I Ranked ALL 48 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass Tracks!

the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster course pass is finally completed with wave 6 we have every single course that is going to be in this game 48 normal courses but more interestingly 48 brand new courses coming to us from the booster course pass and today I had a super original idea get this I'm going to rank them all seriously though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by far my most played switch game I spend so much time running through these courses with my friends and my rankings are definitely going to be should I say a little bit different from every everyone else's I have some weird courses that I really like and some courses that Everyone likes that I kind of don't so strap in cuz we got 48 courses to go through this is every course in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster course pass ranked starting off we have 3DS toad circuit if this isn't at the bottom of your list I don't know if we're playing the same game toad circuit is so boring it's one of the only courses in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe you could literally just let the game play for you and you wouldn't even be missing that much sure there's a mushroom cut you can do at the end but the layout is terrible and most of this course is just trying to take the inside line and then holding the accelerator Button as you wait 47 New York minute I don't know why people like this course it's by far the worst of the cities in my opinion graphically it's kind of mid there are cars that don't move which is bizarre you never really get the feeling you're going through a bustling New York City and it's just boring to play hey at least there's all this grass that you can cut with a mushroom right guys [Music] [Applause] Tokyo blur is next and this is another boring City course Tokyo is such a cool City but it did not get done Justice in this racetrack again it's just plain and boring the entire final section of the last lap sucks there's pretty much nothing interesting there Paris prominade is next and can you tell I don't really love the city courses especially the early ones they're just not fun Paris isn't terrible I mean there's two different paths here you can go to the left or go under the Eiffel Tower and then going through this section in Reverse is kind of a cool gimmick you can also mushroom through this little circle at the start but it's just kind of generic other City courses do this sort of gimmick way better later on next we have London Loop this course is so long for no reason the chain chomp section is kind of cool and look that's the London Bridge I don't know this one's just kind of forgettable next we have Sky Garden I've heard that a lot of people love this course I just don't see why sure there are some kind of interesting weird shortcuts you can do where you mushroom off some of the cloud things but they send you flying occasionally so it's just not worth it if you don't have a mushroom on the final turn congratulations you've lost the race because everyone will be taking that final shortcut and besides that it's just me I mean it's there Vancouver velocity this is where the city courses get not bad like I don't hate playing this one it's just still not nearly that interesting going into the ice rink is cool but it's such a bizarre turn that it doesn't feel good to play at all the bridge section here is cool too but too much of it falls into the typical City course trap of just kind of driving through a city like it's not that enjoyable next we have Amsterdam drift again just kind of a forgettable course it's cool that there's like tulips at the end and also there's like trains that can hit you I don't know man all these just kind of blend together same with Bangkok rush I like the gimmick of being able to go up to this top path here but it's just not really that important you don't need to do it at all I don't know Bangkok also just has some bizarre turns that should not be in any racing game at all Sky High Sunday this course is so overrated it's unreal look at the mini map tell me yeah is this fun to race on is it really I'll answer that for you no it's not you shake the controller to trick and besides that it's a freaking oval I'm going to get some hate for this too same thing with Mary mountain look at the layout it's just not fun it's incredibly generic and one of the most midc courses ever the only reason it's even close to this high on this list is because the Christmas themeing carries it hard but the actual course itself not fun to race on La laps once again a pretty forgettable city track I do think this one's slightly better though because driving on the beach and the boardwalk all that it makes the course feel more fun but it's still nothing crazy Cho Mountain to me is the definition of mid I'm not pissed off when it gets picked but I'm also not excited when it gets picked it's just another Mario Kart course the cave section is pretty cool and it's nice that there's some off-road at the end for a mushroom overtake but even those giant Falling Rocks can't save this one from just being kind of bland Berlin byways is the start of the city coures getting actually kind of interesting these wamp things falling down on the Berlin Wall is absolutely hilarious I can't believe that's in Mario Kart and overall this is just a decent course it doesn't play as well as most non- City courses but as far as City ones go it's pretty average Singapore Speedway is in the same boat going through Chinatown is pretty cool and getting up to this highrise is awesome as well this one definitely feels more like a Mario Kart course than just some random City that they translated into this game so it gets more points I mean look at this and then go back to New York minute there's definitely a big Improvement here I'm just not a huge fan of these City courses okay here we go this is where it gets kind of controversial coming in at number 33 we have Waluigi pinball yeah I'm sorry before this track was added into 8 Deluxe I would have ranked it as a top five Mario Kart track of all time but in 8 Deluxe it's just not that fun