Just Add Water!

hahahaha [Music] you're probably wondering what's this all about well it's the cost of mopping up water of course and I wanted to show some of my water toys but they're not obviously water I mean where's the water with this fat mistake it's a spider on a green stick with an orange end both sides but turn it upside down on something extraordinarily happens it climbs up the stick or you can expect it to go down under Gravity but to go up how could that be isn't that the Zone it turns around until it's going up which is a bit even more bizarre it just gets to the top and it stops and it shouldn't do that because some that's not what things do and this is what involved somewhere oh well yes there's somewhere of course it's in this tick itself so I'll do it this way take the top off take the spider off inside the stick is a plug if I take a bit of time and push that plug up it's quite a stiff little poke and it's got a hold of water in so that's why it's a bit stiff but it's almost also available and now what I'm going to do is empty the water so I'll bring the tray across with lots of other toys to show you and this one here where I'm going to put the hand there to stop it losing it stuck you're going to come down no it's got to stop there oh dear never mind there's a little silk there with a magnet in it and a little bit of very very light plastic material it's floating upwards because it's so buoyant and the magnet is catching on the spider's magnet right here it's going to put two things to put together it climbs upwards not downwards clever because you don't see it as a horse and some of these are equally clever so here's another one for instance which is um it's called a sucky cup and you go very close to it look inside there's nothing to see there and I've got three others but I'm going to show you the one but I have got three we reckon this was the best image so I'll put these other ones aside but they do the same thing what is actually in there is a marble which is hiding an image and if I pour some water in it it covers the marble and makes the item visible it actually has a kind of counter lens so that marble which is making it either the light diverge has now been brought together into Focus so you see a rather try me little little red ladybird with spots on it but if I empty it I empties into a cup it will disappear again just I like that Danish and then you can't see it again it's not extraordinary so Charming idea is very very nice and this is why I need my closet it's a water up now there's a Charming whistling toy here which is much much better when it's got water in it it's a bird it's got a bit of water in it so I empty it like this if I flow on here it's it's all part of the same cup that's actually been it's been fired in the Kiln with it on it and it goes however there's a hole just down here and when I fill it with water so it covers the hole I'll try not to spill it too much and it's going to go up up oh I mean it's just a bit too much now I'm going to tip a bit that lovely lovely water lots and lots of this here we go now this is a much better sound oh that's beautiful very very wobbly liquidy sounds of a bird take the water out and it's back to boring so these are toys where three words just add water and all the fun starts from there oh my goodness this is the most sophisticated of the items this is extraordinary I better keep one I'm going to do on the table it's a German product they've got a strange geometry to them because they've got a very thick wall here they're very thin wall there and when they sit on the table they just roll all over the place and there's no way they can stay upright however the instructions will be quite clear that if you fill it with water exactly up to the broom which I'm now going to do it gets exactly in the right position you get to see Central gravity right in the middle of the bottle where it's resting on the surface and that stays completely upright I'll put it in there just in case it's going to spill a bit oh I could do a little bit more up to the top up to the very top and almost brimming over and now let's see if we can get that to stay upright just about I think the tray itself is a bit leaning actually let's try one more time I'll leave it on the table probably so it's spilling over oh that's better yeah it's practically upright when you compare it with this one here which is leaning all over the place that is nearer I think it's the surface of the tech of the trailer does it but anyway you've got the idea is by putting water in there it makes it it makes it symmetrical is that about the center of the of the base there and make sure that it pays as a level piece of work so now there's an extraordinary balloon toy I'm going to show you these balloons are made in Japan they're like water balloons you know the ones that you sweat people water bombs but they actually made a very very thick plastic so there's all the elastic rather so they won't work like that they they take a lot of effort to glow up because the special device is blows up the end result is what I think it's strawberry they call them Japanese yo-yos so this one has been filled with water and a special device to do it and they provide you with a string and they call it a yo-yo and it makes a nice little bounce bounce bounce noise it's one of these balloons blown up and it bounces nicely quite a bit of fun too putting some air into it you can easily do it with the squeezer so this one here I've blown this up a bit quite a bit bigger but the same amount of water roughly they just got oh about a third of water at about two-thirds air and it makes a lovely suck noise bizarre sound isn't it a Japanese yo-yo but it makes quite a noise whereas this one here is a much purer sound when it doesn't make any noise at all worth it Just Add Water just Add Water I've also got in my collection a large number of squirty scenes which catches you out so um would you believe this is one such thing it's a game of what they call craps the thing that's something at them where you juggle these and use throw the dice within this thing here so I'm going to instantly try and make it operator we are crap pictures are and turn it like that to yourself and turn and turn it like that oh yes there's a little jet of water comes out of the base there look what a naughty thing to do anyway I was prepared for it so there's quite a number of these what I call just add water toys to look at and these are just the first three and I'm gonna have great fun digging them through looking through them and um giving myself a few skirts at the same time just as well what the top isn't it so I think of toys that just add water and see what you get a lot of fun [Music]
