I Stay In A 5-Star Luxury Hotel In Tenerife - You HAVE To See This!

[Music] I've just checked in and I tell you what this Resort is ridiculously big so big in fact that they've given me my very own golf buggy to get around the resort but more on that in just a moment let's go and check out my insane Villa with ocean views come on it is so quiet so the reception area is up there and each of these Villas all have their own private pools which we will check out most probably in the morning because the sun is starting to go down but let's go and check out my room I'm in number two 2 22 I really love the uh the color scheme the Moroccan theming as well now whether or not she was lying but the lady in reception said this is one of the best views in the whole Resort she probably says that to everybody who checks in let's go in this is one huge Suite let's go and check it out little welcome note I was actually expecting maybe a welcome little drink or snack like I have seen in other five-star hotels what's in here the mini bar it looks all very enticing doesn't it so when I checked in I had to put £100 or100 on my credit card for incidentals so I have no idea about how much any of this is let's have a quick look here's the price list the crisps are 550 so if I want a packet of these €550 I don't know if that water's complimentary or not uh a nice little Nespresso machine though like that ooh that's nice isn't it little tea and coffee once again I think they don't think that people will want to use the kettles because the kettles often that I find in five star hotels are a bit um a bit naff I mean look at that it is basically like a travel Kettle but I guess I do like to have a cup of tea in the morning so I do look at them there's more water down there there's a bottle of red wine I think we've got a oh a wine chiller with I I hope this is not censored is it going to be censored do I dare touch it hope I don't get charged now there's some champagne there's some wine in there there's the coke there's the beer I've got some chocolate and some Spirits for those prices I don't think I'll be touching that but that's actually really nice I'll probably find out that that wine was complimentary this is a lovely table nice place to sit and relax maybe have some dinner up here although most of the food is in the restaurant unless you get room service like the ceramic pots and then over to the living room area lovely nice big space I mean this room itself is just massive this is a really nice couch actually would mind one of these couches in my house huge TV a little ottoman type thing and there's a little only chair over here I'll show you the view in just a second so I've got two balconies one from the living room area and then one in the bedroom let's go and check out the bedroom because this is insane look at the ceiling look how much Headroom I've got that is one big bed look at this oh wow it's like suede it's actually been brushed that is really nice and these lights how funky are they there's a reading light there that is what you call one retro radio alarm clock I love that the windows are Ultra thick double glazed and it's so quiet perfect for the bedroom and sleeping let's try out the bed that's nice and firm wow looking up to the ceiling over here got a phone the remote and wait till I show you the bathroom because even I was like wow that's amazing I've got even more wardrobe space down here and a little safe Ritz Colton dressing gown and matching slippers I hope they have the logo on them but wait till you see the bathroom yeah this is amazing with its own Skylight I just can't get over how nice it is the marble all the way around here oo hair dryer and extra towels that have been put in a soft closed drawer very nice Ultra polished what free stuff have I got some mouthwash a shower cap a razor we even got a comb is this a real flour oh let down it's plastic some body lotion a nice soap look how they put the flannels that is so cute a box of tissues love the lighting around the mirror there is another robe there right next to the shower and I have to say it is a pretty small shower as I head in look how polished that is I can see myself in that very clearly the shower head is um something I've never seen before that's just weird it's almost like a you know one of those brevel toasters or a frying pan turned upside down they're all rubber Oh wrong one as always always happens you push this in right that is what you call a very soft shower also got some shower gel some shampoo in there there is the throne just here with this closed off door it's quite tough and look at that we have a bday does anyone actually use a bday there's a phone in here I am really surprised the hotel of this standard doesn't have a very nice little push button chain but this all plastic I've seen these in public toilets before quite surprised about that we do have the fold on the toilet roll but check out the bath this is so cool because surrounding the bath all these I I believe open up yeah they do so I can open these in fact I can open all the little bottom ones as well and check out the view while I'm having a bath although to be fair I'll be so low in the bath I or will I hang on oh hang on there's these smaller windows down here which probably help oh yeah now I can hopefully no one else will be able to see me in the bath I don't think I've ever seen a bath though this clean I mean it almost looks like it's a a brand new bath that is really nice almost don't want to get it dirty the attention to detail with the polishing though on all of the silver even in there and I can't see any little black curly hairs also got a skylight up there is it bad to say that I'm not a big fan of the bedroom I really like the living area and I love the bathroom in fact this bathroom is just like wow I mean it feels like you're somewhere like really tropical over there with the bath but let's go and check out the balcony the Sun is setting so the glare is going to be a little bit much so I apologize we'll see it better in the morning but uh this is balcony one of one now what I could have done was paid an extra couple of hundred EUR more and I would have had the one below this