JIMMY NEUTRON LORE (is anybody good??)

puking Pluto is just one of Jimmy Neutron's many catchphrases but let's think about this why would Pluto be puking is it because it lost its Planet status is it because it's so small and puny and weak it's lashing out it's revolted by its own insignificance as many of the characters in the show are this is just one of the many existential crises this show presents us with it's all downhill from here but lovers welcome back to another lore video usually I say this is the series where we explore shows no one else is brave enough to but this time we're switching it up because Jimmy Neutron is not as obscure as the other shows we've covered or at least I don't think it is because it was a huge staple of my childhood but maybe that's big-headed of me to assume you really just say that to my face you little should get [ __ ] but it's actually not just my own experience that enforces this from matpat's GrubHub Jimmy Neutron theories to Jordan fringe's many videos this show has a lot more content on it than any of the other ones we've watched so why this one let's address the elephant in the room Yep this very stupid short where I point out hidden innuendos and Jimmy Neutron has the most views on my channel and the worst comment section holy [ __ ] I pissed off so many people and I don't know how so naturally this is part two to the controversy but I'm going to be watching the whole series so I can explain the world what I don't understand and I'll let you know if any characters are getting freaky again the Jimmy Neutron boy Genius movie came out in 2001 and it premiered in theaters before airing on the Nickelodeon channel it was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated feature losing to Shrek which you know Fair 2001 was a great year for movies I guess the television series aired from 2002 to 2006 with a total of three seasons now before we get into the specifics of characters Dynamics and philosophy let's first talk about this Show's origins in the very short demo animation from 1995 Jimmy's name was originally Johnny Quasar and he's in a rocket with similar colors but with a Q instead his robot dog Goddard has the same name and appearance and his signature catchphrase gotta blast stayed the same a recurring theme you'll see with the these pitches is that the Creator had a very clear idea for this series in the pilot from 1998 when I was born what you want a [ __ ] medal the air to that of the movie we just kept improving as the technology and budget did during the official release Carl had a massive glow up though the titular character Jimmy Neutron full name James Isaac neutron son of Judy and Hugh is something of a boy genius and he won't hesitate to remind you constantly he lives in retroville which is apparently in Texas which from what I've heard intelligence can go completely overlooked there so that's a fun opposing Force I guess he creates inventions and concoctions in his Clubhouse lab the best of which being his dog Goddard Goddard is so lovable it's stupid he may be a robot but I truly believe he has the biggest heart of the series and I don't just say that because I love dogs like I don't love all dog characters spot from roly polioli he's basic all right Goddard is just the goat I thought you said he was a dog Carl wieser is one of Jimmy's best friends he has a multitude of allergies and health problems one of which being that his back always gives out he's constantly exclaiming in pain ow my scapula which I thought was a lot funnier before I aged I hate that I relate to this kid my scapula feels like crapula and his main interest is llamas you'll soon see that almost every character is fixated on something as the series progresses he tends to have crushes on older women before his main crush on Jimmy's mom Judy happens he actually mentioned finding his teacher Miss foul attractive the kid has taste I just wish he wouldn't be so [ __ ] creepy about it she and his Jimmy's other best friend and other best friend is right I feel bad for this kid because upon this rewatch I discovered that Jimmy and Carl are way closer to each other than either of them are with Sheen something else I never processed is that Sheen is older than all the other kids while they're like 10 or 11 Sheen is 13 because he's been held back two or three times his fixation is with the fictional superhero ultralord he has a lot of energy and struggles to pay attention Cindy is a friend of me to the boys and her main Drive is being Jimmy's rival she wants to be just as smart and constantly berates belittles and challenges him which is energy Jimmy gives right back she was the only character to have a style chain between the movie and the series in the movie in the promotional shorts prior to the movie she had two ponytails and wore all pink wearers in the series she has one ponytail and wears green according to the Jimmy Neutron Wiki Keith Alcorn explains that this change was made to make her look older as the series takes place a year after the movie Libby is Cindy's best friend enjoys music and although she enjoys teasing the boys with Cindy she's not as stubborn as Cindy is and is just here for a good time so if Cindy is going out of her way to prove a point like in Jimmy on ice when she was staying in her pool regardless of it being freezing out Libby will hang out with the boys she's only a follower when she can have fun following okay in the season one finale beach party mummy Libby's appearance changes from bang and Bun to braids and I remember when I saw this as a kid I got so hyped I adored and still adore her makeover Jimmy's dad Hugh is not the brightest but he has a go with the flow attitude and an optimistic view on life he also loves ducks and Pie and the music they play when he gives Jimmy a fatherly talk that usually doesn't make sense always makes me cackle I swear it's always something like you see Jimbo back in my day we didn't have a range of ice cream flavors so did the yellow snow look more appealing yes just an absolutely silly concerning guy Jimmy's mom Judy is supportive of everything except for Hugh's ventriloquism Hobby and cleans to a wild degree now that you understand all the main characters in their most basic form let's take a look at my notes from the movie whip out the popcorn because I'm about to Neutron spleen the most notable moments in this movie alright we see the first Brain Blast here which is when Jimmy commands his brain to think think and then we get this crazy Zoomin shot in his ear we see the innards of the child's brain watches thought process play out before he comes to the inevitable solution in this very first Brain Blast he actually thinks the Brain Blast quote in his head