ah he's done a lot of TV and film big-time projects like My Name Is Earl The Longest Yard spider-man 2 and on but one of the most compelling things about our next guest is his own story actor and comedian joi Diaz good morning thanks nice to meet you no drama great to be in Omaha you've been dome off a few time before performed here no no I used to live in Boulder oh you did oh yeah I would come from Michigan I would always cut through a brokedown Oglala was Boulder like for a guy like you though you don't seem like a bowler guy no I don't wear sandals you know I'm not gluten-free Boulder was different at the time it was 30 years ago and I wanted to always get out of the East Coast I wasn't really enamored that much of it I wanted to see more but he says go west young man so I came out to Boulder used to come up he's go to Wyoming the ski so it was a different adventure I liked it didn't your your roots and comedy were planted in Colorado Colorado right I feel like your start is a little bit unconventional ways liked it and I Ike I didn't go to shows or anything but I liked it and then I got in trouble and the projector would break on some nights and instead of you know convicted the projector where they were yet you and the guys were staying for a while what was the projector would break so they go go up there talk while they're fixing the projector and I would just go up to him and goof on the people look at this guy's hair and then one day a librarian who was in that for killing his wife and her boyfriend he was like listen man you got a talent you got to do this and I'm like what are you talking about and he goes you got to give stand-up a try so it took me about three years to get the courage up and I went down and it's suddenly my 25th anniversary next weeks that's great I love that story but there's another a personal story that I think is is cool and it's about you and your wife you'd been married four years seenu's hadn't started a family nothing would happen I thought I was damaged goods we weren't try it it wasn't happening so we just moved on with our lives we got cats we adopted like six strays my wife and then one day she's not going on she's like you knocked me up well what happened was I had knee surgery and I went to GNC I got the protein powder so between the protein pod and my wife got me into yoga so we would do date night on Tuesday nights and go to yoga and then I have the protein powder so I still buy that protein where people are like I'm getting off of that now if I'm gonna have a baby I'm an expert in this stuff if you want if you want to get your wife pregnant you got to do squats and be protein powder just squat and deadlift get everything down below you do ten Dedalus you leave their hot so you're here you are early 15:53 little baby in love with the whole daycare the whole like I watch Bubble Guppies i watch i watch Jackie the Pirates you know I think they care though thinking the other parents are a little bit younger than you yeah I mean do you talk to all that we love your granddaughter you are totally like urg here with us this morning but your shows are more edgy and you're honest about it if your PC my show is probably not for you do not go nothing maybe we have used naughty words heavy-duty words I think opieop bring some protein powder tomorrow to shows as well call the food the bone phone yeah they took it away so I can't three I've been saying it for six years oh wait Colleen anyway funny bone Omaha Commons website you get the phone over there oh thank you Joey breaking meet you thank you I love it we
