[Music] so [Music] you [Music] good yeah you are you know what so is god god's good too praise the lord ah welcome to our miracle service we are i i have such anticipation in my heart i feel like i'm on the inside praise god i'm so excited what he's going to do um i do have to share a few announcements with you before we get on into it so can you listen in you know take out your phone or your calendar or whatever you use to record what you're going to be up to you know your calendar and put down some of these dates here um first of all um we have a men's breakfast in the house tomorrow so it's going to be amazing they're going to be talking about what it is to be linked into family and there's such a vision for the men's ministry to be encouraging and raising one another up and just what it means to be a strong man in the lord and to and to walk with jesus as a man of god so if you're a man and you you haven't got plans for tomorrow morning i encourage you to come along to the men's breakfast it's just a five dollar registration you can talk to pastor dylan or register online and it's going to be a really encouraging and edifying time so get on board with that and not to leave the women out we have a one day women's conference yeah where are all the women [Music] uh one day women's conference um with anita alexander and of course pastor catherine and pastor beck damianopoulos on saturday the 2nd of october it's going to be right here at church there's going to be gifts and surprises i mean we always declare it so make sense prophetic booths poured out cafe lunch and morning tea so please understand to fully prepare things and make our day wonderful for you the registrations will close by the 29th of september so you have a week to get that in but you do need to get your registration in before the day we have a first responders team are an amazing team that look after our new believers and so when somebody gives their heart to the lord in community or in a service they will be the people that are on the ground following up with them and helping them to understand their walk with the lord and this new journey that they've embarked on but you know it takes people to do that it takes willing mature christians to be part of that and so what we're looking for is people who will be part of our first responders team particularly on a friday night to help us with these people who have you know given their hearts to the lord so if that's something that you would like to know more about be interested in i please encourage you to speak to mandy woodhouse she's on the front row here she's amazing yeah give her a clap and yeah first responders team and last but not least on sunday september 26th so i think that's next weekend um we're having our special heart for the house offering and this is a really special time uh in our uh calendar as glory city church we're going to be bringing an offering to the lord and and um just also hearing about some of the things and celebrating some of the things that he's done in our midst and what he plans to do it's going to be a real family affair we've got baptisms happening we have a family dinner happening and so it's going to be a real heart of worship and celebration honoring the lord as we bring in that offering so please mark that in your calendar don't miss it and also just prepare in your heart um how the lord would have you contribute to that um so that's about all the announcements so i might get you to stand up is that all right gee i'm loud is that okay praise the lord we actually have people tuning in from all over the world to worship with us and be part of our miracle service tonight um we hear about the miracles that happen in the house as we as we come and we pray for the sick and we believe together but there is so much that actually happens around the world as people um share that gather and um lean in with faith and we're hearing about those miracles even through the live stream and different different avenues like that so that's super exciting to be part of something that's way bigger than just this room amen amen um so who's ready to worship i am we are going to set our eyes on the king of kings the lord of lords um i've been doing a study through matthew and was reading matthew 8 and 9 this week and it's just miracle after miracle of jesus going around and and laying hands on the sick i'm gonna read a few t just because sometimes it's good to remind ourselves that we didn't convince god to heal people that it was his idea like jesus self-disclosed that he is into healing you know it was his idea and we just believe it so let's hear some of the things that jesus has done and continues to do ah praise the lord he heals the paralytic he restores a girl to life he heals the woman with the issue of blood he heals two blind men so that they see he heals the mute he casts out demons wow yeah he's a healer he's a miracle-working god jesus let's begin to um lift up our voices lift up a sound to pray out in tongues thank you lord shayke and jesus went throughout all the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction every disease and every affliction is his idea let's raise our hands i just feel the presence of the lord just so smiling and smiling on us gathering for this tonight hallelujah yeah let's set our heart and our eyes on things above where christ is thank you jesus yes thank you lord you are abundant the enemy would try to keep us down with feelings with fear but god would say you are seated in heavenly places high above principalities and powers high above rulers of darkness and even as you stand taking up the shield of faith the sword of the spirit and even as you take the shield and face it at the enemy using the light of christ the enemy will be defeated declaring with your mouth that you are the overcomer [Music] and i declare now that we go forward and we take land there is more land more land to take and god would say even as i've done it before i will do it again even as he parted the waters at the red sea he will do it again and father i declare now that all fear goes all death goes we declare life the life of christ comes born [Music] and overtakes us [Music] thank you jesus [Music] hallelujah