HOW TO TRANSPORT EBIKE: Using a 40 gallon Tote

hey everybody so Rick Prince posted on the Facebook XP group about how he had used a crate to store and to transport his xpn and I thought that was a great idea so I went ahead and purchased the crate as well when we were at Lowe's in Grand Junction yesterday and I'm gonna set that crate up similar to what he had done on the Facebook page because again I thought it was a great idea [Music] so what what we've got here is a 40 gallon tote and it's made by commander I guess so what I'm going to do is I'm going to Dremel out the top of this so that I can use the outer portion of the lid here has added structure rigidity to the box then we'll drop this down inside to add a little bit more of a floor in the bottom [Music] [Music] [Music] well as you can see the bike does fit with a little bit of finesse inside the crate and I'm pretty happy with that being able to maybe Ange and I each grabbing an end of the crate to be able to load it in and out of either the trailer or into the truck it's gonna be nice it's gonna make it I think travel a little bit better we'll see how it fits behind the seat of my truck so I like the fact that it's going to be in the crate because you know if the tires are wet muddy or anything like that that would get collected in the bottom of the crate instead of wherever it is that we store it so and certainly the crate will be easier to wash out so big thumbs up to Ric prints from the Facebook group that came up with this idea that I stole from him thanks Rick there you go [Music] [Applause] [Music]
