all right let's kick it off this is I saw us on the internet a podcast really about nothing but crazy stories that we found on the internet you can submit them to internet at kevonstage.com I totally forgot to say this all the other episodes but you can find this wherever podcasts are found by now you maybe know that or it's too late today's panelists are Mel Mitchell Jason Hollingsworth Anthony Charles Baker that's my legal name yeah it was Jason Hollingsworth the government yeah is Hollingsworth Irish it's it's a long story but I came from uh England over to Ireland and Ireland to yeah Portland Valentine last name is O'Kelly that's Irish I got one percent Irish up in me Tony hey is it an eighth wide or quarter I get 25 German 25. that's a significant amount of German yeah it keeps going up it keeps good because it started at 20. it keeps I don't believe those things though because uh there was identical twins that took them and sent them off and they got different results wow maybe they had different dads none they're twins yeah so identical is the egg splits into wait is it two at two per two egg two sperm it can't be one it's one egg one sperm and then splits like you know it's still what psycho sure but it's listening yeah so what's fraternal two eggs fraternals two sperms two eggs yeah um that's how the one had a different dad because some women ovulate with two eggs every time maybe not every time but it's random but like that's why like a lot of Africans and some they say yams I think make you have twins can I get to the yeah sweet yeah that's off of Martin Zone sure I mean that came from Martin really that's where masego got that from there was a song I want to say it was um Tommy Davidson Vernell Hill um sweet yes this is it I do for the children oh Tommy Davidson is funny man talented Tommy was one of them generational not was but one of them generational talents not enough credit if you know what Tommy Davidson I don't know where the yams part is it Martin does Martin sing it though you asking us you told us do you want us to develop your story you told us about this I forget I can't find it just made the other day In Living Color huh produced oh what seven or eight generational stars in like three Jim JLo Tommy David I forgot about JLo can she count I was talking about just the comics yeah oh yeah Damon was on there she had a lot of talent in her Damon Jim Jimmy Jim Kim yeah that's seven um there's less people who probably weren't I mean these are huge they're not Elijah Sean and Marlin Sean and Marlon that's nine and then Keenan created yeah that's ten pounds per pound pound for pounds for a sketch show In Living Color was packed with more heat more less of a run and that's in there because SNL been on for 50 years it literally happened the Living Color was like man if you take okay so now give me the 10 SNL Eddie Adams Will Ferrell yeah Tina Fey Kristen wig Kristen wig was on there I don't know if they are Generations like don't play I'm playing with bridesmaids to me Jamie he's been sensitively color he's been generational talent for what 20 years 25 years oh Jimmy Fallon John Jimmy Fallon Martin Dana Carter Chris Rock is also SML Chris Rock Tracy Morgan so much more time Chevy Chase Bill Murray for sure they're gonna win because they have 50 years John Belushi Chris Farley Chris Farley Molly Shannon David Spade now she's been in good in other [ __ ] though what she was funny in a little man she was funny she was a little man remember the scene where the mom on the van and they were trying to like change the diaper or some [ __ ] she was driving Molly Shannon is [ __ ] hilarious she was in something um oh the Grinch Molly Shannon was Cindy Lou who's mama I don't know I feel like to be Tim Meadows you up the black man summer Lodge has been on long time it has been it's been produced that's what I said that's why I said yeah Living Color was only on for like six years that many now let's talk about Mad TV though Larry Spears Eric Spirit first of all none of those three are of the careers of the other people yet if we put mileage yeah we talking about David Allan career okay I'll give you guys I love Will Sasso definitely gotta put Jordan pill in there at the very least Jordan but Michael Keegan key is no no I got you working but I'm comparing them to like Jamie though you comparing everybody talking about it because everybody ain't like Jim Carrey was the best at his game Jamie best like these people are on top for a minute keep and I like key and people they gotta be on top I'm thinking like if we not if we if we putting people at the top top we gotta take a lot of them and live a couple of people we got to we got to so if we go Kim Coles we gotta take off David Allen Grier we gotta take off time of day we got the time okay leave it man I'm not like so all right okay Phil Lamar is probably one of the best voice actors of Our Generation he's great I like feeling more but that's what four Bobby Lee kind of been working Bobby Lee because I just saw him on something the other day Mad TV ain't stacking up no I'm at TVs let's prepare this no and not Living Color better skits oh um Lois Griffin what's her name oh yeah Miss Swan Miss Juan she is she's done Swan is Lois Griffin the same lady from um chief of Mad TV yeah Mrs Mrs maisel Alex Alex