which is very different from the other times in the series where he just completely lost his shame and screams it out loud big brain Big Boy branding one of the very first inventions we see is this laser that brushes the plaque off of his teeth and I'm sorry can I be frank sure hello Frank no can I be honest the futuristic brushing is whack you have to brush your tongue too which we didn't see him do which means that Jimmy Neutron is stinky he probably smells like shade let me confirm with my dentist brother that boy's gonna have dentures in five years on a less critical note this bubblegum transportation thing is the coolest and they knew it because they even backed the sea scene with another version of the theme song positively magical Miss fowl being shrunk down was supposed to be a funny goofy haha but this caterpillar is genuinely terrifying and it didn't even have to be in the movie they prided themselves in making the most nightmare inducing [ __ ] in the show and even more upsetting scene is during the yokian's introduction King gubat ate this cute creature and I understand they did that just to establish like he's evil but have you considered that it makes me sad have you considered that I don't like it and I'm crying why am I crying they're not real I'm Gonna Save him it's not canon if I don't want it to be I will [ __ ] rescue you on a lighter note look at this clip and tell me what's wrong with it Mom and Dad right here Mom Dad why did Jimmy point at the photo wrong I thought you were supposed to be a genius Boop boop boop so what I find really fascinating about this movie is that the real conflict doesn't arise until halfway through but somehow it doesn't feel like it's being dragged out great way to get us invested in the world and characters also the soundtrack [Music] too good also them taking the theme park rides and turning them into rocket ships are you kidding me that's the okians we discover they worship this giant alien chicken who is pultra the god of wrath they explained that this year the human sacrifice will feature actual humans which means two things one they do this every year and two they're aware of the existence of humans before they met them they basically confirmed this they said they just didn't have the coordinates to Earth until Jimmy's space toaster which is very appropriate considering when everyone else found out that this was Jimmy's fault he was toast anyway our definition of God is a superhuman being or Spirit Worship is having some power over nature or Fortune but the way they deal with poultra seems more similar to how they dealt with the Minotaur in Greek mythology basically in the story The Minotaur was put in a maze known as a labyrinth to keep him away from everybody the Minotaur remained in The Labyrinth with annual offerings for it to eat the Minotaur though is seen as a creature or beast and not a God so I'm wondering why poultra is a God is a God to them anything powerful that strikes fear would the Minotaur be a god to them or does pultra offer them something or represent wrath in the way Aries represented War the thing with Aries though is that in Greek mythology for the most part he really wasn't worshiped he was more so feared the number of questions I had doubled when I saw during the ritual culture was inside an egg they were incubating this giant egg dude is poultry reborn every year or is it more like a a house or a cocoon for it until it emerges very confusing Jimmy Neutron's a [ __ ] the way Jimmy comes across in the movie is way more empathetic than he is in the series I'll give you some examples and tell you why I think Jimmy Neutron is playing God and His Fall From Grace I started to notice Jimmy's recklessness even more in the series now in the movie he didn't weigh the risks of contacting an alien species but it seems like it came more from a place of ignorance thinking that they would be nice after all he is a child so I don't fault him for that but in the series it seemed like it came more from a place of arrogance and just not caring for the well-being of others let me put it this way in the episode robot Jimmy tells his parents he wants a little brother and his parents are horrified at the prospect of having another child let's look at the reasons why firstly Jimmy has a big head so childbirth probably wasn't easy for them but that's not his fault moving on to the second reason prior to this conversation Judy was just asking if Jimmy got in trouble with the law or government again so they probably already have their hands full with this high IQ little liability thirdly one of the reasons why Jimmy wants a little brother is for the child to be a lab rat to quote Jimmy's words exactly he can do the experiments that are too dangerous for Carl we'll get back to his treatment of Carl let's focus on the family for now in the season one episode granny baby he's seen giving his grandma an age reversing serum that we did not see him testing out this could have have been an assassination attempt there's also a flashback of when he made his grandmother magnetic what was the reason for that what could have possibly been the reason for that in Jimmy's world we are all his little too hard on him because as far as we know he only excels scientifically and academically so put all of this knowledge into somebody who hasn't emotionally matured yet and naturally weight scratched that he literally spiked her medication in the episode I dream of Carl Carl's dreams reveal a lot about how he feels dream Carl wants to make Jimmy his monkey boy and do experiments on him don't you see that's what Jimmy does to Carl Carl's subconscious is trying to take his power back I wonder if this contract seen in the episode would confirm my suspicions I Jimmy Neutron fully agreed to succumb to the wills and desires of Master Carl wieser the stated party will be required to participate in any activity sponsored by Carl Louisa and will remain a submissive subject to any scientific experiments the stated party warrants no matter how humiliating demeaning ridiculous or dangerously activities the stated party will not breach any of the warranties herein I mean couldn't have been more explicit than that dream Carl even calls Jimmy's parents his with dream Judy even stating that they'd never have a kid as dim-witted as Jimmy which remember represents how Carl feels about himself and how other people perceive him in the very next episode Jimmy on ice this theme continues take a look at this clip Carl what Coral fears Jimmy when I was a child I would always get sad at how quickly retroville would turn on Jimmy but now in my wise old age I realize that this is just the consequences of his own actions sometimes we'll get into