that has its own private pool which we can see from here so again not so private because I'm looking down on them but there's my other balcony but there's my other balcony from the bedroom just go and check it out can't believe I'm going to say this yes the balcony is lovely but these Sun beds are way too big for this balcony I mean like it's really tight in here you got to really squeeze around but it is west facing or kind of Southwest facing so you do get to see and we hopefully will get to see an amazing sunset so I've been given a map of the resort and the place is just ridiculously big but because the resort is so huge there's only one way to get around and that's my very own private buggy this is insane so I can use this to get around the resort should we go for a little trip I think I know how to drive one of these things it's got to be easy right going a little bit steady so as uh Sunset is literally about to happen I thought we'll go and check out the uh the beach and also this infinity pool which looks amazing at Sunset there's also a restaurant down there but I can't check that out till tomorrow let's hope I don't store this as I go no good that's L Vista bye so I had to do a little driving test before I took this out um and I had to sign a WAV you have to have a driving license to drive these as well anyway let's head down because Sunset is happening in about 5 minutes they've got their own little road that is next to the main road to use so you just see basically other people in their buggies and there's little parking spaces and somewhere to charge thank [Music] you easy I bet you I've missed the sunset yeah I've just missed it because there's some clouds in the way it's a little bit of a game but this looks gorgeous this is what you call an infinity pool so they have a lot of restaurants here in fact it's actually quite mind-blowing how many restaurants they've got here and when you're spending just one night how on Earth am I going to fit them all in so I've picked one of them one of the one mellin star restaurants to go and check out I've got reservations at 8:00 so that gives me just enough time to just had a call you definitely need to book in advance because all the the MCH sty restaurants are all fully booked so the only option I have um there's a couple there a vegetarian restaurant and there's something called the Mirador restaurant so I'm going to have to eat in there I don't know if the same place where I go for breakfast in the morning I don't know but uh I'll get scrubbed up and we'll go and check it out well the lady on reception said this is probably one of the best rooms for Sunset and uh she wasn't wrong so I'm going to just enjoy this and then we'll go down to the restaurant to have food I am actually really gutted fact that even though I arrived at 4: and by the time I got to my room and the lady showed me the golf cart it was 6:00 when I tried to make a reservation all the reservations were gone in all the restaurants and the place where I'm eating tonight is also the place where I'm going to have breakfast so I'm not really showcasing the restaurants as much as I wanted to but don't worry I will do a bit more of a tour around the hotel in the morning cuz this place is huge there's like a shopping center in here as well and I'll also check out the pools and breakfast can we just for a second appreciate how big these curtains are and how much effort it takes to draw them I mean look just open them they just I've never ever been in a hotel room or anywhere like it that has curtains that big have to show you this just went to turn the lights off right before I left and as I did I kind of Knocked this and then realized it's not even on properly it's not very five star is it I'm 4 minutes late for dinner it's 8:04 I've got to get on the buggy and get down there yet I forgot to tell you as well if I lose this key it's a €50 deposit which I almost lost in the room because I couldn't find it I've got to hold on to this key otherwise it's going to be expensive might allow to drive these if I've had a glass of wine don't don't worry I've only had half off we go and by the way if you wanted to know the top speed right I am flooring it right now and the um I think the speed must be at least 5 m hour this is definitely worth coming to this hotel and staying in that room for this buggy alone is so much fun coming in hot remember to take the key Tim see I always follow the rulle rules we were expressly told not to park our buggies outside the restaurant there's one there's two there's three I park sensibly in the buggy Park so apparently this is good for seafood let's check it out that's a lot of wine it's busy in here tonight thank you that W Le lovely thank you very much fine thank you well it might not be a Michin Star Restaurant but I can smell the seafood and it smells really good what the food's like ah this is local wine from Lera okay oh yeah very nice yes thank you very much here we go with the beef tenderloin and um these little white bits that you can see are actually mashed potato I've also got some um some dips some tuna and some bread outside in if you're a meat fan if you're not I apologize right now but uh that looks pretty good that is very good well I've gone for a cheesecake tener style this looks like a cber kind of cheese nope def new cheesecake so it's basically like a cheesecake with the um with the topping on the side very nice though dinner cost €79 I'll break it down for you so the bread which I thought was complimentary cost €220 uh the water which I also thought was complimentary but no it wasn't cuz I didn't ask for it was €6 the wine that I had one glass was €16 the tenderloin beef was 43 that was very nice and the dessert was € 12 there was a little bit of tax added on to that came to $792 compared to some other big five-star hotels that I've stayed in I didn't think that was actually overly that bad if you take the wine away and the dessert €43 for a nice bit of beef and fluffy Airy mashed potatoes not bad what have you to wake up to look at that the only problem is where I am the golf course is kind of around here I heard them cutting the grass at around about 8:00 so that