bias right saw a post on Twitter that said name an anime main character that has suffered more than Yugi and it kind of made me mad cuz I was like Yi really yui life been okay actually other Thani life been pretty fine bro so I don't know how many examples y'all got but I actually got a few examples of [ __ ] that have lived at or worse like than Yugi I don't have necessarily main characters but I have characters it could be main characters or characters so whatever whatever youall want if it's a main character extra points I guess but yeah so we can do round robin I can go Ellis Caleb and just circle that [ __ ] around bet all right Co so first one I got Sanji from one piece when you really really look at that man's backstory and everything that man's went to how his family just sheltered him and locked him away and everybody was like you ain't [ __ ] Bro locked him with the little CH mask on his face bro didn't give him food he was like Dad help me dad was like [ __ ] you [ __ ] n [ __ ] you bro you yeah bro you really have to think like sanji's backstory is actually wild and even as an adult sanji's like going through stuff with his family and stuff trying to figure out like oh does my family really [ __ ] with me and stuff like that like it doesn't just end at his childhood it progressively goes on as he's an the do and it obviously comes to a head in you know o Island and big mom and Vince smoke Saga and everything like that it obviously comes to a head there but as far as characters that have suffered more than Yuji Sanji is easily definitely he has to be on the list that's my first one that art that cake Island art that was like it's got one piece got a lot of like sad moments yeah but Sanji that was I opening bro sanj was like that was emotional I was like damn when I think his dad like told him like leave but like don't say you kid bro he was ex I don't ever want to have yeah don't you ever use my last name like that BR yo dad that's crazy I between two people I'm might have to go with Future Trunks Future Trunks suffers bro bro his whole life is suffering bro bro y'all know trunks is my guy from D DBZ I love trunks bro life sus it was between Trunks and uh Gohan because Gohan been through some he been through it too Goan been in the trenches four or five years he been through the but yeah as far as like suffering and losing people trunks has by far uh when you think of Android Saga you think of um Terminator over that the Androids come uh in the future and they pretty much kill off everybody they just butcher everybody the only surviving people is future Gohan and trunks and th those are pretty much the last saviors of Earth and Android 17 and 18 they just going around killing like it's fun it's for fun we do we do this for fun we do this yeah and when it all comes down to it I would say dragon ball um the story of Future Trunks that has to be one of the saddest movies of Dragon Ball and um yeah when Gohan died bro yeah yikes tough bro like I feel like if trunks was there in the moment it probably wouldn't have like hit him as hard if he was like fighting but imagine you pull up it's pouring rain and you just see Yo best friend and your Mentor just laid out rag do you just rag do bro losing lost the arm like damn wild and that's what triggered him into becoming a Super Saiyan and then trunks was like yo this we we have suffered so much I gotta go into another timeline and and come back and and train up yeah make sure this don't have big body right and that's why I like trunks too because he don't he don't play with his food when he see an enemy he goes to kill he never played with Frieza he never plays with the Androids he don't play with cell Vegeta gave cell a chance to actually oh I'll let you power up you can absorb 17 18 we'll see what you can do and beat the [ __ ] out of his son when he tried to stop him like year right that's wild and then go of course Goku him being such a nice person it was like yo even though you evil and you destroy pretty much my family and whole planet I'mma give you a chance yeah I'm G give you a chance trunk don't play that if you see an enemy that has potential to cause what he what happened in the future for him he's going to end that [ __ ] right now yep when he saw cell and when he saw the Androids sleeping that those um uh those pods kill right now he does not play when it comes to a Potential Threat to Earth because he knows what it's gonna become yeah because he's seen it already they don't the yeah our regular timeline the saans and the Z Fighters they don't see what about to happen he already knows if y'all let this [ __ ] fly all y are gonna die it's R for everybody all of y'all are gonna die so yeah out of Dragon Ball Z I would say trunks has probably one of the saddest backstories ever so I'm a my first person is the only main character on my list so I'm I'mma get it out of the way so that Ellis don't take it later because I know it's on Ellis's list he's the one who introduced me to this anime that's the only reason I'm saying that is guts from berserk man bro that dude's backstory [ __ ] sucks dude oh my God his life just his entire life in general [ __ ] sucks there's no born from his Dead Mother's body bro first of all imagine the first thing you see is your dead mama that's going to that's going to scar you for the rest of your life then he was so you already traumatized you just came out you you know what I'm saying then he got sold to another mercenary who then beat him physically and then tortured him psychologically then throughout his whole life all he faces is tragedy from then on out like his whole life is just despair yep yeah not one happy moment no seriously seriously that man has I don't even I can't even remember like does he ever really enjoy his life like maybe for small sections of time