I ENDURED one of THE LONGEST FLIGHTS in the WORLD in ECONOMY! Was the Boeing DREAMliner a NIGHTMARE?

oh right my friends well I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed this series where I've been down under in Australia and I'm in Perth today and we're heading back to London's Heath row right from Perth Airport here on Quantus qf9 it's going to be almost an 18h hour direct Journey so that's going to be interesting I'm in economy unless they upgrade me if anybody out there works for Quant M it'll be gone by then won't it so just put me down for an upgrade in future video if Will you if you don't mind um but I'm traveling in economy cuz I think it was going to cost about something like s Grand more to travel in upper class and as my mom used to say it gets you to the same place anyway I've been stopping with um Paul and Debs here over the last few days it's been absolutely fantastic and uh they're going to say bye after the intro's rolled if you're new to the channel by the way do hit the Subscribe button if you like the content and also give it a thumbs up it's going to be a fairly days and I've been in your back bedroom there editing away and I've hardly seen you nipping out for coffee and stuff and then uh it's been fantastic so I was going to be on the streets otherwise cuz pink was playing and the hotels were all booked up so I'd got nowhere to stay so you guys are like well you can stop with us if you want so I like oh thank you very much so thank you very much I'm just going to grab my suitcase the Uber's on the way and um I'll give you I'll give you a call keep in touch that's okay we we'll call you yeah oh well all right then yeah make sure you do give give Uber now Toyota Camry and then we are on our way dear I bet they'll Miss Me Oh They'll miss [Music] me [Music] right so we are on the way to Perth International Airport which taking Quant flight qf9 over to Heath row London's Heath row it's round about a 17 hour and 45 minute Journey it is a Dreamliner again and it's not uh an Airbus A380 which is I prefer personally I've been on them before on the way to to koala Lumpa and the planes themselves I find are more spacious also there is no Wi-Fi on board the plane which I think is absolutely outrageous I'd rather go without food than without Wi-Fi but on a modern day plane come on Quantus if you're watching and also talking about food on the way here with Quantas there was not enough food there was basically a meal when you got on this is an economy uh and then also you got I think a wrap halfway through like a little sandwich Hot Pocket thing uh and then before you landed you got a meal as well it wasn't the the most um wasn't the most it wasn't the best meal let's put it that way and uh I was I was left hungry I ended up having to go to the snack cabin at the back of the plane which I never have to do end up getting crisps peanuts and bars of chocolate to fill up on so yeah not substantial at all that's the word I'm looking for so um hopefully it's better on the way back to London's he row but I highly doubt it unless they bump me up to First Class that's of of course I highly doubt that's going to happen either anyway onwards my [Music] friends [Music] oh [Music] he [Music] yeah [Music] oh right oh well the departures door I think it's broken somebody's working on it I think I'll go through the next one which is arrivals but you'll get through to the same place but before we do I'm just going to have a quick one last glance at the blue sky before before we get back to blighty where it's just gray clouds 95% of the time at the moment but Summer's on its way Summer's on its way we're on the right side of it Anyway come on let's get in there let's get this bag checked in drop that off um I can take it on board but I'd rather just not carry it around plus I've got my after shaveing which I don't want taking off of me because it's um which one is it ultraviolet man it's costly that you [Music] know [Music] right okay it doesn't look like there's any automated machines here looks like it's actually people checking you in which is a novelty these days isn't it everything's normally done automated I don't like that I like I'm a people person I like to talk to people and keep him in a job let's get it checked in and let's get through [Music] [Music] hi good you London please London Heath thr just a quick than 17 hours and 45 minute flight I believe it is you already checked online any bags to just one bag to please yeah can yeah like that there we go yeah she got to check something please upgrade me please upgrade me 17 hours 45 minutes just give me a little bit more space I mean it was about I think it was about eight grand more for first class in your bag any of these items but Tre power bank nothing no no she's uh just gone over there again and said there's something with my booking she's printing my ticket out which has economy then just there's something odd with my booking don't know what it is oh well unfortunately she went oh no everything's fine with it I thought ah thought I was going to get an upgrade oh well we got a window seat but I don't think we'll see a lot cuz they darkened the windows in them bluming planes in the Dreamliner and I don't like that