there's no shortcuts here at all obviously there's no off-road or anything anything like that so the track is just entirely about front running it's also so long and it has interesting turns but they're not necessarily translated super well into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe it always feels like you start your drift either a bit too early or a bit too late and while yeah you could probably just say that's a skill issue most good tracks in this game are designed in a way to make it feel satisfying to pull off cool tight drifts around corners I don't know what it is but waluigi's pinball is just not like that for me the Aesthetics and stuff are incredible but I I feel like a lot of people kind of look at that too much and don't actually enjoy the course layout for what it is which in my opinion is not great I just don't really think it's that fun to drive on coming in at number 32 we have Bo Lake kind of the exact opposite of Waluigi pinball graphically and like aesthetically this course is just eh whatever I mean it looks nice but it's also a giant boardwalk in night like it's not supposed to look incredible the water looks good I guess however it's a super quick course there's always action going on the turns are extremely satisfying to pull off even those hair pins it's got a great use of anti-gravity a pretty fun shortcut yeah I think this course is just a blast to play number 31 we have Daisy's Cruiser another relatively quick course with fun branching paths and just a great gimmick number 30 we have Sunset wild now yes the sunset is broken there is no Sunset that sucks but I just love these flat GBA or SNES courses where you can Mushroom through Offroad like a demon Sunset Wilds isn't the best one of those in fact there's another one coming up that's probably way too high on this list for a lot of you but it is what it is it's my list Sunset Wilds isn't incredible in that category but it's fun I enjoy racing on it next we have Peach Gardens this is a pretty average course and why are we going backwards Peach Gardens I'm just going to be honest it's kind of mid but the fact that you go backwards is just so cool it was so bizarre to see this added like it's the only course where you just randomly start going in the reverse variant from Mario Kart tour definitely did not need to add this in but they did and it makes it is so much more fun you're already kind of bored of the layout by the second lap so switching it up for the third is super appreciated number 28 we have rock rock mountain this is just overall a very fun course there's a lot of gliding here but because there's so much off-road you can glide over and then use a mushroom to cut through and that final race up the back half of the mountain with the Rocks coming down at you and boost pads everywhere that's always super intense always very fun number 27 we have Madrid Drive one of the absolute cream of the crops when it comes to the city City courses the museum is just beautiful some of the paintings in there are so sick driving through a soccer pitch is awesome as well and none of the terms just feel out of left field to the point where it's like okay how was I ever supposed to know that's where I go number 26 we have Riverside Park this course is beautiful one of the most underrated courses visually in the entire DLC and it's super quick but just straight to the point it's a fun course and these little walking piranha plants that can drop bananas or mushrooms make it just a blast eras on there's always something going on number 25 Athens Dash another blast of a city course cuz this one isn't really a city you're driving through Athens there's like an acropolis a bunch of pillars everywhere fun shortcuts at the end you go through nature and the city itself it's a pretty good one number 24 we have calamari desert the fact that the course changes on the second and third lap is so cool the fact that we finally get to live out our childhood dreams of driving through the tunnel like in Mario Kart 64 that's cool as well this one's just a blast next up we have my second favorite city course in the entire booster course pass ravan is so cool you can tell that the tour team went all out when making the city course everything from the chain Chomps coming in to eat you to the beautiful Rome aesthetic driving up those stairs there are a couple turns that are like okay what are we doing but that's just part for the course for the cities everything else makes up for it 22 ninja Hideway I feel like a lot of people will probably have this higher up on their list I don't love this course in fact the layout itself is pretty boring but there are just so many interesting little things here that can make the layout being boring completely worth it the different paths in the dojo itself the rising and falling platforms that can Crush you with the shurikens the cool shortcut you can either mushroom through or hit the blockers with a you know a shell or a bomb or something to get through the gliding section that leads you to another split path where you can go up or down all in all the cool aspects of this course and the sick design make up for its relatively lackluster layout so it's still fun to drive on Rose Alina's ice world is one of the hardest courses in this game that first turn if you drop a bomb on there you can kill the whole Lobby it's so unbelievably thin and it's probably one of the toughest courses in the entire game I love this though it's in the final cup of the entire game if you bought the DLC you got to give this cup like some hard coures its difficulty makes it truly stand out from the other ice levels in this game and that's why it's ranked so highly Waluigi stadium is everything waluigi's pinball wishes it could be of course the aesthetic is worse as it's some dirt BMX Arena rather than an Ultra Cool pinball machine but everything else about this course is just so much more fun there are awesome shortcuts split paths a bunch of obstacles like those piranhas instead of just you know pinballs dropping down on you and getting shot at you in a million miles an hour half Pipes make their return here this course is just awesome Bowser's Castle 3 is kind of just getting