I love him I love going to his church down in the mobile area we've been there a couple times to minister and I just can't say enough because when he comes he always brings a very special word that we need and it's a it's an up building word it's something that just and I never will forget and our partners conference when he was up speaking on the spirit of Leviathan and the Supreme Court at 10 o'clock made the decision for gay marriage to prove it and he was right in the middle of a prophetic word dealing with that and as you know I call him America's revival pastor he's had more revivals break out in his place than any pastor maybe in the history of America maybe in the history denies States as far back as I could think except maybe Jonathan Edwards who preached his own during the right awakening but I want us to give him honor I want to give him plenty of time and you know this brother you take total freedom and liberty our people are used to me preaching long and they don't leave on you that's the thing they don't leave they get one service a week and they like it okay right help me preach somebody I want to hear an amen somewhere and and and we're going to be announcing in months to come some of the men that we're going to be bringing in and people we're going to be bringing in it's going to be great but tonight I'm very honored to have John Kilpatrick everybody knows him as the Brownsville revival revival past her that's his notoriety but he's more than that he pastors a great Church and great people and so glad to have him I want to stand our feet put our hands together give honor to whom honor is due to John Kilpatrick our friend pastor Evangeline thank you very much thank you thank you for having me wow this is always a privilege to come and be with brother Perry I'm glad to help my son with me tonight John Michael gentle Michael were you out are you and he's a big old boy when he stands up you'll be able to see him where's he at there is there he is back in the sound booth John Michael that's my youngest son right there and my wife is said that she wants to come with me but just every time we get ready to come up here it seems like something comes up she can't come but I do have a wife amen during the rounds were to Bible you know all kind of rumors gets out on you whenever you get any kind of notoriety at all and Lord they had me divorced and with another woman running around the country was with another woman like Tony and Steve and the mother guys traveled wouldn't gonna put up with that you know by the way this is Tony shopper he's been traveling with me for over 20 years stand up Tony let everybody see ya they wanted me to tell the stories in okay if I tell that okay they want me to tell this story this happened last Saturday and I don't still know the full significance of it but anyway I was coming out of my door we had special services at church of his president's last Friday night Saturday morning and Sunday morning and Saturday morning I was coming out of my house going in for the service on Saturday morning and lo and behold there was a bald eagle sitting on my house up on the gutter and whenever I come out you know though there don't get near homes and they don't get near people but whenever I came out boy he he lifted off and when he did he had about a seven foot wingspan and he didn't even lunge off my house he just spread his wings and just and whenever I was pulling out of the property he was circling about 25 or 30 feet above my truck all the way out my property and they said when I pulled out of the property he'd come back to my property and got up in a tree at the edge of the property so I just couldn't figure that out you know I thought well man that means something I'm sure some kind of a sign so that next morning I had a guy on the way in and he stopped by Lowe's to pick up something for me for the service so his wife was in the car and I was telling him about it and so whenever I told him about it I heard her start speaking in tongues in the background so I said okay well she knows something so they sent that morning at two o'clock in the morning some guy posted a prophecy on the Elijah list and the title of it was the Eagles have been loosed and so it was a powerful prophet word and I still don't know all the whole thing about it I just still don't know all that it means but it was a powerful prophetic word but here's what I think it seems like to me in the last little while it seems like God is beginning to do things different than he's done things before something's up somebody say something's up God's about to do some great things well tonight for next a little while and by the way I'll have this out there at my product table afterwards I'm not gonna really talk about it in any product in particular but it'll be out there at the table after a while if you'd like to go by and pick it up I want to speak on something negative tonight it sounds negative is all get-out but I'm gonna make it positive and I want to deal with ten things you need to know about a satanic attack and it's positive I've trance taun it and made sure that it's transitioned into a positive thing for everybody so I wanted to talk to you about that I was gonna go a different route up until just a few minutes ago I was gonna be preaching on something different but I felt like the Lord prompted me to preach on this tonight so is that okay with you now I'm gonna ask you not to take notes if you will please I know you probably are note takers but it I don't like preaching to colleagues I like preaching to countenances when people take notes I preach to colleagues I don't like that besides I'm gonna go so fast you won't be able to take notes on all of it anyway but you know I've been pastoring since 1970 full time and I've been preaching I was credentialed with the Simmons of God in 1966 so I've been preaching over 50 years and I've been around a lot of situations been around you know pastored large churches and I've been in all kinds of situations that you can imagine but it seems like to me that God's people have been going through things that's just more than coincidence God's peoples been going through attack and I think it's time that we talk about it not in a negative way not to give the devil any praise whatsoever we're gonna turn this thing and give God praise tonight but I want you to stand with me as we read just one scripture I'm gonna read from proverbs chapter 2 and I need my glasses please I need proverbs chapter 2 and I'm gonna read just one verse if you want to look at it on the screen with me it's chapter 2 and verse 11 and it says this discretion shall preserve thee but understanding shall keep thee let's look at it together discretion shall preserve thee but understanding shall keep thee okay let me explain it