there's such a strong um sense of healing in this place tonight it's incredible uh in worship uh the lord showed me a showed me a uh [Music] a little chapter from my childhood when i was a kid i lived in england and across the road from my house was the new forest lots of deer and badgers and horses and cows have a lot of ghosts that's only about yay high making tracks and sometimes on the weekend or holidays i'd go out with my friends and we'd go wandering around in this knee-high course and go down the main track you know sometimes something would catch your eye and you think i'll just go down this track and i can still see my friends i'm wandering around my own little track i can see them and i can hear them but i'm not on the same track [Music] in in psalm 16 it says the lord will show you the right path the path of life and so i'm speaking to people here and online sometimes you'll find yourself on your own path it's not the path of life it might look like it but it isn't and don't be fooled just because you might be able to see your friends and hear them they're on a different path you know what you do when you find yourself straying onto the wrong path you have to turn around you have to do a 180 you have to repent [Music] and get yourself back onto the main path and get yourself back into your group into your circle of friends into your family whether that's church family or whatever you have a purpose to fulfill in that family so don't go down your own track get back it's not a warning it's an encouragement because if you find yourself on the wrong track it's very hard to get over the course and the thorns i might get bitten by an adder there were adders snakes it's not worth it turn get back on track get back into your family group get back into your group where you belong and also during um during worship the lord handed me many absolutely perfect spinal nerves there are all sorts of different shapes and sizes of spinal nerves all perfect they had all come straight from heaven and i have them with me now and if you are online and you have spinal nerve damage and you have faith you can reach out and take these the lord is offering them to you you can take them and be healed in jesus name so good thank you father we say yes lord i've had this word just for a couple of weeks and it comes from habakkuk chapter two and he talks about standing on the watch and waiting to see what the lord says to him and then it says write down the revelation and i felt like the holy spirit plucked out that particular scripture there and said god is going to give downloads on the run because the messenger is going to receive the revelation it's going to be written down and made plain it's going to be simple it's not complicated but it'll need someone who can just grab that and run with it but i felt like as a day of acceleration because of speeding up there's a speeding up we have to be on the wall watching and looking for what the holy spirit is saying to us receive it simply but then there's going to be a time of acceleration where we won't have time to be on the wall there's going to be a need to catch it on the run and and i believe that it's going to bring fresh things insights understanding that all of us are going to be running in the same direction all of us are going to be on the same track so all of us are going to be in that place where together i said we'll be saying to one another i i got this thing i got this from the lord and the other one will say yeah i got that too and there'll be more and more and there'll be added pieces all the way along as the body of christ works works together runs together and in the same direction but i really feel that's that word came out that said downloads on the run downloads on the run that means we're going to speed up we're going to be running we're going to be ex that's a sense of excitement that's a sense of enthusiasm that's a sense of wow we're on the run we're on the run thank you jesus this morning i was reading from the book of mark and um in mark chapter 2 verses 1 to 5. i'm going to read that to you it says a few days later when jesus again entered capernaum the people heard that he had come home they gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left not even outside the door and he preached the word to them some men came bringing a paralyzed man carried on by the four of them since they could not get him into jesus because of the crowd they made an opening in the roof above jesus and digging through it they lowered the mat and the met where on the man was lying on when jesus saw their faith he said to the paralyzed man son your sins are forgiven and as i read that first of all i thought this is very apt passage to be reading today when we have a miracle service and i really i thought about that and i prayed about that that scripture and thinking those men those poor men brought their friends to be here their friend to be healed they couldn't get in they were expectant that their friend was going to get healed so it says that they pulled the roof apart and let them down they must have come with ropes because they didn't chuck him down there he doesn't say he threw the man down and jesus healed him it says they lowered him and i really felt the lord saying that tonight there were some people here who might have wanted to or invited some friends who didn't come who needed a miracle whether it be a healing or a financial blessing some form of milk and they didn't come and i felt the lord saying you don't need to dig a hole in the ceiling and lower your friend down but lift them up lift them up to him and he will he will answer the miracle he will touch their heart and on my way here tonight just as i was coming past the stadium i had some music going and suddenly music went off and i tapped my my radio you know my stereo in the car and suddenly another a song came on a million little miracles and he said too many miracles to count and i thought what about a confirmation is that right on our doorstep amen amen i think god's really speaking tonight um i had to wait on sunday but i just felt as appropriate for tonight and in my prayer time god reminded me of the story of david when he carried the