you gotta know there's nothing too hard for your gun he the waymaker a door opener god we just want to say thank you this morning I don't know about anybody else god there's some things that I'm believing you for and believe in you for them for a long time but to be perfectly honest if you never do it I'm still gonna love you I'm still gonna serve you I'm still gonna praise you still gonna sacrifice my life to do what you called me to do father we just want you to know that we love you this morning and our hearts are filled with Thanksgiving I was in the kitchen year of the day and just thanking you for this and for that and I realized that I don't have the vocabulary I realize I don't have the mental capacity to look back far enough and then all of a sudden it dawned upon me what the Prophet said if I had ten thousand tongues I still be standing in my kitchen right now thanking you for everything that you've done god I just want you to know this morning that we are grateful for every blessing big and small God we're grateful for life itself you didn't have to allow us to be here today but you did and yes Father we've had some challenges in our life we've had some struggles we've had some mountains to climb but with every mountain with every struggle with every battle God if it had not been for you on our side and God I really believe you were on our side before we got on your side because there's some stuff BC before Christ that we should not have made it through but yet somehow we came out of it we can look back at people that we knew loved ones and acquaintances went through the same thing they didn't come out the way that we came out and the fact of the matter is is we didn't come out you brought us out and because you brought us out so god I just want to thank you for keeping grace I want to thank you for saving grace I want to thank you for healing grace just thank you for your grace this day father you've been so merciful for it to us you you haven't treated us the way that we've treated you and God we just want to say thank you and so father as we stand here together in light precious faith singing the songs of Zion lifting our hands to you our hope is in you our faith is in you God we're believing you to do something awesome I believe you're gonna do some things for people in this church that have never been done before I just believe that this year is going to be the year that we see you do things we have never seen you do before so just know that we're trusting you we're looking to the hills from whence cometh our help bless us this day and every day we pray in Jesus great name and all of God's people said amen amen come on and give God your best Sunday morning praise hallelujah oh is that your best praise glory be to God this is the day that the Lord has made it it is our choice to rejoice and to be glad in this day we are so glad to be back with you guys can I tell you some of you are some of you are not in my age range and you don't go back to the Wizard of Oz and Dorothy with her red shoes and she said there's no place like home trust me when I tell you this you can sleep in the finest beds you can ride them the finest vehicles go wherever you want to go there's no better sleeps like you're a bed there's no home that feels like you're home and can I tell you something else there's no church that feels like you're Church and so I'm just glad to be back at my church with my folks praising my god what an awesome day y'all be seated there's no man praise be unto the Lord we were coming today and we were listening to a message on the radio and it was talking about God not allowing us to see the end of a thing and I just want to remind you sometimes it's good that you don't see the end of the thing God won't let you see the end he'll show you he'll let you go through the beginning and everything all in between but sometimes when he shows that if he would show us the end everything we talk ourselves out of it because it would be too big for us but it's God kind of blessing they men so don't worry about what the end looks like you be concerned about what you're doing what God told you to do today because that's going to prepare you for the end of the thing amen so be careful over your words if God has told you something say what God says and say Amen a man says I agree with your Lord yes sir I am the I am the is it so it's on okay thank you I am the bearer of bad news this morning we start fasting next Sunday so so I had several suggestions from people at the church that said give us a weeks notice I don't know if it was because you wanted to get your pantry right or your mind right because some people need some time to get their mind right before we go into a fast and so what we'll do is we will have directives ready next Sunday we'll put them up on the screen so you have an entire week to pray and ask for strength because I'm gonna tell you now that some of the fasting that we're going to do is going to be complete with just liquids I don't know about you but I'm a person who believes in results I don't believe in doing anything without seeing results okay I want to see results show up in your life I want to see results show up in this church and to see Kingdom results show up there are certain things that you have to do it just doesn't happens right long so like the old folk used to say there's a certain effort there is a certain sacrifice there's a certain commitment that you have to put in to do that so just get your minds right because like I said I just believe this year is gonna be an awesome year go by your doctor's orders okay alright alright I have a few announcement we didn't do our hallelujah this morning do we all right when I get done with our hallelujah let me do this right now okay prayer request please pray for Bishop Edward Garland he's having a health challenge a serious health challenge his family contacted us and they need for us to pray for him all right so please lift him up and pray you remember you y'all know who big Tenggara bishop garland is he and his wife went back home to continue with the work that they started so please PLEASE lift them him up in prayer and also his family okay please pray for a debt y'all know but that has been out she's having us a health challenge so please PLEASE lift her up in prayer if there's anyone that you know that it's not here lift them up in prayer that's why we pray for every member of the River of Life Christian Center every day also I want to encourage you to please pray for your lost loved ones heaven is heaven is real but hell is real too and they tell me that it's enlarging its borders see I don't want none of my family friends to be going there cousin them unto them brother them sister them any of them to be going so you need to you need to tell them about Jesus Christ and get them saved a man sometimes you just pray God has send somebody of Life [Music] hallelujah I want to share something with you there several you have to understand that the road to prosperity is paved with principles and there are several principles in the Bible that have to do with giving and the consequences of our giving and I want to show you one but I want to give you a word of caution when I read what I'm about to read you have to pray about this as it relates to your giving how many of you have seen people standing at the corner with little signs if you look sometimes you'll see a little thing where they store their stuff and then Deborah's all wooden guy one day he left and he got in the car and he drove off believe it or not when we were over at the old church there was a lady who used to sit in a wheelchair she never came to church but y'all remember she would come and position herself right outside the church after church was over with the break guess where I saw her yesterday with no wheelchair standing up walking over on Mills Avenue right now so why am I telling you this because if you don't if you don't yes it's a miracle I started to stop but what I'm saying is is you have to pray and ask God to give you wisdom with what I'm about to share you in the back if you guys could give me Psalms chapter 41 Psalms chapter 41 it's not just giving in church it's not just giving you a pastor and offering I told you all the time look for opportunities to be a blessing in someone else's life again and so I want to show you this and so I'm chapter 41 while they're waiting to get it I'll go ahead and read it it says blessed is he that considereth the poor don't now watch this listen to the consequences the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble I don't know about you but I've been in trouble and when you