hey guys welcome back so I bought the most expensive welder in the world do quick walk around giant box a lock brand new 800 Duo air pack has a wireless remote should be able to control all functions of the machine from this remote it's got a little belt clip that's cool and cool there's two of these owner's manual turbocharged won't be this clean for long yeah man it's all shiny I don't even want to use it now it's just shop Art Shop art yeah well hang it hang it from the roof and never use it oh this is really cool yeah a no fuel no fuel all right I will change that I guess we're going to put fuel on it and then we'll try to start it all right it's been a few days we've kind of got this thing all figured out these remotes for Miller this is the first time I've ever had experience using this remote and it is very robust and I very impressed with how all this this works so basically yellow button and the Machine comes on when you turn the remote on it senses the remote is on in the machine you can hear the fuel pump priming push the red button one time press and hold 3 seconds the machine will beep seven times make me a liar here [Music] just like that now we can change every single setting on that machine from this remote from stick welding carbon gouging TIG welding remote I can change everything I can set every um amperage level voltage um I can turn the lead off the power the dis Stingers off so if you're like air arching inside of a giant metal container or a dump truck bed you can set it down and not have to worry about anything arcing or sparking uh air compressor all from the remote there there's still a lot of options to this I haven't fully figured out and then turn off you just push the red button and it turn off so we're going to do something that I've been wanting to do we are going to weld with some halfin rebar I've been wanting to do it cuz I saw a video about someone doing it I think it was a little bit smaller rebar and the weld came out decent and it didn't really look like it had porosity or anything so I made a stinger here I tried it a couple times times and now I'm going to record it so we see what that's all about we are going to run that on 800 amps I tried everything from 400 to 800 and 800 seems to be the smoothest for/ in rebar all right I'm going to get my tripod set up and then we're going to weld on that 1in plate that's just insane the amount of power that has you see my finger next to it that's a 1in plate and right there it was like burning halfway through it like the weld appears to be good but I can definitely see paracity in there if you were to grind that I think it'd be full of bubbles but it's very interesting to say the least crazy all right well I think it's time to get this sucker in the truck and uh get her working couple details on the machine 67 horsepower turbocharged engine the air compressor is 60 CFM at 100 PSI 100% duty cycle and then the maintenance really isn't bad every 500 hours for oil change on the engine and every th000 hours for air compressor so we can run two people so it's a Duo so off of the stick leads you you have two full separate systems here where one guy could be welding or gouging on this one and another guy could be welding or gouging on this one and if this guy's welding and this guy adjusts the setting it will not affect this guy at all it will have zero change on his Arc or anything so that's kind of nice but realistically you can have two guys welding you can have another guy welding off the xmt off of this plus air I mean you could you could have three or four or five guys working off of one machine and that's that's the appealing part to me is maybe you could take one truck in the field with three or four guys and just accomplish the same amount as two or three trucks all right enough chitchat let's get her set up for go in the truck we do have to weld some square tubing on the bottom legs here that way my the way I have everything set up it'll that'll make sense in a minute so let's get the old one out and the new one in so before we put it in there pull the panels off kind of get a get a good look at what she looks like like see here's the rotary screw compressor fuel tank lot going on all right we're going to put the panels back on now and then I get her installed we got this one ready to come out [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] you all right we got the back all steam cleaned out here and you can see I just lay all my my leads right underneath it and we set the machine on it and just Loop it right up we got our 3-in extension tubes welded on there we just cut them off of the 600 cuz they had to come off regardless so might as well just put them right on there so we're we're going to lift her up in there and and bolt her [Music] down for [Music] okay so a couple things that you guys are probably going to ask questions about how much was it well it was a little over $65,000 um it is not technically I guess you could say the most expensive machine that produces welds but it is probably the most expensive welder generator out there there is one model Above This that Miller does make but it doesn't apply to me there where there is a the remotes or the controls are down there is basically for a truck mount if this was turned sideways and you would get to it from standing on the ground so that doesn't apply to me but this is basically fully optioned out the best of the best welder generator that you can get um so how can I justify spending $65,000 on a welder generator well not only does it make me we faster as far as gouging and welding and being able to run a plasma that can at 3 in on the truck things of that nature you can have three four five guys working off of one Machine versus having multiple trucks the other trucks could be on other jobs doing other things and if you think about it so 65,000 if your average mobile welder was charging $100 an hour that's 650 hours of Labor and the Machine will be paid for that doesn't count drive time or all the time that the machine's not running either so it would actually pay for itself fairly quickly I'm sure you guys are going to have more questions and want to see more cool interesting things that possibly get done with this so if you guys got any questions or want to see something specific to this machine leave a comment let me know well that's it for this video thank you for watching stay tuned for the next one