anyway let's get to uh security and get through there and then we can just relax and watch some planes taking off Etc got my hopes [Music] up [Music] right well it's uh pretty empty so I'll see you guys on the other side cuz I'm going through security right so through security that was really quickly um little information here so I got stopped um just as I put the a passport over the uh lens uh and a Gentleman stopped me his name was Graham and he said I thought he was going to tell me off fill in and he said oh no he says I watched the channel big fan of the channel uh he said it flagged up that you were traveling cuz you did a video on the way out and Quant saw it um he said so they've made sure that I've got a seat in economy but the seat next to me that there's nobody in it and he says and also get off fly and also uh he said uh We've um booked you into the quantis lounge as well uh so he says there's a lady up there waiting for you um to go through to the lounge say and just help yourself to anything you want to eat uh and anything that you want to drink so gram thank you very much and uh thanks for watching and thanks for getting me into the lounge and a spare seat next to me as well come on onwards I think we're going to get through security now I'll fill up before I get on the plane I did say to him I said there wasn't a lot of food so uh I'll fill up beforehand so I'm well impressed thanks [Music] gram [Music] right so let's find the quantis lounge going to have a little bit of first class shall we thank you again [Music] grae right here we are in the Quant first class Lounge there you go thank you very much um wow looks very good can I see planes from out in there as well can I can see ples as well oh no not from this one sorry not from this one but there's food and there's drink that's good enough for me onwards thank you right got a good selection of foods here nice salads um cakes sandwiches have a look [Music] around [Music] so we've got sparkling wine uh Rosé uh what have we got there Pino gree what is this one chardonay chardonay I think I have some chardonay actually thank you thank you very much right so this looks very nice got a sandwich here got some salad some dips uh and a nice glass of wine so I shall um I shall eat this and then we'll have a look what else there [Music] is [Music] so the gentleman just come over and said uh good um evening Mr Davey can I offer you a glass of champagne so I thought it'd be rude not to wouldn't it so have a little have a little fish oh thank you very much you're welcome thank you wow actually that's really taste that's [Music] nice [Music] [Music] right so qf9 is actually coming in from Melbourne in a minute or Melbourne as you're supposed to say uh and I'm going to try and get it in and that's the plane that we're going to be on going back to Heath [Music] row [Music] right well there you go that's the plane that's going to get us back to Heath row it's going to be a quick turnaround isn't it get it all cleaned up and then get us back to he throw I think I might back down to the loue and going have another another quick champagne and then get on board and sleep right I've still got half an hour this said I can go back down to the lounge and uh have whatever else I want um this actually said I can have as much champagne as I want and like that within reason anyway drink sensibly drink responsibly I tell you what though talking about drink let's go and see how much Jameson is uh over here in Duty fre in Australia [Music] right just thought i' show you some planes and uh how much that was in dutyfree going to have another quick uh champagne got half an hour before a board and uh maybe a little bit of cheese and stuff and a few nibbles and then get on board so uh I'll see you in a [Music] bit so I pulled myself a f I just got myself a few dips and the gentleman come over and he said would you like a champagne I said I've just I've got one here he said no no no that's that's a different one that we've got there that we gave you before would you like that one that's a special one I said uh go on then may as well [Music] I think I might be over doing it with two definitely over doing it with two trying both this is the good [Applause] one yeah the good ones better but I won't waste any right time to board have to say feel a little bit tipsy uh but uh I'm all right I'm still sensible so we're going to get the plane I'm always sensible aren't I really um well actually no I'm not anyway Let's uh do you know what I played back some of the footage there by the way and I looked at my belly I thought blim me I look like well I look a little bit overweight let's put it that way and I thought oh I'll re-record it and I thought you know what no I won't I'll tell you why because there's so many magazines and everything's photoshopped these days and I thought that's what I look like so I'm going to go with it just go with [Music] it I mean you see Madonna Don't You fills her lips does everything Botox and people look worse just Own It own it that's what I say just be yourself and own it and be proud right so we're just about to board now I've got Paul and elain here who watched the well you've watched the channel when I was in tenie and stuff and