eat cereal and i limited it down to i think four cereal containers and one pasta container the next thing that i had way too many of and was a pain point in the pantry was our canned goods i knew i needed some canned shelves and i knew that one rack held about 9 to 12 cans so i just started off with two and wrote that down i followed this process just writing down the number of containers i would think i would need for snack bins for bread and chips and for turntables another thing to keep in mind when planning despite looking at my disaster kitchen right there you may think that you need 85 baking containers because just look at my kitchen for an example the amount of food that i had but i would suggest going for less because you can always purchase more containers and might be surprised on the amount of food that you actually get rid of [Music] also you can see here that you can utilize other spaces to put things in your pantry especially if you have a really small pantry you can move stuff around i'm using my drawers to store our ziploc bags foils parchment paper baking stuff because in the corner of our pantry i would never know when we ran out of plastic bags or ziploc bags and this way i can actually see it and it's so much more easier to get to [Music] next i'll show you the affordable products that we ended up picking out these are some of the products i got everything in this box is from ikea so these are just plastic bins i think they're about five or six dollars each and then these are all glass containers that i'm gonna put like flour brown sugar anything for baking i actually got these lids separately so these have the seal on them so you can change up the different lids for it but since these have a seal um that's what i got to go with these these bigger containers i'm gonna see how i'm gonna use them i'll probably put these in the bottom bottom of the pantry and store some back stock or extra things that i have from amazon i got all of these so they come in a different variety of sizes and i'm going to put some of the girls snacks in here because not only do i have their stuff also stored in this cabinet too so my plan is to move some of their snap from this cabinet back to the pantry so i also got from amazon lazy susan turntables so okay i'm using those and then because i have a lot of snacks and like protein stuff then i got some of these these are great for like granola bars or any kind of bars like that because they come in divided sections so i have a pack of four of those i have your standard um trays so these are indesign um i also have the i designed ones and then i have off brand ones from amazon so i'm going to load up the pantry and see what all the containers look like one more thing i forgot to mention i got these racks from walmart so everything in the pantry is going to either be clear or white so these cracks are for the cans since i have like a million canned goods and i also got an additional turntable let me tell you this let me tell you right now your ex was a kiss still burning didn't know i missed this passion in life now i'm addicted so now let me tell you why what is up with your smile it's impossible not melting irresistible considering the amount of food i had at the time i didn't know that this was actually more than enough product that i needed another tip when organizing is to think about only filling about 80 percent of the space and leaving 20 of the space open [Music] i also promised you guys a story about the one time that we had to clear out our pantry and the really disgusting story is that one day i went in the pantry and i saw this little like worm kind of bug crawling on the pantry and i looked and i was just like that's gross there's a bug in here and i kind of cleaned it off and then the next day i went in and i saw two more they were like little caterpillar bugs crawling on the wall and i was like that's disgusting we have a monthly exterminator come out and i even had him come and look at him and he goes oh those little worms those aren't going to hurt anything just you know kill them and wipe them down so i tried not to worry too much and then the next day or the next couple of days i would go in the pantry and i would see like they had started creating these cocoons and by that time i was like okay what the heck is this where are they coming from and what in the world are they then one day i went in the pantry and saw three moths flying around and i was totally disgusted and they were pantry moths laying eggs and the food in our pantry and turning into these little caterpillar worms building cocoons and hatching and flying around our pantry and some of them were even in our house and at the time my husband worked nights and i didn't want to go home and it's not like they can hurt you it's just the fact that they're just gross so in that case we finally found where most of them were so they hide in like wheat or bread or anything like that they were in an old cereal box so we had to clean out the entire pantry a lot of the stuff we placed in bags so it says to place them in bags and then if one of them hatches or comes out then you'll see the the moth in the bag so if you notice here i have some of the stuff placed in bags why i didn't just throw this out like expired a long time ago i don't know i was probably just so disgusted and wasn't even thinking i've obviously haven't touched it since that happened but i did read that a lot of times they will lay eggs at the grocery store in some of these foods like the oats or the breads or the cereals and then you bring them home and you don't know that maybe that batch had them so i just remember going to a grocery store one time and i saw one of those pantry moths flying around and i was like oh no i am getting out of here i am not going through that again i think it took a few months to actually get it to where i had not seen any moths but that was just a super gross experience so just for warning you in case you ever see any little critters hatching cocoons in your pantry [Music] [Music] so when i took everything out of the pantry i sorted it and categorized it on my kitchen counter and i then went in and organized all of the bins in the pantry and now i'm going back throwing away all of the expired food and now categorizing everything into the bins [Music] [Music] another thing i wanted to share is that a pain point in my life right now is just not having enough time you know taking risks being a mom you can't create any new time but you can make use of the time that you have i had to sit back and really think about what were some of the simple things that were taking so much of my time and one thing was just being able to find things i never really thought about organizing