I Rode a Scooter Across the Entire State of Florida

scooters have been in the news a lot Birds scooters lime scooters so the plan is to see how far can you take one of these electric scooters [Music] what you know Black Panthers are in this area and they're dangerous and he's about to be so he's gonna be miserable 200 3 miles in so when I was a kid I loved skateboard scooters like anything with wheels basically I was the first kid to have Healy's I still hang on I still have Healy's and I had this dream ever since I was a little kid to cross an entire state on a skateboard and then late last year I finally did it it was long it was extremely difficult so since then East scooters have been in the news a lot Birds scooters lime scooters if you're in a major city you've seen them all over the place some people love them some people hate them me I just want to see how long they can last so the plan is to see how far can you take one of these electric scooters so the state I picked is to do this adventure is Florida now live Florida well there's a little thing in Daytona every year called Bike Week where basically it's just everybody gets their motorcycles and hangs out together it's like a biker reunion I knew down on them anyway the idea is to ride a scooter all the way up the coast of Florida with the goal of bringing my scooter to Bike Week I just imagine me on this electric scooter next to a do with a gas guzzling motorcycle I think we'd be friends now obviously an actual bird scooter is vo offense inside of a city so I can't take that long distances so I needed to find an off-grid electric scooter so that I could take it wherever I wanted to go and I knew the one guy who could help me with this like next weekend well hopefully we have scooters so I got on a plane all the way to San Francisco to meet Chuck the king of electric scooters all right guys so we're out here in the Bay Area this is Chuck Chuck what's something that tell me a little about what you do yeah we're so we're the electric scooter guy so basically anything to do with electric scooters that's what we do he's gonna help us figure which one is the best for this ridiculous little excursion we're gonna do yeah and so for the next three hours I tried literally every single electric scooter that Chuck had to offer to find the best one after testing the scooters we figured that the emu Cruiser was our best option thanks to Chuck just thank you for your help you're very welcome thanks for coming all the way I'm Ann and a few days later in Atlanta what's up heavy yeah so Vora motors was cool enough to send three of these in hopes that we could charge them and never run out of power [Music] wait let me my phone real quick they just made an 11 hour drive down to Fort Lauderdale eleven a-hollerin still - what do you guys last remember these we're sitting in my house in Atlanta Big Boy's foods these are emove cruisers all right so we got to boosted boards for you guys we've got three scooters for me we've got two AC converters to power up everything in this car the last time we did this it was so painful so we're gonna sleep tonight hit it tomorrow morning you're a Florida boy tell me what you think about this row honestly what I'm most scared about that the forest right here is that there's gonna be like Gators on the road at like 10:00 p.m. that'd be so can you imagine be getting chased by Gators at like 10:00 p.m. in the middle of a swamp bro now that we were in Florida with all of our scooters and all of our people it was time for some rest we're good all right it's 7:00 a.m. we're headed to the beach for the longest day of my life why did I do this I really hope it doesn't rain for this whole thing dude that would make this four times worse man : dude he's about to be soaked yeah he's gonna be miserable and because I don't prepare for literally anything I took the scooters out of the box for the first time made sure everything was functional and made sure that they were charged [Music] oh hey Mack hey put a where we'll rain jacket the forecast said no rain it rains anyway go Bayon all right olive they'll Beach it is 8:15 the morning start my ride now on my Apple watch as an outdoor bicycle ride we flew all the way to San Francisco we shipped the scooters all the way to Atlanta Payton drove them all the way out of Florida now it is time to do the ride all hands in team on three team up through one two three nothing goes oh this oh it's an electric scooter it's a full month soon right now so there I was in actual Hurricane Katrina making my way up the Florida coast yeah somehow I made it through a tollbooth on a scooter oh this display just turned off okay yeah it's dead yeah it's definitely dead and it was time for my first pit stop every single time that we do something like this in my mind I 1 choose not to think about it and then 2 if I do think about it I think it's way easier than it actually is did you bring sunscreen my mom bought me Sunseri for this because she watched the last video and was pissed that I got sunburned so shout-out mom thank you alright on to the next trick so after a Red Bull and a Red Bull and Red Bull I was off once again duh baby are we doing are we doing hello remember that part earlier where I said that I had sunscreen yeah I was gonna put it on yeah I didn't do that oh thank you oh uh guys would you lie to me up later yes oh this yeah so lecture series you ever heard of one don't honk at me all right let's hit round three [Music] I went through some absolutely beautiful scenery saw some giant kites I don't know who has time to do that and there were these insane houses I mean dude look at this place is this real is that real is