I stayed up for 5 days with this Sims 4 Update

welcome back to the sims 4 today we're going to be looking at what is added in the brand new update for the scenarios so a little while ago we had a main menu update and then more recently there was another update that completely changed the scenario menu and it now looks like this and i kind of find it a little bit more annoying i think on one hand it's better but i don't like when i put my mouse over it it completely makes the whole thing disappear and i can't read what it says anyway that's not what we're here to talk about today that is part of the update but uh in the delivery express that came out just recently we got a few new uh scenarios ah dang we have 74 days to do this one we better get started no i wanted to try i want to i want to try this this this this okay i can't i can't show you and put my mouse over it this one i just want to be able to see it bigger okay that's better that works all right so seldom sleepy difficulty hard supposedly you know i do really enjoy the scenarios when they have a challenge so i do want to try this one out a sim has been curious about the night that wants to explore everything it has to offer can this sim learn what's out there at night or will they simply fall asleep so we click play now this is also a new menu so choose a household you play for explore the night let's go and you save new household i don't want to ruin it in my other saves ah okay is this because i have mods on or is this just broken i'm gonna turn my mods off okay yeah it's definitely because of my mods i thought it might be because i haven't updated them yet so if there's ever a game update and when you launch the new update there's something weird about your game or something broken try turning mods off first because that will usually fix it anyway i'll have to update those later so let's get my sim ah good old samaj run right here he is uh loves the outdoors good loan up collector train i don't think we're gonna really need to be earning money in this so i don't know if we need to be a collector let's just find a soul mate i mean we're not actually going to do that but why not okay let's go of course we'll live in a brand new world with beautiful builds gonna go in the starter home okay so we've started explore the night check out the scenario panel to the left for more details i think i will explore the night all right so stay awake for five days wait five days have your sim not sleep for five days be sure to stock up on sleep replacement and even coffees okay well hang on hang on how much is sleep replacement i didn't okay i'm gonna stay awake for five days now obviously i reckon the easiest way to do that would be to be a vampire because they don't really need to sleep anyway if you just keep regenerating the vampiric energy especially if they're leveled up sleep replacement okay that's only 400 points and that instantly feels the energy need the other thing we could do is potentially like start a club and then rally the troops because that also boosts your need dang it i should have done the battle uh thing where you can travel and boost your needs okay so stay awake for five days all right that's probably the challenging part if we collapse and fall down tired it's over well it's not everyone's have to do it again befriend a ghost and invite them to join your household okay okay okay um this is a brand new save game so we might have to find a sacrifice for that brew and drink coffee easy drink a sleep replacement potion that's also easy we just need some satisfaction points actually we've already got 400 points so we can already get one right away okay work night shifts okay so we're gonna join one of those jobs work at night time acquire the night out trait alright so we do need quite a bit of satisfaction points to get some of these things all right and order a drink at a nightclub at lounge bar okay so half of these are pretty easy i reckon staying awake the ghost the ghost thing is not that hard it's more so finding a ghost so we can use or making one and then we need to see some points so how many points do we need for the night owl i feel like it's a little bit oh only a thousand okay well aspiration have a boyfriend or girlfriend go on two dates hmm that might not be the quickest way to do this let's have a look at what other other options are see i do feel yeah i should have done the curator i feel like the curator is pretty easy just collect collectibles frogs fossils send some items away breed some frogs how come we could probably do pretty well with that oh the eco economist starts off pretty easy too okay then it gets much harder the leader of the pack might be pretty good all right well first thing before i unpause and we actually start this let's get the sleep replacement because we need to do one of those anyway i'm not gonna drink it just yet because obviously our energy is full the goal is to never ever go to sleep and ideally complete this in five days flat all right the other thing we're gonna do work a night shift criminal entertainer uh mixologist part-time babysitter fast food employee okay i reckon first of all let's find a job come on faster faster there we go all right i was gonna do entertainer because wait that's only nine to f wait that's not enough oh no i guess we have to level up in the career to be able to get the night shift i