marvelous Mrs maisel she's in that too one more time she might be the biggest TV because the Living Color as SNL created movie stars yeah I mean you have Eddie Murphy alone there's nobody in all the rosters that touches his career Eddie Murphy is number one out of everybody in terms of History of the World in terms of what he was able to accomplish John Belushi to Eddie Murphy to Mikey day I got some of it Will Ferrell's All I'm gonna say these people are we concluding the writers because didn't Larry David write on SNL he did oh he was in a few sketches Mike Myers was on Mike Myers [Music] uh what's his name uh Dana Curry Seth Meyers was David Spade on there yes dating the Carver was on there Norm Macdonald oh yeah that's the nails stack Andy Samberg Leslie Jones Leslie Jones Maya Rudolph we didn't even get to Maya uh oh my Rudolph I don't even know if you can win Panthers Garrett Morgan you can though Jason Sudeikis because SNL has more of a roster to choose from because if we look at if we look at every cast member of SNL and stretches all out yeah then you're gonna have a lot of people you've never even heard the percentage is going to be higher for a Living Color and that show's literally been on for 48 Seasons since 1975. so now if you said you had to limit it to a five-year span okay that's when how about this okay top seven versus top seven you can only pick seven or five okay how do they stack up so we get so if you're going from Saturday Night Live you only have five to choose from regardless of all 48 Seasons to go up against five from Living Color and five from Mad TVs biggest stars most success so a Murphy he's the probably the biggest stars okay Eddie Murphy all the wins so then this Adam Sandler yeah okay Will Ferrell that's three okay success and he's still working he was in that middle working from still relevant still working damn this is they stacked over there now Tina Fey Tina Fey is is crazy Tina Fey um they have Tina Steve Martin yeah no Steve Martin wasn't a regular though he was just show up a lot Dan Aykroyd Mike Myers might be the next biggest Martin Short wasn't an SNL Mike Myers Mike Myers probably is the next biggest of these people no Martin you don't think so for sure was on SNL no he wasn't he wasn't a regular oh I don't see him on this list Mike Myers you can't you can't put Shrek Chris Rock no because there was a maybe a project where Chris Rock was the biggest comedian on Earth bring the pain to bigger and blocker yeah head of state and then he died Everybody Hates Chris I Hates Chris Madagascar yeah he he had a he had a moment he's still having money and he's still he was beating him oh Adam Sandler's in there for sure absolutely we need two more yeah oh you taking Chris Rock and Bill Murray but Chris Rock wasn't a regular yeah let me write these down just so I make sure we said okay we said Eddie Murphy said Chris Rock was on SNL what Yeah Eddie Murphy Adam Sandler we said who else uh Will Ferrell excellent it bombs Chris Rock and what was the last one uh Bill Murray Bill Murray all right so now you got In Living Color Jim Carrey Jim Jamie Jim Carrey Jamie and then you want to do Damon King and Marlon or Martin Sean Jason probably has the best career of the Wayans of acting wise because he had do you think so yeah because he had my wife and kids Keenan created In Living Color and he had his movies he had my favorite parent movies yeah but I'm talking about I acting wise people are going to put the star that's acted in stuff more than the Creator this is the five I was saying all right got Sheen Jim Jamie Damon Sean Keenan you need Marlin on there Sean is going on I'm in Marlin not sure okay I was like trying I mean I like Charlotte Marlon Keenan Keenan got illustrious career he was right here he's writing yeah he's producing and he started movies too he was in the glimmerman Go Down Dirty Shame I'm gonna get you something my favorite movies ever I love that movie Saturday Night Live wins Saturday Eddie beats Eddie Jim Carrey Eddie's the big Joker and the baby Joker want to take a quick break from the show to tell you about fabric listen parents it's no secret that you have subject to underwriting and health questions and now back to the show barely yeah I know I did the Gross Point Bank with them to head to head barely Eddie barely be barely but here's what I think about myself as well here's why I think he's a bigger star he had Saturday Night Live yeah he had raw and Delirious still biggest comedy movies ever well was actually released theatrically Delirious was it okay really was yeah wasn't he a theater Buffalo it was it was like HBO or Okay Kevin Hart tried to catch him he couldn't he couldn't even for with him without inflation raws at 50 million Kevin Hart's highest was at 38. really I didn't know yeah Kevin Hart was like um he said it he was like he was trying to catch Eddie he just couldn't right and he was the only cast man probably not mistaken to be on SNL and host SNL while a cast member of s m that's crazy yeah so and he was like 22. Eddie versus who Eddie versus Jim Jim had some box office smash for sure he had some smashes that's why whatever man Dumb and Dumber cable guy was considered a fail though Truman Show you know on Saturday Night Live maybe he wasn't a regular Ben Stiller I didn't know