hello fam it's been a while welcome to another new episode of jelly's communications yes uh today we are here uh with a special mission uh because soon it is uh christmas i wanted to make sure that my friend santa had some snacks uh for the long road he has we uh will uh try making some snacks and uh yes i did say we because they had some special guests uh they're both first time first timers is at high state anyways uh today we will work together as a team special team a task force if you may the best most marvelous and beautiful cookies for my friend sam let's get right to it so you guys can come in now okay wait do it again do the last part again no she's coming right now hey hi today we have mark and ten what's up uh and what are we doing today we are we are making snacks for our friend santa santa and rudolph santa santa claus is coming to town really low yeah [Music] as you can see our beautiful voices are also ready to greet santa anyways uh guys we're probably gonna um it's not gonna be an easy road yeah you know what with our teamwork and we need we can make it our own creativity originality yeah we are originally we are going with the manual we're going with our own brains this time no manual and what's special we're going to make an organic cookie brain we're making organic cookies we want to make sure they have enough food for the ride so uh let's get let's get right there guys as i said before uh because we are a special test scores uh prepared special tests for task force clothes uniforms accessories accessories that is what i want to fit the name give it to me butter i think that was the biggest one oh my god let me put in the hot milk for you so i was demonstrating the wrong way of making cake all right so this is the no no this is this is one try first let's try it because we definitely want to show you guys what not to do and that is to put warm milk inside that's like that's cereal oh i need more cause i'm cool more warm the warm milk wait they need to go outside and get the outside temperature too maybe become a dough we need something cool we also have a refrigerator anyway are you actually serious wait what is going on is it working i i mean i don't know which one's right like yours is so different that i don't know which one's right oh you gotta straighten it out i need more of this all right i'll open it for you wait do you know covers everything like because like it turns out to be like alive i think it's ready yeah let's just put this one in then so you finish off that one i'm gonna make a very big one okay guys i'm gonna make a very big cookie for both of wait to start for someone whose birthday is on what will you talk december 25. yeah don't we have to camera no but dude yo jcc it's like your second year yeah did you guys like talk about that oh so uh during the long break of johnny's communication center yeah it was actually the second anniversary of johnny center all right y'all give it up [Applause] and i can't believe how fast time moved moves moved moves goes by and i just want to say thank you for all of your support your family are the reason i do this to make you guys feel a little joy and actually have a lot of fun and do a lot of fun while doing it as well i remember the episode last year where i was with mark in new york new york and we were just talking about how the year was going by and how we wanted to like oh my god work the next year as well yeah you want to talk about that all together now then why not like i am okay it would be nice if you invite me to more johnny communications yeah i really enjoy doing this kind of stuff late no rest remember last year you were like i didn't think you'd go on it for this song yeah i really didn't and it's the second year yo and like the first the first the very first jccc was in thanksgiving yeah like two years back yeah but next year i'll we'll have a lot more of ten i guess yeah it's not busy anyways let's talk about next year's yeah 2021 how you want to spend your 2012 hey yo 10 come on what you got what you got first of all how was 2020 okay okay wow 2020 was a busy year for me crazy yeah get to travel a lot with mark oh yeah in the beginning of the year yeah in like america make new memories it was a very busy year but i really enjoy it it's not tiring at all for me so much i'm glad i hope my 2021 would be more busier than this year oh he wishes to be busier oh my goal for 2021 is i saw you guys doing like you know the johnny with mark the rap song oh we should do actually oh yeah we can you can rap i can sing and yeah you can sing with us i'll get to producing yeah he'll make sure he'll make the beats too well all right that was that was a little off top actually that's a bonus idea i guess yeah it's like my 2021 goal that's a good goal all right guys all right so if this makes it to the video we're gonna have to make one like next year like that's just promising collaborative problems the collaboration well for me well i think 2020 was wait i need to get another pick it was an unexpected year honestly yeah a lot of things went like we all thought it was going to go right but it took a left honestly um but we learned to improvise you learned how to how to yo dude that actually looks like dog poo oh my god given the circumstances that we were given we did make the best out of it you know we made a huge album i'm actually kind of proud of what we did this year like as a team it was like making cookies it was pretty crazy yeah but we made it and um for next year i just hope we get to see you know the world again y'all like i just hope it goes back dude i like how you said that i want to see the world now man i just want to see the world again next year hopefully well um hopefully 2020 i feel like it was a year we uh we improvised as well yeah we are it was a like there are a lot of comments like that you talked about it when we when we won the award but like yeah like 2020 is the worst year but not for nct i feel like we tried to um work through this yeah together and uh yeah we figured out a way to make the best out of the situation and i feel like our fans felt that too which