HOW TO Use The ANIMATION Gizmo In Rec Room (Tutorial)

animation gizmos are one of the coolest gadgets to rec room so in this tutorial I'm going to be showing everything there is about it to start animating what the animation Gizmo you want to pull out your maker pen and your backpack you want to go to backpack and click use on the maker pen once you get your maker pen out you want to look at the top of it click on the little search icon and you want to search animation and click the trigger to get an animation Gizmo now today we're just going to be animating a simple Cube so go out of your search get out cube and you just want to draw a cube [Music] there we go now that we have our Cube guitar animating so open up your watch click on connect you'll see this little dot right here click to trigger hold it you'll see a line appear and put it to this little gold pin right here and I'll say object added to animation don't worry this might look complicated but in this tutorial I'm gonna go in depth of what everything means so if you want to make a frame I'm going to click add that add to keyframe now you can have all these tools down here you'll see this little blue dot inside and with that blue dot if you move your Cube you'll see it stretches over to here now if I click on play the cube will just loop back and forth um for that animation and just click stop now we can add another one you could just move it up and if you want to access the move tool come down here and click on move now we added another keyframe so let's click add make sure this is two and we just brought it up like this now if we click play it should go like that click stop go to the latest keyframe and click add we'll bring it over I'll click play and should do that I want to stop and we're going to add another keyframe bring this down now with all our keyframes we should have that now if this looks weird how goes boom boom boom and then just teleport over there you can click done configure configure this make this ping pong let's go back at the edit let's click play so now it doesn't just teleport randomly it goes back up and now we have a simple animation so let's stop it now if the animation looks a little choppy what you want to do go back in this click on smooth now we'll make the animation smooth how this cube when it goes let's see it without smooth okay it's a little choppy add smooth and also on every frame you have to add smooth so let's add smooth on every frame now the whole frame is smooth and it's gonna be like a little circle which is really cool so it's not like really weird this line how it animates there what we can do is this Frame frame number one click copy let's go to the end it'll paste it and it'll paste that same thing so you'll see in on your maker pen and out if you clicks um click on it and click Ease on both it's gonna ease in like that so eases right this is clear keyframes basically it deletes them all time oh I'm pretty sure this just says okay play this animation and has to end in this time now that's how you animate it if you see it's not playing configure the animation Gizmo you can change it to Loop or ping pong ping pong is the best for like not making it teleport and look weird speed percentage basically you can make this fast or slow stop it and so this what that does is once the animation ends it just stops stop at start means it will do the whole animation come back and it will just stop now if you really want to play this configure this red pin right here that's a zero and turn it to one and now our animation we'll start playing I think that is super cool hopefully this helped out what the animation Gizmo if you're a little bit confused you can definitely create more complex animations but I kind of suck with the animation Gizmo I'm not a animator but if you want to become one that's really cool if I helped you you got a sub gotta leave a sub and yeah I'll see you guys in the next tutorial hey
