I just BOUGHT the FSR3 Frame Generation MOD to see if it was worth it

I'll just start this video telling you that I just bought the FSR 3 frame generation mods and they work contact hardening just works the Umbra Works The pundra Works everything just works everything just works I just released a video some days ago where I told people FSR 3 gone open source with the frame generation and the upscaling Technologies of course and it went open source for direct X12 games and of course for Unreal Engine 5 as well as AMD deliver the plug-in as well and this means that anyone who has some kind of knowledge can Implement FSR 3 it won't be as good as when the developers do it of course obviously but it can be done meaning that once again mods can do it and in that same video I actually told people that there were already some frame generation mods from in this case from Luke FZ and that it had to be a patron in order to access them so for three reasons I became a patron the first reason reason was to actually see if the mods were real or not because there are lots of fake benchmarks on YouTube and I wanted to see if the mods were working and were real the second one was to actually see if the mods were worth it in any kind if it is actually Worth to use the frame Generation 3 mod the FSR 3 frame generation mod sorry or if you just wait for the developers to implement it at to implement it as it will be much better and the third reason is to actually well make content test it and show it to you and I can tell you already that these mods are very easy to apply so let's go to how these mods work and let's test them but before today's video before the mods are really easy to use and for for some of you guys to to tell me oh uh isn't showing how to actually apply the mods and the mods won't work because there will always be some people actually telling me that so let's run Spider-Man so you can actually see that things are working fine okay let's pass up Spider-Man Spider-Man let's go by the way the stutters you'll see because they will be there are because I'm running this from an HDD because I need to buy another SSD for this computer I only have one and it is well quite quite small 500 gigabytes or something like that but I will buy another one one terabyte I believe so here we are and this is the normal performance once again it is crashing because I'm running from an HDD okay but but look at the the frame the frames for example oh it's running 1440p let me just adjust this 99 so it is around the 100 average FPS Mark okay another big crash once again it is because of the HDD but as you can see it is around 100 from 100 to 120 FPS Okay but well all you have to do is once again so this is the Marvel Spider-Man folder so in this case it uses the the FSR 2.1 so I have to go to the FSR 2 FSR 3 uh 210 which is basically 2.1 just go there bam copy these FSR these FSR files inside the folder where the application is in this case as you can see the executable bam and run as soon as I run the executable some common lines should be appearing as you can see running in FSR version 2 2.1.2 mode initializing hooks hooks initialized blah blah blah so we go play okay you can already see the artifacts even on the beginning so it is working if you see the artifa the artifacts it is working so let's open it continue and see how many FPS we are getting now so as you can see we're already hovering the 250 something once again because we're having the frame generation and now we're having 180 184 now when we're not in motion if you look for example at the cars uh at the people and so on it is actually working pretty nice as soon as we move the camera we can see uh some artifacts oh my goodness once again the HDD doesn't like this at all uh but I'll test more games but as you can see we went from 100 120 to 170 80 it depends actually 160 it depends where I'm in let's just go in circles but one thing that we immediately notice and you can notice is that in this case since the frame generation is just a mod and wasn't implemented by the developers what we can see is that the UI suffers a lot for example look at the UI the UI the user interface for example in the in the right in the right bottom the bottom right of the screen I mean Jesus it's not easy as you can see for example as soon as I start moving look at the artifacts the motion artifacts on the UI and when developers Implement FSR 3 they they kind of disconnect the UI from the frame generation and the only thing that the frame generation uh applies to is the the game itself and not the UI but since we're we're using mods the UI also suffers and that's why uh that's why has lots of artifacts but in terms of the normal gameplay we do have some artifacts and Spider-Man is a really really hard game for for the frame generation even the Nvidia technology the Nvidia officially implemented frame generation suffers so obviously an FSR 3 frame generation mod will suffer as well but overall it is decent I'm running on a 240 HZ monitor monitor sorry and I can tell you that overall it is decent so now we're running Fort soless and we already have the frame generation mod enabled of course and we're running 97 FPS meaning that the base FPS for example in this scenario in here the base FPS will be around the 50 Mark so 50 40 something uh and since we are hovering with only let's say 45 50 five average FPS Bas the motion artifacts are more but still in this part it is it is actually well done I'm actually surprised of how little artifacts we have in this exact part but as soon as we go for example for the stairs look at the artifacts there yeah we can see a lot of them not only because of the frame generation but also because of the upscaling upscaling in this game is really really bad with FSR 2 yeah for example there we can see on it on its arm we have kind of an Alo as soon as we go through the door these are some yeah frame generation artifacts but I guess we can't do much about it door locked because once again it is what it is it is a mo um and there's not much we can do there's not really much we can do let's go to the conference room but overall since this is a really slow paced game uh it is not that bad we have some like I told you before we have