Cycling Across 38 Miles of Ice!

this might have been the one time where i shouldn't have pushed the agenda you can see cracking isolated from the rest of the world there's a small place in minnesota called the angle parkour here we go due to covet restrictions in canada the angle has turned into an island where nobody can come in and nobody can leave now they've lost over 10 million dollars worth of normal tourist money so our goal is to somehow get to the angle and spend the most amount of money empty my bank account type of money i mean just shower them in cash dude all 17 of them now the only way to the angle is a small ice road across a frozen lake so in this episode we'll be crossing the most dangerous ice road in the us but there is one catch there's a cop car down there i've got to get down from here so i saw this video from the queue he built this ice spike saw blade of death so i'm thinking we build a couple of these and take these the 38 miles across the ice are these like easy to ride at all would walking be more efficient than this there's no way they're easy to ride it has 80 million views so maybe a little bit of that will rub off on us if we make every life decision off of how many views a video has we will die you understand now i'm completely incapable of building anything more than my sandwich at subway so i posted on my instagram and a mafia member named jeff accepted the job and said he can make it happen [Music] so checking for our flight starts in 15 minutes we decided to bring fides with us on this trip and we are still waiting for him to show up to the house so if he doesn't show up in a couple of minutes we're gonna have to probably leave him you guys literally don't understand how hectic this is this is the video that you just watched last week we are doing this somebody fell through the ice on an atv and they're on a rescue mission right now the ice at this place is melting like super quick and they don't want to let us cross at all like they don't even let us try well we'll see about that huh i'm the only one that's stressed now no we're all stressed where's the gates at where are the gates i think we got it the only question left is will fadius make it all right come on let's go very impressed i'm very impressed get down there before you get thrown out of the airport i hate flying you never tried it with me everyone attention have a safe flight this i'm sure if they've closed all the accesses on the lake because they had a four-wheeler and a side-by-side winning today we're gonna have to cancel all the is getting pretty soft right now so the ice road is closed they're canceling the whole thing really convenient that we just landed in minnesota you know what eric i'd like to see them try to stop us okay i mean they said the dnr is shutting video this is what i think we do and then we wake up tomorrow i think we build the bikes we're not going to be able to get on the ice the way that any normal person gets on we go in somebody's it's not safe for them to be on the ice they're not gonna come get us tomorrow chaos all right it's 5 30 boys big day ahead of us it was back on the road for the boys we had to get shuttle two and a half hours to the most northern point of the united states where conveniently our ice bikes have been shipped and we're waiting for us never built a bicycle in my life i don't know how we're gonna do this so cold outside in the video they look so sick so i'm very excited to build these and try them out look at that custom air rack wheel we were doing our absolute best to assemble these bikes but story turns out this entire trip would be completely impossible if it weren't for houston let's go ah i cut a hole in my shoe these are actual saw blades and finally the bikes were ready the only question left was would they actually work getting onto the water is going to be the hard part so we're looking for places like this to do just a little bit of sneaking i'm gonna just walk out there real quick and see what's going on all right we're sneaking down this private drive right here i think we can make it out as long as nobody says something we should be good [Music] we've arrived oh okay it's fine it's fine dude okay i don't know how we're gonna get the bikes out here bro that's where we're starting the angle is directly that way this is the moment all of the three plane rides train rides we're gonna see if this thing freaking works we go three two one bro look at this it's working it's working hey how many miles to the angle 38 miles and finally we were on our journey to the angle the ice breaking that early on is not a good sign here's the good news the bike works all right listen we gotta go to the shore the shore is the most vulnerable area once we got into the ice we're good the problem is though if we fall on the ice out there we're gonna sink to the bottom of the freaking lake it's not gonna be three feet deep that's true all right here we go this thing is way harder to ride i think we've literally covered like a mile so far not very far not very fast we've been going for like an hour and the track is like destroyed that is broken oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my god back up back up back up back up seriously what am i supposed to do right now oh my oh my gosh hold up pull up oh my god oh my gosh um well i mean we're barely into the trip we already lost an entire bike i'm not super worried about the money it's just a bummer that we came all the way out here to do this and we have one bike left and four people and we have like 35 more miles left i think we should still try how long would it take to walk 35 miles 12 hours that's a long time i mean it's up to you guys i'm not going to pressure any one direction regardless of what happens we have to find a way to go to the angle we keep going right now we'll probably get there before the sunrise but we will be doing this in the middle of the night you have flashlights no i don't have folks i think we just send it boys i mean how cold is it gonna get tonight well below freezing which will make the ice less likely to crack that's a nice way to look at it if you guys are in i'm down i'm i'm in angle on three one two three angle let's go let's go baby and all was going well we were basically manny in the pack from ice age that was until it's basically like a river flowing right in the way of where we're supposed to go holy crap dude this is the main reason why vehicles sink in is when they come up to these oh my gosh oh watch out watch out it's fine that's a solid like four inches down there we're on four inches right now yeah we're coming up on something that looks like another giant crack in the ice so we're gonna send max drone to go see before we go any further the sun is dropping it is getting significantly colder by the minute what are we looking at i don't know what it is you tell me ice boy dude look at that dude oh my gosh bro what is that big pressure 1500 feet away it's five football fields away okay do you think there's any way around that i don't think so but i mean we can go give her a shot mother nature does not want us at the angle bro oh we're a half mile out for this next pressure point the bike is becoming so hard to ride brutal temperature it's five minutes till sunset we're at the pressure ridge it looks extremely dangerous all along this line here it's cold oh my gosh dude somehow we have to get across we haven't even made it five miles in that was until the unthinkable happened the bike literally broke dude literally just got off this thing look at this i mean the whole freaking wheel just fell off dude okay listen we can't actually cross this because we're gonna we're gonna die we don't have a choice at this point we lost a bike this bike broke we're out here in the middle of nowhere completely unprepared we're soaking wet dude i'm soaking wet i'm staying overnight is like suicide this is terrifying we cannot not make it to the angle you know like we have to find a way to get there i think we have to go back bro this really sucks man we spent so much on this video uh well we're here with a broken bike and four stranded