you spotted me by my voice so I've got I must have a recognizable voice now we're we're about to board but the great thing is you are originally from uh Manfield I am yeah Forest Town you're from Forest Town yeah really yeah oh well well that's where at my office is now Forest Town yeah there Asda room there's more leg room uh and there's nobody in the seat next to me either so 48 got a window seat still as well so I should be able to get a little bit officer Lloyd Casey and Susan Reese your second officers Luke and uh w on board managers and all the C crew a very warm welcome aboard this qu Ro 787 Dreamliner service we Bly called this airplan MIP which is the uh Australian term for loyalty equality and a friendship so in that Spirit we extend a war welcome to all of you fight time today to P Road about 17 hours and 10 minutes or so I I would love to say that the conditions are um are lovely as they are here in per in London but as probably most of you aware at this time of the year we're looking at about 5 or 6° for our arrival and top temperatures for the week of around 11 or 12° um a little bit of vog at Miss forecast uh and the odd rate sh a bit of low Cloud uh for those of you that would like to adjust your watches it is an 8 hour time change from uh time here at per So currently 11:23 and uh on current estimates we happy you to on slightly ahead of schedule at around 5 5 on the morning of Wednesday March 6 further details as we approach Monday but uh do enjoy the Ino service with us and once again welcome [Music] right okay so we are in the air now we've got 16 hours and 38 minutes to our destination uh they've reset the screen for me because that wasn't working but they redid that for me the cabin crew are very very friendly um they all um call him by my name I think it's because obviously because um they've been made aware of that um that I'm the YouTube guy um but I think they're just nice in general very nice stuff they were nice and lovely on the way out they give us a little amenity pack which I'm going to open in a moment and tell you what what that is um I'm also going to try and get a couple of things from the cabinet at the back as well just a little snacks for on the way as well before they run out uh because they ran out when on the way out here and I think there was chocolate bars and some timtams which was controversial because I preferred the preferred a penguin over a timt but I wonder whether it's different on the way back to the UK but we'll find out anyway and have a wander back there shortly first of all let's have a look what's in this um amenity pack right okay so I'm talking into the microphone by the way and not pinning it to my lipel because obviously it's really really loud on the plane and you probably wouldn't be able to hear me so let's have a look what we've got in the immunity pack here we got some little ear plugs there uh to uh stop the drown out the sound of the plane got a um little eye mask there as well so when you got some YouTuber with a bright light on his camera shining then you can put your uh eye mask on um or reach over and knock him out um not advisable it's a Family Channel toothbrush uh we got there with some toothpaste in it um and that's it really but I might keep the little holder there always comes in handy um now we just wait for the food I think you get a little menu as well so um pretty good used to get a pen years ago but to be honest why would you want a pen that's everything toothbrush and toothpaste that's brilliant so they've just uh brought a bottle of water around which is always good then you can get that filled up as well if you drink that so just get it keep the bottle and then fill it up as you go along throughout your flight but I'm going to nip down now and uh have a look at the cabinet the snacks cabinet and uh see what they've got before everybody else raids it right so they uh they haven't stocked the cabinet yet however um got some interesting information for you actually uh first of all let's get the food out of the way they said you want some crackers so the um the cabin crew lady said uh ge gave you some crackers basically here they are look tasty cheese rice crackers anyway um the information I got was um the gentleman on board said to a um on the flight back to the UK there's actually less people there's about 20 less passengers on board and the reason being is because it's a longer flight on the way back they have to carry more fuel so they can't carry as many passengers hence why there's various seats that are now spare because they have to reduce the weight to so the plane gets back CU I think it's the third longest flight uh in the world so that is why there are spare seats on board because they have to carry extra fuel uh anyway once they've stocked up the cabinet uh she said the lady said she's going to come and get me so I can get aight service starting the in flight service I'm going to get a a video of the uh oh they're bringing the drinks around I get a shot of the cabinet when they stock it for you and uh think it think it's Wine Time wine o00 [Music] right okay so uh well I got a choice of two white wines there uh but also they have a sparkling white wine here as well uh Jacob's creep Jacob's