to you before I let you be seated you're gonna go through things that you will not be able to express you're going to go through things that you can't even explain to your husband you can't even explain it to your wife you're gonna go through things that even though you might make a pass appointment with a pastor and sit down and try to explain it to him you'll leave that appointment feeling like he didn't get it you know it's something you're going through something that's personal and you might not be able to express it but the Holy Spirit will give you the ability to understand it even though you might not be able to explain it does that make sense let me say it one more time before I let you be seated you're going to go through things if you haven't already you will and many of you are probably in the middle of it right now are just emerging from it are you going to go through things that you won't be able to really explain but the Holy Spirit will give you understanding of it but even though you have understanding of it you still will not be able to justifiably feel like you convince somebody what you're going through it's just something that you're experiencing so one more time discretion will preserve you but understanding will keep you I want to talk to you tonight you may be seated I won't talk to you tonight about 10 things that you need to know about spiritual attack I feel like that if you get a copy of this back in the back you'll really listen to it more than one time but I'm not going to just deal with this all 10 points tonight because time won't permit it I won't be able to cover all 10 points but I'll probably at least cover about five or six of them but I won't be able to cover all 10 because I think if I'm not mistaken I covered the ten points in two or three parts yeah so so the devil has three strategies that he's going to try to pull on God's people and I know that you can agree with every one of these strategies because many of you are there are just emerging from it or you feel yourself about to go into it one of the things is the devil whenever you come under attack the devil wants you to get offended with God because you believe that you're God's darling and you believe that he is with you you Amen the things that the preacher preaches you believe it and you're supposed to believe it you've had intimate times with the Lord and you feel special but when you go through an attack one of the first things the devil's going to say to you is if God loved you he wouldn't permit this if God loved you he would protect you from this he would have shielded you from this but he's let you go he's got his hand off of you now and you've done something and he's going to let you go through this and he's letting the devil have his way with you so number one the devil wants you to get offended with God and when you get offended here's what happens it's almost the same as getting mad at somebody when you get mad at somebody you get quiet you sort of get a little pouty you get slack when you get offended or when you get angry when you get offended you at your behave almost exactly the same way you get quiet you get slack in going to your prayer closet you feel watch the use he's let this happened to me what's the use to even pray God didn't help me and then you want to start aborting church attendance you want to avoid the places where victory is being talked about our testimonies are being shared you want to avoid that kind of environment because it intimidates you you see others that got a great testimony but you feel like God didn't do for you what you wanted him to do and so you're offended with the Lord and the devil doesn't really care so much about you getting offended with other people which is a really an issue but he wants you to get offended with the Lord number two the second thing I want to say about this before I get started is that the devil knows he can't stop God's blessings but he attempts to spoil the blessings of God no one should listen to something I used to think that God would bless and the devil would come and try to steal the blessing that's what I used to believe I don't believe that anymore let me tell you what I know now I don't believe that God blesses and the devil comes and tries to steal but now I've come to realize that the devil will attack before the blessing comes and the attack is proportionate to whatever God is going to bless you with if you go into a little attack you've got a little blessing coming if you go and feel mediocre attack you got a mediocre blessing coming if you're going to go through hell go through it right and get you a major blessing come on shout amen [Applause] but everything that you go through whenever you start going through it it's a dead giveaway it's a dead giveaway it's a sign that God is about to bless you let me say something about the devil the devil is not like the adorable Godhead the adorable Godhead is omniscient all-knowing it's omnipotent it's all-powerful and its omnipresent it means it's everywhere at one time that's that that's the hallmarks of the Godhead Satan is not omnipotent he can't do whatever he wants to do he's not omnipresent he depends on the network of demon spirits and rulers of Darkness to keep him informed and also he's not all-powerful he can't just do anything so here's what I'm trying to say Satan is supernatural and it means that he can see into the spirit world because he's part of that spirit world but what I've noticed is usually when God gets ready to do something like in the book of Genesis the Bible talks about how the spirit hovered before God spoke the spirit hovered and then God spoke the spirit jumped to attention when God spoke and made it happen whatever God said but first the spirit hovers tell you what I believe I believe that before God does something in a church a ministry a family or an individual's life our ministry the Spirit of God starts hovering waiting for God to give the command for the Holy Spirit to make you come to pass so here's what happens here's what happens when the devil sees that the spirit is hovering over a certain church the devil says to his minions get him and the devil will attack now what's the purpose in the devil attacking when he sees the Holy Spirit hovering is number one he wants you to get offended with God and behave in such a way that the Spirit of the Lord begins to back off a little bit because of your behavior how many times has a prophetic word come to a church and God's given a prophetic word and the Lord says hey I'm going to pour out my spirit they're going to come from the north south east and west they'll come in in wheelchairs that leave pushing their wheelchairs I'm going to open the eyes of the blind I'm going to open up the deaf ears demons will be cast out