Human writing summarised by Quillbot versus Turnitin AI detection

[Music] foreign just a disclaimer ecological time does not promote to support academic misconduct hi in this video I'm going to be using coolbot to summarize my work and then after I've summarized it I'm going to run it through turnitin to see if turnitin picks it up as a i generated I'm going to do this test three times with three different essays each essay is around about 2 000 words I'm going to summarize it and run it through turn it in and see if the AR detection picks it up as AI generator so what I'm also going to do is I'm going to take the original human generator text I'm going to paraphrase it and then I'm going to summarize it and then I'm also going to run that through turnitin okay to sum up here is my original article it's published in the journal it's over 2000 words I've taken my original article and I've pasted it into the summarizer field of cobot I'm then going to summarize the work so over here this is the summarized version of the original article right so now I have the summarized version of my original article but what I'm also going to do is I'm going to take my original article paraphrase the whole article and then summarize it so that's a two-step AI assisted process so underneath here I have the original article that was first paraphrased and then I ran it through the summarize feature of coolbot remember that this is all my own work but I am using callback to First summarize and see what turnitin does and then I'm going to use it to paraphrase and then summarize and see what turnitin does I have three separate essays which I'm going to run through turnitin to see if turnitin determines that this is now ai generated text because I've used coolbot to assist me right so here are the uploads and I'm going to show you the result right now right so here I have my own work which was summarized and as you can see there turnitin is not coming up with any problems it is not saying it is AI generated but then recall that I also took my original work for first paraphrased it and then I use coolbot to summarize it and once again turnitin has not found any problem with this work not to be sure I wanted to do three tests so this is my second test it's also my own work and then I've run it through the turnitin yes there's quite a bit of plagiarism here this is already in the public domain so turnitin is picking it up as quite high in the similarity index because this is actually my own work already published on the internet but let's focus on the AI because that's the purpose of this video all right this is the second test remember that this is still my own work which I've run through quill bot but I use the summarize function and you can see that turnitin didn't pick up any AI generated content but I also paraphrased my original work and then I did a summarizing of the paraphrasing and here turnitin is picking up some AI generated content right I then did an additional test which was first summarized I also did a paraphrase followed by summarize and turnitin is not picky it up as AI generated at all now just out of Interest I did take some Wikipedia pages and I summarized it and also did the paraphrase followed by the summarize and here we see the similarity score is very high so turnitin is picking it up that it has been plagiarized from the internet but what I wanted to determine was does it pick it up as AI generator so in this case it also does not pick up any AI generated content remember that all of this content was human generated it's just that I used the quilbot summarizer or paraphraser plus summarizer to assist in rewriting the content and then I ran it through turnitin so in summary turnitin is not picking up the summarizing or the paraphrasing and summarizing as AI generated content keeping in mind that the original was all written by a human and just a reminder that ecological time does not promote any academic misconduct or plagiarism thanks for watching and cheers
