my next plate of food is the grilled salmon belly oh you can hardly even pick up this whole thing without it just collapsing because it's so soft that is a mouthful of omega threes everyone I hope you're having an amazing day it's mark means I'm in Honolulu Hawaii right now I'm in Chinatown and there's a restaurant it's called Magoo dough Brothers my uncle told me about it it looks really awesome they have local food mostly Japanese especially lots of fish and sashimi there and it looks really good it's within the market and it's yeah it looks really awesome so we're gonna go eat there right now and I'm gonna show you all the food this is a relatively recently opened restaurants within the fish market and there yeah you can go me actually this is a whole market you can come here to buy lots of vegetables they have fresh seafood a lot of my relatives family come here to buy vegetables as well because it's they have affordable prices anyway it's at the back of the market it's called Magoo Toll Brothers and okay I can see it right now this pot okay I think I'm ready one two total of gumbo need a can I have some honey also put it it's a really cool place it's yeah it's a stall with in the market they have the premium grades of aji which is tunable over here they also have salmon they have a variety of different seafoods as well I like the menu the menu is pretty pretty straight to the point most of them are bowls there's pokeballs which is the Hawaiian style then they have a selection of grilled fish then they have sushi bowls which is the Japanese style but this is it's more on the Japanese side as opposed to the Hawaiian side a lot of people come here for takeaway but they do have a handful of tables about five different tables that you can say that if you get a seat but what I like it is that it's a full open kitchen you can see them cooking they have a stack of tuna lined up for making pokey for making sashimi and then she's also frying some fish that we ordered as well yeah this is this is a great spot samo and Tom Biddy and it's in Simon W we were generally sitting at this table but I think he thought the table was a little too small for the amount of food that we ordered so you move this over here and if they're really nicely even serve it to you even though it's like it's a it's a market stall and you kind of walk up to the counter to get your food he came over here to his serve it to our table that was nice of him this looks extraordinary I got to go straight in for this to total and true Toto is the medium fatty tuna you can see that white mix of fat within the the redness and so is it's more of a pink color and then I also got a little bit of uni on the side I saw they were offering Oni which is sea urchin I comes over a bed of rice it looks like they sprinkled on just a little bit of soy sauce there's rice on the bottom here and then there's a little bit of a seaweed and then some green onions okay the first thing I have to do is just taste that fish that's insane all that yeah that's just effortless chewing it just melts it's so fresh it's so pure stick this on to the piece of - Toto lift up with rice [Music] now Mooney is like almost like peanut buttery in cases almost has a nutty taste to it it's really creamy it's really really smooth as well got some wasabi on that buy do well that was my first bite of rice the rice is a little bit seasoned it's perfect temperature first of all it's just lukewarm has a little bit of a salty seasoning and maybe just a little hint of vinegar in there I was just expecting it to be regular right but even though rice has some balmy flavor to it my next plate of food is the grilled salmon belly this is something I couldn't resist they also have grilled ahi belly which is grilled tuna belly which also I know would be extraordinary but this time I went with the salmon since I have so much tuna already I just got to pick up this whole chunk oh oh you can see look underneath that rice and see how the oil has just started to seep under the rice it's shimmering oh you can hardly even pick up this whole thing without it just collapsing because it's so soft okay I'll let that piece go and off I'll just grab this bin and it's just oozing with oily fattiness Oh pull any stunts call that just melts and who is is tell that's extraordinary it's so rich that's ridiculously good Wow like that's everything you need in a single bike [Music] and again there it absolutely this is this is plain rice compared to the sashimi bowl which is more of the two she rice the rice is cooked perfectly no mistakes with the rice you've got that light puta kaki on there a little bit of seaweed with sesame seeds and then yeah those fatty juices from that salmon belly have leaked all over the rice to just make it rich and oily and it's so flavorful the juiciness will blow your mind that is a mouthful of omega threes okay the final dish that I got is Hawaiian style polka which is raw fish but instead of slicing it sashimi style it's sliced into cubes its cubed this is the Hawaiian style EMU so there's Lee moon which is this type of seaweed there are some sweet onions in here and what the difference about this pocket is that they make it completely fresh so often times you'll go to a poke a restaurant in Hawaii and they they mix it and it marinates it sits in the sauce but the difference here is that they they they have all the fresh fish just in slabs and as soon as you order it they mix it on spot so this is like as fresh as possible just the pureness of that fish is it's mind-blowing oh well we gotta get to the punch and it's awesome all that melts in your mouth you can taste is that the Hawaiian salt you get the crunch the beautiful crunch of the lima with the sweet onions the green onions as well just a little bit of chili in there it's also not that salty and I think they do that on purpose so that you can add more soy sauce to your liking if you would like that but actually I I prefer it kind of less salty so just so you can just taste the just the pureness just that fish the natural ingredient that broke them out for this might I'll just add a little bit of soy sauce it is good with a little bit of soy sauce too but you don't even need it yeah that's just I only ordered a half a pound you could just beat a half a pound non-stop without without taking a break [Music] finished with lunch and that was a really early lunch we got here at about and I think about 10:15 and we were one of the first people here because they hadn't even taken some of the chairs down from the tables now it's full and they sometimes have a line up here and it's still before lunch it's like 11:15 right now but that's because their food is absolutely extraordinary really really fresh you can taste it I mean it's it's more on the Japanese side they have full draw and they have cooked fish that you can order here but even with their pockets more on the Japanese side because it really focuses on the actual quality of the aji itself as opposed to the marinade so it wasn't even salty you can add a little bit of soy sauce on your own but the pyramids the freshness that's what speaks for itself that was so good it was actually so good that I had to order again so we're waiting for some takeaway to bring back to my some of my relatives you gotta go down that's all thank you got the takeaway this is just a really awesome awesome place in Honolulu right in the market it's home agudo brothers they're really friendly the food is really good quality it's it's it's medium priced so some of the bowls some of the dishes are about $10 for the box but it's really worth it because the fish is such good quality and I fully enjoyed both and another thing I like is that you can get you can get one dish that's raw one dish that's cooked and see the contrast both are good and yeah highly recommended if you have a chance to come to Chinatown in Honolulu when you're here this is a place my little brothers you know and a mess I'm gonna go ahead and end this lunch vlog right now I hope you enjoyed this video I'll leave all the all