the episodes that Force us to empathize with Jimmy later in the movie as I said he came across way more sympathetically but I'd argue that the events in the movie made him who he is now because I believe he thinks as long as I fix a problem everything is okay even if I cause the problem in substitute creature it's even revealed that he has and this is in his own words Town saving music this is a game to him in Phantom of retro land here's another example of Jimmy being very forceful to Carl when Carl doesn't want to do something I can't come with you tonight as I as I decided to join the French Foreign Legion the decision I do not make lightly as I have hi Jimmy I thought you said 11 30. well you'd have surely been on a plane to Algeria by then Carl this kid is scared for his life season one episode 10 a crunch time Jimmy accidentally gets people addicted to this candy and that he word for word I'm not joking says this let the exploitation begin orientation in mice on the hamster we discovered that Jimmy programmed Goddard with predator instincts meaning Goddard will hunt after small animals as we know real animals will prey on others for food but Goddard eats lug nuts why did Jimmy program this season 1 episode 12 B A wilderness oh wow blackmail very cool Jimmy also in the same episode Hugh exclaims this is all Jimmy's fault which is played for laughs but he was a thousand percent right Jimmy's Tech that he brought even though he said do not bring your technology on this camping trip exploded destroying part of the forest because Hugh unplugged it while it was turned on I think the logic of this joke is that Jimmy was trying to warn his dad not to unplug it when everything's turned on but in Hugh's defense he was angry at Jimmy for deliberately disobeying him and what other electronical device explodes when you unplug it Jimmy's inventions aren't [ __ ] sometimes that wasn't his fault that was all Jimmy's fault as you said in the episode see Jimmy run Jimmy assaults people on the playground because he's running so fast no one can see him even going so far as to say think of what I can do think of what I shouldn't do but will do during the opening of the eggpire Strikes Back part 1 Jimmy sends Carl to test this burp powered jet pack with the massive oversight of not knowing and not programming a Landing feature Jimmy did not think about how his friend would return back to Earth after sending him in the sky as a guinea pig to test a jet pack after season one he seems to be a bit more level-headed but still has some anger issues and will say some pretty threatening stuff occasionally like in win lose Kaboom when he says to Sheen remind me to remove what's left of your brain later this too either subsides or I got used to it but let's take this big-headedness and compare it to other child inventors I don't know let's say Phineas and Ferb Jimmy needs everyone to know how smart he is meanwhile Phineas and Ferb just let their actions speak for themselves Phineas and Ferb's main objective is to just have fun with their friends they never seem power hungry with this harsh analysis you're probably thinking I'm calling Jimmy Neutron a jerk and I am but don't be confused the show itself takes on a much darker tone this show is truly like Phineas and Ferb's evil or more edgy clone in just a bit I'll get into how no character is morally good but first let's take a look at some of these quirky references they throw in please show will give a lot of love to different TV shows and movies whether it's just a quote or a full-blown parody here are the ones that stuck out to me but I'm sure there's a lot more that went over my head firstly in the very first episode when Pants Attack the parody Alfred Hitchcock's the birds with Judy Neutron just spells out for all the 2000s kids that won't appreciate it until later foreign [Music] in the episode robot when they're creating robot Goddard quotes Igor from Frankenstein season 1 episode 4B time is money they travel in a phone booth which feels like a reference to Doctor Who in the same episode Carl greets someone with clat tuberada nicto which is an alien phrase from the 1951 science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still he also did this as he said it this is one of the many times they flashed the Vulcan greeting from Star Trek and fun fact my hand hurts like hell I feel like I'm gonna get carpal tunnel and die when I do that in the episode maximum Hue there's a matrix reference with how Hugh Dodges the marshmallows there's a lot of Peanuts Charlie Brown dancing throughout like they did this in more than one episode when they go back in time Sheen says Yabba Dabba Doo referencing Flintstones naturally the whole Jet Fusion character is a James Bond parody and in the operation Jet Fusion special They also put a pineapple under the sea and right after there's a Pac-Man bit they were just throwing everything at the wall season 2 episode 17 Men at Work this red lens that ends up turning on humanity is a reference to Hal 9000 from 2001 Space Odyssey I believe the Twinkies are a Gremlins parody and this thing that attacked Carl is the Facehugger from alien and lastly in the season 3 episode The Tomorrow boys Carl dressed up like Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back wasn't that fun now let's talk about how every single character is morally gray everyone is a [ __ ] so usually when Jimmy is not the one completely in the wrong he'll actually act as the moral compass and someone else or everybody else will act like menaces it's actually a pretty effective way to get people or at the very least me to empathize with the big-headed [ __ ] for example in season 2 episode 2 sorry wrong era after Hugh has access to the remote that rewinds and fast forwards people he acts a lot more Reckless and chaotic than usual not caring about the well-being of others just enjoying the entertainment and power going so far as to make some woman experience giving birth again and again and again just for shits and giggles he even States this is better than Pi which is High Praise from you [ __ ] it's High Praise for most people but especially Hugh it makes me wonder if access to this high tech is good for the people of retroville regardless of Jimmy in the episode The Mighty Weezer Jimmy gives the Weezer family pills to be healthy and not in pain all the time something he could have done at any time during the series but only did when the Weezer family's health problems were inconvenient for him anyway sorry this isn't that Jimmy is an [ __ ] section when they were given these pills Carl and his family were more than just healthy they had super strength and super parkour oh my God he on X Games mode now they feel Invincible