people rejoices they write that down in the leaf of their Bible and they say Wow pull her to God great things are coming and then the first news you know after that prophetic word happens the devil waits awhile and then he begins to strategize to attack that church before that blessing comes and if he can get people to start behaving carnally it causes the Spirit of God to be backed off a little bit and if he can do that if he can get you to behave wrongly and then you begin to back away because you get hurt with God you get offended with God or you start talking against the preacher you start talking against the worship you start talking to mr. against the vision of the church well everything was set the Holy Spirit was hovering the prophetic word came but now that the devil is attacked is changed your behavior here's one thing I want to make clear if the devil ever starts attacking as I said a while ago it's a dead giveaway God's about to bless shut your mouth hunker down and wait for the attack to pass over and when it passes over you'll enter into the full blessing of the Lord come on give God praise shut your mouth the devil's gonna get you to try to start singing that old sad song you always sing why I mean Lord he's gonna start all that kind of stuff and the first years you know you're gonna slide right back off in that ditch just be quiet batten down the hatches hunker down this attack won't last forever when it's over you'll stand up and receive the blessings of the Lord can you shine a man so if the devil is attacking it means God's about to bless now everything is proportionate as I just told you so the Lord said to me as I was getting ready to preach on this the Lord said tell the people they've got to learn to quit being reactionaries and be responders what is a reactionary somebody pops you on the cheap you haul off and knock him out if you can somebody wants to sue you you go get a bigger lawyer and a better lawyer and a and a meaner lawyer than they got you're gonna fight him you're gonna fight fire with fire that's reaction Jesus never reacted I'd like to say that again Jesus never reacted they popped him on the face he responded and turned the other cheek once you start reacting every time the devil does something he's going to drive you in the ground get control be disciplined if something happens don't far off at the mouth don't get angry don't react respond be christ-like and that thing will end much quicker did you know it took Israel 40 years to cross the same wilderness Jesus crossed in 40 days and the wilderness you can extend your stay I said in the wilderness you can extend your stay how did Jesus go through the same wilderness Israel went through how did he go through it so quick he stayed with it is written he responded it is written okay so those three things is the first thing that I want to cover in regard to a satanic attack number one God the devil wants you to get offended with the Lord be careful with that be careful how you let your behavior change and get all pouty with God be careful with that if you feel that coming on you resist it with all you've got second thing is the devil knows he can't stop God's blessings so he attempts to spoil it I'm gonna tell you a real quick story on that point before I move on when I built Brownsville when we built Brownsville it was the three-year ordeal it was a year in the architectural stages it was a year and getting the financial package together and it was 13 months building the building I was in over 200 meetings in regard to Brownsville when we got in the church I was so whipped and so beat I didn't hardly know my name I was so tired I couldn't hardly even I couldn't enjoy the new church does I so tired that's being emotionally drained emotionally and beat down physically so I remember I just got up one Sunday night and I told the church after I got through preaching I said folks I love you and just so happy to be here and everything but I said I've got to take a month off I've got to take some time I just got to get away and I got a rest well this man walked up to me a doctor my church walked up to me he said I got two condos and he said I got one in Padre Island Texas and I got one in New Orleans he said I'd like to give you a week in New Orleans to give you and your wife a week in Padre Island I said aw man thank you that's the blessings I just want you to have and enjoy but he said it won't come available for two weeks well that gave the devil plenty of time to come up with a strategy so on Sunday night two weeks from that night I was gonna leave me and Brenda and was going to New Orleans so before we left on Sunday night on Saturday all hell broke broke out in Brownsville this is before the revival this was in the eighties all hell broke out in Brownsville it wasn't against me but it was families in the church had a problem pretty serious problem and Here I am so tired I need rest desperately and so now it's so bad I almost cancelled it twice leaving because I knew I had to be there to deal with it so I went ahead left anyway well when I left town it got worse and now I wasn't there where I could just deal with the situation now it was worse and I'm supposed to be resting but I'm on pins and needles dealing with this situation and it's bad so we get over there and the whole week it's just getting worse and worse and worse now we're supposed to leave New Orleans and we're supposed to go to Padre Island Texas well in New Orleans they got all kind of good food beads they got all kind of great shopping when I first got there I was so tired I went to bed slept 16 hours without getting up it's not tired I was then when I got rested a little bit I was just concerned on the phone all the time about this situation my staff was involved with it it was getting worse by the longer well now our time came the week was up it's time to go to Padre Island Texas it's sure enough bad now so I go to Padre Island Texas I wanted to go deep-sea fishing I want to go different things I had to stay by the phone all the time couldn't enjoy myself Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and I had to return home on Sat to be homeless Sunday well wouldn't you know it on Saturday evening as I'm on the way home they made peace let me tell you what I learned the devil knows if he can't stop the blessing which the man had given us the condos he said I'll spoil his blessing could I tell you something the devil knows many times he can't stop God from doing what God wants to do in your life but he'll try to spoil it come on help me now I said he'll try to spoil it he'll try to submit in your soup and when you should be enjoying yourself when you should be having such rest and you should be getting revived you should be getting your batteries charged up you can't and so