get in trouble one of the first things you want is to get out alright so he says the Lord will deliver him in the time of trouble now watch this the Lord will preserve him and keep him alive why does God want to keep this individual alive because God uses this individual to be a blessing to other people so he preserves you and he keeps you alive because he knows that you'll be a blessing to other people and you'll obey Him when he tells you to do something all right keep him alive and he should be look at this not only will he keep him alive and he shall be blessed see blessed people bless people you understand what I'm saying blessed people blessed people right then he goes on to say the Lord will strengthen him up on his bed of languishing my healing is secured when I help other people that will make all his bed in sickness you see faith comes where the will of God is known faith comes by hearing and so now you've received something that will unlock God's plan a prosperity in your life and guess what it's not giving the preacher in offering father God we thank you for this opportunity to be a blessing today we thank you for this opportunity to praise and to worship you and to say thank you because God the blessings that we have in our life I don't care what anybody else says it's because of your goodness James says that every good and every perfect gift that comes from you the Father of lights and whom there's no variable there's no shadow of turning and so thank you for your goodness in our life thank you for all of your blessings in our lives but father you said when it comes to worshiping you we have to worship you by faith and when we give we have to give by faith believing that you are going to do exactly what you promised you promised to supply every one of our needs according to your riches and glory you promised that when we adopt a liberal spirit a spirit of generosity you said give and it will be given unto you good measure pressed down and shaken together shall men give into your bosom father we found out that when we help the poor it in turn blesses us with healing and prosperity and peace and all of these things and so we thank you for these blessings now now father God were people of faith we're supposed to walk by faith and talk by faith and so farther by faith we release our words into the atmosphere believing that you are God enough to bring them back fulfilled the way that we spoke them and so with boldness and faith we declare I'm out of debt my needs are met and I have plenty more so you got to say that thing like you believe it look at your neighbor and tell him you're out of debt corporately now as a church body we're out of debt our needs are met let me ask you a question before I go sit down does anybody have a problem with being debt-free no debt well seems like everybody would say it right all right amen say it till you see it my dwelling place your my portion you're my healer come on say before the mountains were have to let our heart to sing a melody to him so let's just stand with our hands wide open before him if you can and just open your mouth Lucy [Music] appraised [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] my [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] my fortress hallelujah you're all ready for the Word of God this morning before we get started I just want to say thank you to all of the ministers that took care of services while we were away you guys have no idea you all have no idea what an asset you are to this ministry to allow pastor Deborah not to leave and not have to worry about a coup or a hostile takeover or somebody doing something crazy while we're gone I just want to applaud you in church you should applaud them for just doing an awesome job and awesome job as I said before I am a person who believes in getting results and because I am your pastor one of my greatest desires is to see you get biblical results in your life and so we are going to talk about and this will be my most in-depth teaching on faith it's going to go several weeks but again it's about seeing manifestation show up in your life for a moment while you're milling around and taking your seats just just turn around look look at the surroundings where you are just consider the seat that you're sitting in the carpeting the stage all of the lights everything you see is by faith you have to understand that faith produced everything that you see and everything this ministry will ever become will be done by faith being the number one religious broadcaster in the Central Florida area for over several years starting with nothing all of that manifested by faith it took 13 14 15 years for some of these things to come into manifestation but during those 13 14 and 15 years I was learning and God was teaching me something through the midst of my mistakes through the midst of everything else my doubts and my fears and not being obedient he taught me how this faith thing works and so what I want to do today is begin to share with you what we're going to be talking about this is called the faith fight series and we're going to talk about several things we're going to talk about the faith fight for your family you know sometimes you have to be on your knees for your family sometimes you have a recalcitrant child that's just gone crazy and you don't know what's happening how do i how do I win that faith fight if God said great shall be the peace of my children and my child is acting like he's possessed by the devil what is this fight of faith that I have to go through to see the promise manifest in my life we're going to talk about the faith fight for fulfillment do you know how many people are in church living unfulfilled just going I mean just just going through the motions another faith fight the faith fight for self-esteem because I don't care how many faith fights you win whether it's finances health career if you don't think you're anything if you think less of yourself than God does then you can't enjoy all of those other things and so we're going to deal with faith fights in different areas and again what I'm trying to do everything I do I do with deliberate purpose I'm trying to get you positioned into a place so that you can see manifestation and because believe it or not everything that God has prepared for you has already been prepared it's not being prepared and so it's a matter of moving those things from one dimension into a dimension where you can actually use those particular things and so they're gonna operate by this thing faith all the time I remember um oh it was three years ago it was before we did the addition we walked into the place that we're living in right now and just walked around this three years ago talking about it and well before we did the expansion and claimed it and what not didn't have no money didn't have no down payment or nothing like that it took three years for that to manifest you see so what I want you to understand if you think faith is an instant process it is not an instant process because one of the key components of walking by faith and seeing faith manifestations is patience learning how to wait on the Lord David said I had fainted if I had not believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living you guys sang a song not too long ago that had to do with heaven coming down to earth and most of you don't know what you were singing when jesus prayed he said he pray he said father he said thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven what he's trying to get you to understand is heaven has something it wants to manifest under the earth that's going to bless your ally and bring glory to God but how do we get it from heaven to show up in our lives and so that's what we want to talk about this morning so with all of that stuff being said amen let's up stand to our feet and we're gonna read one uno dos verse and that's gonna be it and then I'm gonna tell y'all a funny story it's gonna be like a Joel Osteen story except this one wait now this one was real all right you know how you said we like to start off Stephanie every Sunday and so we're gonna start off with something funny but let's go ahead and read this text first all right first Timothy six and twelve let's put that a film screen let's read fight say that again now any good fight to me is the fight I win all right squeeze this fight the good fight of faith lay hold that's it I just want you to pay attention you may be seated to fight the good fight of faith fight the good fight of faith to be honest how many of you right now you have something that you are standing and you're believing God to do and you've been standing for a