he had anything to do with it it still is a nepo baby oh what a nipple baby oh all right Jerry Stiller that man and that lady Marlon Wayans has had a pretty good career and so Marlon may have career-wise surpassed like the not obviously not more successful or talented than his brothers but like because he the baby he had more time and he had that set up for him all the same time and he kind of passed the Baton because his own movies but Damon had my wife and kids which was a really successful but other than that he had more money Major Payne major pain okay yeah boy scout I love that movie yeah and then but you know Martin and them had some them scary movies White Chicks what scary movie yeah yeah don't be a menace and he was writing those two Kenny was writing those that's why that's why Marlins on there yeah yeah yeah but Marlon was haunted house did numbers too in a haunted house he's small inside of doing [ __ ] on his own and he's done drama and he's a great dramatic actor now he's gonna beat that woman Franklin joint Belair Requiem for a Dream now he does a really good jobs serious McGee sometimes yeah he was he was uh uh what's the Dream movie Eternal Sunshine if you pitch Sean against Chris Rock Marley Mar I mean Marlin Marlin has a stronger filmography than Chris probably but Chris Rock had them specials Chris Rock's separating Factor was them specials that's what was making him a story yeah there's no there's no specials were not a lot of people can compete with nobody like actually probably under Eddie black comedian he probably has the next biggest special after Eddie I can't argue that three of them yeah that were amazing yeah I don't think you can compare Marlin to Chris because you think about a lot of Marlins movies where Marlon and Sean and such as Aunt like it's not just Marlin and his brother he got senseless on his own six man six man is great he got uh six man what's good haunted houses all the basketball movie that he was in by himself it was when his brother he was in above the room Above the Rim that's it that's what I'm saying but those are not modeling movies the Chris Rock movies are Chris Rock movies but he was above the time Chris Rock movies he don't have that many that are like that's amazing film I mean they funny though so I think I think mama has more range I don't what I I don't know the Earth had a state one funny to y'all they wanted to stay this funny I mean like I'll never go backwards and down to earth we have Regina King in there and then we also have we also have I think I love my wife I Think I Love My Wife boomerang don't remember that he worked in there I don't remember that but he didn't really stick out the boomerang like that he was funny he was like the young he kind of like ushered a man but he was also in Lethal Weapon four Chris yeah he show up and he was his brothers he was in that um that city was fired that's where you compare Chris and Marlon because they were both drug addicts New Jack City but the stand-up to me is the separator oh Chris yeah and we also forgot Eddie Murphy had the PJs which nobody ever talked about PJs was out he did have the PJs he was great Jim Carrey animated donkey that's why I feel like he separates himself from Jimmy that's why that's why Jim Carrey was the Grinch nah but this is that's a live action movie Jim Eddie Murphy was in some of the best animated was in Mulan and Shrek yeah yeah for sure was he in pets too [Music] I did take Shrek out why this because it was like I was really comparing Eddie versus Jim for real like oh that's not for real because it's just voice over work even though it's not just simply that like donkey is he transcends it but but donkey is Eddie you know that's Eddie Murphy I took it I took it out because I was doing Jim versus Eddie for real in terms of us looking at them now if this is my age right now I was a child when Shrek came out yeah Shrek it created the Oscar it won the first animation Oscar oh I'm about to see the Oscar's mini assistant look at that Shrek was so good they were like we gonna give this here we go anti fairy tale movie it was so good honestly for adults and then Shrek 2 and all that [ __ ] was amazing Shrek 2 was and it's still going Puss in Boots is a hit first of all Puss in Boots was not what I expected huh he was having an existential crisis he had a panic attack I thought he's gonna be doing like trying to watch Puss in Boots because I feel like donkey deserved a movie more and this [ __ ] didn't got series and this is Eddie Murphy Eddie probably didn't want to do it well I'm personally asking Edward Murphy Edwin Murphy Antonio was like I'm down man I remember we worked out all deaf and we was doing the all death movie awards which was kind of like against Oscar so white and he was like we should give Eddie Murphy a Lifetime Achievement Award and Russell Simmons said Eddie Murphy wouldn't come downstairs of his own house to accept an award from us I was thinking about how good Dream Girls was he did not win the Oscar for Dream Girls because of Norbit it [ __ ] up his Oscars campaign I have never forgiven Alan Arkin and the academy for giving Alice I and I love Little Miss Sunshine Jimmy early Eddie Murphy as Jimmy early is an oscar-winning performance and I liked I like Little Miss Sunshine yeah and I liked Alan