I Trained like LeBron James for a Week!

in one week I'm flying to Utah to play in the NBA Celebrity Game and I have to get MVP but in the last year I've gained over 30 pounds and I'm coming off a partially torn meniscus and that's why I'm gonna be training like LeBron James for the next week to get myself an MVP form for basketball workouts it was only right that I worked with the same trainer as LeBron James Chris Johnson Chris about to be my trainer for the entire week if I'm not working as hard as LeBron okay let's go get it first thing we're gonna do is test my Basketball Baseline to see where we're at from day one to day seven the three bass lines we're testing is can I dunk 10 mid-range and 10 3-pointers oh wait a minute I've been working a little oh god oh no that was a terrible for my mid-rangers I made eight out of 10 that makes it very difficult for myself at the end of the week NBA 3s I went 6 for 10 which is actually pretty good so I have some good bass lines to start out with another Baseline if I can dunk I haven't dumped in 2023 to be honest with you for you actually been really cold coming in Baseline was solid but we're going to raise the bar so Chris Johnson is good friends with Dwyane Wade who's the captain of the celebrity game team that I'm on and we made a deal if we can improve on Friday we'll either FaceTime Duane and ask for him to be a starter or we'll have him come to the facility and see if we can negotiate this since it's 15. let's do it if I start in the celebrity game all the way better chance at getting MVP I have to improve so day one was all about just getting my base ready we did a ton of shooting we ended up shooting over 500 shots that day a ton of the NBA threes getting me ready for that because there's a huge difference than a high school three-pointer which I'm used to how you feel right after that I'm good my cardio needs work LeBron James says two workouts each day starting with strength so I hit up the gym with my boy CJ who's actually the strength and conditioning coach for Sierra Canyon we're at Browning place coming in yeah for the first half of the workout we worked on a lot of recovery stuff for my Meniscus getting all the muscles around it stronger ready to go then your boy hits some upper body yes sir we're getting it in after two great workouts I had to get my body right I had to get some food in me as you guys know LeBron's got a chef getting a meals so this week I had to bring out chef Jizzy to help me you know we've been working out very hard my body needs the nutrients so what are we cooking today so today we got a salmon pasta it has all the nutrients you need for you to be filled up and ready to go let's go I am so excited to try this I got a five-star restaurant at the crib living like the goat training like it's it's a good life I gotta give you a hug he's amazing this is like it's like those things I've eaten my God the king loves his red wine me personally I never really drink red wine I have some today it's actually good the recovery LeBron does that we're trying today is cryotherapy if you go into a chamber that's negative 160 degrees Fahrenheit I've never done it before I'm a bit scared but what better way to do it than with my friends let's go it's not cold then I don't do good in cold we're gonna turn into an ice cube this is probably worse than the North Pole we gotta get into some special gear so let's change boys do fit what you think ready for it where did you come from Johnny yeah I was in there no idea boys it was amazing to have my friends there to support me going through it it made it way easier [Applause] I feel like I have so much more energy than I did two minutes ago LeBron spends 1.5 million on his body each year two minutes fifty dollars so these things do be adding in the lane right I'm coming down I think he might be on my team though workout number one done let's go hit the second workout I got to the gym working out before me with Zaire way so I had to wait of amazing flavors in my mouth oh my God yes again thank you so much dude this is the best video ever it is time for Recovery today's recovery choice is going to be compression pants LeBron has been known to wear these I've never worn them before so this is my first time trying it let's do it all right we got the same exact ones LeBron used has LeBron ever pulled up here we are in the area not that I'm aware of but Sunday morning he probably has some at his house honestly all right I'm here I got it on so far I can feel it slowly compressing but it hasn't really like hit my legs yet if it was LeBron it would have already hit his legs my legs are a bit smaller POV you got the normatex on one thing I've learned over this week is recovery it's essential but it is very boring you just sit here ah yes cheers thank you now I really am feeling like LeBron [Music] oh my God it's crazy I feel good I feel like I kind of feel the same as I did walking in here maybe I'll feel it tomorrow more like tomorrow I'm gonna wake up less sore and after my compression pants a historical moment happened in Lebron James's career he just witnessed LeBron break the scoring record [Applause] thank you who wakes up this early day three trainers on the way not gonna lie I feel pretty sore especially in my quads but mentally I'm ready to get after it I'm excited here we go the first half of the workout we focus all on recovery for my Meniscus I tore it in my last video I uploaded to this channel on this trampoline trick shot we did but with all of the recovery stuff I've been doing it actually has been feeling really really good so that's a great sign day three strength training is done we have crushed it let's workout number one cross off the pool is about 50 degrees perfect for a cold plunge here we go three two one deep breath I'm done I'm done okay that was freezing but I am glad I did that according to the internet LeBron says he loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and apples peanut butter for a snack so I'm digging in same exact snack a meal fit for a king I feel like I haven't made myself peanut butter and jelly for like five years it's good though apples and peanut butter lethal combo delicious working on that basketball hey look at the handles bro put some respect on my name my handle's low-key looking nice these days the main focus of the workout again was shooting and cardio took so many NBA threes at the end of