I Customized A Hospital

this is one of the largest hospitals in the entire world and i'm going to spend the next 100 hours customizing it and on top of that we also have 200 000 to help a patient's medical bills we will be customizing things like this giant hallway this room this outside wall this nurse's lounge the lobby the family lounge this entire hospital wall patient rooms whoa that's actually so cool and just so you know we're not wandering around the hospital by ourselves we have tracy who actually works here and she's gonna be bringing us around that's me we're gonna start off by painting this entire hallway but obviously i can't do it myself so i brought some friends alright let's start this is the ceo of this hospital can we get confirmation that we have permission to paint on these walls yes you do have permission the doctors here said they wanted an ocean themed painting so that's what we're doing this is the biggest and most meaningful project we've ever done and we're not going to stop until the entire thing is finished [Music] you know how i said we have 100 hours to paint this hospital well if for whatever reason we do not finish we have to jump out of a plane nice and since doctors and nurses are constantly walking around we're making sure we're not blocking any of their paths everything over here is as close to the wall as possible they can just go right there we also put up these caution signs we have one over here as well here here and over here and you may notice that we're not doing any crazy challenges or being too rowdy because this is a hospital and we want to keep it extra quiet this area needed it so bad this has really brightened it up so i just found out that one of the moms at this hospital has a car that keeps breaking down so we're gonna surprise her with a new car i ended up going into labor at 23 weeks and six days it was trying to pretty much prepare me to come home with one baby he ended up having three brain surgeries that saved his life with that i ended up coming home with both of my kids we traveled a lot we had a truck the truck broke down i mean i want to do what i can to help and i would like to buy you a new car thank you do you know what type of car you like a lamborghini being able to make a real difference in people's lives is why we do all of this and to be honest i wish there was more we could do but we're here for a week so i want to do as much as i can to help as many people as possible [Music] i'm getting a little bit nervous because as of the mural we're falling a little behind schedule jake i'm gonna be completely honest you're working a little bit slow right now i have a solution i got you your favorite red bulls i think jake's ready to paint fast now so now i'm going to go surprise a couple of patients have a backpack with some ipads in there and i'm going to be wearing these goggles because we're actually going to go in the patient rooms and these are just the protocols we have to follow we're staying extra safe i actually have a surprise for you a brand new ipad thank you no problem this is so cool wow that's so cute so i have something for you guys i'm hoping it'll help you guys out with all the calls with the doctors do you have a favorite video you guys were like doing this video that was like for a long amount of time sleep deprivation is really funny to watch next we're going to surprise kaylee there's a lot of teal in here i like tried to plan it out as best as i can so i was just watching you in bella's video just came in she's like so zak's here i'm like what well we have a brand new ipad pro for you oh my gosh thank you so much thank you guys for coming today really lifted up like my whole like demeanor and spirit that was the best thing ever heard you were a subscriber yeah she was just watching oh she's watching her school video i wanted you to take this so yeah one day out of nowhere always healthy she just got sick we went to the hospital and literally we know three hours later she's having brain surgery it's just pretty crazy how a life can like just change so suddenly like that for those of you watching enjoy every moment because you never know when something will pop up or change i mean life happens [Music] we don't have much time left so i need to go check up on the artists and make sure that we're all moving along smoothly [Music] oh my god thank you why would the butt have a mouth maybe it's happy you don't know that's nice that's not how buttons work i leave for 30 minutes and this is what my friends do i made a do you dinner us to put the fish on the dish you probably should okay we'll cover that up for you all right so as you can see there's a giant dent in the wall right here trish told me that was actually the dent that she made don't worry i got you trish so we're just gonna get some paint over this so you're not going to be able to see it anymore it's all covered up trish and i are pretty much best friends now oh wow it's amazing it's beautiful you guys did such a good job nice we're done filling this entire hallway with the ocean mural this is a huge piece that wraps around the entire thing appreciate you all coming down and it's creating a more fun