while okay do you know that the devil's job is to do everything that he possibly can to make you believe that what you are praying for whatever promise you're standing on he is going to throw the kitchen sink at you to make you doubt God's capability to do what he said that he was gonna do and so that is the faith part the faith part you know when you when you when you're tithe is a dollar okay that's nothing to be embarrassed about dime or nickel but you're believing God for the day when your tithes will be ten thousand dollars okay what do you do in between there when you've lost a job lost the house all that kind of stuff give you another good example years ago the house that we bought before this house the reason that we bought that house is because someone kicked our door down in the middle of the day and the whole church you gotta move all right so we're helping us move and whatnot and we were driving to the closing and a couple of things happen number one we got a call says you need to bring $50,000 on the way to closing okay and then I get a ticket I get pulled right I want to fight the cop Deborah's crying in the car cuz she's upset wondering where are we gonna get 50 you don't call somebody on your way to closing and tell them you need $50,000 so I'm 60 I turn around should I go back the Spirit of God says keep going so we drive out to this meeting tell them we don't have the money faith said keep going and do you know what happened the guy that was selling the house said it's okay that you don't have the 50 he said I will hold a second until you sell your house and let's go ahead and get this thing done we put our house on the market at 9:00 it was sold by five that that God did it just like that just like that but what I'm trying to tell you is on the way I get a call and everything in me tells me go back home and on top of this this little female officer is trying to trip on me and I'm just not good when I'm tired I'm not good in those situations but that brings me to my funny story can I can I insert it parenthetically you remember I said never make a decision remember halt never make a decision when you're hungry angry lonely or tired get on the first flight back Maui to Phoenix and we were up all day long because the flight center ye lot um don't leave until like 10:00 at night and so we were driving around killing time all day until 10:00 at night so no sleep all day I get on the plane and this plane this seat was the hardest but seat for some reason you have to be on the plane we got turn this way and you got to turn that way so I can't sleep so we get the Phoenix I'm tired boss some dog tired and and I get off and all I want to do is use the restroom and I saw the sign you know how they got these strange signs for these restrooms so I walk in I'm tired and the sake was a long thing that went the whole wall but I didn't know it was the sake it was modern just one long trough I'm tired I'm tired right so I'm walking him going I've never seen a restroom like this this must be a a modern restroom so I'm looking for some dudes cuz I'm getting ready to you know and see I said no I'd better go ahead and go in a stall then I walk around the corner I'm like I never seen this many stalls in a men's bathroom so I'm so tired I don't even close the door I just got to do what I gotta do turn around and there's a woman I'm like oh Jesus so I go outside I'm in the women's restroom all the ladies looking at me while I'm rushing out Sawtelle pass today and it's the funnest oh she just she fell on the floor in the air next God don't like ugly next flight we come into our land all right she's tired we get off the plane I'm going to get lucky I'm gonna stop go to restroom guess what she does walk into the dudes restroom and sees they leave folk alone that's the mess all right now we can get back in the Holy Ghost all right now okay now but here's the thing you you've got to be determined about this you have to have the same determination that Jacob had you remember when when he was wrestling with the Lord all night long at the angel of the Lord and he said let me go he said they brake approaches What did he say I will not let you go until you bless me did he get what he was believing God for he got the blessing but he had to hold on okay and so you have to have that kind of determination because you got to understand this is a fight y'all know Christians get into the faith and don't understand the fight okay the Bible says the kingdom of heaven allows violence and the violent press into it and take it by force because what you're trying to take what rightfully belongs to you the devil's trying to make you think you have no right or no claim to it and so this battlefield of faith is about this one not it's about this way it happens at night when you lay down and you're trying to go to sleep and you thinking about tomorrow and you're thinking about what you have to deal with tomorrow you don't want to deal with it but you're struggling with the fact how do I turn this over to God and let it go you know what I found out with some folks some folks don't know how to let stuff go and if you would let it go God would fix it but you keep bothering him and you won't let it go so faith listen when you're in a faith fight you'll stay up all night long when you're in a really tough faith fight you will fast without fasting y'all have never been in what it was it was it was serious I mean somebody's in the hospital somebody that I love and I want God to heal them I'm not even thinking about food because God I need you to come through and y'all never been there before I'm talking about in the trenches of faith to see that ministry that y'all are believing God for you got to get in the trenches because there are certain things that you hear it's like God I know I heard you there are certain things God will show you I know I saw you but God nothing around me looks like what you said nothing in my marriage looks like what you promise nothing in my finances looks like what you promise nothing that's happening with my career looks like what you promise nothing about my health in my physical condition looks like what you promised I know sometimes you guys get tired of me talking about this but I want you to understand something when I lost weight you know the first thing I Jesus help me yeah maybe yeah I said Jesus I need you to help me not one time did the Holy Ghost stop my going to my mouth not one single time not one time did the Holy Ghost walk for me not one time did he exercise for me I had to do those things myself and so there is a fight there is a struggle for manifestation you all are expecting God to do everything and the reason that you're expecting God to do everything it has to do with three things identity purpose and practice number one you don't know who you are if you knew who you were you wouldn't be asking God for some stuff because you realize he's empowered you to do it okay purpose when you understand your purpose listen provision follows purpose once you step into purpose God would be an unfair God not to give you everything that you need to fulfill your purpose but it just doesn't happen automatically again it is by safe sitting in the back of a little Toyota Corolla coming from a creflo dollar conference with no money in the bank no money God says start a television station the driver of the car laughed at me embarrass me made me feel bad I wish he was still I think he may still be in a line I hope you watch it my Bose my soul shall make his boast in the Lord and the humble shall hear their up and be glad so what I'm telling you is when we talk about faith fights first of all let me show you this look at Matthew chapter 11 and 12 everything that is supposed to manifest in your life the Bible says that we receive the promises of the Spirit by faith and faith is the hard concept because we are people of logic we deal with empirical evidence alright we deal with what we can see with what we can touch and when you walk by faith you can't walk by sight you simply have to trust God walking by faith I wish I had a blindfold it I'm gonna do a little demonstration walking by faith is like me blindfolding you and I'm standing over there somewhere and I have to tell you how to get to where I am and you've got to believe me when I tell you go left go right step forward step back stop here you see because that's what God does and so sometimes when God is talking to us faith stops don't make sense did you hear what I just said faith stops don't make sense because sometimes God will give you a faith stop and a faith stop is where you feel like you need to do something and God says