what's strange is every time people are given a power Advantage they didn't have before they turn into [ __ ] Sheena and Jimmy were just trying to talk to the Weezer parents and the Weezer parents lifted up both of them span them on their finger like they were a basketball and threw them in the dumpster for no reason straight power tripping why are they all of a sudden just rude nasty people is mediocrity or just being average the only way to be personable is this why celebrities are constantly disappointing us the teacher Miss fowl is usually very nice despite being abused by all of the children but will then make it a point to make sure everyone knows that Sheen is her least favorite despite him probably being the nicest to her in beach party mummy when Libby is the one finally in the spotlight Cindy is seen constantly rolling her eyes and making sarcastic remarks that's not even the worst of what Cindy's done I just point this out because Libby is her best friend and Libby is usually so supportive of Cindy when Sheen becomes a genius more like genius in the episode Sheen's brain he turns evil destroying the town and making people bend to his will this invention only made his IQ grow this show keeps making a clear link to exceptionalism and intelligence to being a bad person in lady sings the news Libby is now blackmailing people because she has a popular gossip section there hasn't been one instance in the show where somebody gaining power led to the general public being happy it's always seen as a negative thing there are some big differences season to season season one mostly had shorter episodes and revolved almost always on Jimmy fixing the issues he caused season two was the start of more frequent longer episodes it introduced more villains and its season finale when loose Kaboom was longer than the movie season 3 to me felt the most fanfici really throwing [ __ ] at the wall and having more moments dedicated to the romancy ships also the intro changes in season three not only do the visuals change but there's no help from Carl which is really unfortunate because it feels really empty without that however a good change is Libby is added to the logo section which should have been the case from the start because she's always been a main character let's talk about all the villains their introductions and how they ended up so the movie right off the bat introduced us to the yokians which I already talked a bit about there's King gubat and his younger brother slash assistant Uber they returned in episode 15 of season 1 the egg pyre strikes back where they turn everyone in retroville against Jimmy through bribery that's literally all it takes for people to forgive them like sure you almost wiped us all out but look at this little space gift this is as you can see one of those empathizing with Jimmy episodes because while he's being the clear voice of reason everyone else is just confidently [ __ ] all over him also there's this weird Lord drop where the yokians mention Christmas on their Planet how is their Christianity on their planet did potra's child die for our sins what are you talking about we also find out about their motive they actually don't care about the Earth they are literally just doing this for the pettiest reason they want to get back at Jimmy probably because he ruined the human sacrifice which in turn made pultra abandon the yokians and go to another planet to be worshiped this is why they're using Jimmy's regenerator to make a brand new pultra long story short they defeat the second poacher by giving her fizzy drinks to make her burp the logic behind this is that chickens can't burp so she just exploded but I looked it up and chickens can burp so the Nanobots are introduced in the episode Safety First their whole reoccurring shtick is that they try and follow Jimmy's orders but they go so overboard and destroy the whole town so this is a threat Jimmy made himself what interests me about them is that they almost always turn on each other and they really never question Jimmy or get angry with him Jimmy their creator keeps them locked up in like a high security prison here's my problem with this Jimmy notices there's something wrong with the Nanobots and gives them an upgrade two eyes woohoo so he takes that risk and inner turn of the nanopots while they're searching for error they start Thanos snapping people left and right whose fault is that I would say it's their creators not theirs their last appearance is in season three and this is when I really start to feel bad for them because at this point why is Jimmy keeping them alive why is he putting them through that torture and also taking that risk himself Jimmy could just as easily shut them down and then when he finally gets their controls down restore their Consciousness Professor calamities is one of the main villains we meet him in season 1 episode 14 B Professor calamitus I presume the episode open with calamitous finding out about Jimmy Neutron through the newspapers this kid's reputation brings a lot of enemies his way the professor's weakness is that he can never finish no I'm serious he can never finish his sentences his Foods his plans what were you guys thinking we also find out that Finbar calamitous was a student of Miss fowl and calamities is old as [ __ ] so how old is Miss foul we'll get back to that mystery later calaminus is seen again in the Special Operation Jet Fusion where we meet his daughter beautiful gorgeous beautiful gorgeous is also a villain thanks to her dad but she laments that she never wanted to be a villain she always wanted to be a and then she'd get cut off also she claims she doesn't need to listen to her dad and act all rebellious but like if you didn't need to listen to him why are you stuck working for him it is revealed in season 3 episode 10 my big fat spy wedding that her real dream was to put the aglets on the end of shoelaces or at least that's what she tells a love sick jet fusion in this episode beautiful gorgeous got out of her 45-year sentence 45 years early on very good behavior when they were explaining she got out on very good behavior they showed this picture of her kissing a cop this feels like commentary somehow in this episode she's about to marry jet Fusion but still tries to take down Jimmy Neutron this is why I don't believe her when she complains about her life because at this point her dad is in prison he's not the one putting her up to this this is her own decision during the season 2 premiere A Beautiful Mind we meet the space Bandits six travoltron and tea oh my God I just realized that travoltron is a parody of John Travolta I literally only heard it when I said the name travoltron out loud I was too distracted