Arkin and Little Miss is always good he's rolled up in the [ __ ] paper towel in the backseat of that [ __ ] Volkswagen half the goddamn movie you gonna tell me Jimmy want a reader the Jimmy had a character Arc he was down on it he was the leader he came up 10 years of solid gold ax come on man he's drinking milk he was in a love triangle between Princess Tiana and Jaleesa from a different world and you're gonna tell me he ain't getting no goddamn Oscar yeah dog I was so mad that was his he left he left that woman that was 12 years I said if they don't give Eddie that's got them Oscar and when he left I said that's right and you get the [ __ ] up out of there I was a child what did I wanted Angela Bassett to do just thinking about the old movies yeah you can't touch Eddie huh I'm just thinking about the old movies of Eddie's dog 48 Hours Coming to America Jim Carrey for every classic Eddie has Jim has one too like Dumb and Dumber is up there comedy-wise with double Dumber the first Ace Ventura uh the mask I know you don't like them guys I don't like the mask because he don't like silly he put the mask on and told him it took me a while and one more days Ventura with our sons I said hey there's no way you can't do it you make that now you can't you can't beat your mother and I forgot we don't support it we have forgotten about that but hurting places is great here's what separates Eddie from Jim though okay Jim Jim was striking out early before he even blew up before Living Color he was in several movies it didn't work easy Earth Girls Are Easy he was in the Clint Eastwood he was in one of them Dirty Harry movies so Jenny Murphy's first movie was 48 hours oh yeah he was great 90 million dollars in 1980s he wasn't even the sidekick he was like he wasn't like yes sir man they was at odds like [ __ ] you yeah and your couch that was great Kate you know I just watched that I followed that up with Trading Places equals equal Smash and he wasn't he wasn't a sidekick again and then Beverly Hills Cop he was so big because he was like yo be in this movie best defense is horrible but we we can throw you in it just to make the movie better so he came in after the movie was shot just to be in it so the movie could survive and make money ridiculous amount that's how big he had gotten off the first shot just to add him they were just like please be in it and he was supposed to be in Ghostbusters as Ernie he was supposed to be in Ghostbusters and so he picked Beverly Hills Cop instead smart choice either because Ghostbusters was equally absolutely and he has come into America and very few people have what you call a like cultural classic like people get mad if you haven't seen it right he has low-key too honestly Coming to America and uh Harlem Nights oh also life so it is I I didn't say it wasn't culture classic I said that Sister Act 2 was more no culturally relevant I didn't say Harlem Nights wasn't close enough cultural Boomerang too Boomerang Boomerang was was black Elegance they didn't think it would work they didn't think it would work it's my favorite movie his hair was brushed backwards you can't really pull that up everybody very like second string but Halle Berry wouldn't Halle Berry then I mean she was just coming out playing a crackhead and jungle fever it was 92. it's not Nutty Professor is the resurrection comedy peace Nutty Professor is no funnier than that but he has some epic elves he got some L Ron hubbers he got some LL Cool J's Pluto Nash that Meet Dave Pluto Nash is one of the biggest box office bombs in film history 90 million it made Seven damn it's one of the biggest box office failures of all that's when we lost 83 million dollars more than that because that's not including marketing and promotion that's just a film budget was 90. I don't think I've seen it to this day I mean I remember seeing it as a kid like I ain't going to see that yeah me they made like five in a row it was like what are you doing Dave imagine that a thousand words yeah and that Norbit Showtime not bagger Mr church not Mr Church Mr church is good Bowfinger both finger that movie made money what was the movie that he did was it Shrek so that was after Shrek so okay so it was kind of like during so when Boomerang came out in 92 it made 70 million and then after that he did distinguished gentlemen which nobody really cared about so it started doing this then he did Beverly Hills Cop three yeah tanked L Ron Hubbard yeah so it was just like Eddie's kind of falling off y'all another professor brought him back yeah Professor was a smash Doctor Doolittle he followed that up with Dr Doolittle another hit uh and then he dipped into the eye spy Showtime you know then it was like all right man come on man Bowfinger came out did well but it wasn't like Eddie numbers yeah but it was critically acclaimed and then he did a life there you go we did which did well it wasn't Crazy Eddie numbers because the budget was high it was a great movie though but we loved it we loved it the blacks were in and then he was that holy man this is a epic he's not striking out the batteries when was that oh Golden Child was in that was in America he did Mulan which was a hit yeah we got Tony right here right yeah Daddy Daycare that was one of the wins that was a hit critics hated it but it made a 100 