I Bought the Cheapest Side by Side on the Planet

so here it is the cheapest side-by-side you could possibly buy it's an rvrs 800 and i got it for 1200 bucks 1200 bucks so as soon as side by side came out i've always wanted one and one of the coolest things about these what they also call utvs which i think stands for utility television is that your untalented passengers get to experience everything you do unlike a dirt bike or an atv where you experience everything by yourself which can kind of be lonely now this can backfire because the first time me and caleb were in a side by side i may or may not have rolled it so i got the cheapest one you could possibly ever get i did not find this thing on the internet i'm sure you're wondering how i got it not all good deals come from the internet some good deals come from something called real life ish about eight months ago i made a video buying the cheapest harley davidson at the auction where in the video we bought the cheapest harley davidson at the auction for 1200 bucks and it actually wasn't that bad and it ran pretty good so instead of selling it i decided to trade it for the coolest thing that someone had to offer and i got tons of awesome trade offers from pit bikes to dirt bikes to livestock to old cars which i'm a sucker for all of these things one guy even offered to trade his wife and i hope he was joking but the one thing that really really caught my eye and i'm like no that's too good to be true even if it's rough was this thing right here so it took about two months for us actually to find the find the shipper who could deliver my bike to the guy and then bring this one back but then finally i got it i got my awesome rzr now considering some of these brand new can cost over 30 000 i thought that's pretty good and you know what could go wrong we do have another thousand dollars of shipping added onto this so now we're at 2200 bucks which still i would still pay 2200 bucks for it i did and then that's when it became pretty clear to me why he was so eager to trade this thing so he said that the engine was just rebuilt but he had no paperwork or anything to actually prove that and he said he was getting rid of it because i had a bad injector which seems kind of strange like if you just got done rebuilding the engine why would you get rid of it if it only needed an injector upon arrival we also found out it had no key no title and he had the uh fairly decent fox suspension just jacked up the entire way up the tractor mud tires that were on it were just destroyed it looks like the hours and hours of burnouts on it the ball joints were bad the brakes were metal on metal every metal piece on this thing was bent and for some strange reason the seat belts were missing that light didn't work which you know whatever and apparently a leaked coolant from some unknown place that he had he had no clue where the coil was going but there was a ray of hope let me show you it says doing it on the front you know with all that bad stuff like how how could you be mad at it [Music] [Laughter] i like this sticker so much i like that model for my life that i put the same one on my wife's car another ray of hope is you see right here it's got snorkel intake which is pretty much the international symbol saying that i take good care of my vehicles i don't want water getting in the engine so at this point in time we've never heard the thing run we've we don't even know if it has a functioning drive train at all chances are we just got scammed because he's got my bike and i got this but either way doing it so i had craig my mechanic fixed this thing up and he did all the wheel bearings all the suspension bushings all the shock bushings and all the brake pads and installed some cardboard in the roof to stop it from rattling and just when we thought we had everything ironed out we found that pesky coolant leak and realized this thing had a bad head gasket and to do that he took the bed off the exhaust off and the intake and pulled the whole top end of the motor apart but while he was in there he confirmed that everything did look pretty new and it was very possible that this thing did have a rebuilt motor like the seller said scale of 1 to 10 it was bad yeah yeah everything was shot this lived in like the louisiana mud pits in terms of like an this is an animal this is an abused animal this thing was beaten and destroyed and they they say like what's that saying um wrote hard or put away wet put away wet this was it but it was never dry it was always wet oh you know i mean it never and it was never put away it was always road hard nonstop wet for the life of me if you're if you're abusing a truck like this you're beating up you're doing awesome stuff burnout i don't know why you would take the seats out of it the seat belts i don't know it doesn't make sense something that polaris does is they actually set it up where you can't it goes to limp mode or like safety mode if you're not buckled in which kind of makes sense and that saved my butt before that's what goes to that but that part's gone the safety aspect of it has all been bypassed we got the ammo boxes who else keeps their swisher sweets and their wd-40 in the same container and that's just soaked it's gross in there i have this like vision in my head of who this guy was yeah is it awesome yeah