did wake me up a little bit because I did have the window open so just before I go to breakfast I'm going to check out my pool because obviously there are three different pools I can use even though there are many more pools in the resort I'm only allowed to have access to a few one thing this place does not have is um a lot of signs to point you in the right direction cuz I've got lost quite a few times actually apparently it's down here I couldn't see it for my room that's why I was a little bit confused ah here it is wow there's nobody in the pool at all just yet it is very early it's lovely though I always say getting up early to go for an early morning swim is the best oh they have got a bar in here so the thing is I could have booked one of these rooms that have a pool view or an ocean view so I did choose an ocean view but I don't know I think I would have preferred a pool view now love how the pool just zigzags wait that's the that's the shower that's one way to get shattered before you go into the pool by the way if you're liking the video the price does include breakfast so let's go and check it out off we go going downhill was so much fun well this is my view for breakfast in the same restaurant as last night unfortunately it's a buffet but you get to choose a few items off the menu alak cart so as always you have to order the eggs separately rather than um going up there and getting them so if I want post eggs or fried eggs eggs benedict I have to order it from here see what's on offer then we've got yogurt pancakes there's waffles not a big fan of Spanish bacon so I think I'll leave [Music] that some fresh fruit would it be wrong to have champagne for breakfast maybe with a little bit of uh orange juice as well why not the orange juice is fresh orange juice cold section and cereal well nothing on the buffet took my fancy so I thought I'd go for the eggs benedict and the French toast although looking at the sizes I might be hungry afterwards cheers probably can eat this in one mouthful well breakfast was lovely and actually the French toast was quite filling I'm now going to go and check out the beach there is a little train that goes from the top of the resort all the way down here but because I've got a little buggy I don't need to but I can't take the buggy on this road I can only pull up to where I was just eating breakfast let's go and check out the beach that looks like a very nice Beach I can go down the stairs or there is a lift and this lift is pretty cool you'll see why because goes down at an angle like that good morning sir good morning how you doing sir well thank you at the very bottom there has little break so try to hold on the very very bottom hey little B the beach go Beach there nice little ride down to the Beach saves M legs so you can get your towels down here there is also a little beach bar the resort seems to have pretty much everything you could want really there's Gulf there's a beach there's swimming pools and I thought to go back up I would take the train which is actually quicker than the lift so I thought I'd start from the very top and work my way down there's a little bit of a shopping center up here and then down to one of the many pools in the resort the size of the fish down there so up here you've got a little bit of a shopping center a few high-end shops mostly Spanish I think could be wrong never heard of that brand before few restaurants up here which have quite an amazing view with waterfalls at that you don't think that you're in the canaries but it feels like you could be in the Caribbean let's head to the pool wow now this is what you call a pool considering the time's around about4 to 11: I'm very surprised that these Sun beds are not full up already that's probably because there are so many different pools here and a lot of the Villas have their own pools as well there's another restaurant here overlooking the pool which must be lovely at night well there's nice nice as this pool is I'm going to go and check out the infinity pool because well actually everywhere you can get free drinks up until 6 p.m. and that also does include Carver now this is my kind of pool can't beat a good infinity pool and it's even better when you're pretty much the only person in the pool so you get free drinks up until 6:00 p.m. I've got Carver and they have actually filled it right to the top as well so yeah included in your room rate you could get free drinks free soft drinks coffee Cara up until 6:00 p.m. cheers so the britz Carlton in tenie an amazing hotel in fact you wouldn't believe you are actually in tener reef and I think that's what a lot of people like about it it's also a very quiet Hotel I mean it is quite a way it's about 25 minutes from lost cristianos but you know if you want a relaxing holiday and you want some winter sun this is a great place the only issue I have is obviously check-in is so late 4:00 and if you are only staying one night to maximize your stay you've really got to turn up around about midday to get the full use of all the facilities in because checkout is also at midday so it doesn't leave you enough time yeah that's the only thing about when you're paying this price for a room is that you don't feel like you get enough time in the result so I feel it would be great if checkin was a little bit earlier than 4:00 but especially this time of year it gets dark at 6:00 so if you do do what I did and come up 4: you probably got 2 hours till the sun goes down and then if you don't get up early you've only got a few hours until you have to check out although you can stay here for most of the day and still enjoy the facilities but I've got to go and get a flight the best thing about about staying here was the buggy that was so much fun driving around and actually you really did need it cuz it was quite far away from the beach a little bit gutted that I couldn't eat in one of the melin star restaurants but my wallet is happy so how much did it cost to stay here to stay in the Villa that I'm currently staying in it cost me 9006 for one night and it does include free drinks from 4:00 until 600 and then from 10 until 6 the next day that you're leaving did you like the hotel