million it's Quick Pass dang yeah and so I didn't know that made 100 meal Haunted Mansion didn't do that well 0-1 Dr Doolittle too another professor two they did well but you know nobody talks about those things what is Metro I've never seen that one Metro didn't do well I like Metro though I like Metro Mr Church Mr Church didn't do well but it wasn't like a movie to do well right but Jimmy early dream girl girls and Eddie was great in it he was and that's why it hurts so bad because I was like he's not gonna get nominated again you know you but it made 90 million he he was funny to me honestly it's inappropriate now it's honest it's still it it's [ __ ] funny I think it's very aware of itself it's [ __ ] problematic it's all the obix it's [ __ ] funny it's funny like my favorite part was she talking to Thandie Newman then excuse me Newton about being skinny she's like oh nobody love a big woman just oh man of course I can't even relate you know when you drive my car was hilarious in that movie that's what I'm saying man Marlin we only got the resume you do seems like a very likable person you don't know yeah for sure but I'm not just saying this stuff no no I'm just saying my friends conspiracy I like money all right we talked about In Living Color versus Saturday Night Live the whole episode it's a great conversation before we go random question generator we're starting with Tony this time what is something that you like that your parents do something I like that my parents do now or just throughout any time in life history of uh parenting I like the fact that I used to hate this about my dad growing up but I like the fact that my dad was cheap if you will like a saver you know going because I feel like growing up I was like man cheat man be getting us clothes maybe putting our money away and putting it in the bank we get it on Christmas man let us keep that but then looking back at that I'm just like yo he he's good at money management okay so I thought you won't spend a dime to this guy I just be spending stuff on Louis Tony got money under the mattress Tony Baker they'd be like Tony was riding the bus to the airport I still do I went back to it what is wrong with you because the personal car ride was mad expensive it was like 500 Tony you are go I've been told this man so many times okay then then Uber I try to tell Tony Tony be having tax bill like mine I'd be like Tony it ain't like you get to keep this money why are you riding the bus you boom I'm terminal five you fish should be dropping you off there it's still a ride I'm still getting the ride I gotta go to the bus and then get on the bus and go down you gotta wait for other people to get off and then you pay your taxes and somebody at Capitol Hill's like Tony Vegas an idiot give me that personal car because I would never ride the bus it was just mad pricey just for the ride man look at it that's wild 500 something dollars just for a ride to the airport I mean to be honest an Uber with traffic is probably around that here in L.A one-way 500. huh it wasn't One Way 500 that's their total though Fly Away 9.75 each way I get it 975 I mean yeah I gotta drive from my house to the Flyway that's like 27 minutes but come on Tony Baker is going to be on Sunset Boulevard opening a film Tony Baker is the man you're gonna see him in the bus looking out the window at his own building he doesn't even get dropped off in front he has a block down he has to pull the thing walking back if you're in terminal seven man I'm Delta terminal three every time I know I got it down to a science and it's not even that many people getting off when I get off and I usually leave Wednesday nights so it ain't you don't usually crazy traffic I hate it but the money management is you know because I survived you know I survived off comedy so I was like yo hang on you got it now I do have it now you got it now I'm just waiting for anything to pop up relax I'm relaxed you ain't I took two months off Kev that's big relaxation but then you came right back to work oh yeah but I took a whole two months off how many people can take two months off and not work at all and not even sweat it not a lot of people see yeah yeah LLC that's me relax okay that's me relax LLC wait what you said all that [ __ ] you can get written up Jay it's you I know I'm preaching yeah you got a write-off to make sense the IRS is like this idiot is still on the dog on the bus if you can keep the money fine you are just handing it to the tax man so you can be on the bus you're not saving it is what I'm telling you you are giving it to someone else who is going to go on the beach and have a mai tai while you're like Terminal 3 is fine they're like this man did it again ring me up again with a show price I just like the visual of you doing your taxes going all right let me right off this bus ride I'll be writing it down and they fund the police department that's gonna arrest you on the bus in your own oppression I ain't gonna make it easy I'm gonna say I've got to take whatever I have he got to pick me up Turn Me Up something yeah he went to the fourth season all through Europe Uncle Sam you have what's left I'd rather owe him than ever you'll be staying at the Courtyard Marriott I have people pick me up and put me in my bed I do I just be standing it was