as a time saver it actually made me more stressed out thinking about a project like that but after watching a few videos just like this i got inspired to do our own and what i thought would just be a pretty pantry with just some cute labeled bins ended up saving me a lot of time that i could spend with my girls saving me money that i didn't have to buy things that i already had in my pantry and just didn't know it also got me looking at a lot of the things i was buying and how my pantry was turning into a bunch of processed food so getting rid of a ton of stuff just made me feel more free and like i had so much more free use of my time and just some of those simple things in life that were stressing me out were really helping make my life more manageable and hopefully it can help you too [Music] um [Music] [Music] used it all still have so much i want to talk about but i messed it up and there you go oh oh oh oh oh oh oh there you go walking out that door it felt so close another thing i wanted to point out that if your pantry was as bad as mine make sure that you dedicate a lot more time than expected i started this project in the morning and thought that it would take me just a couple of hours and i think at this time with a couple breaks i it ended up taking me a good five to six hours i have gotten rid of 50 if not more of the items in my pantry that were so expired and things that we didn't use or eat i am so pleased with the way it turned out i probably was able to do this for around 150 dollars worth of product but even without the product it's just so much more manageable and functional i have this turntable in the back for stock so basically if any of this stuff gets opened it moves over to the refrigerator i have some of these clear containers for snacks these are the glass containers with baking essentials and i did write the expiration date below with tape i ended up putting all of the oils and vinegars into that bin and these large bins at the bottom are for breads and chips this smaller lazy susan is for some of the sauces that we use more frequently and once some of them are open they'll also go in the refrigerator and the top is for most of the cereals and pastas and anything extra that we had in the pantry we used this bigger bin to store our trash bags and also some of the recycle bags and plastic bags another thing i wanted to point out is that for our pantry door we have this amazing barn door installed we have a friend who does custom barn doors they're called barn doors by bradbury i'll link them below and they installed this barn door for us a couple years ago we have a small space in between our refrigerator and our pantry so just having this sliding door made it look so much better and way more functional we went with a chalkboard and a whitewash design so we could write our grocery list or anything that we needed to right on the pantry door [Music] i wanted to show you a real life one month update i have not gone in and reorganized anything i just picked up the camera and started filming you'll notice that a lot of my bins are real empty meaning i don't even use a lot of the stuff in them but the maintenance part of it becomes manageable because you don't know you need organizing until you see someone else do it and hopefully that's why you're watching [Music] i finally also decided to get labels i got these labels off of amazon and i got them in white to keep up with the white theme but you'll see in a minute that i probably should have got them in black because they're hard to see but once you have had a functional pantry like i have had for the last month then once it starts getting unorganized you realize how dysfunctional it starts becoming and how much easier it is on this side of it if it's always been dysfunctional like it was for me before i organized it and i didn't even know it was then you never know how much better it is on the other side and and that's what helps me to keep maintaining it sometimes we're crashing down but we get up and start [Music] [Music] thank you guys so much for watching i hope you got tons of ideas tips motivation to tackle your own pantry or just make it more functional make sure you click that red subscribe button so you don't miss another video [Music] she's got the style that makes you think she's made out of gold she said she likes it better when we go offroad [Music] all i can say is this refrigerator is disastrous this is not your typical reorganized video you guys are following me organizing spaces that have never been organized and maintained and here is disaster number one i am a little embarrassed to share this but this is real life and welcome to my channel if you're new to my channel my name is michelle and i'm a busy mom of two toddlers and i'm here to provide you cleaning and organizing motivation ideas and tips if you have to live in your space why not love it this video is going to give you ideas and motivation to organize your refrigerator and freezer and i'll also show you what it looks like organized without the storage containers because i've managed to go my whole life without using them up until now and also what it looks like with them make sure you are subscribed to my channel if you enjoy this video and let's go the first and most obvious tip is to take everything out because this is your refrigerator start with one section at a time so everything that was in the main area i took out and now i'm just sorting and going through everything that i'm throwing away so anything that is expired or i haven't used in a long time is almost empty or bad i'm just sorting through everything and throwing it away take it to my heart next i'm taking out all the trays and i'm actually washing them in the sink opposed to wiping them down because they were pretty dirty and there are ring marks around the glass i'm just cleaning everything as much as possible [Music] i won't make it easy [Music] next i'm going to start working on the drawers by taking everything out and cleaning those as well one thing you may have noticed is that i actually have a side-by-side refrigerator and it's also counter depth that just worked with the space that we had because of where the refrigerator is located kind of in a hallway area we had to go smaller most of the videos i see are with the french door refrigerators but you can use this as motivation regardless of what kind of refrigerator you have next i'm just cleaning out the actual refrigerator portion of it it's not as bad as i thought but there is still some crumbs down there that need to be picked up once i have everything cleaned and dried then i can start putting those items back [Music] [Applause] this is what my refrigerator looks like without the storage containers and