but like you got maybe like enjoyment bro but no not [ __ ] not even not any prolonged happiness not even three actually so talk about an MC who doesn't ever have reprieve bro guts goes through it day in and day out so yeah when they talk about like jjk bro get the get out of my face blows life is like E from a child his dad had crazy amounts of debt I don't know if he had a gam problem or what dad had insane amounts of debt he was like all right [ __ ] we going to give it to your kid cuz you can't bro he is poor on the streets eating cigarettes for money bro like fact cigarettes for money to eat maybe a piece of bread and split it with a dog he's gotta pay off his dad's debt that's not and even then when he finally gets a situation to where he can get out of that and he meets Maka and all that stuff she's obviously psychologically manipulating this man like oh 100% literally the entire show literally the entire show he's being manipulated by this woman like psychologically physically mentally every aspect is being controlled by that woman and nobody sees it until like kind of towards the very end where um Maka does something and denji like [ __ ] loses it like snaps like his mental is broken and then she constantly does more things to break his mental even more until he's just like a literal husk of what he once was like the happy go-lucky dingji that went went in thinking oh my life's going to turn around no no right negative so yeah dji's life sucks so I I had to throw in here [ __ ] denji had to sell body parts to to have a shelter yep just to have it wasn't even a good one bro no it wasn't bro it's not like he out here living in a condo he was like how much can I get if I sell my kidney like bro if you got to ask that question how down bad are you bro in a shack bro no dji's life is insanely bad remember when he he ate toast and like guarantee you somebody in that mission is dying bro so he's constantly seeing his homies die constantly and he even had to kill his own this ain't a spoiler attack when Titan done but he had to kill his own like crew like his lifelong crew that he goes out whole squ yeah whole Squad he like I I remember when he was swinging through the trees and he looked and he turned around and he noticed all their faces and he had memories of them he was like gotta close my heart to it close my heart to it and then just started damn that's [ __ ] bro that's [ __ ] then he gets hurt during the final battle and he can't even bro he he a war he a war Vette in a will War bro in a wheelchair right now bro handing out ice cream at the end of the show like he's he's a war veteran bro like Levi has had a wild wild when you break them down and I also gotta um point out I've been watching uh I just finished black I I rewatched Black Lagoon again okay and yo I I would I would have to say the people in raner that's the city where like all the criminals are 80% of that population has a sadder backstory than than Yugi yeah all the cast has been through some heavy [ __ ] heavy heavy [ __ ] and looking back at it now not to go on the Spiel but looking back at it now because I watch this showing like like senior year in high school looking back at it now it's not so much more the action I'm looking at it's it's with the dialogue it's like why are these people the way they are because something in their childhood made them like this this is why they crazy this is why they murderous people yep so facts yeah Black Lagoon that's crazy show crazy craziness so was that your was that your next one Alice yeah yeah I'm done that was like my top three trunks Guts and Black Lagoon all right so the last one I got and this is a controversial opinion in my I don't know if it's super controversial but I don't think a lot of people would have thought about it and the reason I think it's not really thought about is because the whole anime itself is kind of happy go-lucky in a way kind of and I Le that but because there's going to be Parts where obviously it's devastating but Nico Robin from one piece bro yeah that's also true yep bro she's got some [ __ ] going on in her life bro and like labeled what what's her label demon child demon yeah demon spawn demon demon spawn something like that um so she was the she was the Lone Survivor of the tragedy where she it and then she was abused by her aunt everybody including her best friend was murdered like and then she just grew up an outcast for the rest of like you know how hard you know how many people in anime grew up as a social outcast this was hard for me because I I didn't want to put two Naruto references in there yeah because like Naruto obviously grew up as a social outcast but so did gar like gar was going through it but like you are isolated from the entirety of everybody body else everyone looks at you and just is like nah not stay away from that one no and then the people that did love you and support you for who you were in Nico Robin's case all got killed like yeah yeah it's just yeah that's despair bro that's Des One Piece One Piece got some we got some pretty much everybody on the stride crew got a sad moment in sad yeah yeah that's why I said like it's not a sad anime but they all have sad moments you know I got so yeah but I think Nico Robbins it's because of the isolation piece itself is like super depressing yeah yeah damn shout out to one piece man shout out to one piece but I'm glad we started talking about one piece because we got a one piece Topic in here so uh in a 2012 interview recently translated Oda opened up about the overwhelming reception toward Monkey D Luffy's brother when Ace first appeared the reaction from my audience was tremendous so I was worried about whether or not I should kill Ace so OD was going through it going back and forth realizing oh should I kill Ace should I not kill Ace my