pretty much it is kind of the stereotypical like side-by-side owner that we did then i'm thinking you know there's a reason there's uh two seats and four different uh cup holders in here what's the uh what's the preferred beverage of a side-by-side driver i think it's push-lite beer some type of beer what's in this one oh yeah utv ink utility television so this might surprise you but we actually clean this thing i i pressure wash this whole thing for about 20 minutes after we first got it this is the cleanest it's ever been in the past i don't know since 2008 so by now you're probably wondering about the tracks it's probably the coolest thing about it i mean what kid or adult doesn't want something awesome with tracks well let me explain so we got it it came with these tires on it and these are actually the front tires and you can see these things are just like worn out in the weirdest part i mean like these entire fins are just cut off you know to hours and hours of just burnout and abuse and the ball joints not not being on there and i mean it it was it was really it's pretty bad so obviously we needed new tires for it looking on facebook marketplace and i find this killer deal but then after i wired them fifteen thousand dollars for a deposit i realized it was a scam but then i found these awesome tracks they had the kit so you can use these same tracks on like any different side-by-side except you have to give it you have to get a different kit that that actually connects it to it these are normally like 5 500 bucks i got them for 2 000 to a guy who's only used them a couple times and they look they look brand new now i'm realizing i paid more for the tracks than i did for the entire thing it's still a good deal at this point we only have 4 200 in the whole build well not including all the work we actually put into it so i know what you're thinking you're thinking what's so great about tracks you know everyone else just uses tires well here's what it is it's not it's not going to make you any faster it's going to make you a lot slower but the contact patch at any given time on a tire is only best case scenario about this big and that's this big per tire so maybe you have this much maybe like a half a square foot you know i mean total and in traction on your entire vehicle this one track has like five square feet of contact patch touching the ground multiply that by four you have you literally have like i don't know 50 times more traction with something like this it should make it unstoppable all the coolest things in life half tracks like this like this even some side by sides have tracks so now that we got to put together it's 100 perfect there's only one more thing to do let's see what we can do so like any good rednecks in training we put on our wrangler jackets went to my friend's parents field and to not draw too much attention to ourselves we took it pretty easy well of course we use the only tie-down straps that i would ever trust tank straps it's also how we transport our own motorcycles buy them now all right let's try to do a kind of wonder what it's going to do with the top speed for the tracks correct that i was going to do like 20. let's see what happens a little bit the world's widest worst donuts everyone got a chance to drive it and we had a blast it performed so much better than we had ever expected and for just 4 200 bucks because including the tracks it was it was cheap fun but then the true spirit of doing it really sank in and i got my redneck on [Music] down then we decided to take it to the roughest iciest most brutal terrain known to man an icy grave that has swallowed hundreds if not thousands of jeep wranglers the giant ice pile at the mall parking lot so we're gonna attempt to do what no one's ever done ever i've seen tons of people attempted never seen anyone get more like a couple feet we're gonna drive the whole way across this honestly it's about 70 80 yards and uh caleb's coming with me i am yeah every time i do this i end up somehow upside down we need you for the proper weight distribution oh my side will be definitely heavier what do you think craig can this be done no you don't think so it's doing it doing it doing it now i'm a pretty optimistic guy but this pile was solid ice and with regular tires this thing didn't stand a chance and i wasn't exactly sure that it was going to make it so i bought a winch and a couple of extra tow straps just in case it got stuck or broke i also did not read the mall parking lot snow pile handbook to see if this was actually okay but everything worked out perfectly and this thing walked across that ice like it was nothing honestly i think it probably could have done it in two-wheel drive [Music] so i had all confidence when i was up there it had tons of track dude it did it didn't move really didn't waver like at all it went over anything what was that huge snap though we heard wow oh maybe it was one of the springs kind of kicking back oh could you hear that craig that he was like crap it was like shut oh snap was to break something so to properly claim ownership of something you have to name it and we can't name it doing it because i already named my wife suburban doing it we got to give it a real name and this thing has been awesome i've been completely impressed with what this thing's done i think it's only i
