how does it feel when you study so much every single day and still score the same as your friends who study one night before the exam hurts right I mean you have attended every single class you made the perfect notes possible you have sacrificed everything just to sit and study while your friends were playing Cricket in the ground you worked really hard but you're still struggling to maintain a good score they say hard work pays off but if that's true what happened to all your hard work hello everyone welcome back and if you're new here my name is and in this video we're going to discuss about some scientific techniques which you can use to become 2x3x4x 10 times more productive while you sit and study and I believe that I'm the best person to talk about this not because I'm a Topper but because I'm an average student an average student who managed to run his own creative agency Run YouTube channels freelance and earn amount of money be active in college clubs and campus politics and still manage to graduate from IIT kharagpur with a dual degree and scgp of 8.15 and highest package in mechanical engineering this year hashtag Flex now with that being said let's get started with the video listen get a pen and paper write everything down that I'm saying this video and stick it onto a wall after the finish this video this will save your life trust me with this first things first before we actually get into the scientific techniques here are some of the basic things which you need to do when you sit and study next time first one cut all the distractions phones friends parents girlfriends everything put them aside like this is very strong the second one Define what exactly are you going to study how long will you study how many questions will you solve in how much amount of time be very precise with us third one start listening to the white noise when you're starting something simple which doesn't require complex thinking capabilities and try to be in complete silence when you're trying to do something complex or while you're trying to do some cognitively high demanding tasks fourth one align your timetable according to the time when you have the least amount of distraction from the surroundings and highest amount of energy within yourself in other words the best thing to do is wake up in the morning before anyone else and start setting in the morning itself or take a power nap and wake up when everyone else is sleeping in the night and then start studying the fifth one have a study space and when you sit over there activate your god mode then with the basics I guess you might have written on everything which was said and now now is the time when we are going to discuss about the scientific techniques ready let's go [Music] imagine a situation on a Sunday morning you sit at your table and open your ncrt and start studying a chapter from inorganic chemistry you decide to finish the entire chapter that day but in the first 30 minutes you lose your interest you close your book and you did not study anything now there are also cases when people study everything from a chapter but at the end of the day they don't remember anything why does this happen and what's the solution the first one organize the information most of us plan to study the entire chapter in the same setting while some of us would be able to do this most of us wouldn't be able to sit and study for hours and hours right it's scientifically proven that our brains are better at understanding better at processing smaller things of information rather than bigger chunks of information so the first thing that you need to do before you start to study any single chapter is take a look at the entire chapter and then break it down into smaller parts now try to finish one part after the other and try to take smaller breaks in between them deadlines [Music] have you ever listened to the sentence which goes like work expands so as to fill the time available imagine your class teacher gave you an assignment to submit it will take you seven days to finish the assignment if the deadline is in seven days but if it would just take you seven hours to finish the same damn assignment if the deadline is in seven hours and that's exactly why you should have fixed deadlines but realistic deadlines not super ambitious ones otherwise you'll just get burnt out third one focus in the first day we have break into the bigger task into smaller ones and in the second tip we have given deadlines to individual tasks and now in this tip what we are going to do is called a focus print basically you start a timer and you start studying with no other distractions or attention to to anything else apart from the thing that you selected to finish before the specific deadline and you can follow any of the popular techniques to do your focus prints for example there is pomodoro where people sit for 25 minutes and then take a break of five minutes I usually feel this time duration to be very short that's why I sit for like 50 minutes of study and then take a 10 minutes cup break you can also use the ultradian Sprint where people sit for 90 minutes of study and then take a break of 20 minutes this ultradian Sprint is very interesting because it aligns with the natural human body cycle called the altered rhythms in simple words this ultradian rhythms are your natural human body biological Cycles which include everything from your digestion blinking of your eyes to heartbeat everything and blending a study schedule with the Natural Body clock will make your focus bending very effective and now let's address one of the most important problems that a lot of you guys have tarun I've studied the entire chapter man I've studied the entire Theory but I'm not able to solve questions what should I do see I'll be making a proper video on this later but one common solution is the interleaving effect I mean I've talked about this already in my two-year strategy video but basically what it means is that Interlink the topics to each other no matter what of the subject you need to use methods or ideas from other topics or subjects while you're solving the particular question no matter whatever the subject over the past few years studies from various groups have shown that this method can be highly effective while you're solving complex problems in mathematics most of us actually use this a lot while we are trying to solve questions but we just don't recognize it we just don't realize it for example in simple words there's a lot of geometry in Optics got it so if you might have understood this step then start implementing right away but if you did not don't worry because my mentorship program is going to be launched soon and I'll help you one on one to do this and now my last and my personal best step is don't revise there's a common mistakes which most of the idj aspirins do whenever you revise the chapter you revise it as if you're studying for the first time and that is one of the biggest mistakes that you can ever do instead take a look at the paper that you read turn it back take a new piece of paper get it here recollect and write everything that you can remember and if you don't remember anything then compare then you'll be able to remember better and if you might have missed out any points read those points again simple will save you up a lot of time basically human brain remembers much more when you ask questions about a topic not when you reread rear device all this and now with that being said this is everything that you need to know to study very effectively from the next time use these tips for a week and you'll already see the difference and there are two more topics first one the photographic memory and the second one studying for an exam and you don't have enough time for it I'll be making two separate videos on them later but for now if you might have liked this video share it to that one single friend one damn friend that you have who would feel this very useful I'm not asking you to like this at all but share it to that one damn friend would actually be benefited through this video and let me know what you want in the comments which video do you want in the next comments foreign [Music]