was actually uh very i was like thankful yeah it was like a pat on the back yeah like we did what we had to do and like the fans are liking it like you could tell like they're you like the fans are proud of us uh kind of motivates our like gives off like the engine for next year as well like you can start uh can we start assuming things are getting better but we can just we can we hope yeah that's what we're all hoping for yeah we hope that next year will be a year where we can actually interact more with their fans yeah yeah we can do so much more in a better situation but we did so much in this current situation we're in and i want to say that i'm proud of both of y'all and myself i guess i was going to give you oh and that is that's iq that's our cue in all seriousness it doesn't go along that well with chinese communication center and it's christmas let's go wait you get the gloves on and whoever got these gloves is like really like a little small one you're gonna be using them i think we need dude mine looks so good i was just gonna say that yours didn't come out while when you were like your mind looks so good your cookie got cracked mine was like so small no because mine's a hard cookie look look at my flowers let's say put it out yeah i'll just do 10 minutes yo my gingerbread man became fat until my tree became not a tree my heart became a circle or a teardrop whoa my looks so good it's oh wait is it hard dude they're all soft no yo wait what was the problem yeah you want me to take that out yeah wait wait i got an idea wait i'm gonna make this gingerbread man like no one's gonna stop me are you sure dude you're gonna break it get out of here yo yo i want to actually try that though oh wait i want to take that yo it's pretty good it's one of the best brownies i've ever had i want to make this mark no but it actually tastes like a ten oh my i wanna make it you crack my cookie oh that's yours charlie charlie charlie he broke my for the last part we have to do the tasting because i don't want santa to eat something that's not delicious that is correct he deserves the oh but dude this is the heart oh yeah that is the heart i want to try the leg that you guys broke off i actually want to try i want to try a tennis cookie okay who made this that's mine okay let me try marks oh it's not bad he hit the president he's like happy no i'm excited wow let's try the green tea powder is actually pretty strong like very strong tastes like i'm eating a plant i'm eating grass special you got to mix it up it's not that bad it is good right it's not that bad what am i eating i'm kind of curious about how it worked though it didn't work it worked it became a soft cookie okay anyways i just want to say uh thank you guys for coming out and helping me with this uh making some cookies for santa and rudolph uh good work this year mark the holiday i know your your throat hurts from practicing all that from that what hey yo yo no matter what they say no matter what they do after you know you watch that video of uh yeah from home oh we literally like have known each other for the longest time and that's why i like that he actually video was kind of emotional yeah he came to me saying that he almost cried actually yeah i was with him no but it was emotionally yeah i mean like and you guys are so young dude you were saying i mean like i always had that baby face but you guys were like young not like this i saw how puberty hit you guys no people saying anyways you guys were so young we were all young yeah but 2021 we're getting older we're we're getting older but we're getting cooler no no but the thing is like i feel like we're the same like inside at least yeah yeah anyways yeah yeah thank you guys for I was laughing then crying then laughing again throughout this whole episode. My most favorite NCT Daily videos are ones that unexpectedly take the turn for the touching, and this one definitely did. I started tearing up when JohnTenMark talked about making the best out of what has been a horrible year, and how they seemed proud of themselves—I was happy to hear that because I've always thought these guys were too humble to the point of self-deprecation and looking down on themselves compared to their seniors, so to see them be proud of their achievements this year made me so happy. I always kind of thought these guys have always been crushed by the pressure of following in their seniors' footsteps and it resulted in a lot of self-doubt and self-deprecation, so I’m so incredibly happy to know that THEY know they really smashed it this year.

I don't know about you guys but I'm so not used to seeing idols be vulnerable on camera in this way—I think JohnMark's case, in particular, being North Americans probably helps (I just observed Western artists tend to be more honest and open about their struggles as opposed to kpop idols), and I'm glad they gave fans a glimpse into their thought processes throughout the year.

If people were skeptical about Ten missing his NCT best friends, this video will definitely prove them wrong. I teared up again when he asked Johnny to invite him to JCC more, and when he said one of his 2021 goals is to do music with JohnMark too. The fact that Mark said if that little part makes it to the video's final cut means it will happen, then that must mean SM won't be starving us too much of inter-unit interactions next year. Damn it SM, just give us the contents and we will give you the coins! (SM intern if you're here, please make it happen!)

All in all, this video was too precious and I'm so glad NCT 2020 happened. If we're not getting A Cup of Coffee Pt. 3, at least we got this. These boys and their friendship are too precious for this world and I'm ready to fight whoever puts them on blast.

Edit: it seems like NCT2020 really was not initially planned, like Johnny talks about so much being improvised. Im really curious what they would have done otherwise. I guess a lot more touring, and WayV continuing seperately in China. Perhaps they had proper promotions planned for that. They might not have even intended to "unite" NCT & WayV back again if it werent for 2020?
