I Rented a Kyoto Townhouse for a ROMANTIC Japanese Breakfast ♨️ | Ft. @CDawgVA

good morning guys and welcome to kyoto i made a video here a few months ago about a japanese kyoto townhouse and i loved it i loved that video it's a lot of fun to make and i find myself back in kyoto making a video completely unrelated to this but i'm staying in a beautiful townhouse and i thought it would be a crime not to show you guys around one more time it's a different townhouse in many ways i prefer this one because it's got a really nice bath which we'll see in a minute but let's give you a quick whirlwind tour and i do have a guest staying with me unfortunately who will also be joining us on this tour but first things first this is the gen khan this is the entrance hall um let's go through into the sitting room and see what we've got [Music] hi there oh there you go all right turn that off copyright copyright all right chris how you doing i'm going to give you a quick tour of this place but first before i show you all the cool bits let me show you the bedroom let's go [Music] i think wow isn't that an amazing bedroom let me show you one look at that bed it's massive check this out this is like a prison this is my bedroom uh chris got the slumberland bed the king size could probably fit four of me um but no i get this sorry i'm older than you this is what happens when you book he booked it so i don't get the bet so the futon's comfortable right yeah it's really nice futon probably one of the better ones i've had in japan well that's all the matters good all right you're bad chris come around here yeah it's called this is the most narrow door if i'd come through here on the day i did the fried chicken challenge it's got the world's tiniest sink and the world's slowest water dribble that's like the maximum that's that's tragic but then the bed i love the way yeah you've got like a little futon i've got a monster bed like a king-sized bed fit for king henry viii himself i'm like i slept on like the edge last night like this and i was like i could roll across the entire bed while you were on the floor that's when you know you've made it the one percent so back into the sitting room and um it's really nice we've got a little record player here i like that connor loves it we've got we've got three books of a tiny television that looks like a digital photo frame it's so small and we've got two bean bags over there as well but yeah the absence of chairs is rather striking um i like chairs why aren't there chairs here it's good you can sit on the bean bags and have your breakfast or whatever at the counter which we did earlier didn't go as well as we'd have hoped i think but uh we'll get to that in a bit we'll show you that if you guys haven't seen my previous kyoto townhouse video over on the bar in japan i recommend checking it out because it is a lot better than this this is a very much a run-and-gun spontaneous thing whereas that one was a dedicated video discovering how these places are being renovated and why they're disappearing unfortunately they are going at an alarming rate but they have done a great job bringing back a lot of these beautiful townhouses back from the brink back to life and giving them a sort of contemporary edge with one foot in the past of one foot in the present but before we do anything else let's go and check out the highlight of the place which is the garden although there is a frightening sight to be found in the garden so brace yourselves [Music] there is hello chris i have to go low how's the bath it's wonderful chris it's so good it's so hot you can control the temperature as well wow it's quite a nice little um courtyard style garden yeah the picture had champagne on the website uh suddenly there's no shadow yeah it was a lie but uh yeah it's pretty nice though that's yeah it's outside so you get some fresh air while you're bathing it's pretty good wonderful wonderful and there's a bathroom out here as well which is rather odd proceeding past connor enjoy your bath we have in here another bathroom with a a tub like a plant pot shaped tub did you bathe in there i did not bathe in it now i had a shower oh i thought someone like came in some of us have a shower some of us have a shower that baths are much better than showers you heard it here first but yeah i've been in that i kind of wish i had because we haven't got any time now so it's unfortunate but yeah it's lovely we've had connor in the hot tub we've had joey in the thousand-year-old log now i need uh gun and i've got the entire trash taste set the full set we did just have breakfast and it wasn't it was interesting wasn't it conor how would you describe breakfast um very japanese it's very japanese you know a lot of stuff where you're very confused at what it is but you eat it anyway because you're polite absolutely here's what that breakfast looked like [Music] oh wow that's it's quite long i'm not that hungry you will be you will be [Music] if you like slabs of tofu [Music] it looks very healthy yeah the miso smells amazing as well that's all that's good music mm-hmm everything is toe for everything every single thing apart from whatever that is i thought that was fascinating first but then i don't know i don't mind japanese breakfast but for me they leave a lot to be desired yeah really i don't feel like i'm ready to start the day after i feel like i need to lie down which i probably will too it's no mega muffin for mcdonald's the double mcmuffin gets me on my absolutely delicious fly rice that was such a crappy sip it's like you slipped air it's really hot what do you mean we're gonna do like chug it okay well wait it's hot go on it's an interesting food let's try the stainless steel oh it's ginger ginger hmm it's good but i don't know what it is what's the verdict the verdict is yeah what is that yeah i know right no the verdict is i want some chips lots of muffins it's nice like it looks really nice yeah this is uh tofu with salads i'm just i'm not in the mood for this got uber each we got there connor nothing alternative breakfast oh connor i'm really disappointed in you why have you done this but we've come all the way to kyoto to try keto's cuisine and now we've gotta make a muffin with two sausages one rashford bacon a layer of cheese and i have the recipe mega muffin made in kyoto it's almost as good as the real thing to be fair we need our energy today because we're going somewhere very special indeed somewhere let's just say awful awful they'll be coming out on connor's channel very soon for now guys i hope you enjoyed Love the Chris and Connor collab. They work well together and I think Connor tones it down a bit on Chris’ channel. I’ve been watching CDawg’s channel after watching the fried chixken episode and it’s fucking wild sometimes, usually in a good way. And I don’t even like anime.