your greatest demonstration of faith now is being still because now I'm gonna do something so I want you to be still you see so sometimes the greatest act of faith it requires no action at all but again it's a prayer and being able to listen to God all right so why is this Matthew chapter 11 and verse 12 we heard it before and from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force the devil does not want to see you happy he does not want to see you at peace he definitely does not want you see to see you walk into the fullness of the things that God has manifested for you because he realizes when that happens you become a walking billboard for God and a threat to his kingdom you see so he will fight you tooth-and-nail you know I think about sometimes I'm a lot I know I have room for improvement but I just want to share something with y'all before you jump out of your marriage pray and seek God about it I know people talking about how he ain't treating you right and see people who say stuff like that and then married a person you're divorced I've seen it happen alright so you pray and I know it's hard I know it may be in bed maybe a pride thing it may just but you know what sometimes you need to pray and wait on God because sometimes what he's working on had showed up yet because if when I married Deborah if you told her that day of the first several years that I would be standing here like this on a Sunday talking to y'all she'll slap you she'll cuss you out ain't no way in the world not him you see but sometimes it listen it doesn't look like it doesn't look like what it's gonna be I wish you it doesn't look like what it's gonna be but you can't see spiritual things with natural eyes and that's the problem that we make we look at a situation naturally and you one of my major prayers is this year God helped me to see it through your eyes we could love people better if we could see it through God's eyes you see and and when you talk about walking by faith one things I'm gonna struggle with this year something he told me last week and it's in his word that's how I hear from him he says he said no soldier that worth entangled himself with the affairs of this life that he might please him who's called him to be a soldier what he was saying is stop talking about all that political stuff he said it's time for you to leave that alone he said I got this all right I need you to focus on what I'm going to do in the ministry and in your life this year see a lot of things are distraction you see and so you have to identify the distractions and then refocus but have a fixed focus of faith on what you're focusing on that makes any sense to you all right so it says the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force now let show you something else Ephesians chapter 6 16 okay while they're waiting on Ephesians chapter 6 all right it says above all taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the devil leave that there for a minute and let's talk okay now we're talking about fight the good fight of faith have you ever paid any attention to the style of Pauline epistles some of y'all wondering that's not really my Bible what's the Pauline epistles all right those are the epistles of the Apostle Paul that's the Pauline epistles okay if you read his writings you would think he was a military person because he says so many things that have to do with fighting struggling and warfare he says in this book right here in Ephesians he says put on the helmet of salvation the breastplate of righteousness taking up the shield of faith wherewith you be able to quench all the fiery darts of the devil and take the sword of this then that's how I'd fight and stuff for you okay no soldier that worth entangled himself with the affairs of this world that he might please him who called him to be a soldier you are more than a car if you listen it sounds like this man came from the Army what is he trying to tell you you gonna have to press your way into this this is why the Bible says work out your own you don't have time to deal with kanye's salvation you don't have time to worry where the Oprah's saved or what's the Williams got a big lady Wendy Williams you have to work no work out your you have to worry about what sister sue is doing what brother so-and-so is doing work out your own salvation look at this with fear and trembling what I'm working on I don't have time to be following you okay all right so he says this is a military thing and we have to fight and you got to take this thing by for so you got understand you are in a fight but here's the thing faith a win every time first John chapter 5 want to show you something if you can hold on faith will win every time first John chapter 5 and verse number 4 says this for whosoever is born of God hands raised please okay whosoever is born of God overcomes the world and how do we do it and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith you see and so without faith it is impossible to please God if any man comes to God he must first believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that seek Him the reason I said this is one of the most important messages you will ever be taught in church because in the book of Corinthians the Bible says these three remain Faith Hope and love and the greatest of these three is love but faith works by love so if you don't understand love you can understand how faith works and if you don't understand how it works you can't fight a good faith fight see and it's so simple I know God loves me I'm one of his favorite children oh he is so arrogant he is just so bold listen keep selling rabbit go sit in the corner Trix are for kids if you understand what I'm saying what I'm saying is I know God loves me how many of you know God God loves you so if I know he loves me there are certain things that my faith tells me he's gonna take care of he said why are you wondering about what you're gonna put on what you going to wear what you going to eat he says the Gentiles have to preoccupy themselves with that because they don't have the relationship that I have I am your heavenly Father and your heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts to those that love him but here's the thing having a heavenly father that gives good gifts doesn't equate if the devil Mars your image of a father when you're a child I don't know if I don't know if that equates with you guys everybody didn't have good daddies some people had some jacked-up fathers and so when you come into faith and people are talking to you about God loving you now like a father those two things don't equate so reading your Bible because faith comes by hearing is how I began to understand that God is not like them okay and as I read and as my faith grows because faith comes by hearing I realized that the Lord our God is a son in shield and he gives grace and glory listen and no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly which puts the onus of responsibility back on me because by faith when I walk uprightly then I know that no good thing is going to be withheld from me so every day I wake up expecting good things because that is my walk of faith that is my fight of faith because your mind will tell you you're undeserving your mind will tell you well you really messed up yesterday your mind will tell you you can't be the righteousness of God not after all that stuff is happening in your life but faith tells me he loves me and because he loves me he has forgiven me because he has forgiven me he's gonna protect me he's gonna provide for me he has said that I am a part of a chosen generation a holy nation a royal priesthood so you've got to let faith change how you think coming from a little place like Greenville Florida they will not talk about this all the time the places that we've traveled our parents didn't even my mom listen my parents never got on a plane before I left Greenville I think one time I flew one time and so they lived in this bubble see listen exposure brings expansion just let that marinate exposure brings expansion but if you're never exposed you can never expand you see and so what God will do and the reason that God is showing you hi Jason the reason that God has allowed some of you to walk in some places where you've never walked before the reason that you have this thing that's this feeling on the inside that I can do this I can be here I can accomplish this it's because God is trying to give birth to something on the inside of you that's much bigger than your environment so listen never let your environment talk to you because your environment will tell you you're small your environment will tell