should have checked that well i think right off the bat the criminal is night shift for sure five to twelve okay that should count hopefully yeah let's try that all right we gotta find a ghost friend surely that katrina or someone's gonna show up right let's go to the bar because we need to order a drink at a bar anyway there's gonna be a bunch of people there we'll take some photos of them we'll be best friends hey man i'm gonna say hi to you you're the first person i saw so you're in now what do i actually want to do because we need to get we need to keep earning points as long as we have 400 satisfaction points at any given time we can buy the sleep replacement and we got to be really careful of that so i'm wondering if we should do some of the moodlets tell a joke do something romantic we could we could do those i did a funny introduction does that count as telling a joke i don't think so oh wait actually i think it did oh no it didn't it just changed great hey man um i'm gonna just quickly take photos of you so we're like best friends and then i'll invite you back to my place you might have a little bit of an accident a little bit of an oopsy-doopsy if you will and then you can be a ghost and join our household okay enough talking i don't have time for talking dang dude looking good let's get those photos rolling okay we don't need to be like best friends right now but i think it'll help us doing romantic stuff so all right let's do another little round of photographs and how we going pretty good one more session of photographs done and that should hopefully be enough to get us whoops get us started all right okay we got a little bit of lag while the game figures out all the photos okay okay all right let's do a little bit of a romance because we need to to add you to my household i also joined household because that would be easier so i don't have to keep like chasing and then i can just control control them and it'll be a lot easier that way man you door for everyone now actually i think i need a computer because i find the quickest way to become a ghost let's let's put it that way the quickest way to become a ghost is using fireworks because you know we could do the old-fashioned swimming pool thing but that takes ages this okay that's 35 bucks you know let's not spend too much money this is pretty quick this just starts if you light these inside it starts to fire almost immediately as long as this guy doesn't put it out now i locked the door forever hang on locked all four let me just say everyone just to make sure no one comes in here or can get out now magic oh wait can i just oh he has inferniate okay well i could have just done that i didn't realize he had the inferno spell i should have checked but let's light the firework skull offering so hopefully we should see him pop up around the place all right let's go to the toilet i have work in two days i guess actually probably means tomorrow that's fine because as long as nothing takes more than five days we should be okay all right brew and drink coffee how much is the coffee machine we gotta do that that's an easy one get there they go joe jockey 50 bucks that is easy go brew coffee what else is easy well the drink yeah we kind of have to wait for night time and i need a i need i guess i gotta go around maybe we'll go do some collectibles after this because i have to actually uh get some more satisfaction points there we go brewing a pot of black liquid gold yum yum so sad it's okay man look up all right let's have a little drink and i should hopefully do i have to finish it brew and drink coffee energy is going up that is a good sign hey we did it first thing off the list all right now collectibles i think this world has some but yeah i feel like being a werewolf would have been a good idea to just dig up collectibles that's not a collectible that's just i think there's just kind of plants and stuff around the place which is fine and then you have to be a werewolf to dig up collectibles so i think we might be better off just traveling to like oasis springs or something or willow creek and then coming back at night time for hopefully the ghost appearing all right we're here in the park uh take a selfie you know what i i will do that you're in a great mood to do that as well take selfie here we are beautiful let's take that photo i will take that photo i want that uh what else can we do give pep talk in the mirror take a f okay take a photo you know i will because all these are really easy points so may as well find a collectible okay i will do that uh pep talk in the mirror you know what we probably could go do that right now i love this base game build and just how well lined up everything is isn't that just beautiful look say what you will about my builds in moonwood mill but i mean this is egregious i get you know what is it because hang on let's see oh wait it could be better okay so the thing is with base game the move objects cheat did not exist so there's no way to put it here even with quarter tile placement um smooth placement doesn't really get any closer either so because move objects didn't exist in the base game it couldn't go there though having said that they could have just designed the building differently so it didn't do that like i mean even just putting them here they would have been a better choice but whatever all right let's give myself a pep talk