how to set up obs and get your streaming career started let's get started adding a source press the plus button next click display capture on the menu that appears you can leave the title as it is and press ok another tab will open asking you which monitor you would use if you only have one leave it but if you have multiple choose the one with the content next we'll start adding audio to add sound make sure these two dials are set to appropriate levels the desktop dial controls the audio coming from your apps the mic dial controls stuff from your mic lastly click on audio in desktop or leave it as it is in mic select your microphone click apply and then start recording to stop recording click the stop recording haha the video file will be saved in the videos folder if you want the easier way to open this press the file button and it is going to open it if you want to start streaming we just need to add one more step on the settings tab go to the streaming tab select whichever platform you want to stream in but for example youtube page select the drop down menu get the stream key this will be in a youtube studio copy the code paste it in obs press apply start recording and you'll be starting to stream on your favorite platform
