you today for mousetrap Monday get ready to catch a bunch of mice in the barn with a brand new lock the plague style mousetrap that has a double plank and a clever trigger system unlike anything I've seen before it was invented in Australia and it's known as the plank EB now I've only seen this mousetrap for sale on eBay Australia where it's currently being sold for eight dollars and ninety cents but with the high cost of shipping currently this mouse traps not for sale in the US but hopefully that changes soon if you can get your hands on this mousetrap you're gonna catch a lot of mice what makes it so different as the double plank trigger system the upper plank is solid the mouse will go on it past the point of no return but it doesn't get dunked as soon as it steps down on the lower plank BAM they'll end up in the bucket there's no magnets just a counterweight it's a really clever design and we're gonna test it out with our pet mice but first I'll show you how to put it together it comes in two colors black and white the first thing you do is take off the rubber band there's a lower plank and a plastic piece now the upper plank and the sides have screws we'll take those out thankee B then we'll fit the lower plank with the upper plank it fits together right here and attach the sides we've assembled our planky B I just need to add some screws to hold it together pretty simple let's go fit him on a bucket and test them out with our pet mice it's time to walk the plank again the plinky be mousetrap work well with my pet mice both large and small and a reset itself every time we'll go put these guys back in their cage and set up the trap in the barn with motion cameras to try to catch some wild mice well that worked out really well over the past several days I set the plane key be mousetrap in the barn and I caught ten mice they wanted the bait went up the ramp stood on the upper platform but nothing happened until they stepped down on the lower plank when they did they got dunked now one thing I like so much about this trap is how easy it is to maintain just spread a little peanut butter on the end every few days and change out the water as needed now I prefer to use a good mousetrap over poison so many animals love to eat mice if you use poison you might accidentally kill a wild animal or someone's pet and we have a bucket full of mice here I'm going to go set up the motion cameras and see what animals come along and enjoy a mouse snack I really enjoyed checking the trail cameras in the morning to see what wild animals came along and found the mice that we left them in this case a raccoon a coyote and a feral cat all gobbled down a meal provided by the planky be this design works well my only concern is the material the sides and back are made out of I don't think they'd hold up to water so this is not for outdoor use and you have to watch out for the back splash in the bucket but other than that this is a great trap if you haven't subscribed to my channel yet please consider clicking the button right there I've posted over 500 videos on YouTube and currently imposing new videos every Monday and Friday so if you want to see how to catch mice rats squirrels chipmunks moles poles and Gophers stay tuned
