How To Store Sheet Sets (A Hack!)

[Music] hi I'm Joanie and I'm kit and today we're going to share one of my all-time favorite home organizing hacks I love it because it doesn't require any additional products from outside your home it's actually organizing items within themselves and I just think it's the greatest little trick this is Joanie's version of fun and I'm excited to be along for the ride so this is actually a set of sheets that have been contained inside of the pillowcase of the sheet set and this is one of my favorite home organizing hacks why do you do this well I do it because I find that generally I'm grabbing a whole set of sheets at a time and so this way the whole set is together okay and you're pulling them off the shelf right so I store my sheets too on a shelf the extra sets of sheets are stacked just so if you can imagine a few more of these and I love to just be like oh I need new sheets for my son's bed so I just grabbed the whole package and then just carry it with me into his bedroom so if we were going to be having the same color sheets like less and pretend I have all white sheets and then storing them all in my linen cabinet using your little hack how would I figure out which set was which thank you for asking in that case I would either label the shelf okay and make sure that I place them right where they're going or I would consider using baskets or some other kind of containment possibly like a stacked or a divided scenario and we can link to some products below that would be great for storing sheet sets in that way I they're all the same color okay well will you show me we have an extra set of sheets that are folded pretty well okay you want to show us how you do your little I would love to okay so here we have the pillowcase this is so cute kit thank you I love this and here we have the top sheet and I see that you have here your fitted sheet but you have folded much more nicely than you exampled in our fitted sheet folding video if you haven't yet watched that you should see how kit folds her fitted sheets it's practically perfect for her so I see these are a little bit different in size and I do think that I'll tell you if you want your sheet set to look exactly like this on your shelf you're gonna have to take a little more care about the way that you fold them but I also think let's be practical and let's just do it the way you have been folded and you'll see the very slight variation but I just want to be sort of the in real life version versus the I took a little extra time because I knew it was gonna be on camera version want to be really honest here this is the IRL and I'm gonna say again I know I said before I do just pull my sheets out of the dryer I don't iron them so I have to say this is gonna make it just a little bit easier if you want to just tuck your flat sheet into your fitted sheet you've already just got this bundle you're working with and then you can take this line here that doesn't have any openings and it's gonna make it the easiest way to slide down and basically you're just gonna shimmy this on down into here shimmy shimmy shimmy okay and there you go so now you have this extra part of the pillowcase and there's a couple of options one is to just sort of fold it right on over you like all my tassels on that hole okay I do you say like I made it actually either challenge if it wasn't such a cute pillowcase I might be mad at you about it so yeah that is an extra challenge Thank You kit but yeah here you go so you can see I mean it's just a little bit lumpier than the one that I really took the time to smooth out and fold but absolutely functions in the same way so here you go and you can sort of start to imagine what that might be like on a shelf or dare I say in a basket if you wanted to have them sort of like folded and there's your hack so hey you go make that bad and I'll go make this bed off we go alright well we hope you liked what you saw today and if you want to see more content like this like subscribe come over to Instagram we hope you enjoyed today's sheet set Pok mm-hmm see you next time thanks for joining when the sheet sets try that three times sets
