hello everyone and welcome to the couple's game i'm your host deepika and i happen to be one of the contestants best friends you can guess which one today's contestants are jay and robbie and they've been together for seven years this whole game is going to be about finding out who knows each other best the structure is going to be we're going to ask them a series of questions and they're going to have to write down what they think the other person is going to say who do you think is gonna win my money's on robbie let's get started and find out all right round one round one we're gonna start with a series of questions about rodney who has money that jay's gonna get these right what did robbie wear on your first date i know this all right ready show your answers okay what did you say black body con dress yeah what's yours mine is jeans leather jacket faux and buns no you didn't wear that on my best friend we didn't remember when you came to my uni that wasn't a date it wasn't my hand we weren't dating then all right so zero points on the board so far who is robbie's teenage celeb crush uh if you change this one i know this one is right and you have to own up to it because i actually told him this on a podcast it is already there i know exactly i told him this specifically yes yes i got it all right so jay gets five points finally on to the next question whose fault was it last time you were late well last time was this morning i mean this one shouldn't be so take so long rather it's pretty obvious next question next question what is robbie's favorite movie bollywood or hollywood um hollywood this is what this is what you've told me time and time again go yes all right people we're moving on which of you has the worst handwriting haven't you been able to tell in this game sir i have my own thoughts but this is about you too and go [Laughter] what do you mean not you when it really depends you have like graffiti-esque writing okay when have you ever written oh if you don't get this one today you're gonna have a bigger problem when you get home what was your wedding date what do you mean wedding day oh we got married the day you got married stage of the year is robbie's star sign and the bonus points what is my rising and moon i have no idea just guess i have zero idea i don't even know what rising and moon are and moment of truth reveal your answers leo the lion my rising is to be confirmed because i don't know and my moon is a cute one oh look oh and your rising is cute and your moon is funny all right we're ending round one with jay having 20 dwell on things okay round two all right what is jay's favorite color favorite color i don't i don't have a face is this for clothing or for uh it's just for life rather what do you think it is the to eat i mean not really anymore that's why but that's the only thing without you we never argue about what i want to eat no but what do you want to eat and you're like i don't know what do you want that's just a discussion oh i like this one what is jay's ideal date night um this is a great question uh specific right very specific get specific okay okay um three two one activity and fun time for activity adventures okay there's like something active i love something active and there's something relaxing like that's a good battery point who has better style me or him yes and why i know why you're laughing i genuinely thought deepika was gonna come in and be like i know i was waiting we need to get your stylist i really like your shoes today i had him in the 8th grade just kidding okay and robbie has 17 and a half all right and now it is time for round three and this time things get personal so now we're back to being jay's turn and we're gonna be asking him questions about ravi all right so what does jay think robbie's favorite memory of them together is okay what's our fave what's what's my favorite memory of us together yup three two one this is hard is it right yeah hey it was more so that we just got to we just got to do everything we loved together like we were doing paddle boarding every day we got to basically do our days that like the activity and then relax but every single day for like 10 days yeah ten points for jay on to the next question what is robbie's most prized possession that she would save during a fire you know when we have mini earthquakes i know what riley thinks about first ready and go ah just waiting just wait yes i said my prayer beads and stuff of that sort so we're on there yeah it's the right same category fantastic answer what is rodney's most cherished childhood memory oh that's my first cherry shot okay yes three two that's so cute yeah one ah i went really specifically yeah that's what we would do on my birthday yeah i went really so we would go berry picking because it was summer so my dad would take a day off and we'll go berry picking and um yeah obviously my grandmother every day okay so going into round four jay has 50 points [Music] robbie has 17 and a half points and a half question one round four what family member is jay closest to go amy baby yeah little baby amy yeah my sister we love her she loves him so much she still loves me but just never she does she she's always on running she's always on my side she's always on this side she's wonderful we love her what are jay's top three love languages in order oh great okay and go wait so this is yeah jay's top three this is yeah of him for himself what do you like you guys you gonna try three i didn't realize gifts was like number one yeah no no you always say like gifts in like gestures and like like when you're like two out of three years i've stepped up my game guys radi has given me three of the most awesome surprise parties in the last three years and i count that as gifts a gift to me isn't a material thing but it can be just like this big grand gestures this is going to be fun i want to know the answer to this what is jay's like weirdest quirk like weird thing he does around the house that nobody would know tell us okay i have two i'm excited i have no idea okay okay go oh okay so when he's really concentrating on something he does this nose thing what is it i mean he does this noticing where he's basically like he just you play with your nose a lot and then the other thing is he does this thing where if he's too hot he won't like take off his jump or anything he'll take half his sock off so just like he'll take it half off so he's like on the bottom part of his fur and not on it's just about that's true that it actually works it's genius she she got the half stock thing right and birthday yeah i got both of them lesbians lesbian and now you know j shetty's weirdest quirk last question what would jay's dream job be if he wasn't doing what he's doing if he was oh yeah okay oh yeah yeah ready final question boom yeah jay tell us more but like has everybody been looking at my art skills lately throughout this game i know that was really like like within like two seconds it looks like that person's like holding the world all right so we just wrapped round four with jay having 50 points robbie has 42 and a half but what you don't know is that before the game started i had them both write down what they predicted that they were going to have at the end of the game whoever is closest to their prediction without going over gets an extra 100 points so jay unfortunately you went over so the winner of the game is robbie with 142.5 points and jay lost i can't believe this it's okay this is a setup all right guys so now that we have a winner here we're gonna get a little deep and get our jay shetty on what do you feel like you learned from this so i think my biggest takeaway is probably that yeah i think we really know each other better than i thought we did my big takeaway was that the questions i really struggled with were questions like favorite color or favorite movie and those types of things and i i don't think that when you're first dating someone those things seem like the most important questions and even i think it's in movies we always see people being like oh but he doesn't even know my favorite color but like that doesn't define whether the relationship's good or not like that doesn't define the quality of your connection and so i think sometimes we spend way too much time in a relationship trying to know some of the smaller aspects which are insignificant like what's really important is how does that person treat you and how does that person connect with you and how do they respond when you're having a bad day and how do they make you feel better and and those kinds like i don't care whether raleigh knows my favorite color or not i care that she makes me feel good and that she's always happy and bubbly and and is encouraging me to improve myself like to me those are the things that relationships are built on so i think that was a really interesting reflection yeah i actually completely agree with you um i don't feel like the surface level stuff we've ever even really asked each other i don't think i've ever been like what's your favorite color i think it's more through observation and actually that's the other thing that i think it shows is if you don't know those things it's not necessarily that you have to ask it's more about observing so like the reason i know that you like wearing that black is your favorite color is because i've observed the clothes that you buy or the colors that you are most comfortable in wearing for example that was a surface level question but it taught me a lot more about you and so i think it was less that i need to ask the questions the more that i need to if i if i want to learn more then i need to be more present and observe you better all right so what i want to encourage everyone to do is in the description we're going to share all the questions that we just answered we want you to try this out