I got so mad on the way home I told my nothing they made peace my god she said oh Jesus they made peace what do you saying she said it ruined our whole vacation I said I know it they could have been waiting least waited till I got home and that me made peace with so there's ten things I want to talk to you about I want to be able to cover them all but won't talk to you about ten things in regard to satanic attack number one and don't make notes mm-hmm number one friend don't be so cheap buy the tape it's not the $5 they meant you're out there writing like a maniac and you can spend $5.00 and listen to it get more out of it amen number one regarding a satanic attack if you have two children three children five children ten children and one of your children seems to draw and attract certain Akande demonic attention more than all your other children it's usually a sign that that's the one that the hand of God is rests in the pond could I say that to you let me say it again if you have more than one child and you have three you have five you have four you have two whatever the one that stays in trouble the one that stays trouble the one you worry about the one that stays in the principal's office the one that fights a lot in the neighborhood the one that seemingly has no friends that's usually the one that the hand of God is resting upon and Satan zeroed in on him or her when they were real young because he's trying to keep them from their purposes so let me just say this to you if that's the way it is don't get depressed start rejoicing and saying God's got his hand upon that boy God's got his hand upon that girl God is gonna use them in a mighty way somebody help me tonight [Applause] you've got to realize it you've got to know it you got to cut stop belly aching about it but you got to realize that God's got his handle that child let me tell you something if I had in my hand right now a dollar bill and a hundred dollar bill and I'm standing here and I say to the audience someone in the audience come up here and get the bill out of my hand that you desire well they saw they got close enough they saw hit a one dollar bill $100 bill which one you think they take 100 bill no why why do I say that the hundred dollar bill has more value than the one dollar bill does could I say this God is no respecter of persons he doesn't love any of us more than he does the other one but some children when they're born has more harvest value than other children do you're listening to me I said some children when they're born has more a harvest value than one of your other children does it's the one that has harvest value it's the one that God can use in the harvest at the end of the age it's the one that God can give favor to that can turn the world upside down that's the one that the devil is going to come after he's going to take that one he's going to try to destroy him or her because they have a greater harvest value than maybe all your other children put together so in the name of Jesus I want you to rejoice right now and thank God for the child that's the devil is fighting come on lift your hands up Bracey oh come on praise II want you to listen to this many times what you name a child has a lot to do with how he'll will formulate an attack against them many times what you name a child will have a lot to do with how he'll will study that child and formulate his strategy against that child for example I'll give you this illustration we use brownsville pensacola rather was known around the world as the abortion capital of the world before revival broke out of Brownsville in the 80s it was known as the abortion capital the world doctors were killed they're getting out of their cars going the abortion clinics Worsham clinic was bombed on Christmas Eve and a lot of kids went to one of the assembly guide churches in the local area and they were arrested so there was a lot of people that was involved in the abortion rights deal where they were you know defending the ability to have abortions you know give abortions they were killed but a lot of the people that was against abortion took matters in their own hands and killed some of those people so it was known as the abortion capital of world Pensacola was you remember the headlines I'm sure this is before revival broke out this is in the late 80s and early 90s I went to Brownsville in 1992 so it got so bad that people wouldn't even want to come to Pensacola because it's the main tourist attraction they wouldn't want to come there and it was hurting it was hurting a lot of things so the mayor asked some people in the city if they would be on one of his commissions and they were going to write policies you know and they were going to write a paper about Pensacola and about you know the bortion bombings and all that and the mayor asked several of us preachers to be on the commission and I was on the Commission I was one of them I was one of three passengers that he asked his sermon commission so there's having their first meeting in downtown Pensacola the government Center downtown so there was about a hundred people all kind of civic leaders and all kinds of people there so went in and the mayor had a black board and he had a black velvet thing draped over the black board and he just talked for about 20-30 minutes about Pensacola and you know all the bombings and killings and all that kind of stuff and then he lifted that black cloth off that black board and it had the names listed of everybody that had been killed and it had the names listed of everybody that did the killing and without exception every one of them had a bet about a Bible name every one of them dr. David Gunn was killed Michael Griffin killed him some of the kids that was involved in the bombing of the abortion clinic when I'm his name was Elizabeth and when I'm his name was this and the other his name was that they all had Bible names and the Holy Spirit's whispered in my ear while I sitting there he said son look he said you see that all of them had Bible names parents named their kids Bible names with the anticipation that those kids would grow up to be valiant warriors for the Lord but look how the devil got involved and stop them dead in their tracks and now they're going to prison and the Holy Spirit said what'd you name a child a lot of times has a lot to do with how the devil will formulate an attack which leads me to my next point there was a woman in Oklahoma had a baby back in those days they didn't have babies at hospitals you know back in those days but women had them at home and then after they got well three or four or five days later family will come over and gather in the living room and neighbors would come over but they won't see the near baby so like on a Saturday you know the neighbors would come family members