by on the fact that it's another Bowser's Castle I mean the fact that there are 96 courses in this game and two Bowser's castles is ridiculous I would have much rather seen like Bowser's Castle 3DS return but Bowser's Castle 3 with the upgrades it's got is pretty cool it's a relatively hard course you can cut the corners super tight because of the lack of railings all all the ramps are super cool and the super skinny ramps are actually pretty difficult to stay on but you're rewarded with extra items if you do add in the dirt path at the end that you can Mushroom through and this course has all the Hallmarks of one of the greats Daisy circuit is one of the best circuits in this game it doesn't try and do anything super crazy but the layout is so fun hopping on to the sidewalks is always an interesting challenge these new Boost panels are super fun in the opening shortcut that leads to the glider path saves a ton of time and is super satisfying when you get a mushroom DS Mar circuit this one has grown on me I started off kind of hating it because I was just salty we didn't get Airship Fortress instead but honestly it's one of my favorite Mario circuits in this entire game those final hairpin turns are exhilarating the forest section with the wiggler is super cool and pretty much all the turns have off-road allowing you to mushroom through them which is just great 3DS Rainbow Road a lot of people say this is the best Rainbow Road in the game and there are parts of me that want to agree with you the fact that it is all different laps is so cool you go go on to the Moon that's awesome driving on the rings of Saturn is sick but something about this just doesn't feel as good as the other rainbow roads to me maybe it's the fact that it's relatively easy in comparison or the fact that the final lap is a complete nothing Burger legit all you do is go through this giant rotating tube then it looks like the developers just didn't know what to do so they plac down a ton of ramps coins and items and then one really long final turn and you're at the Finish Line it's like the quickest final lap in history this is a fun course don't get me wrong I mean it's ranked super high it's in my top 16 I just definitely think this one gets a little bit more love than it deserves number 15 is moon view Highway take notes New York minute this is how you do a bustling City nighttime course the cars are actually moving they pose a threat not to mention the fact that the bomb cars are back causing chaos everywhere there are two interesting shortcuts on the Hills at the start of the race the Boost panels are randomized so you never know exactly what path will be the fastest until you get there I just think this one's super fun it feels like no two races on it are the same DS shroom Ridge is another absolute Banger that does not get enough love it's relatively standard and plain just looking at it but the turns here are so fun to master if you time trial this course you know what I'm talking about it's an absolute blast to run over and over and over again there are two awesome shortcuts here that you can take with mushrooms one leads to a glider path and one bounces you back up but if you don't have a mushroom obviously you end up like this and some of these turns are so sharp that the cars pose an actual challenge because you just straight up can't see them before they hit you shroom Ridge is an absolute blast and I love that it's in this game people hate on it a bit too much number 13 we have mapel Treeway just an absolute beauty of a course from start to finish it's so unique so Innovative Mario Kart Wii got a ton of love in this game's DLC and I think rightfully so so many of these Nitro courses are incredible and Maple Tree Way is super long but I never feel the length it's just so fun Koopa Cape is a blast too A lot of people think they messed it up in this remake but honestly the more I play it the more I kind of like it there's just no better feeling than racing through the water trying to get extra speed as you stay in it the half pipes returning are super fun the music is a buop and it's just overall a great chor coming in at number 11 this one is definitely one a lot of you guys probably ranked way higher you did not like this course nearly as much as I did or I guess lower in that case higher in the numbers like up towards 48 I'm talking about SNES Mario Circuit 3 a lot of people hate this course and I mean for good reason visually it's pretty bland but I don't care this is probably one of my top five most like fun courses to race on period you could get a golden mushroom and finish a lap in like 10 seconds flat break drifting around that massive hair pin cutting through all the different shortcuts laced around the track drifting at Mock 10,000 but trying not to hit into any of the walls this course I just always have fun playing on it I know people hate on it because there's just not a lot to it but I think the beauty of it is in its Simplicity I'm doing this ranking on how much I enjoy these courses based on all sorts of factors the visuals music how fun are to race the uniqueness of them all of those categories except for fun to race Mario Circuit 3 probably gets like a one or a two 2 out of 10 but fun to race though this has got to be like a 10 out of 10 it's just so fun to me I absolutely love it and that's why it's so high up all right before we get to the final 10 courses in the booster course pass I want to take a quick break first of all and ask you to subscribe but second of all and more importantly kind of why I'm here we didn't just get new courses we got new characters eight of them in fact and here's my lightning round ranking for all of them number eight pette terrible character I've never even used her I'm going to keep this little exclamation mark on her until I die because I'm not allowing myself or any of my friends to use her as a character she's just terrible should never have been added number seven I have kch kind of just average number six we have wiggler he looks funny but again just kind of average and number five we got Berto only reason she's this high up is cuz she has eight different alternate costumes which lends a lot of variety to