you you are insignificant your environment will tell you you are not worthy you see and so you have to get past all of those things and all of that that's fight of faith now how can you fight a good fight of faith and say what God has said about you and you've never picked up time to read the book you don't even know what God said about you these are the funniest people to me well you know the Bible says this where is it what is it that somewhere first of all what you just said the Bible didn't even say true story about faith the Bible says there are those who are ever learning and never coming to a knowledge of the truth one day we stopped at a BBQ stand late at night over in Washington Shores and the gentleman that was standing outside of the barbecue truck was inebriated and I dismissed him that man stood there and talked to me about God and repeated more scriptures from memory no Bible but yet his life was a total contradiction of everything he just said you see ever learning but never coming into a knowledge of the truth faith is what takes the words off of them I don't have a thing takes the word off of here and makes it alive and you walk it out and you walk in it that's an amazing feeling when you walk in something that faith produce will throw your hands up every time god I thank you because I remember when this was a dream when you're riding in something that faith produce God I thank you don't have to catch the bus no more god I thank you are you listening to me you say it is the greatest feeling when you see what faith could produce but we got to get you there first got to get you there first okay so let's go ahead and lay this foundation for today's teaching and anything we're gonna go keep going further into it now here's the first thing I want you to understand the mechanics of faith I'm just gonna talk to you about the mechanics of faith once I lay a foundation for the mechanics of faith then I'm gonna show you how to fight amen how many of you have ever gone to a church where they showed you how to fight not physically I mean where they actually talk to you how to fight okay now so this is the preparation part now won't you think about something because sometimes you have to bring natural pictures into spiritual environment so that people can see what you're trying to say how many of you follow boxing do you know how long a boxer trains for three minute rounds 1242 twelve or ten thirty six minutes do you know how long a boxer trains for thirty six minutes and most times if he trains will it don't even go 36 minutes do you know how many mornings that boxer gets up at four or five in the morning in dark in the dark and a sweat suit running 10 miles do you know how much rope they jump do you know how much time they spin head and thought nobody yet just doing all that to get ready you see and then they're trying to get ready for a 36 minute battle so what I'm trying to do now is get you into a season of training and preparation so that when the battle comes that it's time for you to engage in your faith fight you're not on the ropes but you're coming out as the aggressor see you can tell when a winner goes to the ring you ever watch Mike Tyson go to the ring some of y'all don't even know who Mike Tyson is my tyson would make folks scared before he got to the ring no socks no no just a shirt and I wrote just walking all kind of crazy music just looking at you like who is that I mean you already jacked up there's a certain swagger you got to have when you have a faith swagger now people that are outside of the church and some people that are inside the church they have a problem when you are confident in what you believe that God is going to do and and they'll trip on you you see get past all of that all right now so let's go ahead and get into this the mechanics of faith mark chapter 11 verse 24 first mechanic give you some principles here's first one first one is is you have to ask the Father according to his will mark 11 and 24 says this well let's start it let's start it I'm sorry let's start 22 and work our way up there and Jesus answering said unto them that's Jesus says have faith and God in that simple just believe God have faith in God now watch this but barely I barely I say unto you that whosoever shall say watch this say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea now here's another part and shall not doubt in his heart okay that those things which he says shall come to pass look at the clincher he shall have Wow therefore I say unto you whatsoever things you desire when you pray believe you shall receive them and you shall have them next verse please and when you stand praying forgive this is another part you you can't jump over folk and get the God for all of you mean cantankerous unforgiving bitter Christians who believe that you can climb over the backs of other people that you have hurt and misuse and abused and get God's best it will never happen you can't start off wrong and end up right and whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap remember that's also a kingdom principle so he says in order for this to work in order for this principle we're gonna go back and look at it in just a minute he says you have to make sure that you have forgiven and that you got to keep this hard thing straight are y'all listening to me you have to keep this heart I'm gonna be transparent about something I haven't this is probably one of my not a vulnerability but when you recognize the enemy's attacks you got to get on it because it's about keeping your heart clear because the Bible says now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think according to okay alright now this year in this Minister you're going to see us birth several ministries capable pastors awesome pastors that are coming out of this church I am so excited for them but the devil in flesh will come and say what if they take some of your members now here you are have couples and people that are gonna go out and bless the kingdom and you preoccupied with your members don't you know when something like that happens you got to stop boom you got to kill that just like a roach yeah you don't even let that lit you don't let that live 37 boom before you kill it see the Bible says we are not ignorant of the devil's devices so when you know it do something about it don't just sit there and let it marinate and take over your mind and cause you to do something stupid put it under your feet and you do that with the Word of Faith you put it under your feet amen amen all right none when we ask it has to be according to his will right first John 5:14 I want to show you something first John 5:14 this is how faith comes in you and shout before something before it happens I'm waiting I'm a crew that go to get me I'm sorry it wasn't in my notes I don't worry about them they'll get it it says and this is the confidence that's a nice word confidence yo y'all know what confidence feels like okay um I Golf let me see if I can get a another sport I'll go basketball have you ever seen a player that's confident in his shot I'll give a good example Steve curry I saw Steve curry walk down a tunnel going to the dressing room they threw him a ball he turned around boom Steph you know who I'm talking about don't play me turned around from the lesson from the tunnel nothing but net confident confident confidence how does he have that kind of confidence before practice after practice boom boom boom see you gotta work faith and when you work faith you say then you can work it in this and you're confident see listen this is why God allows you to go through things and he brings you out because if he brought you out of it one time and he brought you out of it another time and he brought you out of it another time and this is the confidence that we have in him before David ran to Goliath he had to deal with the lion and the bear and because of his experience with the lion and the bear when Goliath showed up bigger than the lion and bigger than the bear you know what he said who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he dare defy the enemies of the Living God and while everybody else was running from Dave hey let's go pow confident when you're confident you talk trash [Applause] I dare any of y'all to play spades for me in Deborah now we may not win but I don't put your hand down you but you can bet but while we were playing we talking like we are the best players in the world I put down on my sheet dr. spades I have a degree in Spade all of your masters face up tell me quick all right you gotta talk listen if you don't have confidence in yourself how do you expect someone else to have