would come and the mother would come out of the back bedroom with this new baby and she's showing off a new baby to all her family and friends and the father this is an Oklahoma so family and friends was gathered together they were just all over there standing out in the yard and this Pentecostal preacher and his wife had had this baby when she came in the living room she's holding this little baby and she was so proud the daddy the Pentecostal preacher was so proud and they said well mama what have you decided to name your baby she said I've decided to call his name oral now I don't know about you I've heard of several Elvis's but I've never heard of but one oral out of all the people that I've ever heard of in my life only one was named oral when she put the name oral on him the devil said okay I've got to come up with a plan to stop him from being oral what do you need if your oral you need your tongue and you need your lungs how did the devil attack Laura Roberts he was a stutterer and he had tuberculosis can I tell you ladies and gentlemen you can't give up and you can't lay down when you do something and you say something the devil's will always come back against it but greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world God's plan is greater and if you're gonna be oral you're gonna need your tongue and you're gonna need your lungs I remember as I was reading all Robert's autobiography I think he was I can't remember the exact age but I think he was a teenager in the upper years of his teen life and he had tuberculosis so bad they want to send him to a TB Center to get in one of those iron tubes you know what those iron lungs he didn't want to do it his dad he didn't want him to do it so he was at home he's basically dying by degrees he was coughing up his lungs like shoe leather he couldn't stop coughing and they had an old coffee can by the bed about like that in the floor by the bed and he would call so much that whenever he would clear his throat he'd be splitting up pieces of his lungs just like she leather and they'd be blood all over the sheets blood all over the spread blood all in the can pieces of his lungs in the can he was dying he was emaciated he was white ghostly looking and a man came by on a Saturday afternoon and evangelist and he asked the pastor or Roberts daddy and mother said can I come in and pray for oral he said oh would you do it please come in and pray the Evangelist went up to the door and he said young man the Lord says all this is for a purpose God's gonna heal you and he's gonna raise you up to take the word of healing to the nations of the earth and he spoke a word of healing over all Roberts and from that moment he stopped spitting up pieces of his lungs he stopped coughing and he started getting better and God raised him up and he sent him to the ends of the earth receive the healing message of Jesus Christ somebody give God praise when you have a child you want to name them something that's precious you want to name them something significant you want to name them a name many people go to the drugstore and they get a little book of names and they get the meaning of those names but many Christians name their children after people in the Bible Esther Joseph Peter Andrew you know we name them these names isn't he wonder that when the devil formulates an attack against them he not only fights that child but he fights the name that's been placed upon that child can I tell you something else any time my name goes up on a church the devil will fight that church in regard to its name our name is Church of his presence and the one thing the devil would love to do more than anything is snuff out the presence of God in the church but I'm there to defend it in our congregation is there to defend it we will defend the name that God has given us and placed there you must defend what God has spoken over you and give you a prophetic word you've got to defend it attack of the devil it's real it's structured its plan and its strategized to come against you now let me say this to you the fourth thing I want to bring to your attention is this the devil will usually always stir against you whenever he sees something very powerful is about to happen in your life you'll stir against you let me jump over here and I'm going to go to number 10 I want to look at this real quickly I feel like I need to go here real quickly an attack the devil will stir against you whenever the devil sees that something is working on your behalf you can't see it you don't know anything about it but the Holy Spirit has got it designed for you he's got it packaged for you it's on the way that's when the devil will attack you many times once on the way if you're being attacked you can say mmhmm mm-hmm something Goods on the way stay sweet keep your mouth shut batten down the hatches hunker down and when it's all over you can reach out and just take it right off the plate that God sends it to y'all but unless of this you can find this kind of thing all throughout scriptures and the Bible says this Acts chapter 11 and then these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch there stood at one of them named Agabus and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar then the disciples every man according to his ability determined to send relief under the Brethren which dwelt in Judea which also they did and sent to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul now that's chapter 11 verses 27 through 30 look at this there was gonna be a dearth they took up offering every men gave according to his ability they determined to send relief to send money to the Brethren which dwelt in Judah they sent it they sent it by the elders by Barnabas and Saul chapter 12 very next verse now about that time Herod the King stretched forth his hand to beg certain of the church he killed James the brother of John with a sword and because he saw it pleased the Jews he proceeded further to take Peter those were the days of unleavened bread and when he had apprehended him he put him in prison delivered him to the four quarter nuns of soldiers to keep him intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people Peter was kept in prison but prayer was made without ceasing under the Church of God for him when the Herod would have brought him forth the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers bound with two chains and the angel of the Lord came shining the light in the prison smoke Peter and said get up move quickly all of this happened after they had took up an offering and sent that offering ahead to help the saints of God the devil got into Herod and he rose up and tried to destroy the people of God the work of God and tried to stop that offering from reaching them I just want to say this right quickly