the gameplay number four we've got pety piranha who's an awesome character but whenever you drive as him you can't see anything cuz his head is so dang big and number three we got Diddy Kong honestly Diddy Kong probably could have been either lower or higher on this list three felt about right but it would be so weird if he wasn't added like he should have been in the base game like base Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U number two we have Pauline love seeing her get more representation in the Mario spin-offs and number one we have Funky Kong oh wow who could have guessed big shocker Funky Kong is so cool and they went all out with his trick animations with him grabbing his surfboard and everything it's just awesome all right back to the courses we have number 10 Sydney Sprint by far the highest rated City course and for good reason this one is an absolute blast the music is awesome visually it's pretty nice as well and this is the only city course that I can confidently say does not feel like a city course it feels like a Mario Kart course you could rename this course to maybe Mushroom Kingdom Sprint or something like that and I would just not bat an i it plays so well especially when compared to all the other City courses it's by far my favorite from T number nine we have DK Mountain this course is an absolute blast placing down a bomb on that final Bridge section is just so satisfying cuz you will kill someone and the Gap cut is a blast to number eight we have Coconut Mall this would have been number 48 but then they updated it so the cars moov move n just kidding I don't really care if the cars move or not I mean I'm glad they do now but it just kind of is whatever the only thing that really matters is the fact that it's Coconut Mall it's got an awesome layout and even better design it deserves to be this high up number seven is piranha plant Cove this could be some recency bias as this is one of the newest tracks to be added but honestly I love this one so far never played it in tour but this is one of my favorite courses to have an underwater section at all the underwater section in this course is so cool on top of that it changes every lap but never feels unnatural you kind of always know where to go and that fake out on lab three where you think you're going up the stairs but really you just fall underground and go underwater again I love that it's so fun number six is snowland you're probably thinking why is this so high up well exhibit a there's snowmen exhibit B Gap jump Exhibit C all these other shortcuts and exhibit d man this course is just fun to play The Gap jump in snowland is one of my favorite shortcuts in Mario Kart history just because it's so easy to pull off yet so dang rewarding and the fact that there are not one but two offer shortcuts at the end mean that comebacks on this one are pretty much a given and it's so fun number five we have DK Summit the fact that the double Gap cut returned here is unbelievable they did an excellent job translating this one from the Wii over to the switch it feels exactly how I remember it but arguably better it's just so fun to race on number four we have mushroom Gorge the Gap cut on this one is pretty difficult but once you get it down pat it's so satisfying personally I probably have a lot of bias towards this course because I'm not great at the Gap cut but I can do it maybe 50% of the time so it's super exciting for me cuz if I'm in second and have a mushroom and need to do the Gap cut it's not like a guaranteed win I have to kind of sweat and try my hardest on the Gap cut and sometimes I'll still miss it that makes for an exhilarating course and the rest of the course is just a blast too jumping on all those mushrooms is so fun yeah it's just a super cool one number three we have squeaky clean Sprint what can I say about this course that hasn't already been said it feels like a Nitro that was made for a Mario Kart 9 it's visually stunning has a ton of different branching paths at the end that continue into the start of the second lap but then everyone rejoins together for the bathtub and underwater section which is just an absolute blast I just think this one's super cool coming in at number two we have drum roll please we Rainbow Road what can I say about this course that hasn't already been said it's one of it's probably my favorite Rainbow Road actually in the game now they changed it from the Wii version adding some railings here and there so it's not as challenging but in my opinion that's a good thing because trust me it's still challenging you will still get screwed over on this course but it's not just brutally unfair like it felt occasionally on the Wii not to mention you can jump over the holes in the figure 8 section which is super satisfying there's also an awesome Gap cut here cool halfpipe sections and oh yeah when you fall off you turn into a meteor such a cool little Easter egg reference throwback to Mario Kart Wii that they did not have to do but they did and I'm all here for it all right it's finally time if you've been paying attention you know what this course is my favorite course in the booster course pass is Yoshi's Island I am an ABS absolute sucker for Mario Kart courses that reference Mario games or other Mario franchises and quite literally the best course in the history of the franchise to do that is Yoshi's Island it is an absolutely beautiful and faithful homage to the Yoshi's Island Game including Yoshi's Island enemies music sound effects you can hit the little floating cloud thing to make a brand new platform just like the game you go from the normal athletic section to underwater to the castle to up to the clouds passing a volcano it just feels like you do everything in this Cor it races perfectly the layout's super fun again trying to hit that cloud is so satisfying when you do and get the final shortcut the music is great it even has its own music and the results screen to throw back to Yoshi's Island as well the coins are Yoshi's the sound effects are all changed I just love this course it's definitely my favorite course in the booster course pass but let me know yours down below the booster course pass is an absolute blast I
