John Deere 4440 Tractor Planting Corn near Arcanum Ohio

[Music] welcome to the farmand mic YouTube channel a channel that I started back in 2012 and thanks to you has now grown to over 175,000 subscribers has almost 100 million total views with 11 million hours of watch time my channel is mostly a farming Channel but I do also share some of my off-road Adventures such as snowmobiling ATV riding and much more thanks for coming along for the ride and I will continue to bring new content to the channel hey everyone welcome back for another 2024 corn planting video in this video I am just south of Arcanum Ohio just down the road from my house with a local farm that is out here planting corn with his John Deere 4440 tractor and deer 12 rorn planter I caught this Farmer in the field with his 4440 right before it got dark but anyways got enough footage for a nice short little video of this tractor from the past just a little quick history on the John Deere 4440 the 4440 was built from 1978 to 1982 in waterl Iowa this was part of the John Deere iron series tractor line and actually the 4440 was the most popular model of the Iron Horse Series these were powered with a 7.6 L 6-cylinder John Deere diesel engine and the 4440 was rated at around 130 PT to horsepower depending on how these tractors were equipped there was a couple different transmission options these tractors could have sold anywhere back in the day from 38,000 up to just over 45,000 less price as you can see this tractor is in very nice shape for its age it's well taken care of this same Farm also has a John Deere 4640 that he plants soybeans with and he was going to be running that the very next day unfortunately things didn't work out and I was unable to film it but hey we'll get that sometime in the future [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] w a [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] a [Music] I'm [Music] and that's about going to wrap up this video thank you very much for watching feel free to like comment and subscribe and all that good stuff and we'll see you on the next video
