How to use Milliput to fix everything! BIG trick!

hello guys welcome back to not just make ice Marco here and today we talk about milliput and how to use epoxy party to fix every kind of problem on your models [Music] milliput is a two-part epoxy particle setting and self hardening in two three hours when you mix in equal amounts the two parts together it comes in a bunch of different grades but my favorite is the standard yellow gray that has perfect consistency for our works you can mold it like putty any kind of party but that's really like rock and it doesn't shrink in the process while drying so really important for us it's highly adhesive to to these materials so it's very easy to use it to fix gaps and imperfections also you can easily imperfectly send it out at the end of the job while sometimes the rubbery finish of something like green stuff makes it really difficult to happen this is only the tip of the iceberg of why I love mainly put so much and why I consider it far far superior to green stuff I used to have in my drawer three or four different kind of parties for different uses and purposes but with the incredible secret I'll show you in a few minutes and I call it a secret because I discovered that really very few people knows about this trick milliput becomes a super efficient Universal tool for all your needs in modelling I have a node blade that I use only for this job only for cutting milliput or something already ruined just cut a piece from one of the components and the same amount on the other one remember that's due to the chemical reaction the more party you prefer the fastest it will dry so know your stuff then start mixing the two parts together really really really really well the only downside in this step is that you don't have a clear change of color like I'm mixing the yellow and blue part of the green stuff so you have to be precise in the cutting phase and mix everything really really well after a good amount of mixing just because we can trust our eyes with the color change we are good to go here you have to feel a huge gap in the neck of this horse just take a piece of mainly put more detail it's all in the shape of your gap and fill with it the space between the two parts super quick and simple you can use your fingers or any kind of different tools from toothpicks to rubber scalping tools like these more professionals but really you can use everything just wait a little the surface of your tools with a bit of water to avoid the stickiness of the freshly made millet [Music] [Music] and here is a glimpse of the big trick I'm going to unveil when you are satisfied with your feeling you can easily and perfectly smoothness her face using a soft brush dumped in isopropyl alcohol or in this case I used methylated spirit at the end nobody will know in that in the spot there was a huge gap and the bond between the pieces in that area will also be hugely increased [Music] [Music] so you had a glimpse of the awesome reaction between milliput and alcohol and now we'll take that concept to the extreme really to the extreme all around the miniatures of the horses I have a microscopic gap more like an imperfection than a real gap where the two parts of the models meet after gluing plus all around the necks I have to feel a tiny line really really small and difficult to fill with the solid piece of dance party so here's the big secret mixing milliput with alcohol you can adjust its density and consistency in an infinite range you can create something super fluid and really liquid be able to fill a line almost by capillarity or something creamy for little holes or little imperfection or just to smooth out the surface if it's rough here I add alcohol with the dropper and I create the perfect consistency I need for difference needs on these precise models using just roll brush with the streak milliput becomes really a universal tool without using strands without really losing any one of its properties [Music] [Music] [Music] when it's dry everything settled super smooth by itself and the suface it's perfect but if you still find some imperfections or you want to perfect even more than surface you can send it quick and easy and if necessary you can add more milk put on top if you liked this video give it a like and subscribe remember you can always ask me anything down below with a comment and you can follow my projects during the week using one of these links here see you soon guys [Music]