any kind of confidence in you okay I go back to my scripture says this is the confidence that we have in him right if I ask anything not some things if I ask anything according to his will this is why spending time in the word oh Jesus is so important how can you know the will when you don't spend time there but when you spend time there and you see what God says belongs to you even though you don't have it if I ask anything according to his will then I know he hears me and if I know he hears me go to the next verse and if we know that he hears us whatsoever we ask we know that we have to petition but when did you get the petition when you asked wait a minute let me go ahead and say it again if it's according to his will and you ask for it when did you receive it you received it when you asked even though your circumstance didn't change your environment didn't change faith says I received it because it's according to his will now I've got to fight my way through and I've got to fight my way through all of my doubts all of my disbelief I've got to fight my way through all of the opinions of the peanut gallery see I don't give a lot I don't give a whole lot of attention to what folks say because folk will say one thing one day and they all say something else the next day but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever he never wavers he never falters he's not fickle he is faithful there's not a shadow of turning in him so regardless of what you say can you imagine Noah building by faith know it's gonna rain didn't he I don't even know if you ask God what rain was he just started building can you imagine how many people laughed at him how he was ostracized out there just just finding logs then he has to go out and find animals can you imagine how they ridiculed his boys oh man just let man your daddy crazy order it's gonna rain what is rain fool all right and they laughed until manifestation game you've got to learn how to let people laugh until manifestation comes I'm telling you what I know they will laugh at you while you're talking about it but faith has the confidence to say it even though it's unbelievable to them because you must understand God told you not them in the first place and you were enough telling for what God told you and didn't tell them they don't have any faith to believe what God told you they barely have enough faith to believe what God told them so you know they're gonna mock you you see and so this is why when you're fighting these faith fights sometimes you have to isolate yourself y'all I don't like this part sometimes there's some faith fights you can't take folk with you let me hear something as much as me and Lord have talked about this morning how many of you have loved ones if you could take what they're going through you would take it be careful what you love them enough that God if you put this on me I'll take it for them to be free okay that's what Lord told me that's not your faith by oh man that thing mess with me this morning he said that is their faith fight and you can not fight it do you know why many people in the body of Christ are tired you're fighting fights that don't belong to you and you know and it's not that you're physically tired now be able to spill over into the physical but normally it starts with being spiritually tired and when you get spiritually tired that's a bad that place to be in okay and so it then it spills over into being mentally tired what I've learned is there are some things I cannot fix and it's not my responsibility to try to fix them I'll pray for you in the background but the faith fight that you're in I have to stand back and watch it and be your supporter and believe that God's gonna bring you out all right amen if you don't believe me wait till you get some kids just wait till you get a couple of kids you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about okay Romans chapter 10 and verse number seven 10 I'm still in this first point I must ask the Father in Jesus name and I have to ask according to his will now if that's the case then you need to know why it's so important that you hear like the teaching that you're hearing now save is released where the will of God is known now that might sound simple but just let it marinate you can't release your faith for something that you don't know how could you release your faith to go to the Maldives if you've never heard of the Maldives what are they I'm 34th Street no exposure brings expansion all right so once I know where it is and you show me a brochure of the water and the the little Hudson and whatnot on top of the water and seat now what are you doing you're feeding my faith you see now I can believe see you so faith comes by and hearing by so faith begins where the will of God is known now flip the script what if rather than listening to teaching and words that encourage you to be all that you can be and to do all that you can assign like the army be you know what happens when you're not hearing that what you're hearing the reverse do you know how many kids have grown up in a household hearing what they couldn't do how many of you have seen the movie Malcolm X with Denzel Washington in it the year now he was a smart kid do you remember when he was in school and he encountered his teacher and that counselor what did he tell him maybe you should be a janitor maybe you should be you know why not maybe you should be a neuroscientist or maybe you should be this can you imagine what that did to that little boy we have a person that's supposed to be an authority figure that's pouring that negative information into your spirit and so what happens is you dumb down you dumb down to that level you see but you have to realize that God has created you to be above and not beneath the head and not the tail bless going out and bless coming in and so when I begin to see myself like that you can't tell me where I belong you don't hold the keys to my assignment my assignment came from my Creator I am very weary and leery of people that try to limit my faith I told you about the pool thing a month ago guys all you might as well join a resort that thing just cost too much money god I already took care of it and so what you have to learn to do is just delete block get rid I'm serious get rid of folk like that I have this thing now it took me years to realize and get to the place where I realized how damaging a lie can be now I don't want to have nothing to do with no liars and I made up my mind just gonna tell the truth about the situation alright because lying does a whole lot of damage and so I made a post I said if you post any kind of Lies and you one of my Facebook friends I'm gonna block you and that's exactly what I did because lies do damage I don't wanna have nothing to do with lies are you listening to me all that stuff damages what I'm trying to do the basic principles of faith now number two I must believe I receive the moment that I pray I cannot allow my environment to dictate to me God's response let me show you something don't respond to God based on what I know about my situation said in Corinthians 14 I'm gonna say it again don't respond to God based upon what you know can I tell you something let me let me see if I can find this because it came to me this morning and I want to tell y'all give me just a second we can do this in this church something I posted this morning and I couldn't remember it i'ma tell you what it is okay God is not limit God is not limited by what you don't have that's why I won't tell you God is not limited by what you don't have he always gives you more along the way then he does when you start he doesn't give it to you all because first of all he's got to know you're moving by faith you said let me show you something we're gone your tears don't move God you can cry all you want to your tears won't move God you can get angry and shake your fists of God won't move God your passion won't move God but do you know what will make God stand up faith every time you move into the arena of faith heaven pays attention to what you are doing because this is how God does what he does he works by faith and one of the components of faith is how you talk here's another tricky part you know how to be able to say some stuff the Bible says whosoever shall say yo y'all missed that didn't you whosoever shall say and now think about the pitcher in the illustration wouldn't you look foolish standing at the foot of a mountain move in Jesus name again when you look foolish saying to a terminal illness I'm healed in Jesus name and so you allow people to dumb down your faith and so you don't want to say it because you're afraid of