I think if when I was about two years old and my mother was playing the violin and I sat on her lap while she was playing the violin and she played some Bach and I will always remember that feeling [Music] in every sea there's a mouth over both sides now by Joni Mitchell but later on in her life from the orchestral album orchestrated by vince mendoza from when she was about 60 years old the comparison between that and when she was very young is extraordinary orchestral version for me is so intense I can't I can barely listen to it together it's you and something like Stevie Wonder's you and I there's a song called you and I by Stevie Wonder oh no together [Music] just always been one of my most favorite love songs as a ballad that's wonderful there's another Stevie Wonder song called called lately which i think is a an astonishing song is that an amazing piece of work and I think if I had composed that I'd feel really great very slowly picking me up our Prince came to London to play at Ronnie Scott's in the jazz club and it was very last-minute but I wasn't there Flintstones but I did an arrangement of this theme tune last year and it was it was exciting [Music] mehar it depends on the flavor of difficult time because some difficult times are really nice and some difficult times are really hard if I cannot smile and I put on don't stop till you get enough by Michael Jackson then I cannot help it put the purse don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop tweaking [Music] [Applause] I have this one-man show so it's only over me on the stage and I do everything play all the instruments and things and a few weeks ago in Hamburg somebody jumped onto the stage during the Encore and asked if he could play the drums [Music] and after he came on stage ten other people came on stage [Music] [Applause] [Music] we ended the whole gig with 11 people all onstage which for me is extraordinary because I only ever do one man thing so that was for me it was mind-blowing it's very wonderful [Music] Jaco Pastorius I think on the base is probably my favorite bass plays extraordinary take six as the backing singers and they're still alive which is nice so maybe that's possible it would have to be Jimi Hendrix on guitar I think because he's the best drums I can't decide but probably probably a a mixture of people it's hard to say I mean Stevie Wonder plays all instruments all of them so maybe Stevie Wonder or lots of instruments but Stevie on the drums is underrated I think he can sing too there are different ones for different reasons I've always loved the Blue Note just up in Tokyo because it's just perfect it's a perfect space but there's also the most amazing venue at jazz IV n which is that great big Roman amphitheater which is built really really a long time ago like 2,000 years ago then that really blew my mind I played there last July and it was extraordinary for me one of my favorites [Music] I think Joni Mitchell's pretty badass I'd probably say Joni Mitchell yeah [Music] oh I mean I think Teenage Dream by Katy Perry is although it's a very very very poppy song it's just fantastic [Music] so our sort of semi ashamedly say that I definitely enjoy that song