question to y'all is if Oda said you know what I can't do it and he didn't kill Ace in marineford how do you think that would impact the story if at all so I I'll I'll go first if um y don't got anything yet um but I feel like Ace Ace's death would be inevitable I feel like it would still happen with A's person and this is coming from an ace top five characters in one piece for me because I love fire users period in any anime I love fire um like Ace Ace's personality he's he's that stubborn child for Whitebeard that always wants to do what he wants and he doesn't learn he doesn't get it until like he realizes oh [ __ ] I messed up so he took a l from Blackbeard I feel like if Oda didn't kill him off that Marine Ford he'd be back trying to get with Blackbeard again and that [ __ ] would not end well yeah Blackbeard got two devil fruit Powers Yeah Yeah and uh Ace I feel like he would just be he's smart but he's Reckless at the same time like he does what he wants but I feel like that type of Drive will get him killed eventually feel like in with the inevitability it's gonna happen regardless it's just going to happen in a different way yep so that's that's that's my take regardless Ace is gonna something's gonna happen a something something's definitely gonna happen Ace because I it's tough It's really tough it's really tough when you think about it because you have to take into account like you said his personality his Reckless nature and all that stuff so if he didn't die there I mean he was going get God eventually somebody's gonna because think about it like if Ace still has his power and stuff like that you gotta realize like Sabo he's not getting he's not getting AC's fruit and all that [ __ ] so everything that goes into that as well you got to take that into account too but I I definitely can see Ace still getting still getting knocked off a little later on by either he might pull up the Blackbeard try to box him or he might I don't know pull up to wano catch a stray from kaido get knocked off true um I can I honestly I definitely see him pulling up Toano at some point I don't know if he's going to be there helping the straw hats but I can definitely see him pulling up Toano because what was that one girl's name talking to Luffy and she was like oh I remember someone who looks like you like was talking to her I can't remember I can't remember I definitely think yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but I definitely think he's gonna pull up Toano at some point in time Ace Ace and Luffy and this is why they kind of the same but with with the thing with Ace is he's with the whitebeards but he kind of goes off and does his own missions and stuff yeah the only thing with Luffy is he has his crew Luffy took L's with kaido a whole bunch but with Ace I feel like if he went up against kaido he don't really have his crew members behind because Whitebeard doing his own thing I feel like Ace would just go in Solo feel like I say over go wano he might catch a straight so yeah yeah I don't know I don't know and like uh do I think it would change the story yeah no I don't think I don't think Ace's death would have or if he didn't die would have altered the story all that much and the reason I say that is because if you look at the way the ace is written his character he doesn't really want to do massively impactful things if that makes sense he doesn't have contradictory yeah he's he doesn't have like a contradictory goal to any of the main story right you know it's not like the reason if you look at certain Side characters in other animes the they all follow the same principle of the main character has a goal and all the impactful side characters either help them along with that goal as an arms and arms like Zoro to yeah to Luffy in this case or they contradict them and say no I'm GNA do whatever that goal is that you have in this case like Sasuke turning around and deciding he wanted to be the hok KAG at the very end of Nar DB as [ __ ] but okay but that's why they exactly but that's why they have so much impact on that on the main story of whatever's going on so Ace isn't like I'm gonna be the pirate King instead of you Luffy right I think that's actually a horrible Avenue to take if just turned around and said oh let's be Rivals yeah it doesn't make any sense so I don't really because your original question is how would have the story been impacted I don't really think it would have been impacted all that much like yeah we might have had another a couple more scenes where Ace is out here trying to you know do his thing with black beard or whatever but like yeah it's not going to go well for you as we already discussed so it's really not that big deal I'm telling you if if he pulls up to Blackbeard or wano and tries to take on kaido is it's over it's because realisticly I can't see Ace like I I know Ace has his own trajectory Ace is like Shaq bro he's just doing sidequest yeah yeah exactly he's not gonna go out of his way to like help Luffy or anything like that he's like bro he he got it that's your I saw what he did in Marine for he got it bro he's fine without me so I definitely feel like Ace would kind of just do his own thing again maybe they meet up in wano but again but even if they did like yeah how is his presence gonna impact what really happened at wano yeah I don't know if it's gonna impact but he'd be there yeah I mean probably be there I mean I don't know if I mean if him dying in wano affected Luffy in any way maybe maybe maybe gear five gets turned on a little early just just imagine Ace and Ace and Luth vers kaido bro that fight that would be a sick fight but hey that's but you know how that would be written it's a Shonen that like they be getting their ass beat and then all of a sudden Ace dies and that's what propels Luffy to hit gear