ark into the house of obed eden the guitar he wasn't even a jew he stayed there for three months and the lord blessed him and his entire family they didn't do anything they didn't do any works it was simply because god was there and the presence of the ark was there and then he reminded me of a scripture in john 15 when he said abide in me and i will abide in you and if you abide in me my words will abide in you and i just felt like god said that i no longer i'm no con no longer confined to that ark i do not live in that box anymore i abide in you i abide in the ecclesia i about in the church and how much more will i will my presence bring um gifts and miracles and honor to you but it doesn't end there it says that you carry you're the carriers of the presence of god and wherever you go to your workplace your home or anything you shift atmospheres and it's without works it's completely natural and god says that if you abide in me i will abide in you and wherever you go you will shift atmospheres and it's not what works orientation it is completely natural just abide in me thank you [Music] praise the lord come on [Music] thank you lord hallelujah hallelujah [Music] in the book of john it says the law came by moses but grace and truth came by jesus christ and in a scripture that's already come forward tonight john 8 31-32 it says if you continue in my word you are my disciples indeed and then you'll know the truth and the truth that you know will set you free we have to know the truth about prosperity we have to know the truth about healing there's so many truths and if we know those truths we will be set free there's a scripture in james that says a double-sided man is unstable in all his ways let not that man expect to receive anything from god he's like the waves tossed to and fro but you know what god is saying i am not the one that holds i have given you all things that pertain to life and godliness let tonight be your night let tonight be the day of your salvation don't let the enemy steal what i have given to you for today is your day of salvation be healed be made whole hallelujah hallelujah praise the lord you know we have people watching right now all over the world we have people who've gotten up at 2 a.m 4 00 am my brother and his fiance have just written to me just as i was leaving and and they have a friend um her name is hugh i'll get this right [Music] hallelujah here we are i'm going to get this right hey and she has a little baby um the baby's name is mint and has a very serious situation um in the hospital has been in extreme pain for three weeks this newborn and the doctors can't do anything about the condition it's a i'll read you the condition if you um would make any sense to you it means it's a crossed extensor spasm and it's without god's intervention without a miracle there is there isn't a medical solution for this child and um they're watching right now in the hospital hallelujah and um and we're going to pray but before we pray i i was just feeling tonight i wanted to take a couple of minutes just to have a few people who have seen genuine miracles in their lives and i i mean we there are so many people give me a wave if you've had a healing or a miracle in your life there's just so many people all across this room there's people here who've had such significant miracles but i just want to ask uh one or two or three who've had major miracles medical impossibilities where the lord has done a major miracle it's supernatural what he's done i i'll ask okay you come on up and who else have we got in the house that could say yes it's not wasn't just a healing where i got better it was god did something the doctors couldn't possibly do if that's you just come up we want to hear just in like 90 seconds just a quick shot sharp and shiny but we want to give testament to what the lord can do come on k it's going to encourage people to say come on up yes hooray well god gave me hearing in an ear that has no hearing bones and i'm still amazed i'm still amazed but i always have this little voice that says oh you're kidding you know it's not real but i hear in it i hear in it and i know god is good and god is faithful oh yeah completely deaf i have no hearing bones in my right ear at all [Music] ongoing ear problems from the age of three and hearing bones had to be removed because they had all just rotted and had no eardrum for years until i finally got an eardrum or about 15 years ago and but no hearing back then until god gave me hearing right here yes he set me free and opened it opened up my hearing in that ear yes what god did for me he can do for anybody yes it's so wonderful hallelujah alex come on up thank you jesus praise the lord um yeah 2017 i had a stroke and um i went completely blind i couldn't talk i didn't know didn't know my name didn't know anything and um my friend from maji rang me up and to me was just someone talking out of a little box that he didn't even know what a phone was and we're chatting for about five or ten minutes and um i could kind of start you know say a few words here and there and i said look um i don't know who you are but you sound really trustworthy and you i could get a really good sense about this guy and he said alec i'm sick of talking to you now he goes i'm going to talk to your spirit man instead and he said you know you go in the street you pray for people you see amazing miracles he goes in jesus name come back right now and within five minutes my memory came back my sight came back everything praise god praise god nothing is impossible for those who believe and we've been seeing god do some significant miracles for um for little ones for little children recently we've had um i've just had the opportunity to come back from the us where i was ministering we saw so many so many people saved so many people healed but some some beautiful significant major notable miracles in little children i i was in oklahoma city and um god was doing powerful things deaf ears were opening incredible miracles there was actually one lady there she had a a tumor in her belly the size of her fist and she'd had a procedure that that was still open that the mass was still there and after prayer the mass disappeared