the workout me and Corey decides to do a little 1v1 Corey won he's honestly hella Shifty I gotta put some respect on his name he's got great defense too I'm guess this is exactly what I need though you know what let's see if Jess can die coach asked me to try to dunk it again that's one of my bass lines it's only Wednesday but hey I'm gonna go for it [Music] we're in the building yeah I completed one of three of the bass lines so I only need two more for Chris to call Dwayne Wade and tell him to make me a starter after the workout I asked NBA player Brandon Boston if you had any advice for me go out there be a killer okay and you gotta talk make it interesting I'm saying I'm gonna talk trash strictly to Guillermo yeah yeah Guillermo I'm looking at you bro I will dunk on you you cannot guard me you worked super hard today put a lot of pressure on my knees so we are back for some more cryotherapy but this time we're doing localized cryotherapy another tool LeBron uses and we're gonna focus on my knee the meniscus this is definitely gonna help I was definitely a bigger fan of the full body cryo than the localized cryobe it did look really cool just shooting out of that little gun I have to say this is so sick real talk this is it my knee feels pretty freezing and numb oh this feels good this is awesome I needed this I really did my body's not used to all this working out on day four we had to mix it up in an interview LeBron James said this sometimes I stay at home and work out sometimes I'll go to an actual class I've been to like Versa climber classes or spinning class today I'm doing my first cycle class here we go [Music] it's like classes no joke I'm dead tired ready to get after now got the cardio in that's number one most important on this day of training we did a lot of 1v1s which was really nice because earlier in the week I did pretty much all shooting to warm up he had me doing the dribbling drills that literally felt more like a memorization drill watch guys [Music] [Laughter] this has been training from a skill perspective now it's time to put it in a live performance five four three two [Music] four three two three [Music] [Applause] Chris took the W that's why he's the trainer yeah Squad my body's not used to this multi-workout today routines I'm pretty sore everywhere especially from the strength training Marcus Morris just pulled up the train and we're out of here NBA players just coming in and out that's crazy workout was finished Next Step let's get some recovery in [Music] that's a lot of ice ice my muscles very sore so this is definitely gonna really help me that's a lot of ice though no no MVP MVP oh I'm here I'm here three two one get in there [Applause] it's so cold dude that was way worse than the cryotherapy they say on Game Day LeBron will take a nap before the game earlier in the day I invited a bunch of friends over to play pickup tonight so I'm gonna go shower and take my nap I'll be back I woke up from my nap smelling the most delicious thing coming from the kitchen cheers y'all like oh my God you are an amazing Chef thank you so much this is so good I'm gonna finish up this meal get ready for tonight to play some pickup basketball with the boys all the homies came through yeah it's basically simulating an NBA game day but in my backyard so we're just gonna play some basketball have some fun get some work in man let's do it hey hey oh more points go I've worried on that all week [Music] we went 2-0 tonight that's what I'm talking about it's a good run though always fun playing with boys weightlifting tomorrow baby let's get it it's day five y'all not positive my entire body hurts living like LeBron James is not easy by Friday my body was beat bro I was not trying to work out on Friday but we just focused more on stretching flexibility recovery the main recovery method the NBA players use is just getting a sports massage so I had my boy Ted come through to the crib the massage was probably the most effective recovery method out of them all it made my hips feel so good okay right in time I'm about to be big chilling today is the most well-deserved rest day of my entire life my whole body hurts so I'm gonna be sat on this couch all day got the food coming to me life could not be any better I've been spoiled this week very delicious it was now the final day of training and when I walked in the basketball gym I saw NBA All-Star John Wall so I asked him for some advice for the game yeah win MVP you play anything you want to win yeah MVP is the goal final day of basketball training and at the end of the workout we're testing the Baseline we had our final workout today we actually worked on the four point shot and your boy hit one took another one two don't tell me I'm making three in a row boom three in a row and then your boy even hit four in a row I think I'm almost ready for this Celebrity Game and now it's time to see where we're at with my bass line so I've had three bass lines one was the dunk which I got earlier in the week and the other two are the 10 mid-range and 10 three pointers we're gonna test them now starting out with the mid-range you know I've been shooting thousands of shots I literally have to beat eight out of ten but my jump shot has been feeling amazing your boy it started off in the corner I'm known to have Hall of Fame Corner shooter foreign this base on top of the key call me cash nasty it was wet like water bro I haven't missed I just have to hit these next too I have to get nine boom and my clutch I think I'm him [Applause] now he was all up to the three-pointer starting in the corner that's my hot spot y'all already know your boy what two for two in the corner foreign missed two in a row I was four for six I gotta hit three of the next four bang shot is up shot it's good y'all already know I'm a corner specialist bang I've improved on the Baseline but can I make eight okay [Music] I've just met my captain Dwayne Wade is in the building right there let's go we gotta talk to him I've been working on my four-pointer Chris Johnson told me that Jessica been in the gym I'm feeling very confident about team Duane what do you need from me on Friday we got to put on the show you have a good time make this memorable make this the best celebrity game they've ever had and just do your thing go for it if you want to oh don't go for MVP I'm gonna say if you see me get hot don't be afraid to activate crunch time I