at the fact that t is a Mr T parody which not only shows how old this show is but it's also still so Random even when it came out okay I looked it up because I was like if two of them are parodies the other one has to be a parody of someone else right so apparently zix is a caricature of John Lovitz love it but I I don't know who that is I'm gonna show how uncultured I am right now at the very end of the episode Men at Work the space Bandits are seen stealing the mcspanky's restaurant and using it as a new spaceship and now they're targeting the manager's skeet who they think is the captain a plot that never really came to fruition then they come back in season three episode 12 The Incredible Shrinking town where they try and sell the shrunken people of retravil as toys to Alien Children this plan fails and at the end of the episode Sheena Is seen playing with the shrunken version of the space Bandits as dolls but we never saw them Get shrunk so it really comes out of left field it also didn't last because we see them again regular size and we didn't get to see how they escaped they don't even talk about it Season 2 Episode 15 the junk man cometh is the first appearance of the junk man who stole brobot's family also this shot of the eyes on the back of his head freaked me the hell out when this episode came out Goddard also falls in love with his space dog and I thought we saw more of him but we don't actually see him again until the league of villains which I'm going to be talking about later billion dollar boy is eustace's Introduction basically he's a spoiled rich kid that tried to kill Goddard and tried to bribe Jimmy's friends to betray him which almost worked really I'm telling you the morals of these characters garbage he also beats up his Butler every time he's disappointed when things don't go his way we see him again in King of Mars where he convinces Cindy that he would never neglect her like Jimmy does and she falls for it solely to make Jimmy jealous but then oh my gosh Eustis betrays her it's almost as if he's evil or something Jimmy cloned himself in the episode send in the Clones but each clone has a different personality like in that one Teen Titans episode with the Raven anyway Jimmy's clones are happy sad romantic cool funny and evil so this is the one we're gonna be talking about in this debut the evil one seemed to just be pranking people but when Jimmy Froze all the other clones the evil one got away he returned in the episode The Trouble with clones and in the beginning he was just chaotic again even creating the iconic shoe up shoe up oh ain't no loving my man chew up chew up ain't no never mind so after the funny goofy pranks he actually clones the entirety of Earth to make an evil earth clone and as he's doing this the original Earth is fading away and dying pretty high stakes and he also kicks a squirrel [ __ ] this guy he's the most evil I'm gonna say it we're at the end of season two now and in the episode win lose Kaboom a message is sent to Earth and Jimmy's perception of the aliens that sent this message prior to meeting them was the following quote this species is forward to Advanced for violence but if there's one thing we've learned from Jimmy Neutron is more brains more problems so I guess I'm safe enter stage left the omnipowerful their words not mine meldar Prime he's the host of Intergalactic Showdown the show where your planet's life is on the line his whole reign of terror is ended within this special and we never see him again which I think is very disappointing because he's a very fun villain in the season 3 episode clash of the cousins we see where boss baby got their inspiration from it's Jimmy's Evil Genius baby cousin Eddie oh this is a cousin he has on his side which means the genius Gene is actually on Hugh's side unless there's also one in Judy's side of the family which would make sense considering it's probably a recessive trait Grandma taters in the episode one of us hypnotizes people to be happy all the time at first it seems like she's just doing this because she's a sweet but out of touch old lady but turns out she's a strange alien her objective is still unknown although the happy zombies were kind of like her Army so I'm guessing this was just another elaborate way for an alien species to try and take over Earth Dr moist aside from just having a terrible name is a scientist Jimmy looked up to little did Jimmy know he's actually a paranoid old coot hiding away in the supposedly haunted Bahama quadrangle turning anyone who passes through into algae men because he thinks people are spying on him at the end of season 3 the league of villains is formed the league includes King gubot beautiful gorgeous Professor calamitous Cousin Eddie the junk man the space Bandits Grandma Tater and Eustace why is Eustace there and not evil Jimmy they really made evil Jimmy say I'll be back just for the series to be canceled also King gubat's brother is no longer his assistant and just isn't in the episode but this happened off screen so this absence is very strange calamitous is weirdly put on the back burner as king gubat orders them all around the baby keeps trying to flirt with beautiful gorgeous a joke that Never Lands I would have written this episode very differently I would have made evil Jimmy the leader for starters and I would have given each of the villains more of a chance to shine two things that I did think were very fun were the space Bandits Redemption Arc and when the Love Potion made beautiful gorgeous and the junk man fall in love although it was very awkward when professor calamitus as her father tried to get in between them as they were making out and yank them apart from each other all the wild beautiful gorgeous is like trying to climb over him to keep sucking face with the junk man it was it was so uncomfortable the episode ends with all of the villains being stuck in the Cretaceous Period obviously not including the space Bandits because they were deemed yay there are a lot of background characters that fascinate me let's start with Terry the bully his existence confuses me his first appearance was in safety first just to torment Jimmy and I just don't know why they introduced him when they already have a generic bully in Butch why couldn't Butch be the one to do this plot he also appears in a school crowd shot in retroville 9 which doesn't make any sense because at the end of the first episode he was introduced in Jimmy said that he moved to another school season 1 episode 13A party at neutrons was the first appearance of Betty She is Jimmy's side love interest solely introduced as a another obstacle for the inevitable Jimmy and Cindy ship and B as another motivator for Jimmy I wish they