the incision closed up and completely diff disappeared so there wasn't even a scar left instantly and i mean such amazing miracles but a week later we got a beautiful testimony sent in from some parents who had stopped stopped me on the way out of a meeting and asked for prayer for their three-year-old he was a little boy autistic non-verbal only had could speak a few words but never had put words together strung words together in any form of sentence and significant problems had problems um eating solid food had never sung or anything like that of course and um so we just laid hands on on him as as walked out the building to get a a letter a week later to say that the next morning he was up speaking in sentences singing and eating solid food hallelujah nothing is impossible and then uh we were in arizona and the last meeting i did before we left with patricia king patricia wasn't there that day but she was watching online and um i i had a word of knowledge for someone that had an obstruction behind their eye that was affecting their vision and one of the moms in the room said that's my daughter she's a three-year-old who has a tumor on her optic nerve and has lost all the sight to her eye she's completely blinded and i can i go and get her from sunday school and so she went out to get the little baby baby came in we prayed for her a little three-year-old not a baby but three-year-old and her sight was instantly restored hallelujah it's so beautiful so nothing is impossible so i want you to reach out your hands with me we're going to pray mince this this little baby newborn girl and you know we can we can have compassion we can go oh that's terrible but i tell you i'm just texting right now with andrew as we're as we're getting ready to pray and i i hope this is all right andrew i'm just sharing um mum mum's mum is also watching in the hospital she's with the baby and she asked can god heal a baby even if her family isn't christian and andrew told her that god loves everyone and it doesn't matter about race or religion or age and you know i really believe the holy spirit wants to touch this baby as a demonstration of his great love for them so would you reach out your hands i want you to right now stretch out in faith you know the bible tells us whenever two on earth agree about anything according to his will it's done hallelujah so we're going to lift up little mint right now and in the name of jesus christ father i thank you for this baby father in jesus name lord we release supernatural peace healing to your body in the name of jesus be healed let the spirit of god touch you now in jesus name we rebuke that disease we rebuke that condition we say leave that body in the name of jesus and i speak peace healing to those nerves healing to the body healing in jesus name to men meant be healed now peace come upon you be healed in the name of jesus christ and father we lift up the family lord that they would know you are real that you are there that you care about them in the name of jesus christ i thank you meant receive the healing of jesus now in his precious and holy name father we say thank you for your touch you are the healer you are good god i thank you now lord for your touch i thank you father for your angels to minister right now in the name of jesus to that little one and i thank you jesus you are the one true god you are the healer and lord i thank you that the same yesterday today and forever meant be healed in jesus name and everybody said amen god bless you well if you want to just take a moment turn around say hello to somebody i'm going to jump uh straight in i believe the lord's given me a word and we want to pray for people tonight hallelujah that was a quick hello hallelujah praise ella joseph come and tell share this testimony praise god [Applause] uh yes i've seen a home group and um one of the um ladies in that group had to go and be in to a care facility um like a retirement or uh yeah somewhere where they need to take give her 24 hour care and um she had a fall in her room ended up that fall caused a break in her hip so she had uh hip surgery replacement and that and um yeah then she stopped eating she just didn't have any appetite and um you know she was losing weight and um yeah she was hardly he didn't even think of drinking anything and this was happening for weeks coming on maybe months and anyway her health deteriorated and she ended up in palliative care basically that they weren't didn't think they could do anything for her so um i was just waiting on god and just saying okay we've gone up to visit her some of the members of the group and i just waiting do you what do you want me to do lord you know what you just simply said uh lay your hands on her and i said okay anything else and no just just pray and lay your hands on her and um so i was up there we were visiting and towards the end i still hadn't i hadn't laid my hands on him but right at the end just before leaving i thought hang on god told me to lay my hands on her so that's what i did said quick prayer lay hands on her and then left um yeah that was years ago now i can't remember exactly how many years ago it is now but she's still here and she's uh yeah so and uh her appetite returned and everything like that so yeah it's it's not over until god says it's over oh god that's a good word hallelujah praise god well jane you gotta are you gonna come and just receive the offering tonight and then i'm gonna want to jump in i want to share with you what the lord's put on my heart give jane a hand as she comes we love you amen great testimonies i'm sure there's so many more in the room too my goodness uh okay let's um first of all oh sorry if you haven't been to glory city church before and you're you're new here tonight this is your first time visiting with us could you put your hand up for us yeah someone over here someone else yeah just how beautiful was it to spend that time in worship together yeah amen um okay we're going to receive our offering tonight and you know i i don't have a long thought to share with you but if you could just prepare yourselves to to bring that offering in and just the thought that you know what it's not we don't give to receive something