I Fired Them (Reasons Why & How I Told Them)

hi this is brad with copper creek cuts a lawn care company in northeast florida and today i'm going to tell you about a client that i recently fired now you'll remember this video it released on the channel several weeks ago and not to worry there's a full-time version of it soon i think it's over an hour for you folks who just love sitting down with an adult beverage and some popcorn or whatever and watching a movie of lawn mowing it's coming but unfortunately i had to drop these folks i made this initial visit i serviced there we are once more the next time i went back this is what i saw when i opened the back gate there is first of all a lot of stuff that prevents me from getting through the backyard we've got a water table we've got a fire pit we've got our sand pit and this stuff was there before it was just mainly stacked on top of the sandpit or shoved onto the patio what you'll also notice is that the grill and the table are now basically on the outsides of the patio rather than stuck against the walls that means that i can't drive my 48 inch mower through this is how i got through last time i physically cannot do that without moving their junk every single time it's a nice setup nothing wrong with what they did here i just cannot physically get my mower through so that was the first red flag where i was like oh man i'm gonna have to move this stuff every single time now then i saw this giant trampoline that got added so trampolines are they're they're tough man i know a lot of people won't even touch them because of liability issues you know you move the trampoline and then a kid gets on it and it breaks and they sue you because you were the last one who touched it even if that never happens you still have to either drag and move them every single time so you can mow under them or you do some little weird string trim dance they're just any way you slice it trampolines are a pain so that was there now even if i could get through the patio i've got this huge trampoline in the way i've got that play center that you did see me move but it wasn't easy so i'm like there is less and less that i'm going to be able to actually mow and more and more that i would have to string trim then if that wasn't enough i got to the side yard and saw this now you can actually see this chain link fence rested up against the wooden fence and i i would assume this is either to keep your youngster or your animals out of your garden this is a 24 inch gate i couldn't even get the 36 inch molar back here if i wanted to so again all that would have to be string trim so when i saw this i had already edged the front i had already mowed the front and i was going to mow the back i got back here i saw the stuff on the patio i saw the new trampoline i saw the gate and i said no this this just isn't going to work out anymore i loaded the mower up i got in the car immediately started drafting an email said i've got good news and bad news the good news is there's no charge for today's service i edged mowed the front and blew everything off the bad news is that no charge because i'm not able to do the back anymore and unfortunately i i just physically cannot service your property anymore there's no way for me to get my mower back there i've also dropped several other people over the years and my standard practice is to give them the last service free send them an email that says hey i've got good news and bad news today's service was free the bad news is unfortunately i can't continue to service your yard i hope the free service you know makes it easier to deal with and i apologize and i've had people say no you shouldn't do that last service for free look the 45 dollars i would have got is not worth it to me i you know i'm not struggling to pay a light bill if you told me that for 45 dollars i could lower my chance of getting a bad review left because i dropped somebody or raise the chance that they remembered me with a positive memory rather than a negative one i will pay that any single day so just a short kind of business oriented video if you'd like to see some more here's some that youtube thinks you might like thanks so much for watching i really do appreciate it you
