[Music] well done for making everyone cry thanks I can't believe I'm married to someone you'll never know seriously hats off that was and out the amount of people that have said I watched it on a plane and that was a mistake would you like because Eyrie they're leaving home where you're going back to home and I mean even for me like I had only moved away from home about six months before that and it was only to London but like anything at all is massive and I was so homesick I wish everything were different and I just cried through the whole thing crate yeah always a treat yeah was it a big deal for you for this to be your first time playing an Irish character it was a huge responsibility it was something that I was going through but also you know my mum and dads had moved from Ireland to New York and the AEC's and had essentially gone through the sort of modern-day version of that journey and you know did actually write that as how I would have to go down to the pub to use the landline in order to call home every few months like I grew up with that story and that experience through them and it was so important to me to get to get that right you know you just have to not think a whole country will watch this I did I did we shot the Irish segment like 20 minutes away from where I grew up so it was this like really sarena things like this is very well as a child and now I'm an actor and all these people have come out who I knew when I was a kid and they're like extras in the film does anyone know a good pub yes yeah I do I actually do actually well I saw your thanksgiving show my name is Lady Bird it's weird you shake hands yeah let's jump to Lady Bird which I'm mildly obsessed with this movie as I'm sure lots of people say have you forgiven Greta Gerwig for making you rap do you don't see it in the film though do you have you seen it did they release the same it's been discussed yo yo yo I'm Lady Bird what's up it's I think it started out like yo yo yo I'm Lady Bird and I can be your senior class president or something like that they should release it they should release that absolutely should what they did beforehand to hype me off as they played Eminem lose yourself so I'm sitting there and we're in this auditorium and I've just got Eminem playing to my ears and blasting through the speakers and I'm like crying second Davis and it was one of the first I think it was like the first hey as well so I was quite nervous but and your first day it was one of my first days yeah I think it was it was at least the first week that's how much she puts it through your paces I mean cuts it up films and lunch but Jensen and how we get to see your work sophomore album out the window I got to change my career ruined it thank you very much fine my best original song has now gone yeah tell me what would your favorite scene be from that movie as an actor one of my favorite scenes was the opening kerosene with Larry I just loved it our college trip took 21 hours and five minutes and it was one of those things that just sort of clicked into place straightaway we also shot out at the end of the film so Lori and I knew each other really well we knew heavier on March we knew what our relationship was you should just go to City College you know with your work ethic just go to City College and then to jail and then back to City College and then maybe you'd learn to pull yourself up and not expect everybody I loved that we did a lot of dance numbers like we you know we had like two proms and stage musicals and I loved that so that was really fun and the other one is give me a number with the path right yeah oh okay do you have any idea what it costs to raise you and how much you're just throwing away every day give me a number because I love it there's a role where as an actor you can strop so often you know characters I'm allowed to be proper teenagers but you're like yes give me a number Iren there's do you give me a number for how much it costs to raise me and I'm gonna get older and make a lot of money and write you a check for what I owe you so that I never have to speak to you again there's all these strappy moments in the Lady Bird and then what I loved about that like that was sort of familiar territory for me because it was actually it was a serious moment it was one of the more serious moments in it well I highly doubt that you will be able to get a job good enough to do that where it just felt like it was drama and that was something that I was used to but all the funny stuff was was very new for me sure also that Oscar nominees hug you had at the awards Meryl Margot Sally you yeah and then Fran on stage just like killin in her pajamas that happened to you I know in your life yeah home classy as that though that she did that unbelievable so cool very very cool yeah we must discuss succession before marriage not the other way around we hope we do not vex the earth not in the least madam I appreciate your honesty let's talk about Mary Queen of Scots we see why our cousin is so fond of the earth which kind of blew my mind a bit because I was watching all the way through and and thought of all the big acting challenges you had in this movie yeah I want to give you just a few other way I don't freak you out okay the accent yeah remember you murder your sister Oh cake dialogue yeah it is your voice razor speaking French yeah acting whilst at full gallop that's hard yep it's hard giving birth yeah also we bring in air to Scotland going into battle acting in armor because our swords are not just for sure why not and a lot more and I don't give too much weight on the movie many more things was there ever a point where you may have thought I have bitten off a bit more than I can chew this is such a roll how am I gonna do it justice I definitely always how am I gonna do it justice like it was something that had just been waiting so long to do so by the time I finally got to do it I was like well I'm just going for it now because I've waited six years to do this are you prepared to be its servant what'd ya do and a gallop and also just looking like a horse master when you're not is difficult you'll be my queen king yes yeah like acing your line but falling off the horse in your master was my husband well my horse just wouldn't move for me it wasn't that he wasn't sort of like ever spooked or anything he just wouldn't do anything from me because he knew I didn't know what it was down so I'd be like come on Prince I'd be trying to ride the horse and act like the Queen I'd be like come on and I'd be kicking him and like digging my feet in Germany just look at me and be like now hmm feels like a no day no day again today sorry I love these poor Prince that's she's Wonder Woman's horse and he knows it and he knows it that's what it is that's where it's a shame you know he's going agent now yeah and there's an ego yeah and there's your problem he didn't have that to begin with no he's lost that that's bear that scene I'm sure everyone's talking about is the you and Margo meeting of the minds scene was there an element of crying convulsing apologizing as you kind of cache shreds off each other yeah after we did that first take where we in the second half the same where we do actually see each other that was our first time actually saying the other one as the character so I didn't know what she looked like she didn't know what I look like I didn't know how she was playing Elizabeth and vice versa do not into their hands our hatred is precisely what they hoped for and we did the first take and I'm sure they didn't use any of it because we were like can you just please help me Elizabeth we didn't that was probably unusable your heart has more within it than the men who can't fool you they would do well to watch or work I will not be scolded by my inferior after we did that take we just like held on to each other and wouldn't let go because it was such an emotional day for so much crying should you murder me remember you murder your sister and that's what I like about it I like it and you murder your queen what movie quotes from films