from him or try and like earn anything it's it's to honor the lord in the scripture in in proverbs 3 it says uh proverbs 3 9 honor the lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce there's something about i'm bringing something to honor the lord and to give thanks to him because that's because we're his children and um we're we're from a new kingdom now right we're not from not in the old covenant we're in the new covenant and we're we're children of god and we bring things into to honor the lord so let's just do that and we'll pray for our offering tonight before we invite pastor catherine back up how about we pray uh oh yeah thank you father yeah father we just thank you so much thank you for all that you have provided for us thank you for all that you have freely given and lord freely as we've received now freely we give and so we thank you and we honor you with this offering tonight and we just thank you in advance what you're going to do in our midst with your presence tonight in healing in signs wonders and miracles thank you lord thank you for your presence and everyone said amen hallelujah could we stand and welcome pastor katherine as she brings the word amen [Applause] hallelujah father we're so thankful for your presence i'm so thankful that you lord are our ever-present help in time of need and lord tonight i just ask that you'd speak to our hearts that you'd encourage us and that you'd help us in your mighty and holy name everybody said amen praise the lord i am i was just uh are looking at this psalm this afternoon psalm 3 and after nick released that word i felt just i wanted to share this at the beginning here it says lord how are they increased who trouble me many are those who rise against me many are saying of me there's no help for him in god but you o lord are a shield for me my glory and the lifter of my head with my voice i cry to the lord and he hears and answers me out of his holy hill i lay down and slept i awakened again for the lord sustains me i will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves around about arise o lord save me o god for you have struck all my enemies on the cheek you have broken the teeth of the enemy salvation belongs to the lord may your blessing be upon your people hallelujah and you know i really believe that the holy spirit continually is looking to be our glory and the lifter of our head the one who helps us lift up our eyes to see him in the bible tells us that in his light we see light it's like ah things make sense and for a lot of people there's been there many people have been in a lot of pain and trauma and loss and discouragement i had a a day like that this week where i just felt a little bit down we i had a few people close to me that had passed away i'd had you know and and counseling others that had just been through significant trauma and i'm a feeler so i'm feeling all these things and and i talked to the lord and laid it out on him but the next day i just felt a little flat have you ever felt just a little flat and you know on those days the enemy doesn't say oh you know she's having a hard day let's leave her alone he just doesn't play flair in fact he takes advantage of your emotions he takes advantage of those times when you're just feeling a little bessette or a little bit oh and and you know in this world we have trouble but take heart he's overcome the world hallelujah but as i'm having my bit of a flat day um you know it's so funny you'd think if you're having a hard day that you'd run into the arms of the one that's you're the one who's able to strengthen you and encourage you but the enemy will come and he'll he'll just start to sow some lies and say well while you're feeling down why don't we beat up on you why don't you just beat up on yourself for a little while it's like nobody loves me everybody hates me think i'll go and eat worms like seriously why would you eat worms when you're feeling really bad but we buy the lie like yeah i'm feeling bad so now i'm going to beat up on myself and i found myself thinking to myself you know i'm probably my prayer life probably isn't as disciplined as some of the great men and women of god that were seeing amazing things and i'm not very disciplined at all in fact i'm sure if i was to compare myself to to some others i'm sure that they would do they'd be much more disciplined in their approach in their prayer and anybody ever had thoughts like this i mean not that i've ever actually been there to see what their prayer lives are like but you know you figure they're probably better than yours anyway probably more disciplined probably you know and as soon as you get into that track doesn't matter how much you do there's always somebody that's probably doing more and you could probably do better and before long you're like i'm i'm talking and i'm saying oh lord i'm sorry i'm not more disciplined i'm sorry oh god i could do better. and i'm not even looking at him when i'm talking to him you know the lord wants us to have relationship with him that's dynamic and real and living he has for us a living relationship where we can look to him who is our glory and the lifter of our head he says in hebrews 4 that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find help in time of need hallelujah and we approach his throne we can come before him in faith believing that he's good but when we're in the nobody loves me everybody hates me think i'll go and eat worms face we're not lifting up our eyes to look to him we're looking at we're like oh oh yeah oh yep beat up on myself a bit more oh you're terrible i bet you don't compare well i'm sure there's somebody that does a whole lot but i'm sure everybody does better than you and in that place i can only stay for so long before i go oh father and everything shifts right then as soon as i go father because when i lift up my head and i call on the father i know that my father is right there and he's listening and he's looking at me and he loves me and as soon as i say father help he's my ever-present help in time of need and he begins to speak truth and so uh this day i father and i heard the lord say have i asked you to compare yourself to anybody no and then he put a song in my