- Gold, silver, coins. How explosive is our day gonna be? Welcome back to what's inside today. We are in a small town, Dayton, Nevada. This is the home of the first ever gold that was mined in the entire state of Nevada. This storage facility has been here for over 15 years. And while we were looking for places online, we saw this unit that had dust, it had cobwebs. It also looks like there's mining equipment in here. This is a unit that people have been paying $140 a month for more than 10 years. If you're gonna spend that much on a unit, you probably have something valuable in there. So this is a mystery. This is untouched storage locker for years and years. Here we go. Look at that. Look at that dust. Are you seeing that? Dust, dirt, spider webs. Some of the things that intrigued me, this right here explosive cartridges. This is the box that they used for cartridges, for mining, where they put the explosives inside of it. We need to open this up without moving it too much in case there still are some old like mining explosives in there that maybe are unstable after sitting here for all these years. But there's that. You've got these old mining lights in here. There's another box right here of the cartridges. Dusty stuff, everywhere. Some like rocks back here. First thing we're gonna grab right here. Look at this newspaper, February 1st, 1945. Germans may pull out defenses in Paris. This is crazy, this is crazy. All right, let's let the fun begin. It's just an old Coleman stove. You can open that, I'll check. Oh no! Spider webs everywhere, guarding the treasure box. Lincoln, come here. - Little jacks. Is that what these are called? - Why would you keep a large trash bag inside of a treasure chest? - Trash. - All right we got some light bulbs in here from Walmart. If we find a safe ladder, we're gonna need this tool. It feels like a quilt. Some clothes in there, goodwill. Some old books and stuff. Kissinger, like what? Tire bag full of old newspapers again. All right, this table is going to be our staging area. A lot of really old tools, I have no use for tools. So far nothing that I'm like, yes, we made it, we're in the money. Is that like a? - That is a big old artillery shell. It's like a postcard letter that you send and they open up into postcards. This trunk is cool though. I wonder if somebody to buy this trunk. This one's really heavy. Oh, wow. - See that one easier. - Oh, there was a turtle in there and I think I broke it. Oh, sorry turtle. Spain, we got some Spain glass. Tire chains. I like turtles. July 31st, 1944. - I like this. - Big box. - I like this a lot. - Whoa. - Star wars? - This is definitely like the toy box. Some sort of old star wars toys. Fifth Pokemon cards, I would be so happy. Oh my gosh, the dust on this is unreal. Wow! - Scout camp. - 200 cartridges. We are not allowed to keep guns or ammunition if we find it. Let me take this green box. Sample California ballot. - Foresee light. - The first thing that might have any value is a a six inch bench grinder. Oh my gosh, a frying pan full of broken glass! People don't spend $140 a month to store magazines. Old postcards. We've made just a small dent. There's all that stuff that we have not touched. - It's, I think it's actually coffee. - Well, no gold there. A whistle made out of a bullet. - I don't know if any of this is gold. Probably not. Cool sharp teeth in there. All the old time magazines. I'm gonna hold on to that, that could have some value. Old super eight machine to watch movies off. It's a 1940 football schedule. A book about Shirley temple. Artillery, oh my guess. That's cool. - Can I get some of these? - I found some butterflies. I'll take that on the cart. I have a bunch of old race car, collectable cars. - Those are cool. - I'll tell you what they really like eccentric migraine. Sponsored cars, number 92, number 57. There's a lot of those ones. Oh, man, war ration books. - What is it? - This are stuff from world war II. Because they're like, this is where they would get their food from, it's like their ration. See the stamps and give them each one of them would give them certain things. Really people do like collecting these old patches. - That's really cool. - It's old medals. People do like the old medals. Okay, world war II. We'll keep that stuff. Look at this guy. American airlines, big old crate. More toys. What's that? - A little puppet. - It's like puppet. - Yeah, he's pretty cool. - That's nice. - That's fire. - There's rainfall here. - This is nice. - Please be fall, Pokemon cards. Big old micro machines truck. - Look at this guy, he's actually really cool. Cause you're like stay stable. - Old broken sewing machine. - Yeah. - So old. - It really is Danmark, check it out, Danmark. - It is all cleaned out. But even though this is empty, this is not empty, right here and right here and right here. We have a few things to go through. The things that we did find, we did get into a good rhythm. Identify pretty quickly with stuff was good and not good. And let's show you some of the things that we got. I'm back in my small town in Southern Utah with the Gold Ore Store. And I have all of the coins and all of the military memorabilia from that locker. And I want them to check it out. We are back in the secret office of the Gold Ore shop. This is Graig. He's gonna be our expert today. All right. So I found this, it was in Dayton, Nevada. It's actually the first time that they ever found gold in all of Nevada ever. - Okay. - The reason why I bought the lockers because it was all dusty and it looked like a gold miner's former thing. Unfortunately, spoiler alert. There was really not much gold in there at all. - Right. - These are just some old jacks. - Oh yeah! - So some like historical things, you know. - Yeah, they are. Don't have a whole lot of value. - This one looks broken, but it looks like some old military compass thing. - This is a coin inwards out of this baby. - No value. - No, not really anything. - It was probably more of like the sentimental value for them, with the war. - Yeah, most likely. - This is what they use. - It's not silver. - Not silver. - It be like $10, for each one of these. - $10 for each one? Okay, $10, $20, $30, $40, $50. - Yeah, because there's enough silver here. - Oh yeah, I was a little disappointed, but I'll take 60 bucks for that. - These are the flight wings that they use in the army accord. And it is Sterling, 20 bucks for that. - Cool. - It looks like you've got a pretty good group of patches here. I'll give you 40 bucks for these group of patches. - Nice. These are, it looks like the people were big fans of the San Francisco giants. - You'd be surprised about this kind thing again. Because you put this kind of thing online, I'll give you 30 bucks. - Oh nice! So we paid $1,200 for this locker. How about these guys right here? - Oh, nice. This is right up our alley. - Yes, I was waiting for this. - Okay, good. - Some of these are older. I mean, they're not in the greatest of shape. But more like 1,800's. - The 1965 JFK half dollar, which happens to be 40% silver. 58 Benjamin Franklin half, which is also 90% value wise, on what you have here. We will call it a good 200 bucks. - 200 bucks? Solid. - Being in this business, you'll learn a few tricks and having a magnet guys wherever you're going, what's actually metal and what's not. - So there's no necessarily. - No, no nothing there. - Okay. Paid 1200 for the locker. We still have some things back at home that we're gonna try to sell. But I would definitely say this locker did not pay out. And it's okay to have some failures. Like sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I'm learning stuff and it's fun. But for a business, just know if you're ever gonna buy storage lockers, sometimes they don't pan out. You got my cash. We got about $345. And this one I would say is like a medium failure, we did definitely did make our money back. We had a great trip. It was fun. You win some, you lose some. But overall it was a good experience. And I still have some things that I'm taking back. So yeah, there we go. I like turtles.
