when did who did you know was a Hall of Fame or uh when did you realize this that you realize Glavine was a Hall of Famer or Maddux uh the the earliest uh if I'm if I'm expressing that you know did yeah that's a great question I mean I was with Tommy forever and you know I'll be honest and I think he would say the same thing when I joined Tommy and the amount of Braves he lost 17 games and I went this guy's the future and uh I watched him uh grueling grueling ly you know gritting Lee pitch his way into the Hall of Fame with less than i popping stuff this guy was a warrior on the mound you couldn't tell if he was happy or sad which really kind of made his stoic personality the reason why he always put his team in a chance to win now Greg came in and set a standard that was just ridiculous a four year period five year period I mean his you could say that based on those quick four years scions you were like this guy's all Famer Glavine he was able to put together a Hall of Fame career based on his upbringing based on the way that he went about his business he didn't give in he fed off the ego of the hitter and he just was he was relentless and he wouldn't necessarily say that by looking at him but he was relentless and so the question would be probably great first but tom was was not that far behind give me a magic story we haven't heard in and not the towel one well I mean you know for Greg there's so many I mean he just he was one of those guys that let me just put it this way he had a locker mate and it usually was a pitcher and as brilliant as he was on the mound as many warped theories that worked for him the pitcher that was next to him in his locker either got released or traded within a year or two so it was like he had lot of information that worked for him but not necessarily for everybody else but he was he was a great teammate that shared a lot of his theories uh I'm trying to you know help you out for Greg he's a dork off the field you know he's not the professor her uh uh he loves what he does as far as nobody knows who he is walking around the small or the city of that he lives in but he actually he prank guys all the time yeah he intentionally you know played it off like Lucky's a bad interview and don't interview me alone I say he's calculated to the T there's nobody you'll ever meet more calculated whether it's a card game a golf game or pitching then Greg was and if I'll tell you this if you did something outside of the rules of what you were supposed to do it picked them off if you played away in cards that you weren't supposed to he would tell you why you were wrong why you should have played it meanwhile he that person beats you and he didn't he didn't like that same thing when a hitter would hit something that they weren't supposed to hit so he was really he had an interesting mind he was a great teammate we had a lot of fun but it's funny how because he was a great pitcher everyone thought because he wore glasses he was this professor and you answer every crossword puzzle and you know is a great golfer and all this you know that that's the stuff will have to live with going everybody was there when he got excited on the mound oh yeah that embarrassing moment yet look if there was a arm if there was a rating pg-13 doesn't even come close okay but but he's he was he Court is battery I mean he's on the mound and he was excited yeah I think that that more happen when uh you know Mark Grace in the Chicago Cubs when he and those when those two got together but but but Greg uh that's great that's great okay was definitely one of those guys that uh but he got excited on the mound John how does that happen during a game that Maddux is actually noticeably excited well like I said you can expected with Greg and and I told you this before and and just for in case you guys are ever in a place where you have rented a car and you're giving them a ride don't do it he will destroy your rent-a-car so that's the tip of it just just tell them to get a cab or follow you and that may not be a good idea he will take the rear bumper off your Crenna car if given enough time to follow you at each light that you stop he will bump you I know you gotta get ready for TV hey thanks for joining us Johnny you got hi John Smoltz