introduced her as the new girl or something because it just feels like they're trying to trick the audience like oh yeah don't Betty you know the one that's always been here the one that Jimmy has always had a crush on you know Betty that that's been here Sam from the candy Bar's first appearance also interests me because he looks nothing like how he does in the rest of the series and this isn't another character unlike the quirky clone wow perfect segue how do I do it Corky is a producer and talent scout caricature he wants to make everyone Superstars there's this man that looks suspiciously like him in the crowd shot maximum Hue and in Holly Jolly Jimmy the doppelganger is a cop so I didn't know if corki was living a double life or if this was just another Sam prototype design situation but my suspicions were cleared up in the episode win lose Kaboom take a look at this clip oh there's that guy again I wonder what oh my God oh my God there's quirky are they twins who is that guy Brittany is a supposed friend of Cindy and Libby they're seen talking singing dancing in the episode of beautiful mind when Cindy and Libby were showing off their jewelry Brittany says how gorgeous they are and Cindy snaps at Britney these gems are so gorgeous Back Off Britney you're vlogging the merchandise man Whitney looks like she's crying afterward distraught embarrassed crushed what is there Dynamic is she like their backup friend I feel terrible for this girl cool guy Nick Dean randomly becomes very accident prone as a reoccurring joke he is this universe's ow my leg guy from SpongeBob Miss fowl's extreme and undisclosed age is something that's brought up a handful of times but I have a theory in the episode make room for Daddio it is the 82nd annual Father's Day Folly and Miss fowl says she remembers the first one like it was yesterday in Attack of the Twinkies an episode I will talk much more about later miss fell mentions how she danced with President Coolidge the 30th President of the United States he was alive from 1872 to 1933. I'm guessing she danced with him at the cusp of his death and when she was 18 this would make her 91 in 2006 but she is sprightly she is active physically and in other ways not a judgment good for her she dated Thomas Edison when Jimmy brought that elephant killing invention stealing bastard back from the past she's also casually seeing Sam from the candy bar I'm a free Spirit I've got her fly in the breeze going wherever fate wins me now for physically She chased down a wild mechanical bull on a horse then jumped off that horse to kick the mechanical bull in the face causing it to explode she's a badass not your average 90 something year old but here's where things get interesting in the episode nightmare in retroville she offhandedly reveals that she was married to a werewolf now there are some parts of werewolf folklore that have werewolves living thousands of years perhaps she too was turned by her former lover in season 2's Jimmy for President we are introduced to bolby probably the character that aged the worst despite all the memes about him now when I noticed this other background character oh my God I did a double take spit take nip slip tit flip and [ __ ] so in win lose Kaboom we are introduced to many different species the brains the needle heads and the gorlocks they also have a live studio audience with the yokians and the Lima Bean monsters one of these creatures was last seen in I Dream of Jimmy in Carl's nightmare either this creature can travel through dreams or another one traveled through the portal but I think it goes much deeper than that in Sleepless in retro villain episode I actually talked about in my ranking Halloween specials video but like the old saying goes too much of a good thing in Jimmy Neutron it's gonna it's gonna end up being bad there is the most confusing ending ever it was Jimmy waking up from a nightmare but it was actually his dad waking up from a nightmare but it was actually Carl waking up from a nightmare but in the end it was the pizza waking up the pizza his sleepover machine created and he has a wife this begs the question are Jimmy's machines creating new universes and realities for this species it makes to live in time for me to tell you my favorite and least favorite parts of the series in I Dream of Jimmy the dream logic is so much fun to watch something I never noticed until this free watch is when Carl dreams of his classroom aside from just the llamas being there we see his classmates naturally Libby Cindy this guy we've never seen this girl we've never seen this the guy again the girl again the guy in the episode battle of the bands Jimmy invented instruments where if you can think it you can play it now listen guys the actual skill and practice of playing the instrument is the most impressive part but I have to give credit where credit is due Jimmy Sheen and Carl despite never having talked about music were able to think up an original tune for each of their instruments that also worked well together I'm sorry that's kind of impressive and this is the first episode where the conflict isn't about Jimmy's inventions weirdly enough the conflict is all of them fighting for clout a relatable struggle hey guys if you're watching till this point consider subscribing so I don't have to fight my friends for clout I will do it season 1 episode 7B Trading Faces Jimmy made an invention to read minds this invention malfunctions over the phone and during a thunderstorm however causing Jimmy and Cindy to switch bodies at the end of the episode Sheen Carl and Libby have to sort out Jimmy and Cindy's memories and skills into each body some of which they don't know like the ability to whistle who did that belong to it belongs to Cindy now Journey to the Center of Carl was an episode that has a really different impact after living through a pandemic Jimmy created sick patches for children to get out of school but the sick patch ends up dissolving into their skin so Jimmy has to make a vaccine to cure them I'm not even joking Jimmy started an epidemic in the episode make room for Daddio cool Hue makes me cringe so much he keeps performing the same song over and over again to a group of Elementary schoolers because how cool is that he calls Libby's Soul Sister don't do that and again the elementary school kids are all over him this cool Hue reminds me of some of the gym teachers I've had in my life and this is probably the worst insult I can think of I hated the Christmas special as a kid so I was really curious to see if I still did I think it was mostly because Jimmy was being an [ __ ] about the existence of Santa and I was a huge Santa Stan but if I'm being real Jimmy's verses were the best part of