The article only mentions them currently working on implementing SAM equivalent on Z490 motherboards. I really hope they add it to Z390 as well. I have an Aorus Master with i9-9900k and would love to be able to use it.

Interesting that Nvidia expressed concern that AMD might lock their cards out from resizable BAR on their motherboard chipsets.

Whether you're AMD or Intel/Nvidia fan - you got to agree that we all have a lot to lose if those companies take away our option to freely mix their hardware. Compatibility is what PCs are all about or else they are just very expensive consoles.

You know.. sometimes i wonder. We got technologie already incorporated into our hardware to make significant performance gains... all it needs to be, is getting enabled for ~8%? performance gains.

Yet it took AMD throwing SAM into the ring for us to get access to that, why is that so?

Hi, currently REDDIT Sunday BIOS and UEFI engineer here. Either those ceiling technique allow to store and retrieve an existing data set to the physical cell transistor without sacrificing the remaining array space. Feature like exist on any EFI board and are mainly used for shadow with an access method peripheral BIOSes/OPTION ROM and other selected stuff within the PCI express space.

Interesting, Intel is supporting older motherboards in a way AMD isn't with SAM.