because our dog on room was across the street from Busch Gardens next to our hotel and there's no red lights on this street so I'm exhausted from a red-eye flyer this should be fast and furious 11 outside my room I was like [ __ ] they were like everybody does complain we're sorry you knew that when you put me over there I'm talking Ambassador at Marriott and that's saying Hampton Inn but y'all should talk to each other Mary I should have called I said he's big put him on the right side of the hotel on the other side of the hotel was so dark I'm quiet put me over there did you move yeah yeah it was like the car was driving through your room yeah this sounds a little bit like the brownie story [Music] I just said bro put me on the other side there was like we figured I'd be talking about it all right that's something you like that your parents I'll be spending money you don't I do you don't I I Got A Car huh I Got A Car give me something for it I got a car man I can't I'm done with it come on I'm done with it big Irish day what's something you like that your parents do well they're both dead so thanks Kev I said did at the end I thought you said dead I think you like that your parents dead I say your parents I said your parents do dead dude no uh probably just my pops was always able to make me laugh at it didn't matter where we were at I remember went to my uh my great grandmother's funeral and my dad could just give me a look and I'm I'm like crying but then I'm like pissed at him because he's making me laugh yeah that and then also just like little life lessons he would you know I'll think about every once in a while when it comes up what if I just started crying on it it just would tell me like no no we'll be okay we would hug you yeah we feel our feelings here crying every day man look out man I'd say that's uh those are it just always Billy make me laugh and then like little life that's what you got it from huh yeah yeah your mom or dad I was not gonna go dark with myself because her dad passed away too I wasn't gonna do a dark dad joke I've been I've been kind of in my bag with those lately so for my dad and there was a lot of stuff I could not do growing up I could not watch a lot of stuff on TV I couldn't go a lot of places well I really just couldn't witch crowd was the only line but again like Players Club soul food like I still could watch that and I appreciate that because that's how I built most of my personality through television and movies and my dad liked stupid [ __ ] so I'm over here passionate about Norbit and trading places because I watch these things with my dad yeah so you hate black fathers what you mean I love Trading Places you didn't like her that the dab movie he told her like she said [ __ ] by dead daddy really tell me if you just get cool like I love Trading Places how do you feel about white fathers [Music] no but so I watched all the dumb [ __ ] like Trading Places Coming To America with my dad I love that we were able to uh did somebody say Oh I thought it was like who the [ __ ] is Mel oh hi new miss lady that's so funny um hi but uh yeah so like we would watch the dumb [ __ ] together as a family and then my mom was just a real [ __ ] like she really just held us down like she made like my dad would do today when I got in trouble at school I knew to call my dad because I was scared of my mom I wasn't scared of my dad that's me and then when he died I was like [ __ ] now what am I gonna do I was terrified of my mom or my dad no no my I would push my dad to the Limit the way we would just be more risky with yes getting in trouble and to say this about my mom I like the fact that she made me love movies because she always took it I love your mom she is very supportive in Instagram stories oh yeah she's you got something going she gonna double tap she's in the whole group we was having a whole conversation like yeah Miss Sandy uh comment on my thing yeah yeah I want to spend the night at her house we had a show in New Mexico let us sleep here man I feel like you'll make pancakes in the morning I used to drag all kind of friends over there oh Sandy Baker she ain't got a [ __ ] especially nice yeah something my mom does that I I like my mom is funnier than me and she pushes comedy further so I'll be like you and dad having sex she was like nope because I started my period I'm like what the hell she's like you're described what are you doing like I never catch her slipping yeah she got it she always have one in the chamber you can never embarrass her like that sometimes be like I'm too tired man he'd be going to sleep or he ain't got I'd be like you were great I was like you can't mama and you enjoyed me yeah my dad uh he's very caring he'd be like he just really cares to make sure you like you good he'd be protecting me from um uh other people even in the family like just leave him alone I'll talk to him type of stuff yeah uh and also he just likes talking to people and he'd be talking to people easy they just be chopping it up some reason my mom fell down the stairs because my dad was talking to Mel we'll talk about it I was gonna tell you my quick story of Pops just give you an idea how my dad since humorous I was like 18 that came home in my uh just randomly my dad was like Hey growing up did you ever wish you had like