because we'll get a few more free points and then let's get some collectibles pepin ah that's enough all right has the have the collectibles spawned in yet yes okay look for frogs there so yeah i'm just gonna go around this whole area and just do all the collectibles digging looking for frogs etc oh you know what hang on ah i guess i can't but can i can i can i use this i don't say ride bike i don't own this bike but that doesn't matter i can ride it because that will be a lot quicker a bike here yeah all right first collectible 25 yeah all right now i'll get the other i'll get the other nine now all right milestone complete got me 75 points or 250 it's pretty good what's my actual energy out energy's still good and we still have the initial sleep replacement too so we can use that when we get low anyway so that's pretty good all right let's pop back home because it is 8 p.m and let's hope our ghost friend shows up tonight alrighty let's uh hope that he shows up that would be nice in the meantime collect five crystals three frogs i feel like that ain't gonna happen take a photo of okay i don't know where they are so let's not do that complain about problems collect a new metal dig on special rocks ooh see that's a hundred points but i don't think there's gonna be any special rocks here i need my ghosts to show up though well i needed to go to the bar um okay well i have to do a few things so i might have to leave my ghost friend they might still pop out later if we go to oasis springs and go to this bar hopefully there's some rocks with metals in it here oh guys night yeah all right let's just go what a drink oh my god what is my favorite drink i'm curious oh i really should buy my own bicycle too because that's going to save a lot of time because i need to go out and get some stuff well i need to get frogs so i guess that'll probably be good too to get that oh actually there is a we're at the park collect five crystals and three fossils we should be able to get a good selection of stuff here we're just gonna have to wait for stuff to spawn in it'll be stuff here but i think i okay we just got a time capsule that sucks that didn't help me at all take that one oh this okay this one should be a crystal over here okay we got a fossil which is good oh what the crystal one was just a stupid time capsule again okay let's extract the fossil because that will count there we go got one fossil another time capsule dang it don't want that dang time capsules why are people bearing so many time capsules and why do they all contain my sim statues it's about something else we've got the hundred points for the uh the metal there which is good we finally found a metal um open that as well i guess what i will do with all these you know what i'll keep these because you know what we've got a pretty good my sim collection going on right now keep finding dang time capsules who doesn't want fossils and crystals but they're like impossible to find hey we found one crystal i've got a hundred points for that which is actually great we have enough to get another sleep replacement we still have one there it is so we have enough energy which is great you know i'm starting to think the collector aspiration probably wasn't the best one to do you'd probably make more points just by having money and as we found out earning a lot of money is actually really easy why not just do that all right so what i'm gonna do oh actually what i'll do first is uh get rid of some of this junk in my inventory and by some i mean probably all of it except for the sleep replacement of course we do need that there we go ah that's nice now we grab out the digital the good old digital sketch pad and we just do some painting on it because that is the best way to make money not that we're trying to make money i'm actually just making money to do this aspiration like so we get points so we can do some of these things you know that's the goal now actually do i have work today i guess i do three hours you know i've got work okay do you know what we should do what trades let's do home studios better painting natural light is better painting and sunny aspect will just be happier so that's good let's do those and actually know what else is good tiny home you place 88. i think i do i need to be the middle size or is this okay no i need to be tired okay i need to remove some tiles uh all right well let's put you in this room let's remove this room entirely okay i guess we don't need that bedroom either to be honest we're not sleeping so let's get rid of that all right so we are a tier two tiny home which gives us skills increase at double the rate which is exactly what we want now this is a tiny home yeah you know that's actually kind of cute actually that actually doesn't look that bad i mean it's got no bed in it so it doesn't really work if you want to live here but that's just a home from the outside looks nice all right so that should help us increase our skill quicker so i'll just queue up a few paintings let's just do no no don't bark you do three in a row because that should hopefully be enough time then i can just sell them from here oh yeah look at that skill gob now yeah wait is there a lot trait that increases ghosts or am i making that up maybe it's a challenge yeah we just can attract ghosts i should have just done that so there's a lot trait that would just make ghosts appear on