five early and then know yeah so definitely Ace dying it's it's got to happen like it's inevitable I think if even if Ace didn't die at marineford I still think Luffy would still end up training with like Rollins and stuff like that cuz Ace almost died I think that would be Luffy's main factor like it's not ace actually did die and he's got a train so that [ __ ] doesn't happen again he almost died and he saw it and he could have prevented if he was strong enough so he like all right cool let me go train let me go train [ __ ] like that so yeah and even even with the Marines like they know that this is Goldie Rogers son so like we gota he's never he's always gonna look behind the shoulder be like yo they're me like the entire time I can't get away so yeah it regardless regardless RP to Ace RP to my dog Ace man RP to my dog Ace all right we gonna get into a little bit of a little bit of gaming y'all finished the God of War Valla right I finished the main series Valla yeah but I did not finish the DLC yet okay so I I I finished it I finished it too so y'all Let it Fly it don't matter to me okay cool cool cool cool so we gonna give just little thoughts and stuff like that how you how you feeling about it uh Ellis how are you feeling about man just give me your overall thoughts and impressions of the DLC did you like it not like it hey Santa Monica shout out to y'all y'all are cooking this DLC was amazing even though I got my ass kicked so many times in balla yep I still love this DLC and they made so much money like I was saying in one of my videos they made so much money off of God of War Ragnarok they just hand this to us for free fre we didn't need to pay anything and I I love how Kratos andala Kratos goes here because he got some he got some stuff that he needs to handle and even with the event with his son there's some stuff in his past that he needs to uh he needs closure y pretty much what this DLC is closure it's like it's like a therapy session for cradles pretty much exactly exactly of everything that happened in in God of War 123 we know Kratos was a dog he still is but he wasu he used to be a dog he was ruthless in the trilogy he didn't care who got in his way innocent civilian he don't M he his revenge in his mind was way bigger than that don't matter who got killed yep so he finally comes to terms with that and be like [ __ ] I did a lot lot of [ __ ] and if I die so be it so but he handles that he goes to pineer fights with tier and uh and for those of y'all who don't know that is the uh Norse god of war version yep um and we I fight with him [ __ ] I had this on the not insane mode but the level before that tier kicked my ass like 15 times oh no tier tier was a beast I didn't know he had I didn't know he was like that but yeah we finally we finally get with here and even with him even with us battling him he he walks us it's like a the like like you said like a therapy session with with tier tier's a counselor and and we we go on this path and we uh look at um his past and we see some familiar faces uh since I I I'll bring it out spoiler but we see Helios uh the dude who got his head ripped off and yeah and instead of mamir having having the head like Kratos um by his side Helios is talking [ __ ] the whole time like talking [ __ ] bro yo yeah so yeah I like that aspect of it and then we get the we get the Blade of Olympus bro oh my God that that [ __ ] hey if you pull that [ __ ] out on a tier he's like oh you got a new weapon nice yeah yeah it was it was tough it was tough but that DLC was pretty much closure I like the way it ended things for Kratos you see Kratos now and then you have a reflection of Kratos when he was in his younger days and go and all go yeah yeah yeah that that was that was super epic and he forgives him and it's like yo you're me you were Reckless you were stubborn you were stupid but if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be the man I am today so he had to go through a whole bunch of trials and tribulations in this DLC but overall yes it was amazing it was great I loved it let me uh let me talk to Y [ __ ] real quick man let me talk to y'all [ __ ] real quick man look so when I first started playing this DLC hey boys I'll be right back y'all when I first started playing this DLC I ain't gonna lie to you brh I wasn't I wasn't feeling it because I played oh really I played the first few then I died and then I played I got to tier I beat him and then Kratos was like H her get off my head and he went back to the shore and they're like it's okay try again I was like what you mean try again I thought I I thought I did it and then you had to go all the way up to tier again through the exact same [ __ ] places to fight tier again go back to the shore fight teer again after going through the exact same places and I was like bro this [ __ ] is so [ __ ] repetitive but then but then I actually listened to the dialogue and I listened to how the dialogue progressed and stuff like that and I just listened to how Kratos was talking to mamir and stuff like that and I was like oh he's learning something about himself each time he goes through and that's what kind of like made me kind of like tune in a little bit like oh [ __ ] okay so like it's kind of like you going through all these same same uh places locations fighting tier and then going back you can kind of attribute that to Kratos fighting through his issues fighting through his problems over and over again talking to tier going back reflecting and then fighting through his same problems again to tell tier what he learned and after I looked at it in that perspective I was like this [ __ ] is great [ __ ] is gold man but at first play through I was like bro this [ __ ] is so repetitive like oh yeah if you think about it it's same it's literally the same thing what like