siblings and I was like well I thought it'd always be cool to have like a little brother or older brother ah it's complicated yeah yeah but uh I was like yeah it'd be cool to have a little brother or older brother and he kind of takes a beat he goes ah okay he goes well you got a sister she's 21. I just met her she's white yeah yeah nice Jason come on that was a nice day we both said the same thing you're white then I'm like yeah she was white so I got to ask if you [ __ ] your sister I think he was like she's what yeah he said I got it [Music] I'm not from the south yeah all right this is good this is I saw us on the internet uh SNL versus Living Color I don't know how that became this episode you asked that one question I didn't get to it but that conversation was interesting too it was a good time we didn't finish the matchups oh we did finish we didn't match up everybody Head to Head yeah after Eddie versus who we say Jim yeah who who who gonna match up with Adam Sandler on the on that list nobody being Adam Sandler no maybe Jamie Foxx no no no no no no not boxes that's what I'm saying like and then Will Ferrell right behind him like you're going against Damon Wayans now you could do out of all everybody who's the most talented I'd say Jamie Foxx Jamie Foxx might be the most talented person funny is and then who has the best movies all around and that's the whole nothing now hold on now we got some Eddie Murphy God song hits Jamie Foxx actually come on dude all the time and Jamie plays me yeah he's classically playing piano Eddie Murphy can step into the conversation like I also have a hit that's not real that's not the unpredictable album Eddie Murphy got hidden television who's there SNL The PJs movies for sure okay but and then after for actor do you think Eddie's a better actor than Jamie we're talking like candy necessarily say that Jamie Foxx is without a doubt a better actor than Eddie Murphy I can't just say that because when Eddie Murphy dipped into drama he got nominated for an Academy Award he came early that's Jimmy early so he has dramatic chops that we just haven't seen because they're not casting them for dramatic roles but that's him he had to miss the church he had the Dolomite he had the what you call him Dolomite is not really a drama I like Dolomite though I'm saying but but we know that he can do drama we know we know Jamie can do comedy streams but I feel like Jamie's what we've seen of because you use this for Denzel too in my estimation at their level of acting what they have or haven't done is up to them like the fact that Denzel hasn't done a comedy isn't because somebody would if Denzel said and I told we talked about this before yeah if Denzel said I want to do a comedy like Robert carbon copy and uh what's that carbon copy that was oh that was early I hated that I hate it like Robert De Niro Meet the Parents level he would have that opportunity I would love to see him in something like that me too because he's when he did that interview with Jamie he was living here with something I'm like his natural thing is funny but he hasn't done it right so my point is Eddie Murphy has he was such a big star if he said I want a serious drama and I want three or four of those he could have had them Eddie took that check of all them bombs he was casting 20 million 15 million so that's his career choice while Jamie was bundini brown and Ali right he was he was he got the supporting nom for collateral which you told me I didn't realize he got nominated for he got nominated twice in the same year in the same year versus actor for Ray best support and actor for collateral that's crazy Danny Brown those are three amazing things right Willie Beaman I know it's not a serious role but I believe domestic yeah uh his special is one of my favorite comedy specials I might need security absolutely his joke The Brady Bunch piano bit is my favorite joke of any stand-up comedian because nobody else can do that joke that is such a unique to his personality joke it's my favorite joke uh his characters on The Limit color there his dog on stories on regular interviews on podcasts that's great I'll be like man and we ain't talking about so it's great oh yeah So Jamie to me is the most talented person on Earth he's one absolutely anybody is more talented than Jamie Foxx what Jamie Foxx has a better singing voice than Eddie Murphy and better music without it yeah without a doubt those are two different things oh my God Eddie Murphy can also do Impressions we've seen them soaking Jamie Foxx so it's not like he's gonna watch him and impress okay I'll give you Impressions it's a wash Jamie Foxx don't have classic cinematic comedies booty call yes I personally love booty call because several classes I'm saying Talent not yeah we're not talking another Talent is attached to a comedy it's attached to the performance it's all attacked here you go honestly could Eddie do Ray and could Jamie have done any of Eddie's movies yes I think Eddie could have done Rick I think the thing about Jake I think Jamie looked more like Ray Charles physically but I I have no doubt that Eddie Murphy could pull off a Ray Charles I don't I don't doubt that either honestly I think Jamie was helped by the fact that he could play so he might have turned in a better performance because