heart reminded me of an old chorus i am your beloved your creation and you love me as i am you have called me chosen for your kingdom and ashamed to call me your own i am your beloved [Music] i'm singing this song and realizing yes that's what you're saying to me i am your beloved god i thank you that you and and in his light suddenly all the comparison all the condemnation all the go and eat worms rubbish just seems ridiculous because suddenly nothing else matters he's my glory and the lifter of my head let's have a little look at that scripture in hebrews chapter four if you've got your bible hebrews is just beautiful and this whole chapter is talking about entering the rest it's not about a one day sabbath rest it's about the rest that god is inviting us into when we receive jesus as the savior you see his heart for us is that we would rest from our works that we would give up with the notion that we could somehow do enough to be acceptable to god but instead humble ourselves repent and recognize i'm not called to impress god with my works i'm called to humble myself and receive what i can have no part in earning and to exercise faith in the reality that he is better than i feel like i deserve and from that place good works righteousness all those things discipline prayer all those good things they come as a result of entering into that rest by faith knowing i can't live up to any standard but god i come just as i am by faith believing your blood cleanses me from all unrighteousness and instead of holiness and and doing the things as a prerequisite to righteousness receiving righteousness by faith receiving forgiveness and salvation by faith enables those things to be manifest as fruits in our life he says come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and i will give you rest it's not a momentary cuddle you'll be right mate it's actually a state of being where you can enter by faith this place where you have peace with god romans 5 1 therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with god peace with god means you are no longer at war with him there's no animosity there's no anything between you there's no need for embarrassment or shame or fear or concern that he's remembering your sin or judging you as a hypocrite he said i didn't come into the world to condemn the world but that the world through me would be saved he came to give you life and life more abundant he came to give you hope he gave to give you mercy and forgiveness for sin he said your sin and your lawless deeds i will remember no more not like not i'll put it on pause and and we'll talk about it another time no i will never again mention or recall your past sins and that's peace that's rest i am your beloved your creation and you love me as i am you're not looking at me going yeah but you're not as good as this one you're not looking at me going yeah yay all right but i really you know this one is this one is impressing me much more you could try a lot harder he looks at you having faith in the reality that you have been forgiven by the blood of jesus that you've received jesus christ as the only one who can take away your sin your shame the only one who can give you new life a new heart and eternal life when you put your faith in him that is what pleases god faith pleases god so when you come before him feeling like a hypocrite oh god [Music] he's there looking for you to have faith in the truth that he doesn't see you that way he sees you as forgiven he sees you as holy he sees you and your faith believing that he has taken away your sin that he has come and made you clean made you whole and as you put your faith in that as you lift up your eyes to him and say father and believe you can approach him his pleasure is towards you his favor is toward you here it is in hebrews 4 16 hallelujah i'll read it to you in the new king james it says here seeing then that we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens jesus the son of god let us hold fast our confession for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace for help in time of need that we might have mer find mercy and grace to help in time of need we can therefore come boldly so when i lift up my eyes to him ah i can say our father the disciples couldn't figure it out with jesus he just didn't pray like they did they'd pray their ritualistic prayers they'd they'd pray the scriptures they'd talk and pray and do everything they knew to do but jesus somehow had this connection with the father that when he would pray he would be so strengthened and refreshed he would come back shining glowing that he would talk with him and hear back from him he would have two-way conversation he he really spoke with his father he didn't talk and say the things hoping that it would somehow get delivered to god he spoke right to him he spoke right to the father because praise the lord the father son and holy spirit they are one hallelujah but then this amazing thing happened when the disciples said to jesus teach us how to pray like that he said when you pray pray our father as in my father and your father this same connection you see me having you're now invited into that so when you say father it's just as if when i say father you see me go father i know that you hear me but for their sake like he said at lazarus's tomb he just spoke so it was just he was right there as soon as he opened his mouth father i know that you hear me but for their sake i say this he's talking right to him directly to him that connection the disciples saw jesus have with the father is what jesus said to them now you can have that too every time you open your mouth and say father you can boldly approach the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need that you don't have to go through a whole lot of steps you don't have to have made done really well and you don't have to achieve or or work to get it but simply humble yourself and connect but when we're beating up on ourselves when we're having one of those days where we're just listening to the lies and sometimes the lies can sound religiously good yeah yeah that's probably true i probably don't i'm probably not as disciplined as other people i'm probably oh but that's not the