creep jakc Jacob's Creek um uh so I thought I'd go for that add a little bit of Fizz into it as well uh and also uh cuz they didn't have my favorite you know blue none um some um crackers there with the Tomato dip by the looks of it so it looks very good so we'll get this poured and see what it's like wonder if they got any astis [Music] bante right well I'll tell you what I'm going to have to do uh is I'm going to have to clip running out of space now pop that there on the seat next to me I'm going to have to clip this onto my shirt and see whether you can hear me or not right there we go let's have a look what the uh sparkling mes [Music] like actually that's quite nice right let's open these crackers and this uh corn chips with tomato salsa here we [Music] go oh blam me I could have smell that salsa let's have a look at [Music] this [Music] H that very Moorish I just don't want to get it down me right I'm going to eat these drink that and I'll see you in a little while don't go [Music] anywhere right okay so uh dinner time so uh you could have had the beef and mashed potato uh there was also vegetarian choice and also uh chicken salad which is what I've gone for basically because I'm not great with beef to be honest uh upsets my tummy a little bit some beef does so I thought probably better not on an aircraft uh not overly keen on the vegg iian option so I've actually gone for the um chicken salad here um which looks fairly nice trying to think what what's in this plastic container here got a little plastic container don't know what that is oh nut uh nuts or something uh we've got some dressing as well also got some warm bread and also a brownie and I've also got um a white wine as well so let's let's give this a try right I'm hoping you can hear me I've pinned you onto my uh lapel there probably won't be quite as clear but I could do with three hands now we've got wooden Cutlery which I have to say I'm not overly keen on and um but we obviously can't have plastic these days so I'm going to go for the uh dressing there and take that off if I can get it off without getting it all over me come on ah difficult to open come on right that'll have to do opened it a little bit not ideal pour the dressing on [Music] there very messy get a little bit of pepper on there as well now there we go let's get some pepper on okay that's the pepper I'm not sure what this is it looks like pumpkin seeds or something let's give it a go if I can open it tear here really difficult to undo look plastic don't know what it is pumpkin seeds I think maybe could left them M um right let's uh try this out so got tomatoes in here Chicken in here obviously there's your chicken look not too bad got some cucumber in there trying to see what else we got couple of tomatoes cherry tomatoes if I can get them there we go little bit of healthy green salad in there as well very healthy for me let's try the breath which is warm smells quite sweet wow that's very nice actually might be cornbread I think for a guess and we've got the uh dry white wine from 20122 which is a hard is trying to see what that is for you does it say it is I don't know but let's give it a go there we go right let's test this out very nice some fruity notes pretty good if anything the chicken's a little dry um but other than that got my brownie for Afters which I might save for a bit I'm not overly keen on brownies to be fair uh We've also got another 15 hours and 18 minutes to go but this is the first meal so see you shortly cheers [Music] right well had a little nap just for 5 minutes when I woke up there's little timt on my table don't get the thing with Tim [Music] t it's basically a a lighter wer version It's the penguin don't get me wrong they're nice but I still prefer a penguin but I about say [Music] no right quick toilet break now now um then I'm going to get something from the cabinet think I got some chocolates and some bits I have a bit of a Diet Coke as well toilet very clean in here hand wash um got uh everything stocked up some nice tissues and stuff little mirror all looks good yeah pretty spacious plenty of leg room if you want to sit down as well which I don't I'm fine I've done my ablutions before I uh before I got on the plane but uh all's good anyway let's go and have a look at that cabinet hello there we go little mirror as well not looking bad to say uh about 2 hours not too tired yet see if I look right at the end of the [Music] flight okay so there's a good selection there a good choice We got chocolate hazelnut butter burst biscuits we got happy hour salted corn pretzels got some chocolate brownies in there we've got drinks in there as well soy crisps and some water and also headsets and uh amenity kits as well also by the way I did ask the cabin crew where they sleep and there's a secret room well a few secret rooms upstairs in the Loft three or four beds upstairs so I got some inside information might take a pack of crisps and some happy hour soy crisps uh and pretzels Etc cuz they're nice the happy hour ones right well I'm going to have a little sleep now but um let you into a little secret uh the uh the staff showed me uh where they sleep their sleeping quarters which is um literally like where you walk it looks like