how to use animation gizmo in rec room

hey guys um today in this video my first video I'm gonna be showing y'all how to use the animation tool [Music] I have done a whole bunch of animations they're not good they're not perfect they're still animations though so I'm gonna spawn in this this is me if you didn't know this is me that's me if you if you couldn't tell let me show you my character so you got the headband you got the I don't have the mustache with the glasses because they looked weird but yeah my favorite color is blue so which makes the hoodie blue and go make the gloves and that's what my shoes in my life look like so yeah that's just me so we're just gonna make him do this just stand here and we're gonna make him we're gonna make him wave like this so first things you want to do is get something you want to animate so I'm gonna be animating this like I said you want to go to cv1 Legacy scroll over until you find the animation tool or you just go to search and type animation tool go to animation Gizmo spawn it in right there we're spawn it anywhere but I recommend it spawn next to him then you want to go to connect go down and you want to connect it to the piece that you want to animate so I want to animate the hand so I'm gonna add that see object added to animation and then you want to go to edit edit the animation tool and then use your grip buttons that your middle fingers on and then grab both of them and Pull Apart make yourself small and then once open this when we press add which I had to see that little blue dot right here that that's how you know that you're animating so I want to lift my hand up right here and then I want to add again so that you see frame two I'm gonna throw my hand up a little bit some more like that then I'm going to go to add I'm gonna pull it this way you want to go to add pull it that way and then you want to press Pro play see it's not the greatest see it's not the greatest but yeah let's try something a little bit easier than waving I'm probably just gonna like I don't know just I don't know what I'm gonna do actually I'm probably just gonna make myself like just it's gonna do something I swear I don't know what let's make him let's make them clap so you want to go to connect connect that hand and connect the other hand uh you wanna go to edit edit that and before you press add so you're not animating right now until you press add so you want to put your hands in the position that you want them in I'll just hit my hand um so before you animate put them in the position you want press add put pull this one in pull this one in until wait until they don't they don't touch yet and then you press add again you pull that one in someone you pull that one in some more and now you do that and then you press add again pull it apart just a little bit because I want to part just a little bit and then you want to go back to the formation that you were in before now we're gonna press play I'm gonna clap go back Club so done and then you want to press after you edit you want to press done and then you want to go to configure configure the animation Gizmo you wanna go to Loop which is playback mode go to Loop and turn that to ping pong then you can select the speed that you want it you can select the speed that you want it I'm probably just gonna put an 88 a random number and then once you do that you want to press the oh oh I move the hand Mission as well so you can't grab the animation Gizmo or the thing you animate it will go along with it so you want to compress press configure again press configure go with that on this right here and then up it to one just to one and then there you go you have the guy clapping now the things that you animate you can pick them up like this but once you let go they will just go back to where they were unlike these like they will just like just go anywhere if you pick them up so if you don't want people to pick up your stuff while it's animating you're gonna freeze it it's not gonna do anything to it it's just gonna freeze it see now we got him clapping there we go that that is how you animate now if you want to know how to animate some more more than this see you can still pick it up but if you don't want to pick it up hold on don't pick it up just freeze that [Music] you can't pick it up no more so yeah there you go the guy's just clapping now I hope you all enjoyed this video and I hope this helped with y'all animation skills and I'll see y'all in the next video which will be how to link a door to a subroom so I hope you enjoyed this video and bye