all of the bad items thrown away even if you choose not to use containers then i still recommend creating zones and categorizing where you want stuff to go this side door feels like it is consumed by a hundred million condiments that we probably don't even use most of the time so i'm going to empty everything out find all of the items that we use and throw away a lot of stuff these side shelves also need a good cleaning you may also notice this door it's actually called a showcase door where you can open the just the door part and grab something off of one of the shelves of the door without actually having to open up the refrigerator it's actually a cool feature on this refrigerator and the refrigerator is called the samsung showcase side by side counter depth anyways i ended up removing everything off of the door i categorized it and then i put it back in its appropriate place and if you remember before everything was all jam-packed in there and now i have a space for each condiment [Music] next is the freezer this is just as bad maybe even a little bit worse than the refrigerator side because as you can see i don't think i can find anything in here [Music] if you already have some of your items categories together meaning whatever you want on your top shelf already on your top shelf then i would recommend just doing one shelf at a time when i took everything out and i did that because there was no organizational strategy to my freezer whatsoever and i needed to go through and re-categorize but when i took everything out and washed everything it took a little longer than expected and some of my stuff already started melting [Music] uh [Music] it's like you almost know what i am thinking cause i believe in us i won't give up on you i will be [Music] now i'm going to start grouping and putting the like food groups together you can either go like food groups or i actually went breakfast areas i'm going to put on my top shelf lunch ish dinnerish areas i'm going to put on my bottom two shelves [Music] one thing as you may already know that is a humongous space saver is taking things out of their boxes the benefit of putting them in clear containers is because you can see how much of something you have i hate having that whole box of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when there's only one sandwich left it just takes up so much space and i don't even know that i only have a small amount left all of the foods on the top shelf are for breakfast foods all of this stuff in the middle shelf is for lunch type foods and on the lower shelf is for dinner type foods i do have some ice cream up there on the second shelf that's up higher so that my kids don't grab it and try and open it next i'm going through all of the frozen vegetables you see some of these items have bad freezer burn some of them are expired and have been expired for over a year i just need to get rid of all of that stuff [Music] [Music] another thing i wanted to point out is that we have an additional refrigerator in our garage and that is where we store a lot of the meats and drinks so if i didn't have that additional garage then probably i would dedicate one of these shelves specifically to frozen meats [Music] now i just have so much more space in our freezer and it looks a thousand times better when picking storage containers i picked three main products that i got on amazon this is specifically for fruits and vegetables so if you typically have your grapes or strawberries and you take them out of the plastic bin and you like to put them in containers i found this one is specific for that purpose only it comes with three containers which i thought was the perfect size because most of the time you only have say three or four different types of fruits in your refrigerator at a time so it comes with two small and one large and is a great size for anything that you're storing and i think it just looked a lot nicer than regular tupperware containers this is a six-piece refrigerator organizer set that i got from amazon i didn't want to spend a lot of money so it was actually a really good price it came with one tray to hold your eggs this actually holds 14 eggs which i didn't even realize until i was putting them in the container and it comes with four 14 and a half by seven containers it's always good to measure your space to make sure that you have enough room for whatever size containers you're purchasing now the ones on the right are the eye design containers i got these at walmart and they are a little bit pricier they're probably around eight dollars each and they're a little bit smaller so those are around 11 by five and a half the eye design containers on the right actually fit in my drawers whereas the ones on the left that i got from amazon fit on my shelves and the last product i got were these shelf sheets or shelf protectors just as in their name they helped protect the shelf and you can easily remove them and clean them or throw them away and replace them if you need to never [Music] here i'm just assessing the space and seeing where i want the containers to go before i actually fill them [Music] in up it seems like nothing makes it better you should try to remember that's just how it is when it comes to love comes to love cause you know sometimes [Music] that's just love that's just no matter what you think you'll never [Music] lowest shelf is going to contain all of my fruits my top shelf is going to contain my drinks milk and eggs the bottom shelf i actually also used to store more condiments and these are because they are too tall to fit on the door one thing you'll notice in the middle shelf is that i left a space open to contain my leftovers most people don't show that they have leftovers but it is common for our house to have leftovers so that's why i wanted to make a space for that area all of my meats and cheeses i stored into separate containers in the same drawer and then i have a separate drawer for vegetables the very bottom shelf is kind of a miscellaneous spot for kid foods [Music] and here is the finished refrigerator it is just a very real life functional refrigerator it's not jam-packed stocked 24 7 so i'm just showing you what it typically looks like at our household also our condiments look so much more organized and categorized [Music] and here are some drastic before and after pictures cause i'm running with these emotions [Music] what are you trying to find i'm running with these emotions [Music] thank you all so much for watching i hope you enjoyed this video and it gave you some motivation to organize whether you decide to use or not to use the storage bins and make sure you give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel see you in my next by your video [Music]