environment for children medicine is important of course but environment plays a complementary role the power of healing is multiplied manifold this is amazing unbelievably amazing i think the kids are going to love it crazy that you guys are doing this like freehand the hospital needed some more supply so we decided to do a little bit of shopping so this is michaela and the other day i was talking to some of the doctors and nurses and they said they needed some more supplies and things around the hospital yes we do i'll give you 10 minutes to put whatever you want in these carts and i'll buy all of it for the hospital really are you ready yes i'm so ready all right let's go this one's your cart this is going to be like an assembly line oh my gosh it's no present to you i'm too short for that oh mikayla you know what would be funny we just cleared the entire shelf these two are for me this one is for everybody else we may need another cart do we need any 70-inch flat screen tvs could you guys use one yes okay where do we get the giant tvs right here that's what i'm asking i don't think it might take just 10 got minutes when you buy more stuff just in case you guys get bored okay let's go whoa oh my gosh we got a giant speakers michaela is this beautiful yes definitely these have a lock on it which tells me it's expensive i think we're good all right let's go pay for this hey jake you paying today yeah i got you don't worry everybody follow me can i have your car jack i'm wondering how much we have to spend in order for the credit card companies to start getting suspicious zach one day your card's going to decline that day is coming soon but not today she is from kenya and she follows you guys and you said it's your so they told me i was going to be youtube famous oh of course there you go perfect i'm never washing this hand we are covering this whole wall with a giant banner so the patients have something cool to look at outside their windows we did a couple character designs all hugging a giant heart that my entire team and i signed we are only halfway there and we've only completed one mural we really have to pick it up on our way to find out where we're painting next now we're going to be painting three of these giant pillars [Applause] all done with this jungle pillar i think this savannah mural is one of my favorite ones and finally we have this ocean mural [Music] patients who are finishing their course of chemo ring the bell when they are cancer free and done with their chemo we have something really special for this next family and they have no idea hi how are you they were telling me you guys had a child kaiser right by us do you guys want to tell me a little bit about him he's an amazing child so kaiser is currently having chemo done what i would like to do is help you guys pay your rent for the next year and hopefully that takes your mind off of that and let you guys focus to the next box hear the elevator music wait we are actually kind of lost this place is so big who agreed that zach should have been the tour guide because i know i didn't they have a ton of therapy dogs over here and they're all so cute on a pet one oh it's one of the therapy dogs willie is a toy australian shepherd he keeps turning around because he wants you to scratch his bum willie has given consent next up we're gonna be painting the elevator hallway arts made a big difference in my life i hope that brings some color and life to these parts of the hospital is really going to have a positive impact on the patients nurses and doctors just finished these two shape walls and if you thought we already got a lot done well we're just getting started hopefully they have a bathroom up here i think it's this way i'm getting lost okay i think we found the restaurant toilet time started out by sanitizing the toilet we're gonna go surprise the next patient now her name is amanda and she's a special needs child i have a little fun plan for her okay let's let's dip some paint we're gonna paint some ears [Music] now we're gonna be painting this outside wall when do we start now so how's it been viv it's hot sticky and a lot of mosquitoes my legs got fit up so bad for mosquitoes yeah that's why i'm wearing pants today so your knees are just gonna get bit up [Music] so we're all done with the flower mural let's keep moving on i just heard that the hospital staff needs lunches today so michelle you're going to go to chick-fil-a you're going to buy out all their sandwiches and we're going to feed the entire hospital [Applause] a lot of room for the sandwiches they're rolling the cart let's go put it in the van look at all this chick-fil-a there's like an entire assembly line of things we have chicky phillies going all over the place [Music] i just bought 200 chick-fil-a meals to feed the entire hospital staff let's go distribute them just dropping these off so we got lunch i hope you guys enjoy them yeah like what just happened [Music] this is where the nurses go you can tell this is the staff room because it says staff right here that's proof we don't have an exacto knife so we're using a plastic how's that looking it's working look yes i found a knife by itself on the