I Started My Own Aircraft Dealership - LookUp Aviation

how's it going everybody welcome back to mojo grip mike here i promise you that title is not a click bait i am launching my own aircraft dealership here in the east coast many of you have seen me go back and forth to north carolina well that's the reason why i've been going back and forth as you see in this hangar you see a bunch of planes in here so the aircraft dealership is lookup aviation and you can check out lookupaviation.com to get more details but really let me tell you what this is about because this is a big big undertaking even for me and one of the reasons why i wanted to jump in this pool is because i'm a pilot as many of you have seen a lot of my videos and you've all seen me go through the process of building an airplane and one of the services that we will offer through lookup aviation is we're gonna build planes as a matter of fact we're just closing on a 27 000 square foot hangar that's about 20 minutes out from here and that's where all of the build is going to happen we've hired a team of professionals that's going to run the shop we've got our own ap mechanics there our technicians and also people that are hands on all they do all day is build airplanes and as i said the reason why we're doing this myself and my partners we've all been through the gauntlet of building an airplane and as much as we enjoy the process there were a lot of things that could have been done better and when you look at just the build assist facilities all around the country even around the world we think it can be done a lot more efficient and part of that is just the customer experience you know you're paying quite a big sum to to have an airplane and generally speaking when you show up to build your planes um and we've got bentley in the shot here which he's also going to be part of the staff believe it or not he's going to help us keep an eye on things but as i was saying part of what we want to change is just the customer experience itself we think this process should be more streamlined so for example when you come to look up aviation to build your plane the process starts from basically getting inquiry you tell us exactly what plane that you want and if you go to the website we already have ready-made models that you can choose from so that's one of the things we're not taking you through 12 different shops where you have to get your own kit your own avionics your own electric wires and and so on and so forth so what you get is a one-stop shop where you can get everything done and with the ready-made models that we have actually this plane is one of them the mojo sling a lot of you saw that i basically went full scale on this airplane and if you were to see another plane in front of me max's plane that's another full loaded airplane but you don't have to get everything that this airplane has and that's one of the great choices that you'll have with us you'll have simple models that's already built out you will get to customize your own airplane your own interior if you need to your own paint on the outside and then choices would be what type of avionics that you want mostly we're going to be using garmin because we love garmin products but based on your mission you can decide how much equipment you do want in the airplane one thing we are putting forward first is safety and because of that we're gonna make it standard for all of our airplanes that comes out of this shop in north carolina all have parachutes on board so that's a safety fin and part of your build also include training whether you're a brand new pilot or you have your license already we'll take you through that process as well you can get your license with us so imagine having your airplane built and while your airplane has been built you also start training in the same aircraft or something similar that way once your plane is done the transition is very easy as a matter of fact the sling tsi is one of the easiest airplane that you'll ever fly it's a lot of automation in this airplane so once you get in that left seat you go up once and you should be good to go now we are keeping things simple we've got the sling tsi which you see right next to me here we'll also offer the sling ngt which is the two-seater and controller engine and also is in the light sport category but also if you want a high wing the sling high wing will be offered through lookupaviation.com and with all of this you only get one price that's another simple step that we're taking again you're not dealing with 12 different shops and being priced on different things you have one price for your entire plane and that way you know exactly what you're getting and how much you're paying for it but guess what if you're not up to getting into a brand new airplane and perhaps your budget is for a used or smaller planes we also have that option at lookup aviation if you're looking for say a grumman tiger cessna whatever the case may be you can also look us up and we'll have a listing of all the used airplanes that you can get directly from us ultimately think of lookup aviation not so much as an aircraft dealership but as a service company we want to bring modern and tech into this industry that to me that's my personal goal because i'm a tech guy and when i see how a lot of things are done so far i think it could be done a lot better we we're actually going to be housed in one of the original piedmont airlines hangars and what we wanted to set out to do is just revolutionize the way people buy build experimental airplanes we want to offer a white glove service because we've went through the same process ourselves with building these airplanes and we know what we can do to improve the process in general so we're excited to offer