Taylor I think was Taylor hackford that directed that he was saying like we'll get somebody else to play the piano and stuff like that disagree yeah I mean hey man y'all sleeping on Eddie then no no I think the the Cinematic thing is a good point like Eddie Eddie's movie career is probably unparalleled as far as like the character work that Eddie Murphy does is ridiculous no I'm not agree with you he's supposed to not know that that was him in the barbershop and coming to America speaks volume about your comedic talent and your Eddie's ability to play everybody in the goddamn scene except for maybe one person is no argument there star power and talent are not the same that's what the talent is crazy but I to me Jamie is because this is how I defined it if Jamie Foxx were just a stand-up only he'd be one of the greatest stand-ups if he was like I'm just gonna do stand-ups right if Jamie Foxx was an R B artist he'd be one of the greatest r b artists if Jamie Foxx was just an actor right the Jamie foxxy actor right nobody Eddie can't be in those Lanes stand up and movies he could but the music the music music is the only thing Jamie has on them Jamie could be respected in each lane if that's all he ever did in his whole career but he just focused and did uh and he had the TV show too right you know what I'm saying Eddie never had a sitcom that he led where he was the face yeah but that's not a sitcom TV was his springboard there you know what I'm saying TV it was the music that separates me I never compared it to Eddie I'm usually doing other actors because Eddie has the stand up and he has a bigger stand-up career honestly looking at this Eddie has like some good good strong five or six move but he ain't got no crazy filmography I think Eddie I mean Jamie Jamie don't have no crazy filmography because I'm looking right here Ray of course Ray J oh Django we even talk about Django The Soloist follow us he was good the collab baby driver he was good in that a lot about a citizen Jamie Foxx is just Mercy yeah he was good enough always good damn near yeah it's just the pictures that sometimes he picks don't always you know resonate but see I don't think Jamie has had the opportunities that Eddie's had because Eddie was a bigger star I feel like he could have done anything he wanted to right I don't know if Jamie could have done anything he wanted to so that's a knock on Jamie that I don't think he could control where Eddie was picking the movies I don't think Eddie was like this is all I can get well you kind of even even even if you have the control like all right so Eddie's coming out of a comedic element so he can't just come and say I'm gonna do a drama he can not but who's who's going to be like who's going to be that confident and that Jim Carrey wanting uh Robert look how long it took him to get to that and Jim Carrey also again he was acting before he blew up he was in drama because he was in comedy so he was already doing that from hard comedy to uh Goodwill Hunting he was like I'm gonna do straight drama no comedy but look at that span though like Eddie was probably like I just want to do comedy right now and then it was just and then it was like Dream Girls and then boom that was like 15 years but look look what happened when he stepped into it he was great but Jamie got about five six seven of those because he stepped in early he stepped in as soon as uh actually I'll probably say Jamie has more dramas than he has comedies absolutely he's a dramatic actor now Julia that's right he he's a dramatic actor now so once he stepped into uh what you call it later Any Given Sunday oh yeah yeah Jamie Foxx that's when the gear switched for him it was like yo I'm doing these dramas from here on now but that's my point that's why I say he's more talented he has a more prolific spread of good stuff he's got you great comedy I can't give him the more talented right off the bat Yeah Eddie Murphy is the only Edge is the music that's the only thing with the acting no said the boy was the music okay all right yeah yeah that's the different point no because you keep going back to Eddie Murphy had the choice to do drama I don't care about none of that because I'm making the point came out of talent wise yeah you have seen the breath I'm sorry the width of Jamie's talent in all these disciplines where he was great you haven't seen that in Eddie that music career comedy as at best the music is the only thing the music is killing him but he hasn't hit though yeah who let the dogs out as a hit ain't nobody gonna be like but that album though Millie vanilliant who let the dogs out still crack and still get the party yeah when you born in a cruise yeah let's not forget Jamie struck out musically at first he did but he gave unpredictable that 1994 album was great yeah Kanye had told him we're not doing the music like that listen to him Eddie Murphy got this song with Michael Jackson what's up with you remember that we closing this episode out we're supposed to be sure but Tony don't want to listen to reason uh we love y'all these podcasts are crazy it uh if you want to submit stories which we do sometimes on this show uh you can listen to us wherever you find podcasts we'll see you next time Jamie Foxx the most towns person in the world and cut it before Tony can talk
