Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
That was a horribly edited video. It just kept showing us the same shit over and over again I guess in an attempt to make it a longer video. Also I would have preferred to see the process in proper order and not all staggered.
This is about as artisan as Mc Donalds.
I feel betrayed that there are raisins on the bottom.
Tried it, not that great, tasted bland
Although the Japanese call it a cheesecake it is a completely different type of cake as compared to American versions of cheesecakes. I think that is why a lot of the commenters here are saying that it's bland etc. Most Japanese would say that a New York cheesecake is too sweet and heavy. Just think of it as another type of cake and not based it on what you think what a cheesecake is in the US. Americans tend to eat things that are much sweeter than the Japanese and these cakes are catered to Japanese taste buds. Personally I find them to be delicious and I also like American styled cheese cakes as well as I consider them to be different types of cakes with a similar name. Also note that these cakes are steam baked which makes them very moist and fluffy, they also have a lot of egg whites in them
Never been a fan of Japanese cheesecake. Sure it looks nice, but I've never enjoyed the taste compared to American or European counterparts.
this is mass production and poorly edited, not good quality for this sub, downvoted.
Artisan? Fuckin how
At 1:15 it looks like there are bugs in one of the pans that are running around