what happens if it doesn't happen the way you said it so you just back off of it because you're afraid you see your confidence is not in guard your confidence is in you David said my soul shall make its boast in the another scripture Hebrews 10:35 1 my favorite text cast not away therefore that one needs to be put on the screen cast not away therefore your confidence now listen to this which has great recompense of reward he said but you have need of patience they have it all right now watch this let's go back I wanna don't throw away your confidence keep on saying God is gonna come through keep on saying he's gonna heal my finances keep on saying my building my career is gonna take off my business is gonna take off keep on saying my child is one of the brightest and smartest and most respectful children I don't care where you just keep on saying and keep on saying one because these promises belong to you even though they haven't manifested but this is the confidence that we have cast not away therefore your confidence why you'll be rewarded but you have need of patience who said that Deborah have y'all ever heard somebody say they just wait on him you see sometimes you have to tell people just wait on him I know it's not looking too good in my life right now but just just wait on him I know y'all laughing at me and talking about me behind my back but but that's alright let's just wait on him I know I lost my house I know in the midst of this booming economy Here I am in foreclosure you doesn't make sense to any but that's alright you just wait on him I know I'm dealing with some struggles right now there's some things I can't shake in my life but I dare you to wait on the Lord David said I waited patiently upon the Lord and he inclined unto me and he heard my cry and he bumped me up out of a horrible pit he placed my foot up on the rock and he established my door that's why he said just wait on him but here's the problem we don't like to wait and so instead of waiting we try to produce what only faith can produce God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah about something that to them was beyond the realm of reality the Bible tells you clearly that when God made this promise that the way of women had ceased to be with Sarah why wait and make the promise then you could have at least made the promise before menopause at least you got some hope right okay he weighs till everything shuts down and then makes the promise you got about 24 25 years waiting on this promise to manifest in the middle of the process flesh took over ask me how I know about what I'm teaching y'all about okay flesh tries to produce through human effort what Israel or the baby what's the other baby Abraham Isaac Jacob receives by faith what it receives by faith and so what you do is when you don't know how to wait you try to manufacture something you see that's a dangerous thing in the kingdom of God trying to manufacture a god blessing because it will never function like a god blessing you may fool some people for a little while but after a while it's gonna start acting up and that's why I'm real leery about folk fitting I always try to stay atop of emerging trends in the church but you got to be very careful about emerging trends because some emerging trends are not for you and they're not for the River of Life Christian Center you see so they decide we need to help God do this again and y'all know the story she talked to Abraham and had a little fine African girl there named Hagar said you know this how are we gonna do it you go ahead you lay with her brothers don't look at me sideways most of you always said you're Festus you believe that's the calling of God yeah I believe I heard the voice and what you said Sarah so all right so he goes there he gets and the baby shows up now when the baby shows the male baby celebration party it looked like the blessing but it was produced the wrong way it was produced outside of a promise that's what you made it's not what I promised what God's promised we'll always be better than what you make so then all of a sudden what they produce starts causing a problem because can you imagine Sarah who still is not pregnant and she sees Abraham interact with Sarah you know a girl every time walk by Hagar hang out when Abraham wait you know go over there and play with the baby a little bit they all smiling they were over in the corner all salty you know so she gets to the point where she can't take any more she got to go yeah listen even she leaves or I leave not only this she had but wait you told me to get with her she got that oh alright and that looking up ahead boy he's got to go to Abraham didn't want to put him out but he put him out alright what was supposed to be a blessing cause vexing instead of a blessing this is what happens when you produce something in the flesh and it's not produced to the spirit it will cause a problem rather than a braise alright this is too much stuff to cover okay now remember I said I'd have to believe that I received it at the moment I pray and I got sidetracked second Corinthians chapter 4 and verse number 18 why are you fighting this fight have you ever prayed for anything and it got worse how many of you have ever done that don't y'all know that's from the devil's playbook that's straight from his plate but that's an old play okay and and what he does is you're praying for this expecting it to get better and he ratchets up the tension in the situation and that's all designed to make you think that God didn't hear you when that happens you ought to be just that more determined because you realize hey God heard me he's working on something now watch this that's not rustic it's 4:18 that's 4:13 it talks about why we look none of the things that are seen for the things that are seen okay here we are while we look not at the things which we've seen that's hard that's hard do you remember that time Jesus encountered a man who had a son who was having some type of seizure activity and before Jesus was there the disciples were there trying to cast out this devil and they couldn't so Jesus comes upon this commotion said what's going on here and the man tells him about and tells him about his son and this always said he said he falls in the fire he falls in the water if you can have compassion on us he said doing if you can do anything have compassion on us Jesus asking weird questions just how long has he been this way what does that have to do with anything how long have you seen the same thing day today and today going through the same struggle day after day after day same trial day after day after day this is why I love the woman with issue of blood for 12 years same thing day do you know what your environment and what your situation begins to say to you after 12 years take today well I guess that's just the way God made you but regardless of what that woman kept hearing in her head something moved her with such strength and power that she was willing to risk her life just to touch a man's clothes and that faith was so strong that when she touched Jesus the disciples couldn't understand why he said who touched me there were people all around him he said no he said you don't understand this touch was different than all of these other folks you can't tell me that when you get desperate in faith that God won't just stop you see but you got to get to that point you say and so while we look not can you imagine what her body told her well I guess you're gonna be like this all the time why we look not at the things what you've seen you praying for your child and you get a call at one o'clock he's in 33rd Street praying for your marriage 2:30 in the morning you wake up check the house she ain't there he ain't there praying and believing that God is going to restore everything that the enemy has tried to take away from you but why are you believing you're crying because it seems like it just will not stop it is hard and I see I'm not gonna try to play play with you it's hard not to look at what you see because we're human beings and what we see has a tremendous amount of weight on how we believe and so you have to get to the point where you just turn your head and look the other way I don't want here and now Deborah will tell you this sometimes she'll be talking on the phone or you know people will be talking about I want to hear I'm not trying to be short but I'm working on something and when I'm working on something I know how critical what you hear I know how critical that can be to the outcome that you're trying to produce or the God is trying to produce and so you have to limit your environment amen I'm Stuart oh man swell