the song until this Christmas [Music] when Jimmy tells Carl Santa isn't real Carl begins sobbing and everyone sticks up for Coral which is really nice to see because usually I feel like they just laugh at him everyone calling out Jimmy was spectacular I think kidney just couldn't fathom like a problematic main character also sorry Hugh's Pure Day a pie and duck themed holiday is brilliant and I'm going to start celebrating it every year like I do with Clone High snowflake death so Jimmy accidentally electrocutes Santa and has to fill in to deliver presents Tim Allen style I still hate his attitude he almost kills the guy and is standing there in his workshop and is still like I don't buy it his attitude is rude and stinky and I laughed so hard when Santa said he was on the naughty list because he should be in the episode fundamonium I thought it was really creepy that they kept making this toy duck piss itself and I was trying to ignore it until the P saved the day I'm so uncomfortable somebody keep an eye on whoever wrote that one I'll just talk about the other really creepy episode to get them out of the Way season 3 episode 9A begins with Jimmy sending Carl to do his dirty work and when Carl is worried about his own safety Jimmy replies with oh don't worry I'm safe though an alien then attaches itself to Carl and impregnates him what I don't know how this episode got green lit but that's not even the worst part his butt is pregnant it's glowy and big and gelatinous and everyone's congratulating him everyone's so excited for him why are these parents excited that their 10 year old child is going through this this is worse than the pistol episode I know it's Texas but come on delinus that fetus now those episodes may be the grossest But the saddest episode is best in show this is one of those episodes where everyone is awful and for whatever reason the entire town decides to berate Goddard for not being a real dog and every time they're super mean to him you hear him like whimper and it's so sad he accidentally electrocuted a puppy he was trying to play with he always helps everyone out why is everyone so mean to him something that made me just as sad when I was a kid were those cute little aliens called Twinkies turning evil when they were exposed to music I'm going to move on to inconsistencies but first here's my monthly complaining about streaming services because oh my God how hard is it to put a series in order I've yet to find a platform that doesn't do this with old kid shows and it's infuriating also fun fact season 1 episode 1 and episode 13 is not available on Paramount plus I was wondering why and apparently it's because of the Aaron Carter song used in these episodes all the other kids look like bowling pins in season 1 episode 13 B the big pinch Jimmy is just leaving class whenever he wants which led me to believe that school is optional for him which makes sense but in the season one finale Miss fowl and principal Willoughby say that leaving class early is 10 demerits that's funny because Jimmy's done that throughout the season and this is the first time hearing of this in the Christmas special Jimmy asks how anybody can survive the freezing cold North Pole and then proceeds to go there in a T-shirt oh my God I sound like CinemaSins in the episode Sheen's brain there's that annoying Trope where ball is rolling towards them and instead of going off to the side they keep running in the direction the ball is rolling in Jimmy I thought you were supposed to be a genius season 3's Premiere attack of the Twinkies goes into excruciating detail about how Sheen is a terrible singer and cannot hold the tune but this changes constantly remember shoe up shoe up oh ain't no loving my man kid has a voice of an Angel something I really enjoyed was how often Twinkies were seen after rise of the twonkies like they just kept showing up in season three another inconsistency was in season 2 episode 11 Sheen's brain when Jimmy and Carl are trying to help Sheen study they electrocute him when he gets distracted as negative reinforcement and he does not like being electrocuted but in the episode crunch time he seemed to really enjoy it for some reason this kid used to be a little masochist what changed also in the very first episode she mentions that his mom has one of the ultra Lords on layaway which is very strange because we've never seen Sheen's mom in the movie or ever here are some cool inventions I haven't mentioned yet and then we'll talk about the best crossover of our lifetime season 1 episode 2 a normal boy Jimmy uses the brain drain to lobotomize himself in Rise of the uzi scab he invents an invention he invents an invention he creates an invention where he can talk to fish and one of the fish starts complaining about how her boyfriend is cheating on her very cool the invention in episode 13B of season 1 puts you physically inside a video game it's like metaverse but it's cooler doesn't steal your data and doesn't give you a headache in beach party mummy Jimmy makes an invention that brings people back to life I fear this kid in retroville 9 Jimmy makes baseball equipment that makes them good at baseball once Jimmy's team heard that the equipment is what made them so good they're shocked but my question is how the equipment was yanking you in the air and making you move in operation Jet Fusion we make the fun discovery that Jimmy's inventions are more advanced than the government this kid's gonna be a world leader and colonize other planets and it's going to be super unethical but damn it would be such a fun season I feared this child when I saw the episode men at work as a kid I wanted to go to this futuristic restaurant so badly one of the inventions Jimmy makes for mcspankies is a tongue scanner that scans your tongue and then knows your ideal order in the episode the junk man cometh the questions how come we don't have to wear a helmet when we're in space how come we don't need oxygen tanks and stuff and how come it takes astronauts days to come to and from the moon but it only takes us a few minutes we're all asked by Sheen which like these are very smart questions I'm surprised he even thought of these things but before we hear the answer we're interrupted by Carl's singing I'll see you next June because I guess there's no answer but in operation jet Fusion there is oxygen gum which they chew on to breathe underwater so while this is never explicitly said this invention could apply to like the space travel too the Jimmy Timmy Power hours where do I start it's a crossover between Jimmy Neutron and The Fairly OddParents obviously and there's three of them so the incident that causes them to meet is when Timmy needs a project for the science