voice of the holy spirit he tells us that i want you to cease from your works that doesn't mean he wants you to live recklessly and out and not doing all the glorious things that he's called you to do but he wants you to let go of the idea that these things are a prerequisite to you being in fellowship with him and to to enter by faith into this place of rest where you rest from your works just as the father rested from his works on the sabbath on the seventh day after creating the earth he rested and it was a little taste of what we would be invited into this sabbath rest this glorious invitation to continually live in a place of being free from that treadmill that uh what do they call it those mouse things that they go round around a mouse mouse ball a treadmill tread wheel where you go round and round and round trying to get somewhere and get nowhere he wants you to cease from that and humble yourself and say thank you god i've not been called to comparison thank you god i've not been called to condemnation thank you lord i'm not being called to fear but i lift up my eyes to you i lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from my help comes from the lord the maker of heaven and earth hallelujah i don't have to look to other things i can lift up my eyes and say father and he's right there and he wants to speak to you he wants to remind you of the truth his spirit will remind you of the truth and you'll begin to remember thank you lord oh thank you that there's no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus thank you god that it's not by works that i was saved but by grace i'm saved through faith not of works lest anyone should boast thank you father that jesus took away my sin my shame and the very stain of everything i've ever done thank you lord that i am the righteousness of god in christ thank you lord that i'm the redeemed of the lord thank you lord that i have peace thank you lord that i have freedom and forgiveness thank you for mercy and grace thank you lord jesus that you'll never remember my sins anymore thank you father i can boldly come before the throne of grace because you are good you are faithful you forgive me thank you lord that your spirit lives on the inside of me it's i reckon myself dead today indeed to sin and alive to god in christ because when jesus came the father the son the holy spirit god came he came as a man to the earth knowing that you and i could never get ourselves to the place where we would be fit for heaven god is holy and no one can make themselves holy enough to be joined to him but the father's heart was that you would be one family with him and so he came he walked on the earth as a man was tempted with all the things that we're tempted with but he never sinned and then he was punished crucified he died he went into hell and he rose again so that you and i would be made free from the penalty the punishment of sin he took it on himself and not only that he made a way for us to become new creations that if we acknowledge that jesus christ is the lord and savior that he is the son of god and we come to him and humble ourselves and say lord i need forgiveness the bible says everyone's sinned and fallen short of the glory of god but if we'll humble ourselves and say sorry father have mercy on me forgive me for all of my sins i believe jesus christ took them on himself paid the price for me and right now i receive the free gift of mercy i receive the gift of forgiveness the gift of grace i receive jesus christ as my lord and savior and the bible says that he will come and make you knew on the inside that you and he would be joined that he would come and live on the inside of you and that you would have in your heart a new heart not a heart of stone but a new heart that he would make you brand new take away everything about you that was crooked and give you hope and a future give you eternal life so that when you step from this life into the next you step into eternal life with him free from shame and he tells us that we can have boldness on the day of judgment because as he is so are we in this world having received jesus as savior we receive jesus we receive him his nature his qualification it's it's called the good news because it's so good there's no other word to describe it it's not the conditional news it's the good news this is beyond my capacity to humanly comprehend yet the holy spirit comes to give us faith to believe what our minds can't comprehend that jesus christ came he loved me so much that he died for me he rose again and that right now i can get free i can be free from sin free from fear i can come into a place of knowing he is my god that as i open my mouth to say father he will hear me he will receive me and that i will be saved in the name of the lord jesus hallelujah this is the good news of the gospel and it's what gives us confidence that he will do the things that he did when he walked the earth the bible says the same works that i did and greater works will they do now sometimes we get the idea well if i could somehow do enough maybe i could be used by god to see some of the miracles that jesus did but that in itself is a trap and a lie if we could do that then we could take some of the glory for it but if we will simply humble ourselves like little children and receive what we can have no part in earning and then by faith step into this place of peace where i am joined to god it's no longer me who lives where i remind myself it's no longer me who lives but christ who lives in me then as i reach out my hand to lay hands on the sick i no longer have to have confidence in the flesh that i can do it or i've done enough but i have confidence that thank god i've entered the rest where it's no longer me who lives but christ who lives in me and he who is the same yesterday today and forever will do what he said he will do hallelujah and as a result we have been seeing god do extraordinary things exceedingly abundantly above and it's just the beginning you see i believe the holy spirit wants to make the name of the lord glorious he wants us to set let the name of the lord be made glorious all over the earth it's why we do what we do with the television it's why we uh why we