Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
About matches my thoughts. They really need to do something about the lag (hoping for a tethered option), and add that planned virtual monitor support for Windows. It's just about useable though, they are real close.
It'd be interesting to see how much his take shifted with Immersed. After using both, Immersed wins hands down for me - even with a bunch of quirks and improvements needed, it's still by far the better choice.
Really scratching my head at the lack of updates to Workrooms. 3 months since release and only minor tweaks have occurred. Surely this is the main game for the Quest Pro, the core of its main use case. They should be hyper focused on improving it. You would think they would have 100 engineers just working Workrooms. But the way updates are happening it feels like they have half an intern doing it.
Unfortunately, this video does not encompass work being done, it’s only focused on “facial & eye” expressions.
I would gladly trade all of that, for a capable device that nurtures and inspires work in vr via robust and intuitive UX & UI design making interactions and tasks seamless and efficient.
I have used my Quest Pro for work. Quite frankly.. it’s a horrendous and frustrating experience.
Super uncomfortable forehead pressure (I’m still looking for head strap by 3rd party) nothing on Amazon with at least enough reviews to make me take the dive..
Outside of discomfort —>
Meta missed so many opportunities with this headset from a software side to truly make it pro.
This is the last risk I take with Meta, regarding… buying into a new form factor they put out.
I’ll wait 6 months and even then, I’ll see if it fits my use cases - I’m hoping..
Apple’s Headset is super comfortable and provides the UX & UI capability to foster and support work being done, education, research and creativity.
Quest Pro unfortunately.. is doodle on a stick.