fair so he wishes that he's in the best lab in the universe which is Jimmy's let's not think about how scary that is so as you can see these two shows have distinct art styles so when they swap places it's really interesting to see how they interact with this new world a new dimension Timmy and Jimmy surprisingly don't interact much in the first one it's more so Timmy befriending Carl Sheen Libby and Cindy and Jimmy just acknowledging that Wanda and Cosmo exist no friendship or camaraderie was built between them regardless of whether or not they said there is they're not friends they're barely acquaintances they even wasted an opportunity for Cosmo and Wanda to react to Jimmy's Brain Blast oh Jesus what the [ __ ] was that last thing I have to say about this first special is I feel like Jimmy isn't in the wrong calling Cosmo and Wanda Holograms they're clearly not as magical as they claim to be because they don't get their power from within they get it from this freaking radio tower but I'm not here to do the Fairly Odd Parents lore maybe one day all right the second one aka the shipping battle Professor calamus is wreaking havoc and Jimmy says I see you got out of that force field I left you in the Cretaceous Period this was after League of villains the timeline of this series is [ __ ] I'm telling you they aired this in the actual order because it makes more sense with the main plot and the shipping [ __ ] but it doesn't feel right that Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2 and 3 came out pretty much after the Jimmy Neutron series was over they animated Sheen with blue eyes and dimsdale even though his eyes are brown most of the special was shipping Shenanigans so we're gonna acknowledge that when I get to the shipping section let's move on to the third one I'll read you through some of my bullet points by the way this is how many I had for the full series Cosmo and Wanda in these specials act like those two heckling old man Muppets they just commentate on the sidelines only interacting with the main plot at Timmy's beck and call this is the only special where they're nice to each other because Cindy's out of town God Chester and AJ look like bobble heads in retroville yeah that was that was the most off-putting design choice to make also the whole Timmy is nicer to Cindy thing is thrown out the window in the special he calls her Debbie and he ejected her from the lab the Timmy Cindy ship is a joke and I'll go more into why later also Cindy flirting with AJ and Chester is so uncomfortable and forced Jimmy and Timmy's friendship only forms when they're being the worst versions of each other they discarded their other friends and they created a villain just to abandon him when he doesn't act the way they want the biggest ship of the show is of course Cindy and Jimmy and the biggest obstacle they have to face is their stubborn ass selves but the show established their conflicting love-hate feelings towards each other from as early as the movie but let's first talk about each of their side quests Jimmy's other ongoing Crush was Betty Quinlan wanting to be the part opposite her and Macbeth keeping pictures of her in his lab this whole Betty Arc concluded in the season 3 episode Vanishing act where Jimmy just kept fawning over Betty and Cindy as a result kept antagonizing Betty Betty then pulled Cindy the side and was like chill Jesus Christ he's all yours just get out of my face she literally says get out of my face this was Betty's most badass moment and she has a point Cindy why are you mad at her I also completely forgot about the episode foul Bowl where Jimmy Sheen and Carl all have a crush on this farm girl from the field trip the last of Jimmy's flings was April the gorlock in win lose Kaboom unlike with Betty April shared his affections but similarly to Betty Cindy was not happy about this on Cindy's side she briefly we had a crush on Nick Dean and Timmy Turner I just don't understand how people can ship Cindy and Timmy when Cindy straight up tells him yeah if you weren't smart I wouldn't like you it wouldn't work out some big Jimmy Cindy moments Were enstranded King of Mars and lady sings the news which are all in season three which is why season three felt very fan ficky to me because they'll be on a Dangerous Mission and Jimmy will be like is that a new shirt you guys are 10. chill out Jesus I don't hate it it's just kind of annoying because it takes up most of the time when I want to see more of Sheen and Libby the superior ship but no Canon ships compared to what I've seen on Tumblr yes there is a Tumblr section about Nicktoons unite at first I just discovered the Jimmy Timmy ship which I don't know why I was surprised about but then I found something way more in-depth and collaborative Nicktoons unite was a video game that came out in 2005 that you can play on the PlayStation 2 Gamecube Nintendo DS and Game Boy adventure and the plot is SpongeBob Danny Phantom Timmy Turner and Jimmy Neutron working together to take down villains in all of their different universes this video game has a lot of fan art and Fannin which expands on the Jimmy Timmy ship and also makes Danny Phantom and SpongeBob best buddies and it's just so weird and fun I'm sorry I'm obsessed I just love that Nostalgia can Inspire completely new works in most of the fan art SpongeBob is still a sponge which makes him stand out in a very funny way which is the point but others make him a human and oh my God I love this design I don't know why but it gives me Elton John Vibes goodbye yellow sponge Road somebody also made the B team too come on this is so fun the B team is Jenny From My Life as a Teenage Robot dip from from Invader Zim cat and dog from cat dog and Manny from LT gray it's perfect it's so much fun and I love it so I can't confirm any of this information about the cancellation or the fourth season but I got this from the Jimmy Neutron Wiki and I want to read a bit to you there was supposed to be a fourth season which would have been the final season but DNA Productions went out of business due to the failure of the Ant Bully the fourth season was supposed to be darker and more serious than the previous ones an overarching story about the gang starting Middle School the premiere episode would have featured Jimmy and the rest of the class teaming up to stop evil Jimmy and the rest of the evil clones an episode about Cindy Libby and Betty getting stuck in Jimmy's lab an episode about Nick and the series finales would have been all the members of Team Neutron fighting the now rebuilt League of villains I am so mad Aunt bully took this from us if Nostalgia created the very cursed Velma I'm sorry I only mentioned this because it's topical then we can bring