that says crew only basically across from the toilet and there's some stairs that goes upstairs and there's three beds up there uh where they can sleep it's a little bit like Star Trek it's weird they said I can't film it I'm not allowed to film it but they showed it me and it's really cool got the sleep sleeping quarters I said I don't think they can do sleep up there when there's turbulence um there we go so I got some inside information and I'm going to say hi to to George Gorgeous George apparently uh and um he's fantastic the the cabin crew on board are fantastic right I'm going have a sleep and I'll catch you guys later [Music] on right well okay had a little sleep looks like we're doing good for time actually 7 hours and 53 minutes now to our destination and it's uh looks like estimated time of arrival 446 um they've come around with some pizza uh which I didn't realize has got black olives on and I cannot abide uh but I'll try and give it a go without eating the olives let's see what it's like there you go dropped one of the olives not too bad it oh going all there's no more upet five right got have another rest [Music] right I'm tired now I've been I've slept a little bit but it's difficult uh I put my I did put my seat back cuz the gentleman behind me put his seat back um so I got about a couple of hours sleep uh on and off Disturbed you know you never have a deep sleep on a plane unless you're in first class SI um anyway thought I'd come and brush my teeth and um then go and have a a little snack or something I don't know um got 3 hours 45 we're going to land early about 5 a.m. or something like that so that's a bit of a bonus we're a bit ahead of time so um I'm ready to land now I am shattered what a long flight but the uh the cabin crew have been absolutely amazing [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right okay so it is um it's breakfast time let me get my microphone here so you can hear me there we go so it is breakfast time my friends now I haven't gone for the cook breakfast cuz I had that on the way out and um it it was okay but um the lady next to me had the fruit salad and it looked amazing so um I've gone for the fruit salad today with a little muffin cup of tea and some apple juice we've got just over two hours left now to get into London's Heath row so I'm going to eat this you don't need to see me eat it looks absolutely spot on you got uh some strawberries in there and some melons Etc so um looks Lush and a couple of grapes as well so I'm gonna eat this and then get ready for landing uh it's been a long long flight so I'll catch up with you in a little while right okay so we've got uh 51 minutes left to go um the George came around by the way uh and asked me a few questions and he gave me uh for answering the questions uh I I got a quantis cap and a um a Quantus key ring as well a little Quantus key ring um as a little souvenir and um ask me what the uh cabin crew like well the cabin crew have been first class I did say I was hungry on the way out maybe look at um putting a little bit more food on board and letting people know that there's actually a um food and snacks at the back and he also said if you wanted anything they can also rustle some stuff up for you as well I did forget to tell him however about the Wi-Fi if I catch him and I'll let him know um we need Wi-Fi on board for a a flight that this long that's the main thing so I'm going to try and catch him and just mention that it needs wi-fi quantis if you're watching you need Wi-Fi on your planes for a uh 17 or 18 hour flight I in fact as I said early on in the video I'd rather go out without food than Wi-Fi anyway that's me done on the plane I'll catch you guys on the ground we'll get the landing probably be a dark Landing actually it's probably still dark cuz we're going to land um and at about 4:55 a.m. local doesn't save time they're crap garbage seek assistance all the time rubbish rubbish as my mom would [Music] say right so while I'm waiting for my case um I spoke to George on board hi George if you're watching uh part of the cabin crew fantastic cabin crew by the way and not just because they knew that I was a YouTuber because they were like that with all uh the passengers on board I said about the uh the Wi-Fi and I said it's a long flight to not have Wi-Fi on and other other airlines like Emirates do have Wi-Fi on board but he says it's patchy uh so they end up charging the customers for it and then it doesn't work half of the time because there's not enough satellites but there are satellites being uh put in position at the moment so later on this year I believe or they are going to install Wi-Fi on board for their flights to Perth so you will will have it then and it will be a lot better and also he said they're also going to be bringing out a uh a route direct from London Heath row direct to Sydney and that will be the longest uh flight uh that you can get so I might have to take that one so uh there we go uh all in all it was a great flight really the I think the cab crew made it and also again um it was just uh it was just great it was really really good I like to thank Graham again I think it was for um over in Perth for um letting me into the uh first class Lounge
