Pretty nice guide. I think the best piece of advice here that I don't remember seeing in other guides, is keeping similar classes of abilities in the same spots across different classes. Keeping your defensive and offensive cool downs bound to the same keys really helps when switching classes around to keep your muscle memory trained.
Nice guide.
Personally i find alt the easiest modifier. My thumb naturally rests in the gap between alt and space bar. I also use that gap to confirm that my hand is back in the right place without looking (if I've moved it away from wasd for some reason).
Shift is good too, but not as easy as alt.
Ctrl feels terrible for me and i never use it. It's so far away from where my fingers rest, they have to curl up way under my palm to reach it.
I would suggest just using whatever is easier for you.
Nice guide, clearly explained. There are some things I don't aggre with/use but still something I could share with someone that doesn't do keybinds
I didn't realize how much I used Q and E for movement until I tried rebinding it. I couldn't get over it...
I just use that one mouse with 12 buttons arranged like a telephone on the side. Never went back to whatever nubs use.
I've been playing wow since 2009 and I still have no idea of how do people press shift-something. It feels like my pinky is gonna break if I do that. Alt-smth is cool though, it's as easy as pressing space to jump.

I've used one since vanilla. And for every MMO I play. Extremely worthwhile investment.
Basically.... Your keybind setup pretty much mimics these gamepads perfectly. Only big benefit is that you have a d-pad on your thumb. Which I bind 1 2 3 4 to so you can use those while moving. 39 total keybinds, if I keep qweasd for movement
I use a Logitech G13 game pad, and have for 10 years, I have trouble playing otherwise, even had a friend who is far more experienced with computer repairs over haul it a few years back. I also use a 12 button mouse so I can have all my shift, control, alt keys for easy of access to modifiers. I haven't used 'WASD' movement in so long that trying to find a replacement for the G13 is impossible because it has a directional thumb toggle and most other game pads don't
If youβre thinking about making a drastic change to key binds like I am after watching this, I think shawdowlands is a good opportunity. Youβre going to get new abilities and you have low consequence content to practice all of it on with leveling.
