so I have discovered a new way to crash the game thanks to the latest snapshot and the new game rule spawn chunk radius you can see here I have the chunk borders enabled visually this will help represent what I'm trying to do so some command blocks that are spitting some messages out in the chat and they're all on different chunks so spawn is at 0 I'm going to teleport to th000 and everything seems to stop messaging so the command blocks are all disabled this is because the spawn chunk radius is set to zero on my test world this means spawn is not loaded in anymore if once load spawn I'm going to set the radius to one and this is going to enable two chunks around spawn because if this is one chunk this gets loaded when the spawn chunk radius value is one which is one chunk outside of Spawn this is 48x 48 some reason it's impossible for me to load only one chunk now let me set it back to zero if I save and quit and load my test world again you can see that fancy load screen disappears it's this thing that world loading screen seems to be informed by the spawn one chunk radius rule for example if I set it to one and load that square is so small now what I'm going to do and if you've known my channel for the longest time you'll probably be able to anticipate what I'm about to do now the spawn chunk radius maximum value is 32 which makes sense right ever since 1.13 is mang's been placing limits on what the player can do to try to exceed some values in the game to try not to break it which I don't like now value is 32 and when I load the world again you can see just how big the square is now and you can see since the loading is a lot slower that's what the square looks like now I've done some math um I cannot visualize for you just how many blocks a spawn trunk radius value of 32 will provide so there is a rationale behind making the limit value 32 this is exactly how many blocks it's trying to load for you but spawn which is still fine because it's a flat world so things are a little bit more efficient however what I'm going to do now is use NBT Explorer to change this value to 33 which once again increases it by another 32 blocks by 32 blocks on each side which is now 67 chunks by 67 chunks which is 1.15 million blocks so now once it's loaded we can try to open the world again and you'll notice it will stop at 94% and there's just something so glamorous about this cuz the world just doesn't want to load anymore cuz we stuffed it up and for anyone who wants to know why it's 94% it's because of this I need to end the video here because there's one more thing I'd like to show you you'll notice that this box increases in size commensurate with the valy that you provide so what happens if you just make it a very big number first of I've got to crash this game it's not responding it's crashed okay here we go let's see