all right let's take it one more thing we said I have to believe 2nd Corinthians 4:18 but at the thing is what you're not saying how can I look at something that's not seen this is the key can you believe for what's not there yet I'm gonna give you a real simple principle get the life that you want to see and build a dream board of the future that you want to see put it on your refrigerator put it on your mirror so that when you wake up in the morning is the first night you say pastor that is crazy y'all don't understand I don't know one week do you want to know how Jacob got rich visualization one of the ways she got rich you remember when he was staying with Laban and Laban was cheating cheating him out of his wages and he made a deal he said every lamb or livestock what it was lamb or whatever that spotted speckled and streaked those will be mine all the solid colors will be yours I'm trying to show you an important lesson about visualization what did he do with the animals that he had the Bible says he took pop or branches and he scraped the wood off so they would be speckled in streak and he put it in the trawls where they would come and drink while they were drinking the other animals made it with them and they produced what they saw spots specks now what you understand what God what God is trying he is trying to teach you a principle about how this works keep it in front of your face who was that hey got her Becca says find it for me write the vision down make it plain so that he that reads it it can run with it and then he says there's a powerful thing about writing when I when I was in college no matter what was said I got more out of it if I wrote it down even if it was handed to me for some reason it became personal when I wrote it down okay so he says write it down make it plain you should you have a dream or a vision about a business or concept you should be able to walk into an office of investors and tell your dream with such detail that before you finish there already reached in the back getting their checkbooks if you can't do that that means you don't believe in it well enough okay so he says now write it make it playing on table that he see because now what do you mean read it and run with it because you're not gonna do it by yourself let me get this straight on I know you think it's me US foreign sitting in the church the whole time not really a quiet guy that one day he said all I needed to hear you see and so what I'm saying is right so when you write it down and you talk about it God will send people along I remember one of the most overwhelming things that I ever experienced before we were coming to this building and planning is when they said we're gonna have a coffee shop in the building with food service equipment I'm not nothing about that no food service and industrial and commercial and then point us out or nothing about that Kern sitting right over there was sitting in the church the whole time that's his business that's its procession at that time gets it I'll do it the resource was all ready there so when you write the vision down and you begin to talk about the vision the vision will attract resources human and financial you missed it it will attract the now it will only attract the resources if it's a god-given vision if it's your vision you're gonna have a problem but if it's a god-given vision there are people there are resources that will come and join themselves to you at a certain time let me talk to y'all while I'm talking about this they'll join you for a certain time they're gonna fall off at different times when they join be happy when they fall off still be happy because their purpose is served you need to run behind me try to go get them back No learn to appreciate the gift of goodbye their season is finished now and you have to understand something on this walk of faith until the wrong people leave the right people will never show up and many of you your problem is you're holding on dearly to the wrong people not realizing this is not the right fit for what God is calling you as soon as you release them watch what happens I was waiting for you to get rid of them all a while let me talk to some of my single ladies in this church don't let your boyfriend keep you from finding your husband or better yet don't let your boyfriend keep you from being found by your husband because the Bible says he that finds a wife had a good thing but he can't find you because you all boot up where somebody's never gonna marry you so how can your husband find you when you got this joker in the way you got to get him out of the way first and then boys will show up look at this keep going cuz you got to run with this thing go to the next verse but this is where it gets y'all the vision is yet for an appointed time would it be wonderful if God showed you when the appointed time was if you knew when the appointed time was it would not take faith to believe it so he says its yet on the point in time what do I do in my yet well see you gotta have a faith filled praise and your yet you say even though your heart is broken my hand is still raised even though I've got some problems it shall not dampen my praise even though I'm going through some things you'll never know it because I'm gonna keep on praising them on like you will be surprised what will happen to you when you make up your mind I don't care what is happening in my life I don't care how you're talking about me it will not diminish my praise it's not gonna dampen my praises let me tell you something else if you messed up last night repent come to church and keep on praising don't stop praising but look at this at the end of that appointed time that thing gonna talk to you I love it I'm thinking about Syrian Alexa - men and women in my life alright but at the end of show speaking look at this it's not going to lie and you're the main one that was thinking it before I go I got to confess it y'all scared to talk okay you got to talk about it God told me he's gonna do so and so I believe God said he's gonna do it so so that's hard to say sometimes that is very hard to say especially when you're in a room of people that don't believe but it's in a room of people that don't believe that God wants you to say God says he's gonna do something else do you know who miracles let me tell Bush a little bubble then we gonna go home milk is on for y'all study them especially the first century church you don't need a miracle well pastor you just burst my bubble you walk by faith and not by sight but when I go into a room of believers I'm overseas preaching someplace and I began to prophesy to unbelievers that's a sign to them that the God I represent is real miracle see here's the thing about church but we got it so twisted we want to see God do miracles in church you know why I'm the bishop apostle so-and-so that God worked through no don't go in the hood outside of church go down to the palms go 300 Marcy Drive go over there do some miracles there that's where God wants to work a miracle he's already worked the greatest miracle in your life when he got you to say you are a miracle so he said go down in some places where people don't believe me where they think I'm fake where they don't even they think it's some kind of foolishness and watch me work a miracle there and change their hearts amen father God we thank you so much for your work God we're getting rid of the fasting a couple of days and while we're fasting we're going to be cross and he died but God validated his message because a few days later just like he said he walked around alive the Bible says he walked around for forty days still preaching still teaching on the kingdom of heaven and people still didn't believe him and so this is your opportunity to believe if you believe that he died for you if you believe he paid the penalties for your sins it is so simple all you have to do because I'm gonna challenge you to move in just a minute because again remember we're talking about faith it takes faith to get up out of that seat and walk this out and come down front so I'm gonna ask you to engage your faith but all you have to do is say pastor Jackson I understood what you just said I'm not gonna make a foolish choice I know I don't do everything right but today by faith I'm gonna raise my hand and say Lord come into my life if that's you and I just described you I need you to release your faith and stand up and make your way and come down front today and we want to pray with you today I need everybody pray let's see what the Lord's gonna do today hallelujah glory be to God amen I don't see anybody responding back up there you go [Music] [Applause]
