okay I'm out here in Bolingbrook Illinois you guys ever get those leaks in the roof to wall area the area where the wall meets the roof and you're always wondering why there's so much water in there and yet thousands and thousands of roofs get done every single day and this one thing always gets omitted let me show you real quick what I'm talking about so this right here is called ice and water shield or leak barrier the GAF makes a really strong leak barrier if she sticks the ground a little well if you come over here here's where you reap with a plywood decking meets the wall and a lot of times it's not financially feasible for the homeowner to take off the siding in order to run this leak barrier five inches up the entire wall so what you see here is we actually put a leak barrier which 99% of time I see a lot of roofing contractors never do this they never put it underneath the actual tins the baby sins this is you're flashing that's what protects the gap between the wall is a big hole right there this metal is supposed to prevent the water from driving in behind there so what's cool about this is we also run the leak barrier behind there so after they actually install the nails no water will get driven behind there so make sure you ask your roofer if they're going to put in a leak bear against all the penetrations everywhere where there's a possibility for water to get it again Robert revived exteriors signing out feel free to reach out to us eighty four seven three oh five two eight six six or eight four seven nine nine nine
