I Didn't Know Moscow Russia was Like This | Russia 2024

so today is going to be a Monumental day hint hint but first place we're headed to is well was recommended to me by a local first day I got here they said I got to go try this place to eat and that's where I'm headed to right now it's near the railway station so making my walk there here it goes right up here it's a chain restaurant uh I think the name in English is different but in Russian is B I'm not going to pronounce that hey all right let's see what this one's talking about I just sat down but let's check out the vibe oh man I heard of this this is like a Russian crate bini or bini something like that show you guys the menu remember uh 91 rubles $1 us just ran up to 100 so this is like like close to $5 it's like close to $4 I forgot what this is called but it's very popular here in Russia so uh let me look at this menu guys and I'll show you what I order I bought water I thought this was still water but it's carbonated so they call Spring Water here carbonated well spring water is carbonated water here and then the rye bread then last the last restaurant I was at had like a paste it was orange this one's white but we'll we'll check it out and then got the main meal coming in the second oh and don't judge me I got another uh n lifka it's like a shot I still don't know if you sip or chug this so I've been doing both I sip first and I chug it oh no F there we go oh this going to be interesting right here and it's like a um like tuna salad it's good though it's um it's fire it's fire the main dish this is called uh let me see what this is called let me go my phone real quick this is called uh okay I don't know what it's called but it's kind of like a Russian dumblings inside you have different feelings normally I would have eating it with the bread but uh I was starving guys I was starving so I finished the bread and but we're going to dig into this and then it has fried onions on top I don't know if you guys can see the inside it's like a a dumpling Russian dumpling still have the dumplings I needed to order something on the side to eat with this you I think in the states we call this Russian salad here they call it Olivier salad I'm guessing the person who invented this their name was Olivier yeah and I know my breath is going to be hot after uh after this meal I had the bread with the the fish paste and then I have this yeah my breath is going to be kicking but it's okay put this over there all right and uh I'mma dig in [Music] and has um real fruit that's real fruit right thereo all right guys just finished up with the meal the total came up to uh 130 no 1830 which is uh maybe like 20 bucks yeah that was a delicious meal now it's time to head to the main attraction for today remember earlier I said it's going to be uh oh fix the camera remember earlier I said it's going to be Monumental so uh that's the plan all right guys entering the Metro if you need to purchase a Metro ticket yeah the machines to the left keep in mind it's all in Russian here we go easy peasy inside the Metro oh man think I want the oh nope straight ahead I have to take the one line and transfer to a different one all right guys see one other side let's get out the metro to packed house I think we're all headed to the same place so I'm uh catch you guys on the outside oh oh oh oh all right guys see I'm going catch you guys on the outside we got to go up uh these elevators these uh escalators all right be careful with these doors man they they slam let me hold this door for the next all right guys fig out where to go oh I see it on the left all right I'm show you guys in a second I told you in the beginning of the video this was going to be be a Monumental one so we're here at an ex I guess you would say an exibition Center Museum uh Cultural Center just allinone and it's supposed to give insight into the culture the history during the Soviet era so we're going to see a lot of Soviet style buildings architecture like this one obviously there's a lot in this Center and I don't know the history of of uh pretty much most of it if not all of it so this might be a a SCE shutting up and just filming we'll see we'll figure it out but check this out this is the entrance right here obviously they have guides and tours and look like they have something like a wedding going on right over here for the record it's not the KKK to the left that's a I think a a local thing those uh ghost not ghost but the people in white attire let me go over here see what's going on over here real quick [Music] [Music] all right I got here a little two wall they have a events going on like I said it's not the it's not the KKK guys it's uh probably a local thing but let's get through the entrance and check out the scenery and whatever your views are on this man there he goes right there you probably can't see him I'm going to get closer and if you're wondering zero shade so just keep that in mind I'm uh built for this but from the pictures I've seen I would say this is probably the main event right here bam we're getting close to it I never read a little bit about this uh Monument I believe uh six statues of 16 ladies each representing one of the Soviet republics I believe they're 16 in total I'm not going to name them well I'm going try to name them hold on one second like I said uh each Lady represents a republic one of the former Soviet republics I'm going try to name him off right now Estonia Lavia Lithuania uh Tajikistan tur turkistan uh usbekistan Kazakhstan uh kyrgystan Armenia Georgia I'm probably going to get something wrong I'm just naming off countries nearby armania Georgia oh that's all I remember many different uh exhibitions buildings museums uh there's a ferris wheel on the left other play areas it seems cuz I hear a lot of kids screaming so but I'm just going to keep it moving make it the be line and the vibe is it's lovely Vibe is lovely people everywhere kids out families out couples out hopefully the coloring is okay because of sun shining on the camera but look at this and then uh they got like a a dome over there there I'm showing this because uh to me it look a little uh islamin like uh Islamic architecture so I don't know if you guys think the're same look at that I was just in the Middle East and those buildings kind of remind me of uh of the buildings there oh man you can feel the water right here hopefully my screen still okay Soviet architecture all right let's go to the left yeah let me know what you guys think to me I find that the Soviet style is very um I'm going be boua grandio ghost it's like large it's uh huge it's um enormous and I guess that's just the Soviet style cuz a lot of the Avenues a lot of the streets are very wide very wide so it may not seem like when I'm walking on the streets that that there's a lot of people but they're they actually there actually is it's just that the the streets are wide if you speak Russian you know what they're saying let me know in the comments [Music] [Music] okay guys I tried ask him what was going on I don't think it's a marriage ceremony some type of CER crossing the street we're heading to the final spot right in the background I don't know if you can see it oh let me cross with these ladies oh I don't bam this is what we came for I don't know if you guys can tell it's a man and a woman well you can see the the man you can't see the woman but he's holding a hammer look like Thor's hammer and then the lady is holding uh something I don't know but I believe these are farmers and I believe um The Exhibition Center that I just showed you like all The Monuments and stuff I think in the beginning was dedicated to the agricultural sector long history long history long story but nowadays it's uh dedicated to just just all Russia all Russia all sectors space sector agricultural sector some other sectors all right now you can see the lady yeah they have a lot of statues of uh women also in another another area they're supposed to have the tallest man I forgot how it was word worded like the tallest female statue it's in a different region of Russia the kassan region or maybe a different region there we go shout out to all the farmers headed back to the room we're not going to catch the metro this time I'm going to catch this oh yeah I love public transportation this should be fun we're going to catch we're going to uh get on that cuz the metro station is uh a little ways away okay I ended up taking the I didn't take the light ra it was a bus right behind me right there that's the one right there nice clean bus but there's a little traffic so I decided to get off I'm pretty close and it's a it's a beautiful day too and I had eaten a lot so oh and everyone here rides scooters I don't know you see left side strong side everyone Ride Scooters like I was saying it's a beautiful day I had eat eting a lot so let me go ahead and walk this food off and uh man I don't know if this is going to be the end of the video or if we're going to uh we'll figure it out I'm going go back to the room chill for a little bit and we'll see what the Day brings we'll see what the Day brings