some motion artifacts here and there we can see some Halos on the character sometimes when passing through different materials or different colors but overall it is much more enjoyable to have the frame generation mod at least in this title running for example at 100 120 or even 90 FPS than having the game running natively at 40 45 because once again this game is a slow based game and with frame generation it actually feels much much smoother definitely definitely worth it even with some with some issues well obviously if I can play for example on my on my 7900 xdx I won't play this game with a frame generation mod I just prefer to play it natively at at let's say 90 uh 90 100 120 FPS for example but with a card as low end as the 7600 it is much much better to play this game with a frame generation mode at 100 FPS than playing it um natively let's say that at 50 it's just it just feels much much smoother even with the motion artifacts now we're running Remnant 2 by the way we're just running into the beginning by the way I never showed you the settings on the previous games but it's basically this all you have to do to enable to enable the um the FSR mode the frame generation mode is to actually go to the upscaler and enable FSR as soon as you enable FSR it will automatically enable the frame generation if you disable FSR it won't enable the frame generation as as said by luk FZ himself uh you can actually have frames showing incorrectly as soon as you disable uh MD FSR but with FSR it works well yeah 114 it kind of feels smooth once again we have some motion artifacts here and there definitely but it feels much smoother than playing at 55 FPS because I did it before it is not possible to show you via video because that's not how it works you have to experience it yourself I'm just telling you how it feels to me and I'm showing you the FPS numbers of course but uh I can tell you right away that it feels much smoother to play at 130 140 with frame generation than playing at a base uh of 60 or 55 it just feels much better and the motion artifacts in this game aren't that much actually in this game the implementation is actually pretty decent not the best one but pretty decent once again we have the UI uh having having the motion artifacts if you look for example at the the subtitles if you look at the health bar or the Mana bar the stamina bar for example as I start moving the mouse they will get messed but it is completely fine for the rest so I'm fine with it I guess if mothers can do it in let's say one week developers are able to make it much much better with higher quality less motion artifacts you can for example look at AMD these FSR 3 implementation on Avatar frontiers of Pandora the frame generation in that game just just looks insane it is very very good very very good the input latency is very low um the quality of the implementation is very nice as well it is a win-win situation for me definitely definitely and now with the Last of Us basically one of the one of the games shown in my previous video one of the games shown running the mod in my previous video and once again we're running just for you guys to know it's always running 1440p sorry about that it's always running 1440p as you can see we have some artifacts here so 1440p always and with FSR 2 quality because we need you need to activate FSR 2 quality in this case it will be FSR 3 in order for it to automatically activate the frame generation so as soon as you activate the FSR 2 quality mode or balance mode it doesn't really matter you have to activate FSR it will enable the frame generation as well and this card would be usually running at around let's say 60 average FPS here 60 62 63 and yet we're running at over 110 and this is once again due to the frame generation mod the user interface sadly is still with bugs so it will still have lots of motion artifacts on the user interface only but on the game play itself it will run pretty well actually pretty well the only thing that I would like of this mod is that we would actually be able to use the frame generation without the FSR upscaling because using the frame generation without the FSR up scaling would look just much better as look at the subtitles as soon as I stop as you can see it's from the frame generation since uh well this is just a mod and uh luk FZ himself didn't didn't actually look at this of the user interface maybe he can't he can't actually access he just injecting the the frame generation uh on the normal FSR 2 that's what the mod does okay we have some a bit more motion artifacts here now it is really relevant it it just doesn't feel like 120 FPS in here before it was better and now it's crashing I guess no yeah it crashed can also happen sometimes it can crash but most times it will work decently another game that works is Ratchet and Clank for example but it will do the same it will run like 5 minutes and then it will crash so far Ford Sol is works fine as you saw the last of us also works decently well besides the crashes of course Ratchet and Clank works amazingly but it crashes somehow after some minutes and in some parts of the game uh Spider-Man it is also decent and Remnant to as a good implementation as well so it means that if mods can do this FSR 3 frame generation in implementation in let's say one week two days 3 days 4 days the companies now that they have uh the FSR 3 source code for the X12 and they actually have the real Engine 5 implementation the plugin it's just basically use the plugin and you have FSR 3 inside on real Engine 5 it means that we're going to see we're going to start seeing lots and lots of games with FSR 3 and FSR 3 frame generation implemented and that's a very nice thing since well it frame generation isn't really my thing usually but it's a nice thing because FSR 3 doesn't have much input latency actually um even without any kind of of Raiden anti-ag or so on the input latency is actually lower at least from what I tested it is actually lower than on the Nvidia side that I tested with a 4070 TI in some games uh and it works quite well so let's hope developers start implementing it as soon as they can because older Nvidia users uh basically Nvidia users with older cards can also use it so
