How to setup a LAN server unturned (Dedicated server)

hey what's up guys this is over here welcome back to another video today we're going to be setting up an onturn server lan public server but i'm going to be talking about lan more than public server because in order to set up an internet server republic you'll have to go through port forwarding which i'm not going to be doing in this video but i'll give you a lead and i'll leave websites down if you want to continue with setting up your public server so yeah so let's get started so let's open our stream and here when you go to your library you have games and software selected so what you want to do is select tools as well scroll down and once you scroll down keep scrolling down until you find unturned dedicated server or you could just look it up here we go and once you find it you're going to install it and once you install it you just want to click on properties local files and browse and here we go you can close this now here we go we're inside of here so okay so what you want to do is create a new text document okay so what do you want to name it let's name it over and you want to make it dot bad instead of dot text okay yes i do want to change it so when you right click it right now and click on edit you're gonna paste this in here so i have no idea what's that but i know this one so this is your server name you can make it like dovah uh let's make it over for example my channel name and you save it this is for lan by the way okay i'll leave the public one down in the description and i'll leave this one down in the comments as well okay so now once you've done this all you want to do is just run it okay and i'll leave it run and i'll see when it's done okay so now it's running so let's click on the servers and click i have a lot of servers as you can see it depends on the name of course so this is the one that i've just made we'll leave these but we'll talk about them in a few in future videos and let's click on server and here we go commands dot d a t u if it's not like notepad plus plus by the way you can change it to whatever you want okay so here's the name that will be displayed to people in game so if you don't change this name i'll show you on screen what happens if you don't this name it basically says unturned okay so let's name our server dover though as well and what what do we have the port 27015 and you you have a lot of stuff like for example perspective uh first third and stuff like that by the way and make it capital and you have uh mode for example easy the difficulty and yeah i'll leave them all in a link in the description because there's a lot of things you can add inside of here but we're going to stick to the basic stuff and the map uh what do you want russia okay so now once you're done with this you save it you go back to your server where is my server oh here is my server okay and now what you want to do is close it so this is basically restoring it and once you close it go back here uh over the bat and relaunch it and yeah let's go in game to check what happens okay so now we're in game let's click on play server lan you can just go to lan and click on lan and once you click on then you can now join your own server so let's join it and since it's sand by the way look at the pink it's three like it's really low and here we go load please okay so now as you can see we're in game i didn't set the perspective yet so i don't i can't change my perspective sadly but yeah that's basically it so let's talk about how to set an admin and followed by that how to get a workshop map let's go okay so now we're going to set you as an owner slash admin so what you should do is get your sim 64 and if you don't know what's that it's basically like your id on steam that you're going to need so this is team id it's a website i'll leave it down in the description you just type in here your name so mine is the dover i'm not french by the way and you have cmo id and you have cmyd64 so i'm going to copy the cmid64 okay let's go to our server file over here uh click on servers and server command okay so now we can type in here now owner and paste in my cm64 id now you can save it and freely run your server okay so as you can see now we have a workshop map hawaii really good map so what you want to do is copy this link by the way i'm not on the steam thing i'm in the browser you copy this link and i made this text thing for a reason so i can paste it inside of here but you can do it in google by the way so as you can see the final part is called id something and that's the ideas that we need so you'll copy this id and any other id works so now we're going to servers okay and you you'll click on workshop download config so it basically downloads a workshop map so wait let me fix this if you're going to open it for the first time it looks like that but uh to make it easier for me i press shift enter shift enter again and i press shift enter here i press tab and here we go so we enter the id that you got and then you and if you want to add more than one workshop you just add a comma shift enter and type in another id and if you want to add another one comma and type in another one and that's it you don't add a comma in the final id by the way so yeah so that's the idea we need that's how i and i've already got it on my server so once you've done this just x out of here you go to server command and you set the map to hawaii and here we go and don't forget to enable the sheets by the way because you won't have access to any command basically okay so once you set this to hawaii basically you can now go out and start your server and the workshop is installed it may take a while by the way but yeah once you've got it you're all good so let's talk about the final error that i encountered before and how i got it fixed okay so let's go okay so as you can see this is the first error that i encountered so it told me that it doesn't hold the dedicated server from 2019 so what i did is i went to this website server hosting you scroll down and you want to wait here we go how to install steamcmd so you download it open the zip file and yeah here we go okay so yeah you leave it in soon and i'll see you once it's done okay so now as it installed uh all i had to do is type uh type in login and my username and then your password and if you have a tools indicator verification you have to type it in and once you're done with that so you want to download the server so you're basically going to copy this basis in here click enter and yeah and the source to do this progressing and once you're done you just click on this quit and yeah that's basically the error and this fix okay so if you've made this form thank you so much for watching the video this