ground all done with this shape mural in the staff lounge onto the next i bought 100 tablets to surprise kids with they can learn watch movies on here and even play games hello we have this for you it's a brand new tablet nope put that to good use okay okay and i also have a youtube misho why are there doodles on the hangout we thought it was this wall michelle i said maroon since when was this maroon i'm colorblind so your baby's actually being born at the hospital we're customizing right now yes they came home last night i'm gonna give you three minutes to fill as much as you can in these three carts and we'll buy it all for you what three minutes starts now oh jake you're falling behind jake just grab these just grab these yeah you can just grab more than that oh my god i can't all right we're 30 seconds in jake get the toilets get the toilets all right one minute in oh my gosh thank you [Music] okay that'll fit you need your baby wipes we went a little bit over time but that's okay thank you and time's up good job let's bring it to the checkout my heart is still pumping all right so i'm just waiting around as this slowly skyrockets up we also got 15 toilets there won't be any accidents because there'll be one in every room nick i'm pretty sure you you spent the most money good job jake i will gladly spend your money all the time [Music] i think that's it it's time to pay for it all right all done thank you thank you thank you thank you very much now i'm gonna get all of this home my wife is gonna be very very shocked the last two weeks have been so full of ups and downs probably slept four hours the last week it's a huge blessing so to be completely honest i've always been scared of hospitals and doctors so i thought how can we change that perspective we started by making a bunch of paintings that are bright and colorful to put up all over the hospital we have a sunset mural for this wall this one's one of my favorite pieces it's a realistic scrunchie turkey and bun bun a smoothie mural this doodle mural turkey's being a good boy he's eating his fruit so i just heard that there is a family that needs help with their medication bills and obviously it can be very expensive so we're going to go help them pay for it we understand you guys just recently switched some medication and i know that can be really expensive we really want to help pay all the medication bills for the entire year it absolutely will help a lot we just want to say thank you it was a difficult year for us but because we had so many help and people like zach that helped us it made it easier to to go through it he wanted to give you a hug oh here you go i got so wrapped up in all these amazing giveaways that i forgot all about the art project we've really got to get back to work i am not jumping out of that plane we officially have 24 hours left and we are so exhausted the boys and i even went outside the hospital to take a nap in their garden this next mural is gonna be very special i'm gonna let the patients here design the mural and then we're just gonna turn it into some really cool art hey gavin how's it going we were doing a bunch of murals here to have you design anything you want and we'll incorporate this into one of our murals essentially it's like just like a wolf breeze i'm not like a social person so i'm just like i don't know how to talk well well don't worry me neither kitty what's his name i drew a dinosaur so the patients did designs like this and we're going to redo it in our style on this wall now i'm doing this mural with the boys the boy way better than the girls [Music] we ran into a little bit of a problem one of the patients wanted a cool t-rex drawn but after painting it i'm thinking it might be a little bit too fierce and aggressive for a hospital so i think we're gonna have to make the dinosaur cuter okay we're all done with a mural by the boys we turned the patient's art into a giant mural we have a fire wolf we have a t-rex we have a banana cat and we have cool abstract shapes i mean it's way better than the girls so this is why you do a mural with the boys this is jessica and she's the director of specialty care my team works with kiddos that have really rare disorders that impact them for their entire lives so just getting to meet you guys getting to have some joy today this means the world to them and you guys are forever a part of their journey now and they will remember this for the rest of their lives this is so huge for not only the patients and families but to my team to this hospital and we could not be more grateful for everything that you're doing today guys this is the last thing we have to do we're gonna sign the wall and then we're gonna do a silent chair [Music] and finally here's the before and here's the after throughout this video we met a ton of amazing doctors nurses and patients surprising them showing them art and just seeing a smile on their face really made me happy and not gonna lie this is my favorite video i've ever filmed just because of how much of an impact we made on people's lives i want to use the platform i'm given to keep helping people and giving back and i hope this inspires you to go out there and make an
