hey guys it's jessica here for today's video i wanted to introduce filipino snacks to my korean friends oh my god so i've been in jessica's video before i'm just a normal korean common student as i've said previously a normal college student in korea [Music] i was also in her other yeah [Music] i'm also a grad student who's currently trying to study youtube channels right are you guys familiar with any of these snacks i know these yeah my old high school had these in their store high school in korea yeah i don't know why they it was a really random choice okay i had no idea though he has lived in the philippines for three years when he was age kindergarten yeah kindergarten but you don't know yeah because you're too young okay okay i do feel it's a little ashy because like my favorite snacks are not here like my favorite favorite snacks oh it's called like ceramic one pillows and other stuff it's not here chocolate chocolate also you do know something those are famous ah pillows or faces yeah so maybe that's one filipino snack you remember from kindergarten we don't have it the most classic one this is very classic chickpea when i first went to the philippines i saw this and yeah just try it first barbecue flavor this is the most classic it doesn't taste that special right does it no right it doesn't taste special but yeah it tastes good yeah yeah yeah yeah i like the texture it's not as like hard and crispy how would you rate chippy there's no like wow seven [Music] is a very famous jack this is also jack and jill too one of my friends used to work in jack and jill because i remember like i visited the factory and then i get to like try all the jack and stuff but they actually have more flavors so there's the cheese flavor and they also have purple one they have like blue one it's definitely this is actually like white chocolate eight for both eight for both [Music] and this is another classic i'm gonna let them try the exotic ones later this is called the clover they also have different flavors i got the only one available in the pinot noir it's a one donkey childhood memories for me it brings my father nowadays [Music] oh my god it tastes uh it does smell like cheese balls [Applause] i'm so confused [Music] [Applause] it starts off as cheese and then it's like a question mark at the end it tastes like the cracker itself without the sauce when i was younger i would like okay how would you rate clover i know a lot of koreans around when i let them try clover they're very confused i'm gonna give it a confused 3.5 three point five four four four that's entire [Music] it's a corn snack it's like popcorn it's like corn nuts basically oh yeah basically it also has like several flavors we have the classic garlic flavor means garlic in filipino yeah and they have like adobo they have like hot chili flavor yeah this is adobo flavor i got it adorable chicken right it can be chicken [Applause] a lot of snacks are pretty pretty salty so how would you rate for about one that's a eight to nine eight five eight to nine oh nine nine that's what [Music] so we're going to move on to another classic this one also has corn eggs in it it's a mix of different nuts it's like those wasabi green peas they sell in japan yeah yeah we also have that in the philippines the wasabi green peas but different flavor this one is also kind of image that's right it kind of tastes like a glorified trail mix but because of the powder it makes it a little like instant so how would you rate this i like this one but i like that one better maybe also because of the flavor slightly sweet so seven eight eighteen i have another classic snack but it can be a little bit exotic this one started from this one golden street and it used to be very very common and famous like in 2009 now and it's very very yellow podza golden sweet corn i remember this taste oh you did i i think i've eaten this before [Applause] [Music] it's crunchy but it's kind of moist inside and then oh yeah yeah because cheese puffs it's very dry oh at first it's sweet later on it looks very intimidatingly yellow yeah yeah okay so how would you rate the sweet corn if i was gonna have the whole bag i'd be drinking like two gallons of water yum six six i'll give it a nice [Music] is a recreation of a very traditional filipino snack which is called oh yeah they came out with a snack version of it it's actually not meat it's vegetarian don't smell it first oh my god [Applause] they also have different flavors but this one's spicy in your flavor because i thought you would like this and then you got cheese yeah one third of the bag right that's what i love about coconut milk james is dying it's really hard to make koreans like feel something spicy yeah this one is i would say like the most spicy snacks yeah very small but it's very spicy like 10 times spicier than yeah so how would you raise it 9.5 whoa five [Music] then our last junk key food of the day i've never tried this also oh this is chickpea this is cheap so how would you rate this one seven seven five seven point five seven point five [Music] so the last product of the day is philly nuts i think we can try one of the flavors it's also my first time encountering this brand why not oh my god i get it it's like why not yes why not peanut butter i thought this only exists in the philippines i'm pretty sure this grows like elsewhere but i would describe it it tastes watery it has the texture of a cashew but it tastes like a macadamia flavor wise um 5.5 5. overall i'll give it a 70. oh because it feels healthy my eye feels healthy it's very healthy you got to health benefits it's really healthy people who don't like salty stuff among these i would like this as a snack the most really yeah out of all of these no like everyday snacks everyday snacks because i can't eat junk food every day right i can this doesn't feel good yeah this is the outside it's very healthy okay so we've tried different goodies from the philippines how was it overall overall comment so i'm taking this home it's like a sodium fest do you think it's very different from like korean snacks american snacks what do you think are the major differences in stuff like that [Music] when you think of snacks or like these chips you automatically think of really artificial flavors i mean i'm sure these aren't like crazy healthy either yeah but it still tastes relatively healthy compared to american snacks all right or some of the korean ones i think they use a lot of salt but i like it but i like it i mean that's what junk food is supposed to be like supposed to be junkie you know what were your favorites crackling we're so different what's oh favorite among these i go with oibao very filipino honestly if we didn't have these yeah this would be our outline okay all right guys so oh we've tried different filipino snacks it's very siam saiyan means ash i wasn't able to find my personal favorites here but i've got to cover some of the classics i'm happy that they enjoyed it i had so much fun letting them try all these so that was it for today's video i hope you guys enjoyed it let me know your thoughts on this video in the comments down below and i'll see you guys in the next one [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
