and now without further ado let's go [Music] first story airport karen so i love to travel and therefore spend lots of time in airports as i was waiting for a flight to board i overheard a woman becoming more and more irate at the gate attendant as she was closing the gate after karen's flight was departing i became interested in hearing how this was going to play out so i scooted closer to the gate and listened in from what i could gather from the ensuing argument karen and her boyfriend had arrived at the airport much later than any experienced traveler would then try to blame their tardiness on the tsa staff and being forced to go through security like everyone else i could continue to relate karen's insanely entitled rantings about the airline being criminals blah blah blah but i think everyone can imagine this scenario pretty close to how it was basically karen demanded the airline contact the pilot and make him come back to the terminal to pick her up the boyfriend is keeping his distance and looks super embarrassed after being completely shut down by the gate attendant karen decides to make some phone calls to her powerful friends which from what i could surmise was the airline itself any rational person would obviously find the nearest bar and wait for the next flight as the attendant suggested nope not karen as the boyfriend shrinks further away karen's rage grows into hulk-like proportions i could continue the story of karen making her opinions of the airline very well known to everyone within half a mile of the gate but most of what she said is not permitted to be posted after airport security arrived it got even worse while the boyfriend makes no attempt to calm her down the local police department shows up and for your information for the cops to come to an international airport is a pretty big deal not sure what the final outcome was but karen was escorted from the boarding terminal to booing and clapping from the waiting passengers with the boyfriend slinking along this is the kind of stuff you can't make up talk about being your own worst enemy next story entitled kid tries to steal my antique truck goes to jail i'm back with a new story about an entitled person or people this may be used in a video if it is kept as deliberately vague on locations and names as i have obligatory my sentencing structure and punctuation are not the best so if you must roast me for it use all appropriate spices not on mobile and this happened just a few hours ago so i wanted to tell everyone what happened before my memory loses the elements of it i have recently come into the possession of a 1947 international pickup truck a monster of a 4wd that looks fantastic now that i've cleaned it up and changed the fluids even has the original black diamond inline six-cylinder engine not bad for a barn find gorgeous old truck and very desirable as i have come to find out now that it's all legal i have begun driving it regularly and often find myself getting waved at honked at and even asked to pull over a couple times so someone could have a look at it i'm constantly getting offers for it as well it's not for sale never will be it's my most treasured possession already and i plan on showing it off at different truck rallies and get together this incident took place at a local gas station convenience store it had started off pretty much a normal day i've gotten used to the honks and staring already nothing unusual when you own an unusual vehicle to me i pulled into a local 7-eleven to get gas and a snack hadn't had breakfast yet that day and went in got myself a breakfast burrito and paid for gas and when i stepped out and made my way back to my truck i found some teenager sitting behind the wheel of my truck looking as if he was trying to drive it i yelled before i got to my truck for the kid to get out it's not his truck when i got to it he still hadn't moved and said this truck is so cool wanna sell it it's not for sale kid now get out before i yank you out of it but everything is for sale and i want it you're not getting it it isn't for sale i opened the door at which the kid suddenly bolted and ran off kids these days i muttered to myself thinking the matter was over boy was i wrong i had just filled the tank went back and got my change taking time to lock the doors this time before going back in and coming back out when i got back to my truck there stood the kid with an adult next to him he said my son wants this truck hand it over now not going to happen and if you don't back off of the truck i'm calling the sheriff right now and will make you back off whether you liked it or not you're giving us that truck or we're taking it i simply pulled out my cell phone and started dialing the non-emergency number at which the man went white and said hey now i was just kidding you want to sell it i told him already i point at the kid it's not for sale and won't be now i suggest you be gone before the sheriff arrives they were suddenly gone but that isn't the end of the matter yet the sheriff arrived i described the incident to him and they checked the security cameras outside on the store but there wasn't much they could do without having seen the incident or having witnesses willing to talk to them so i went on about my day doing some shopping at the local wally world and stopping at a local specialty parts shop to order some parts for the truck that specializes in classic and antique vehicles and headed home i got home and for a few hours everything was fine i had however parked my truck in a secured garage on my property as i usually do to keep the truck out of the weather and considering what happened earlier good thing too because as i found out these two were not done trying to get my truck late that evening just as i hit the bed i heard some unusual noises around the garage i looked out and saw two figures prowling about the garage first trying a security window then trying to pull the garage doors open so i snuck out my back door with shotgun and hand rounds loaded with rock salt and pork rinds very painful but not deadly unless at near point blank range i load my own shotgun and rifle rounds briefly rock salt when forced into the skin produces an intense burning sensation and pork rinds glue themselves to human flesh as if super glued to it and must be forcibly peeled away without the appreciate solvents extremely painful either way next thing these two heard was a cod chunk of a shotgun's round being loaded into a shogun chamber and froze then a quiet but firm voice on the ground now both of you shortly both were on their faces hands behind the back of their head and they lay there until the sheriff arrived sheriff arrived i laid my shotgun aside as they demanded and accepted being cuffed for the time being they yanked the two off the ground none to gently and pulled them over to the cruiser they arrived in they questioned me and took the cuffs off after taking possession of the shotgun temporarily and questioned them separately i told my side of it making a special note that i believed they were after my antique truck and told them of the earlier incident that day they had the unmitigated gall to claim i had stolen their old truck and had it stashed in the garage and they were just trying to get it back when asked i produced the title and registration of the truck and even let them into the garage so they could run the plates all came back as registered to me and me alone i had the fun of giving these two a brilliant smile and a wave goodbye as they were driven off and taken to jail court date pending at this point will update when i have more info but may be limited on what i can post here i got my shotgun back after proving it was mine and having to reclaim it from the department but no big deal they are still in jail at this point charged with trespass attempted theft attempted auto theft and several