that actually someone's house [Music] I spent a lot of time at a lot of stoplights and then I'm supposed to be on this highway for 28 miles how does this how does this pass his bike friendly I don't I don't really understand probably like a 75% chance I get hit by a large moving truck until I found a gas station where I got gas station coffee and gas station hot dogs [Music] can do bro it's 706 p.m. as you can see I've really made this race track on the side of the highway my home here kind of long way to go we're gonna be we're gonna be driving the night as you can see my entire body is severely sunburned we've got some nice lines developing here we've got some nice lines got some nice lines and we needed to solve a problem basically we have a series of power inverters in the car that allows us to run off of regular wall chargers in the car these power cables I don't think are powerful enough that we just get blinking lights so now we're trying to figure out how do we keep these scooters charged so here's the idea find outlets anywhere everywhere at gas stations hotels that'll let us charge and as soon as he meets me there he gets the new truly charged scooter and goes and so with our new plan you know we've actually got a headlight right here we've got our brake lights turn signals the whole shebang we've got 93 miles so far we're gonna we're about to step into the night ride later boys oh hey VIN how's it going 8:19 across the hundred-mile market 107 miles done so far 127 miles hey you feeling hurt dude the sunburn hurts so bad I had to put more layers on it is getting cold out here 955 the underside Betty good luck but then we got this warning shouldn't I pull up in this gated community security guard comes over to me but you said that black panthers are in this area and everything they're dangerous and all that of course they're dangerous and there's no lights on the road there's like no cars but let's hope it makes it here the Black Panthers are not what I'm scared of what I'm scared of is not finishing so we're gonna keep pushing there is concerned yeah dude for sure she got Bobcats back here we have seen a couple of coyotes likely 149 11:30 at night the body's starting to hurt it's like complete blackness outside it's just me the open road and my trusty all my legs [Music] 169 12 44 in the morning and then randomly literally in the middle charging these stupid scooters this kid just pulls up one in the morning yeah it was like I was on my Instagram looking whatever and I hit you up earlier the cameraman I was like know if you guys need what water stole no Sheena butter oh I hit on anyone and I was like there's no way he's made a buck to Koko by now I'll faster that thing go I 15 mile per hour 30 miles an hour oh really holy okay what did it so crazy I found you the Logan fall fight because I was down in Miami and I wanted to sneak in I'm sorry a video I was like holy my mistake not even you bout to be the biggest he said it on me bro he said it on me so the scooters were charging at a gas station but 3 a.m. right now we left these charging for two hours here at this gas station and all of them are only two out of five bars of power over time we end up with scooters that are charging slower than I'm riding and thus we have three scooters that are basically dead our scooters still have three bars but we're gonna find the positive in this we're gonna go watch the sunset and I say sunset sounds about right right now so sunburn and all I made my way to the beach where I asked my mother nature for guidance was that perseverance was it discipline that I'd not do my chores again come on mother nature what were you trying to tell me all right I've come to the ocean for inspiration and you know what I've realized is that at this point we have two options right now one quit it sounds kind of nice right now doesn't that sound nice oh well just drive back option number two do what we said we were gonna do and finish this stupid trip the sunburn is level severe pandemic I might even add but I'm gonna finish this ride anyway yeah let's go baby when we return to the gas station the gas station owner was unplugging all of our stuff and kicking us out in 30 minutes before we were here 30 minutes we were like six hours are we officially kicked out of this gas station some protection check head protection it's almost too small for my head check [Music] on to the next one baby you women three miles in two hundred and sixty six miles in oh my gosh dude this is probably the most miserable I've ever been in my entire life we have 20 miles left I'm gonna take my last sprint to Daytona Beach and before I knew it the darndest thing happened we had made it to Bike Week whoa hey guys as you guys can see I put a ton of effort into these videos and I literally have never done any brand I’m surprised they didn’t do the math first.
The scooter takes 15hrs to charge from dead. The range is 40-60 miles. The total distance is almost 300 miles.
They would have needed 5, or 6 scooters if they wanted to do this in 24hrs.

So much for the vaunted 60 mile range. Nobody drives these scooters in first gear! These scooters do not get 60 miles range no way in hell! Maybe if you’re 120 pounds in first gear.. It looked to me more like 25 or 30 miles per charge which is exactly what I’ve been telling people these scooters get. This video only proves that this guy has a lot of endurance and not so much about the scooters. Electric scooter guide is a shill for emove.

He definitely must have to choose the Mercane MX60 and few swappable batteries, instead 3 Emove Cruiser scooters lol :) I love chuck content but he did not give this guy a proper scooter to choose.