there's somebody here tonight under the sound of my voice or either you're watching me by live streaming but there's somebody you've been praying about a need and God has heard your prayer and somebody somewhere out of the goodness of their heart has gotten a package together even a financial package together and they're sending that and while they're sending that the devil is attacking you and he's trying to circumvent it do not be discouraged it will come through anyhow I said he will come through anyhow well I was battling one time I mean I was really going through the devil I just seemingly couldn't get any relief right during revival for the last revival started in 95 and it ended in 2000 one of the things I noticed about the attacks that I would go through when I pastor in Evansville Indiana before I went to Brownsville I went through a time there for three years when I pastored that church where God was testing me and he was testing my mettle and I believe that that time of testing that I went through for three years in Evansville Indiana I believe that was the determining factor as to whether or not was God was gonna trust me to Pastor a revival in Pensacola I believe that was my testing period I was maligned lied on us preaching revival one night I got up on Sunday night and I preached man I preached on revival I was so anointed it was a glorious service I felt pretty good about it we had a big crowd Sunday night you know and I was preaching about how hungry I was for revival and y'all heard me tell the story before you've heard me tell the story about the Angels you know when I was 15 years old I told that story that night so after I got through I was soaking wet I had my two little sons John Michael and Scott Brenda and then I my mother lived with us back in those days she was alive she lived with us and so after I got through preaching I just went back to my office I just gonna sit down and cool off a little bit well when I opened up the door in my office there was a man waiting behind the door in the dark and so whenever I opened up my office door and I was reached over and flipped the light on a hand caught me like that and snatched me around and I felt the first lick right in my groin area and I heard this voice and he was yelling at me you punk you punk we don't believe a word you're saying bite em angels we don't believe you solo angels and I'm gonna tell you something else you're a misfit up here you don't belong up here you belong with the rest of southerners down south you don't belong up here and said we don't believe half the stuff you're telling us about revival and some of the stuff you said you've seen at all we don't believe it and we don't like you we don't like your children will like your mother and we don't like your wife okay could you make that a little clearer and man the first lick I like I said called me right my groin area and he just kept coming and as he kept coming up toward my chest he was shorter than I was I'm six-three and he was shorter than I was and so I thought well Lord I can't make any promises if he get in my face you know I thought that's about all I got going for me is my face amen so if he gets in my face I can't make any promises so the thought crossed my mind why don't you just take him because he was bent over you know and I said why don't you just take him and bend his arm behind him and just take your belt off and blisters hind in for him and I said no I'm not gonna touch him and I'll let him have his say I'll let him and he stopped right at my neck so when he got through and I went over and cut the light on in the office I knew it was I could tell by his voice he was a preacher he's a preacher and he had been in that church all those many years and it's full of a lot of bitterness and so I turn the light on and I just went over sitting up behind my desk and put my feet up on my desk yesterday you through he said yeah but now I am I so brother listen I said I don't run I'm not gonna run from you I'm not afraid of you I won't touch you because I know you're God's anointed I won't touch you I said but you know I'm going to I don't gonna run and I'm not gonna run back down south just because you don't want me hearing you say the church doesn't want me here I don't run until I'm released by the Lord and the Lord tells me to go and so man he's dumped out slam the door and the people picking up their kids in the nursery heard all of it they heard him yelling and calling me a punk and all that so the word traveled you know it traveled that was before the days of internet but it really travel people don't need internet or any only thing and so they heard the licks so that was July the 22nd of 1980 July the 22nd so I didn't see him again until October and my wife and I went to a District Council in October at Fort Wayne and whenever the we got that the place was full so they the ushers you know asked some people to move over and when they moved over I saw this guy sitting run from him and his wife and I just leaned up you know I don't hold a grudge I just leaned up tapped him on the shoulder and he was smiling everything when each other I saw me he turned right back around and he wouldn't he wouldn't say anything to me well I went home that night and I had a dream it really upset me that he wouldn't speak after all that time because I knew I had nothing in my heart against him I didn't I forgave him totally we forget just troubled me that he hadn't you know he wouldn't even forgive himself I guess but I had a dream and I dreamed that I saw his sister which is also in the church and her husband and in the dream I saw her reach under the bed I was in the bedroom with him and I saw her reach under the bed and pull a suitcase out on the bed and throw it on top of the mattress and I remember seeing the mattress wobble you know when she threw the mattress up there on top of them the suitcase on top of the mattress and she just started throwing clothes in the suitcase and I said to her in the dream I said called her by name I said where you going she said oh brother Kilpatrick haven't you heard I said no heard what she said she called her brother by name she said he was on an airplane and she said in mid-flight he had a heart attack and a stroke and he's in the hospital in a distant country and so I woke up the very next morning I get a call and that preacher left out that morning early and was flying into a distant country while he was on the airplane he had a heart attack and two strokes just like I dreamed I waited for him to get home back to our city it took about six weeks to two months for him to get back I waited till the visiting hours were over and I went into the hospital room there where he was lights were out and I sent him flowers that day my wife and I we sent him flowers