other charges next story entitled co-worker wants my restored silver so recently i've been getting into thrifting and exploring second-hand shops over the weekend i found beautiful blankets some crystal and even a long wool coat well about two weeks ago i scored a silver plated tea set it had the coffee pot teapot sugar creamer and a richly designed tray i scored the name brand set for fifty dollars since i love restoring items to make them whole and pretty again i worked for five hours to polish these items and got them looking nearly brand new well i showed off the restoration to one of my new co-workers we were chatting over lunch that's cool when are you going to sell it never this thing is coming with me when i move nonsense everyone knows people who do restoration sell the restored products i put my phone away at this point i knew several people who restored them to keep but i didn't want to fight well i'm not everyone i'm going to get some more platters and some matching teacups to make a tea time set oh come on i'll even buy it from you what forty dollars i said no and anyway the set is named brand and cost me fifty dollars i can sell it for 150 dollars it's mine 150 it's not even pure silver nope the same set in sterling would likely run you one thousand dollars plus and be far heavier and more likely to damage now drop it if you want a restored silver set so badly buy off a professional restoration person it will look better than mine i stood to leave my other co-worker who had been sitting there watching quietly piped up hush knowing her she'll have it until she's retired from the lab and according to her she's never leaving exactly you'll be buying it at an estate sale i walked off shaking my head wondering where some of my co-workers got these crazy ideas next story you can't go to that party i'm going thank you all for liking my last entitled ex-flatmate story here is another one so the story of when my ex-flatmate told me i couldn't attend a party that's basically made for my co-workers and people like me as said before i work as a lighting technician at events in tv and theaters i got a ba in tv production where i chose to specialize in lighting over here norway this tv and theater technical community is quite small and if you don't know someone you're sure to have at least one person you both know in common i knew a lot of people going to the best tv production school in the country having big guys within the field teaching us how to get things right and now to think new also working in theaters and at this point being the head of lighting at a local theater there was a big mess hall where you could look at suppliers merch have a drink try out new equipment and talk it's a great way of seeing what's new on the market and making connections as well as seeing old friends and classmates the entire event lasts for a weekend and i enjoyed every hour i spent there i talked to old friends and got introduced to a lot of new people at the end of the event there is one huge party hosted by three big companies they make a big show fireworks light sound picture video mapping it's kind of magical to get in at this party you need to get invited by someone working in one of those companies and they give access and give you some free drink tickets this year i was invited by several people from two of the companies before i left the mess that day i had enough drink tickets to get wasted enough to dance on the table like 15 free drinks along with everything we got served at the mess hall i went home to change as i wanted to join my co-workers and friends at this huge party cue my entitled flatmate what are you doing oh i'm going to the party no you're not because i'm going excuse me my job is so much cooler than yours so they would much rather have me there okay so who invited you i don't have an invite yet but i just need to make one call okay so you're asking me to not go to a party you're not invited to yes i don't want you to embarrass me you know this party is basically for technicians right i don't care my work is more important than you are you will not go you know what i have three people who invited me i have lots of drink tickets i'm going to use it's my coworkers who are going to be there i would ask you to be my plus one but you obviously don't want that and honestly at this point i don't want you to be either if you don't want to be at the same party as me don't go you can't tell me not to go when i have promised several people i will meet them there she stamped her foot and shouted bad words at me telling me how important she was as i walked into my room and changed i left the apartment giving her a have a nice evening as i went back to the hall to join the others till we moved on to the party the night was awesome and no she didn't get in i was told the day after that she tried but she did not have a band around her hand like the invited people so she was refused entry just need to point out she isn't a bad person just has this entitled and self-centered behavior from time to time she did have her good days too and she was good at making my birthdays kind of cool so she still had glints of the nice and kind person i knew the first three years i knew and lived with her just couldn't handle the entitled i'm better than you crap first story entitled pharmacy guy can't wait for his turn last week my wife had thyroid surgery and i went to pick up her medications right before i got to take her home and i met one in the wild i walked into the pharmacy and took a number from the little electronic ticket machine and got number 468 whereas the screen is on 126. not a big deal as they usually have two different cues for the pharmacists i must be on a different numbering track i sat down in the dead empty pharmacy and noted it was odd that nobody else was there and just waited usually the place is packed but it was the end of the day then an older man probably an older baby boomer came in and took a number he doesn't even get to his seat before saying out loud that this is ridiculous as he walks to his seat he keeps talking out loud that this is stupidly ridiculous and he's not going to stand for it i wasn't sure initially what he was mad about i have been there about five minutes longer than him and his butt hasn't even settled in his chair so we haven't waited long at all i'm in my late 40s and i think because of my age he thought i'd agree with him because he kept talking about how he's not waiting that long he kept trying to catch my eye he was having an entire villain monologue working himself up i gave him one of those side eyes and went back to reading my phone he sits a grand total of five minutes or less and then launches up out of his chair to stock over to the windows where two pharmacists are working he wasn't even willing to wait even a few minutes this is ridiculous i have number 416 and the number is 126. i am not dealing with your broken numbers he literally yelled at them i could not hear what they said due to distance but he responded well it sure looks broken i don't have to stand for this it goes back and forth with him yelling and swearing and he eventually goes back to his seat and starts talking about broken machines before he really settled into his seat the automated voice called for 468 my number and i got up to get my wife's meds i got a very young pharmacist training a new gal who was kind and nice despite being screamed at by the angry old guy i've been to the pharmacy a lot this year and they are always super nice and respectful as i left i apologized that they had to deal with the angry boomer next and the pharmacist and the gal he was training laughed so at least i brightened their day i doubt the angry guy heard me and there is no real climax to the story just another entitled jerk who thinks they don't have to follow the bare minimum of expected behavior and