the lot or a lot challenge i should say so look whoever appears first either tomax or a random ghost we'll just add them to the household go work in an hour uh okay your needs are really bad there's no reason i can't be taking care of his needs i'm just my night shifts which is fantastic let's go ahead and drink my sleep replacement yeah i know you're stinky let's just make sure we don't fall asleep first okay there we go full energy and let's go take a shower and with a bit of luck we'll have some ghosts showing up tonight let's have some vegetable dumplings we don't know that sounds delicious actually never mind cancel that oh it's tomax oh yes okay so it is actually our good buddy friendly can i just like i'll ask about you today all right get out of the shower dude let's go talk to toe max time max welcome all right so what we're going to do to add a ghost to our oh my god that's so creepy when you pause and i just turn a look at each other so invite to household we need to be better friends so with ghosts you have to have i think a pretty much 100 relationship and again the way to do it is just taking photos so let's do that okay we don't need to we don't need to have a whole conversation we just need to add you to my household which i guess we just need a lot more points for i do need another sleep potion so i'm going to buy that first because i don't want to end up in a position where i don't have enough money to stay awake or enough satisfaction points to stay awake so i'm going to get that right now now could you please leave me alone because i actually have stuff to do so i'm gonna go back to having some vegetable dumplings for dinner okay you're haunting your own tombstone right sure whatever i will go ahead and turn off the uh the ghost challenge though i don't really want that anymore all right so we've had our food let's do some more painting because we got to get our money up and when you skill up and painting money goes pretty good it scales pretty well so let's just do a bunch of those and the digital sketch pad if you don't know look how quick it is to do a large painting it just like fills up the circle like so quick okay not if you're talking you know what i might need to move you out do you have to stay in my household because i'm kind of here look i'll just send you on a mission you go over there that'll keep you busy for a while oh let's go to the toilet okay which is it six paintings for 1300 bucks look not that much right now but we did also want to earn 100 or 500 simoleons from our little moodlet no whim sorry so that got us a few points not a lot but we've nearly hit the first goal of have earned 5 000 so that's great and i'll just queue up a bunch more paintings again and we'll just keep doing it basically well i've got a bunch of photos to sell so let's get rid of those apparently he wants to get a promotion at work which i think is probably possible yeah i mean look we've got if we go to work and perform well tonight we'll be fine let's toe max up to but he's still over here he's just playing games on his phone yeah have fun i mean look you can't die again can you so you'll be fine all right sell those six or sixteen hundred there you go first little thing completed there and we just rinse and repeat for a little while to be honest uh because at this point we just kind of have to make sure i stay awake which i think we've kind of got covered as long as i can keep my uh aspiration or satisfaction points up keep buying that and i also do need the night out rate which is a thousand so we do need to farm some points here i'm getting a little tired and i'm kind of worried about going to work that low because i don't want him to come home and then still be tired to level up i need 10 000 so i'm going to see if i can i get rid of some stuff here and earn some money well i say earn i'm not really earning money i'm just deleting stuff giving some of this outdoor stuff ah the good old sims way of just deleting landscaping selling my trees and hoping we earn more money get rid of that we could probably get rid of this whole fireplace thing yeah here we go all right ten thousand dollars what is this the heck glimmerstone oh okay i guess i got that from um our spellcaster all right so there we go two i only got me 200. i need 20 000 in reserve now apparently i've got zero in reserve and i have ten thousand oh there it goes okay well let's just quickly check i swapped a mansion baron we might get some free points no we won't okay uh what about painter extraordinaire this will probably be good we're just gonna get inspired okay what i might do though is i'm gonna drink this now look our energy isn't that low i know but i'm just a little worried about going to work and then him coming home and immediately passing out so let's it in five days so we didn't sleep once we did it all i mean that was fun that was actually a fun little challenge i think the most challenging part of it was having enough satisfaction points to get the sleep replacement potions and that worked and i think knowing the little tricks to become best friends really easily with photographs to be able to get the ghost to move in also worked pretty well i guess i could have probably done that a bit quicker if i just went to the von hart estate in windenburg and just got one of those ghosts or did that lot trade at the very beginning but thank you so