why i travel it's why we get this out all over the world every week because as we lift up the name of jesus as we testify to his miraculous power and what he does jesus is lifted up and he said if i be lifted up i will draw all men unto myself he wants us talking about him he wants us celebrating him hallelujah he wants us um talking boldly and confidently about the reality that hey this is what he's done for me nobody can argue with your testimony you know when you get up here okay and you tell them well yeah i i've been deaf since i was three and now i'm here who's going to argue with that when when someone has no sight in their eye and their eye gets opened god gets the glory when the lame walk god gets the glory when you're you've been diagnosed as terminally ill and god heals you god gets the glory and people have to go oh there is a god you see he is he is all together wonderful and a lot of people go oh you know it's all a bit too hard because sometimes we've seen people that didn't get healed and we can we can lay aside the whole healing thing thinking well we'll just talk about the goodness of god and oh we could talk about the goodness of god forever he is so wonderful but his goodness is manifested when he touches and he heals broken bodies he told us not to preach the word with debt with persuasive words of men's wisdom but with demonstrations of the spirit's power when you see a life transformed when you see someone change because of jesus when you see someone that has had a terminal illness healed and their lives lit up with joy i tell you jesus gets the glory the number of families i've seen saved because someone in their family received a miracle is just amazing i remember um in the uk a lady came i i was praying for people and a lady came out who had a deaf ear and god instantly popped her ear open well the next day the next night at the next meeting her whole family were there and they had taken turns all day long just whispering in mum's ear really does work oh wow she really i'm gonna come and then that night her whole family gave their hearts to jesus hallelujah praise the lord now the lady one of the first miracles i saw who had a pancreatic tumor wrapped a six inch tumor wrapped around her pancreas um the lord touched her gloriously instantly healed her and then as a result her husband came and gave his life to jesus because i tell you god's ways are better than our ways his ways are higher than our ways amen hallelujah we're going to pray for some people in just a minute but before i do that i want to give you an opportunity if you're watching online or if you're here in the in the building and you know in your heart you don't have that connection with the father god's looking for us to actually respond to him in faith and say lord i need i need forgiveness for my sin i believe jesus is the son of god and as you believe in the lord jesus christ and you confess with your mouth that he is lord the bible says you will be saved and the heart of the father is that no one would perish but that everyone would have eternal life but it requires us to make a choice because true love is free he doesn't force us into relationship but he longs for us to have relationship with him and he longs for us to have eternal life free from pain free from guilt free from shame eternal life with him in heaven hallelujah and but the bible also tells us that no man can come to the father but by jesus he came he made the way there is no other way to salvation but by him he said i am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by me but praise god it's not this big difficult thing to do all we have to do is say lord have mercy on me i believe jesus is the son of god that he came and he died in my place that he rose again father forgive me for all of my sin come into my life make me new on the inside i receive you as my savior and lord give me power to be a new creation to live for you in jesus name and as you do that the bible promises he will forgive your sin he will come into your life and make you new on the inside hallelujah but it requires that deliberate decision that deliberate choice to say i want that you see i could be a very bitter woman i could i could be angry and and i could easily go down tracks of self-pity all the things that have happened and didn't happen and did happen when i was a child and all the things that have gone on and and it's a miserable way to live but with jesus in my life as i look up to him as i can say father every day he fills me with a peace and a joy and a strength and a hope that nobody could give me he gives me love like nobody could give because he is supernatural sovereign he is god and i was made to be in relationship with him and so were you so if you're here tonight and you know in your heart you want to give your life to christ and receive jesus as your savior he wants to join you to him he wants you to have eternal life he wants you to be saved so if that's you if you're watching online i want you just to say yes i want to receive jesus as my savior i receive jesus as savior just write it in the comments and we'll be praying for you i'm going to go after this service i'm going to go back over those comments and i'm going to be praying for you and that's your declaration your way of saying yes i received jesus as savior and if you're here in the room tonight and you say i need that i need god to be my savior as you make that decision the bible says all of heaven rejoices if that's you and you know in your heart you need to get your life right with god you want to receive jesus as savior you want to be saved tonight just been an uh a problem in that that area perhaps it was the anemia thing but i i just see god i know i do believe there's an act there's a disease a blood disease that god wants to touch and heal who's that person i want to pray for you is there someone here you've got some form of blood disease i'd like to pray for you if not i'm going to pray for those those ones watching online we've seen god heal we've got testimonies of people who came i had a word of knowledge about a blood disease one day here at glory city and a man who'd been fought for prayer many many times at many many places who