and whenever I walked in I walked up to the bed and I said do you know who this is and he shook his head like this and he took his good hand that wasn't affected by the stroke he pointed to the flowers and I saw that the tears was running down his face I'll put my cheek up to his cheek and I said I'll call him by name and I said listen I said man I forgave you months ago I hadn't even hardly thought anymore about it I said I want you to forgive yourself I said the Lord loves you and I don't want you to feel bad about this you understand and from that day forth he could never speak but he could sing it's a strange thing he could never speak but he could sing and that was a time where I was attacked but that attack went from one thing into another thing and for three years I went through similar situations like that that was just unbelievable and my wife would look at me and she'd say honey I don't understand she said I've never seen anybody go through the kind of attacks you go through I've never seen anybody fall the way your fault every move you make the devil fights you every inch of the way I've never seen anything like that and I said back then I didn't know some of the things I'm preaching to you now and I said Brenda evidently God's got his hand on my life and that's why the devil's fighting so hard so we had a business meeting up there and the business meeting was terrible and the people were ready to fistfight in the business meeting which was a Sunday afternoon and I just got up put on my coat it was in the wintertime and told everybody I said the business meeting is adjourned but if you still want to continue I won't be here as the president the corporation to conduct the business but if y'all want to fight go ahead I'm sure somebody'll referee I said but I'm not gonna stay here in referee I'm going to the house and I'll be back here after a while for church but I'm going to the house and I'm gonna get ready for service after a while you all do what you got to do so it was so bad and people threatened me so much I began to save affidavits I began to get people to sign affidavits because I sprayed somebody's gonna sue me or whatever and I began to get people to sign affidavits that they were witness to this that in the other so I go to Brownsville I'll leave the church there and I got voted in as a pastor Brownsville in 1982 he's running a little bit less than 300 people in 1982 when I moved from Indiana down to Brownsville to Pensacola we bought a house and I had an old safe in my closet and I had all those memorabilia from those business meetings and those all those signed affidavits in that safe so I was in Brownsville praying one day when a Tuesday hadn't been at the church long but I was in there praying always going in the daytime a lot of times between appointments and I'd walk around in prayer in Brownsville which was then the chapel and I was in there and I said oh oh Lord I said lord I ask you to sit a revival so hungry lord I want your presence so bad I said Lord I want you to send your spirit I believe your Lord for revival I'm so hungry I want you more than the food I eat Lord send your presence and I heard the Lord say I would like to but you've got to clean your safe out first and I will immediately begin to think well my safe what is in my safe and then I remember I had all those things am i safe all those mementos and all those records and all those things that people had said and done to me the Lord said you got to get rid of it and I went home and I burned everything of my safe I'll get rid of everything that I had and I believe that day if I hadn't have got rid of that I believe it wouldn't have hindered revival from coming to Brownsville because I kept records of every satanic attack that I went through but here's one thing the Lord said to me and I want to leave this with you tonight here's one of the things the Lord said to me and I never forgot it and I hope you'll never forget it I said Lord how long because it got to where my tax would be at first in my early ministry to be like days and sometimes weeks then after a while it went from weeks into months and then during the Brownsville revival I got the West going through attacks that would last about two years each major attack I'm talking about major attacks of the devil that would last about two years serious attacks some time I've been on the platform in the world would be in Sutton coming in the church where I pastored I build the platform of my own church I wouldn't hardly know my name isn't such a under such a tag and I said God lord help me help me what's going on and here's what the Lord said to me he said son just like when you go through grocery store and you pick up a package of baloney he said it's got an expiration date on that baloney and he said when you see that expiration date you know after this time it's lost his potency it won't be any more good he said every attack you go through has a shelf life here's what the Lord said he said every attack you go through has a shelf life and he said whenever you're going through that it feels like it'll never end it feels like it's endless it feels like it's so serious it's gonna take you out it feels like you're gonna have your name line it feels like your ministries don't come to an end oh my god Oh Lord this is so strong father help me and then after it expires after the trial expires and I'm not in that trial anymore and I get two or three weeks under my belt I look back on that attack I can't hardly remember the names of the people that followed me I can't hardly remember the details and what I just got through going through why because the shelf life it expired it's no longer got any power over me I'm telling you I don't care what you're going through it has a time period and that time period is about to expire somebody shout Amen well some of the things I went through I mean I wake up in the middle of the night and it be stabbing my mind oh the things they said and I can remember the expressions on their face and it was so bad and I was in the middle of that potency of that thing it still has shelf-life and when the Holy Spirit spoke that to me and he said when that thing's shelf-life expires he said that thing will lose power over you it'll lose its potency it won't mean to you when you come through that what it meant when he's going through that and the Holy Spirit said watch what I'm telling you and when I came out on the other side it was just a matter of days or a few weeks like right now if you'd put it gun to my head I couldn't tell you what those people look like to this day I can't even remember what their face looked like if you put a gun to my head and said tell me the details of what happened back then I couldn't tell you the details I remember that situation in the office but I couldn't tell you the details of those things that happen because the shelf life had expired so let me leave this with you I know I've been going a long time but let me just say this to you whatever you going through it seems right now like it's endless it seems right now like it will always be like this this is fixed the dies cast but I'm here to tell you that's not the way it's gonna be it's not the way it's going to be promised you let me give you the last point after I went through battle after battle and the Lord begin to give me these messages about satanic attack 10 things you didn't know about satanic attack I said the Holy Spirit helped me and give me something that for your people that they really need to hear to close this thing out and boy did he ever want you to look at this you remember when Jesus was in Gethsemane and his sweat turned to blood you remember that now listen that was not a fake thing that he went through it was really real see he was the maker of mankind so he understands the anatomy he understands the spinal system the nervous system he understands the nerve endings he knew they were going to beat the ever-loving life out of him he knew there's gonna spit on him slap him beat him cuss him beat him to the meat was gonna leave the rib cage and they was gonna stab him with a spear up through his heart he knew all that was coming it was dead it was designed for him before the foundations of the world so the Bible says that when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane he said angels came and ministered to him you remember when Jesus was in the wilderness and he's been tempted to the devil you remember that and the Bible says after he passed to all the temptations it said the devil left him and behold angels came and ministered to him so two major things that Jesus went through now listen to me carefully two major things Jesus went through in the garden Gethsemane he said when he's picked up that Cup he said Lord if it's possible let it past but he said if not and he drank it and he knew what he was about to face and you know he was like this he knew what was coming and angels had to come minister to the Son of God then in the wilderness after he went through that temptation which was very real the Bible said the devil left him and after the devil left here comes these angels again come in there to minister to him I have a question I want to ask you if Jesus needed angels to minister to him what makes you so special that you don't need that when you go from the time and here's what the Lord said to me here's what the Lord said to me he said tell my people that when they go through an attack I see it my Holy Spirit is there to comfort my Holy Spirit is there to strengthen but he said never rule out that my angels are also there to touch you with that touch so I went through that thing in Indiana it was so bad it got so bad my my chat got so bad I told Burton I said let's go to your mother's so we went down to Columbus Georgia to her mother's her daddy was in the Army at Columbus Georgia Fort Benton so when we got down there with our two boys I told Brenda I said well Brenda you know when I can't hear any other way I fast I said I'm gonna go in that extra bedroom your mother's I'm gonna close the door and I said I'm not gonna eat or drink until I hear from heaven and I said I don't know how long I'll be in there if I remember correctly I hope my memory serves me correctly but I went in there and I locked the door and I didn't eat a drink I can't remember for how many days I seemed like it was 2:00 or 4:00 I was under such attack I couldn't even pray I couldn't keep my mind straight to pray and when I did try to say something in prayer it seemed like it wasn't getting past the mattress but I remember I laid awake all night one Wednesday night in that bed on top of that bed didn't cover up and just laid across the bed my clothes somehow in the night I felt the angels of the Lord touch me I never saw him never heard him I just felt a touch and when the Lord touched me I snatch the dorm I said wamba let's go back to Indiana hallelujah God touched me and he touched me with those angels you may never see them you may never hear them you may never even feel them touch you but you're going to reach a place where something's going to touch you and God is gonna let angels come and minister to you and strengthen you and after they ministered to Jesus Jesus could go to Calvary and take all the devil this out and whenever he faced that cup he can take whatever the devil's in his way we must have divine assistance in times of testing and trial come on standing your feet and let's praise God lift your voice up with me everybody whoa come on praise him praise him like you ought to be praised [Applause] look I don't know who you are I don't know you I I know a few faces here just to very few faces but most of you overwhelmingly I don't know you but I can't help but believe even though I didn't finish the message I just covered several points I can't help but believe I've covered enough points to touch some of you and God speaking to some idea about what you're going through but let me say this to you if you're going through an attack don't despise that attack because as soon as this is over God's major blessings is going to come upon you doors are going to open before you doors whose hinges have been so rusty from lack of use that they're going to creak when they open but they will open to you because you pass this test and you've gone through this trial I just preached a message at my church about two Sundays ago are you being tested and the bottom line is right now there's a lot of God's people going through tests you're not going through a temptation but you're going through a test I encourage you to stay steadfast and a holdfast God will bring you through this thing and when he does hinges and doors that's never opened you before will old suddenly the rush will begin to creak and fall off of it and flake off of it and those doors will finally open that God's promised you can you shout amen hey if it's okay brother Perry I'd like to pray for if some of the people is that okay I want you to put those that CV on back there for me and those of you here you know if you if something has been said tonight but touched you or that you can relate to if you going through something you're under attack are you just emerging from one or you feel like you're in the throes of one or you feel like you're headed into one I want you to come from where you are just move forward we're gonna lay hands on you and pray for you they're gonna put on some of the lindell's music and I just like to take an opportunity to just lay hands along and pray for you so if you will come let's do that right now cut it up
